There was only war.

War defined the turning of a Chronosian universe, the heartbeat behind the tumultous stars and the harrowing void. War was the lifeblood of Chronosia, the highest calling that any of its billions of citizenry could aspire to. It was war that drove the Inescapable Vengeance across the stars. The crew had taken as its sacred mission, accorded to them by the Emperor and the Gods, to hunt the Coredian filth as they fled across the heavens. Not lucky enough to have been chosen as the vanguard force that even now fought against the hated Excrement in the Imperial galaxy, they turned their thoughts towards the fate of any Coredian vessel unlucky enough to cross their path.

But the Changer was to hand them an altogether more intriguing fate. They crossed the vastness of space through the Empyrean, the Warp, the realm of the Gods themselves, touched by the blessed stuff of Chaos itself as they seared through the hidden dimension. Reality itself tore as they re-entered the Material realm, trailing the crackling remenants of the Immaterium. Whispers seemed to follow in the wake of the great vessel, a Desolator class Battleship, as it turned ponderous auspex arrays to survey the surrounding area.

"Great Lord..." The voice was a hissed proclamation from the broken lips of the tech-priest thing that cowered before the central dais of the command deck, barely permitting his eyes to raise and behold the glory of their commander. "The sensors have detected something in our vicinity; it does not match the templates currently held in the cogitator databases...Your will?" It bowed low, torn and dirtied robes trailing across the undulating deck.

"Hold position. Have the crew move to ready positions. Summon the Squad Captains. I shall hold audience here, and they shall execute my instructions."

"As you wish, Great One." It turned, shuffling off into the shadows.

Ecanus chuckled lightly, almost sibillant as he regarded the holographic projection of the offending vessel. Distant starlight refracted through great view-windows, illuminating the corridors beyond this sanctum. He drew a gauntleted hand across a row of consoles and long-decrepit logic engines. Now daemonic power flowed through the conduits of the ancient machine, bound by oaths as strong as the ceramite plate which enshrined his hallowed flesh. He flexed his long armored digits, chuckling throatily as the other closed about the shaft of his Crozius, the debased symbol of his office, the great eight-pointed star emblazoned proudly, mace-like atop it.

Dark Apostle Ecanus smiled with inhuman cruelty, thin pale lips peeling back across the sharpened fangs of his teeth. The Gods had truly blessed them this day...

Be patient now. You will see Hurtrix again
Yeah right.
Captain Wikia was on the ridge watching the screens. He commanded the battleship, Glory, which left Hurtrix six standard months ago. His seonc in command, Commander Yellsin, was next to him barking our orders. Yellsin was well admired by the crew as a tough aggressive guy. Wikia often wondered why the command of the ship did not go to Yellsin.

A screen next to the screen Wikia was watching flashed red. Yellsin noticed the flash instantly, that meant the sensors detected something. Wikia noticed it soon after. Lieutenant Kelp quickly ran up to Wikia.

"Captain, our sensors-"

"Yes, I know, the sensors detected something. What do you have for me?"

"According to the computers, its a capital ship, probably a battleship or heavy cruiser." said the Lieutenant

"Send the diplomacy message. Maybe its another nation searching for ties."

A message, sent in thousands of different languages, was sent to the unknown ship.

Greetings, this is the battleship Glory of the Greal Galactic Empire navy. We wish to know who is out there.

This is the Desolator Class Battleship, Inescapable Vengeance. I am Dark Apostle Ecanus, scion of the line of Gabriel, of the Ascendant Daemons legion. I stand in service of the powers of the Warp, and the divine Emperor, Remiel De Drakan, their chosen instrument upon this plane.

We serve the Chronosian Imperium, most favored sons of old Terra, most beloved servants of the Gods.

We would know more of you, strangers.

Captain Wikia did not feel comfortable now. It was clear this was no ordinary nation that this battleship was from.

"Should we send a response?" asked Yellsin

"Go ahead. Keep the crews in their battlestations. I don't like these strangers one bit." He had to do First Contact rules though.

This is captain Wikia of the Glory. My superiors want me to meet with the leader of the Inescapable Vengeance. We eagerly await a response.

Ecanus chuckled as he surveyed the rush of messages throughout the ship in response to the new vessels communications. There were some who advocated diplomacy and manipulation in the name of almighty Tzeentch, others who thought that they should die swiftly in blood and madness as befits Khorne. Some would have them writhe in unknowable torments, be it in the embrace of Slaaneshi pleasure-pain or through the divine love of pestilant Nurgle.

He stretched up to his full height, almost 3 metres tall. He was Astartes, a man taken and reshaped into the finest killing implment the galaxies had ever seen. At the front of every grand Chronosian endeavor, they fought, clad in ceramite plate, aglow with the fury of the Gods. He let his hand slide along the shaft of his crozius, before spinning it to one side, handing it to bowed and cankered slave-helots. They buckled under its weight, bent-legged as they whispered prayers to the powers, sanctifying their master and his instrument.

Slowly, he let his voice drift out across the void, carried by the ancient communications technologies of the ship. He so preferred to feed his words to the Astropaths, to have their minds contract in direst pain as they let his blasphemies cross the void...But sacrifices had to be made.

I accept your offer. I shall come myself, with two armed effectives and some minor support staff. The Tech-Priests will be eager to see the workings of your technology; just as I am eager to see the workings of your culture.

There is much that can be learned from our...Cooperation.

Wikia then ordered Yellsin to prepare the ship for their guest's arrival. He did not want their Berrax prisoner escaping and killing the guest. That would put a damper on diplomacy. Wikia went back to his office and grabbed his military ceremonial uniform, he did not like these things though.

The Marines were briefed on the visit. They were ordered to guard the ship, and the crystal hold, he did not want that be seen by a stranger.

The hangers were also prepared for the arrival.

"This is Captain Wikia. You may send a shuttle to our Hangers."

Such a proud and noble vessel of warfare was devoid of shuttles, and so it was a Thunderhawk gunship which brought Ecanus and his retinue forth. Two of his finest Terminator-armored Squad Captains had come with him, among the finest warriors in his Host. He chuckled lightly, as he surveyed their armored bulk, almost akin to walking tanks in their Tactical Dreadnaught Armor. They had earned the right to wear it in countless campaigns, honoring the Gods with martial glory.

He turned his gaze to the hunched Tech-Priest who had came with them, blasphemously twisted mechanical implants sliding forth from beneath his filthy robes. He clutched a data-slate, making notes as they approached, his leprous skin crawling as he moved. Ecanus smiled. This was all he needed. He was an imposing figure in his ceramite armor, but the Terminators were warfare incarnate. They had come devoid of obvious weapons, but he still kept his crozius bound across his back, and they had come armed with deactivated power-claws.

The gunship touched down with a clatter, hydraulic legs steadying it. The hull was engraved with script, flowing letters that seemed without rhyme or reason, inscribed ages ago by the blasphemous tech-seers of Hydran. This vessel praised the God with every kill it made, with every force it transported, it's very existence praised Chaos.

The hatch slid open, and the passengers disembarked, eager to see what awaited them, their all-encompasing armor now gleaming under the glare of artificial light.

Twenty marines (http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff41/838millionman/GrealFTsoldier.png?t=1209714902) and two of the Black Guard were lined up. Their weapons were in a oblivious position to hurt no-one. The Hanger was cleared away of the fighters and bombers, but there was a corvette nearby, being repaired. Captain Wikia, was standing with several officers.

Captain Wikia was a human, but his subordinate, Commander Yellsin, was a Techar. Techars were gigantic insects, that walked like humans, but were smarter then humans. Every Greal vessel designed in the last century was likely to be by a Techar.

Torpedoes and missiles were put away. the ones did were not put away were disarmed and being carried away.

Ecanus bowed lightly, looking down at the pure-blood human who stood before him, apparently the leader. The great Terminator armored warriors glowered about them, the digits of their power-claws flexing with inhuman intent. Ecanus let his eyes drift back to them, nodding lightly. They ceased all movement.

"Forgive my bodyguards for their apprehension. My Liege-Lord, Gabriel himself, the Voice of Chaos, tasked them with ensuring my survival. I am Ecanus, Dark Apostle, Bearer of the Word, worthiest son of Gabriel.

We travel the void in search of the hated blood-foe, and instead find more. I am intrigued as to your origins, and how we might...Interact. Captain Wikia looked a little uneasily at the bodyguards, but he knew how to act with another species. Yellsin had a better time controlling himself. Greal marines were still at the back, some of them wanted to move away from the bodyguards.

"I am Captain Hull Wikia of the Greal Galactic Navy. This is Commander Yellsin, my subordinate." said Wikia, Yellsin nodded.

One gleaming augmetic eye seemed to regard Yellsin coldly, before it scribbled down 'consorts with Xenos-breeds' into it's data-slate. The robes it wore seemed to twitch with underlying movements; a metallic tendril coiling out to brace the slate as its hand moved to pluck at a devotional scar. The Gods were merciful this day.

"We are a vast and sprawling Empire, one of the pillars upon which the Galactic Empire stands. Yellsin moved uneasily when he noticed the cold eyes, this may cause trouble.

Wikia however, did not notice and began explaining Greal.

"Greal currently has thousands of alien species, only a few worth mentioning, such as the Techars, the Berraxs, the Galaxs, and the Remelars. The humans are currently a minority in the empire.

The empire rules eight different systems, two of which we are fighting natives. Our capital planet is Nova Reginix, and the empire from there is ruled by President Emperor Rollins Dallix (Human). We do have a congress with four thousand five hundred members that can veto anything the president passes.

Of course, we could show you our culture, do you think your superiors would allow you to one of our planets?"

"I am an Apostle of Chaos, a blessed servant of Chronosia. I have been pacted to hunt the Coredian filth. But a detour, a detour would be most pleasing. Show us your culture, let us see if our peoples can cooperate.

We are the divine sons of Terra, the hallowed children of Chronosia, given leave to conquer the very stars in the names of the Ruinous Powers, afterall." More black laughter. "All praises."

Wikia lead them to the bridge, as he did, he was explaining the rebellions.

"Well, the Berrax rebellions actually do not targeting the humans. Because the Techars are in a feud with them, and they are always responsible for rebellions. Every time there is a rebellion, as a show of power, we destroy their civilian centers. That makes them surrender easily. We can't exaclty destroy them, because that brings out the humanity groups."

After a few minutes of walking through the battleship, they arrived at the command bridge of the ship. Hundreds of crews were in the bridge, working on computers, watching the radar, and guarding the bridge from any kind of attack. Commander Yellsin noticed the group walk in and he headed over to the radar screen instead din avoid them.

In the end, might is a tool for establishing ourselves; be it upon single worlds or across the tumultous stars. It is the will of the Gods that we triumph, that we serve them and the powers they embody. We have shed blood, we have sought out pleasure and sensation, we have thrown ourselves at the mercy of capricious change, accepted the inevitability of rot, of decay...

In the end, our souls shall go forth to them, feeding their might and their power within the Warp. The legacy that we leave shall be one of victory, one of service, and one of true devotion to the Faith" He smiled lightly, raising his hands, almost haloed by the light of the bridge refracting madly off of the polished head of his Crozius. That is why beings like myself were created, taken at a young age and made into most perfect servants of the Gods, blessed with functional organs which make us all the mightier.

We are the Astartes, we are the weapons by which Remiel shall reshape all that is, and offer up the spoils to the Gods. Only then shall the blessings of the Immaterium be gifted to all who supplicate themselves and embrace the True Path. Chaos."

"Your culture sounds just as interesting as ours. maybe one day I could visit it." said Wikia. "Anyway, this is th e extent of the starbase. We can head down to the planet if you wish. We ahve several methods of transportation. Number one: shuttles, number two: Battleship, number three: your ship."

"Trust me Captain, one day all humanity will know what it means to walk a Chronosian world, solemn in observance to the rights of the Gods. Chaos has guided us, shepharded us to glory and power. We are strong alone, and as part of the organisations we lend our strength to; organisations like the Galactic Empire."

He smiled lightly. "A shuttle will suffice, I'm sure. Tell me more of your people."

Wikia explained as they were heading to the docking area where all the shuttles were.
"Well, Nova Reginix, the planet we are going too, is a unique planet. Half the planets in the empire are mostly covered with oceans, but Nova Reginix thankfully is not an ocean planet. Half the planet's surface is covered in water, while the other half is green plains. Most of the plains are now covered with big cities, such as the capital (http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m282/hlbusseyj/future_city_downtown.jpg), Which has eight hundred million people. I grew up in small towns that spring up near big cities. Most of the humans in the empire are on Nova Reginix. Now, step through here." said Wikia, showing him the entrance into a large shuttle."If you're lucky, we may even get to see the president and the congress."

"He is a priest of the Mechanicus" Ecanus explained "A techpriest who now seeks to understand the Gods, and their own Chaotic interpretation of the Machine God, through the sciences. They maintain our fighting machines, our weapons, and staff the great Forge-Worlds. Entire worlds given over to the industry of war and dark science. It is there that such wonders as the Titan Legions bestride the iron earth.

Wondrous machines, God-Machines. Fighting constructs beyond imagining. A Titan can lay low entire armies; melt cities to glass. Great and terrible instruments of the Gods. As mighty an Avatar as a Daemon Prince..."

Wikia listen carefully to his words, his nation indeed was interesting. Wikia and the delegates entered a "room" in the shuttle.

"Ok, prepare for take off." said Wikia

The pilots didn't respond, they did start the shuttle's impulse engines. The shuttle began to rumble. Then the gates opened, and the shuttle lifted off from the shuttle docking area and headed into space. After a few minutes, the pilots adjusted the controls, and the shuttle was heading to Nova Reginix.

"Most of your humans confined to a world. It's...Laughable, really. Mankind walks the stars. Across countless worlds, mankind is glorious and unfettered, yet you would have me believe that here cower most of the humans in your Empire?

It is not the place of humanity in these stars to be confined and bound by the wills and desires of lesser beings and races."

"We have plenty of humans outside the planet, spread over forty planets that we have colonized." said Wikia,"Want anything to drink?"

As they approached the planet, they could clearly see the massive beautiful oceans that covered half the planet's surface. The land was nearly covered in cities, shipping yards, spaceports.

The great Changer of Ways favors us in the finding of you Captain, the Gods grant us this opportunity to educate our brethern.

So good to meet humans, our brothers spread amongst the stars. A welcome sight amongst the threat of Xenos taint and heresy." He smiled broadly. "There is truly much that we can learn from each other, if you but open your heart and minds."

The shuttle was now approaching the Renter military spaceport. Renter was the largest spaceport on the planet, and as the shuttle went through the atmosphere, they would see hundreds of shuttles taking off and landing.

"All passengers please return to your seats. We are about to land." said a robot droid entering the room.

The landing was bumpy, but finally the shuttle halted.

The Astartes stand resolute, not phased by this bumpy landing. They've endured worse under the cleaning fire of war, deployed under enemy fire to render swift judgement to foes across countless worlds and endless conflict. Ecanus smiled as he gazed out at this world, undeniably impressive but ultimately a poor shadow of Chronosian glory.

They had built countless worlds up from the ground and offered them enlightenment, razing those who refused into ashes. They had tasted hot flesh and blood across the galaxy and beyond, baptised in the blood of millions and the suffering of thousands. They were annointed by the oil of combat, warriors who had fought the Long War to establish the rule of Chaos, the War which held that all must bend knee before the true Gods or be annihilated.

It was the pursuit of this goal and the hatred of the Coredian blood-foe which had brought Ecanus here, to this unexpected entertainment.

Wikia got up from his seat and opened the hatch, the morning sunlight hit the inside of the shuttle. Outside, there was a group of Black Guards and former senators there waiting for greet the delegates. Nearby, a frigate was parked on the ground and was ongoing repairs.

Wikia led the delegates down the steps and toward the small group.

Ecanus continued to look down upon those gathered with his almost smug sense of superiority, a smile splitting his features. He has seen mankind spread across the length and breadth of the galaxy, fought alien filth in the worlds that glimmer, jewel-like in the darkness, and still it amazes him that so many can be led astray.

They talk and they prattle of unity and brotherhood, they tolerate the alien and the heretic and find themselves corroded by foreign ideals and concepts, they debase themselves, become less than human. The Gods have their path for all men, for all life, but it is Mankind who are their favored instruments.

And none more so than the hallowed sons of glorious Chronosia. Ecanus smiles, broader still, his hands clenching into fists, flexing his super-human strength and dexterity.

"Hail and well met. I am Dark Apostle Ecanus, son of Gabriel, Bearer of the Word of Chaos, chosen of the divine Emperor Remiel de Drakan, his servant amongst these terrible stars. I bid you greeting."

The group of senators nodded. Some of them were aliens, like Senator Glux who looked a little frightened and looked around for any Black Guards.

"We are the welcoming committee, sent by the President Emperor himself." said one of the human senators.

Surrounding the shuttle was the bright sunlight from one of Nova Reginix's suns. Nothing but an endless stream of buildings were around.

Ecanus brought his fist against his breastplate with an almighty clang, saluting these unworthy delegates before him with traditional Chronosian might and brutality. Simpering Xenos breeds and inferior men cowered before him, the stink of their fear ripe and rich. He smiled, a grin splitting his features with what seemed to be well-meant cruelty.

"Then I am truly honored to receieve your humble welcome and to greet you in the name of my Emperor and my Gods, as you greet me with the seal of your authority."

"So, where do you take us now? We have dallied and been shuffled for so long that I've grown forgetful of our true goal." He raised a hand to his lips, coughing lightly. There had been no tickle in his throat, merely the need to vent small annoyances.

"Well," said Wikia a little nervously,"We're taking you to the capital if you don't mind. The President has confirmed he wants to meet you. Though the meeting is in eight standard hours, we have to go through security and formalities."

As soon as the delegates and Wikia enter, the vehicle started and drove off, it was a very smooth ride. The "streets" seemed very empty and their were only police (http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l236/misfit_2_culture52/star%20wars%20pics/stormtrooper.jpg) watching the street, making sure the capital was calm and quiet. Over the vehicle, hundreds of ships were flying around, engaging in trade, transportation, etc.
