In 1970, the Republic of Greston and their mortal enemies, Kanfales, a fascist nation, started another one of their "famous" wars. Greston needed to stop the rebels and so, under President Jacob Bearnstin's command, they invaded the fascist state. After marching into the nation, the fascist army struck and sparked a bloody battle. Soon there afterward, the war officialy started. After three years of bloody battle and stalemate, a ceasefire in Greston's capital was called. Kanfalean forces withdrew from the city, but the war still raged.

Miroxian dictator Yamvin Kimwad noticed, one day, while reading his paper, that the ceasefire had started. Now Yamvin was in his 12th year of rule, and somewhere around his 6th year, he snapped and became a cruel oppressor. He then ordered that the army invade Greston and help the fascists. Now, the army did not wish to invade their allies in Greston, but dictator's orders are dictator's orders. Lead by Major-General Roland Adams II, who's son, Roland III, would later become dictator, lead the troops into fascits territory. He was to meet with Furher Bellins von Falles.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Empire of Exponent was a crumbling society. The empire was a mess,in war currently, and there were many poor citizens. When Greston cried for international aid, Chancellor Augustus Ivoryclaw saw this as an oppurtunity. Greston offered 10 million dollars to any nation who supplies them with army men, tanks, planes, jets, ect. Exponentan forces soon left and arrived in Greston within no time. Their major general was to meet with President Jacob Bearnstin of Greston.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The East Indies were raging war again. After a cease fire between the Nederlandse Overheid East-Indies and the Republic of Indonesian States, the war ceased. Since the Indonesian states wanted freedoms, they decided to team up with Exponent and help Greston with their war. So, they sent troops, and soon they were in the meeting with Jacob and Exponentan forces.

The rebels, the Overheid, soon made peace with Miroxia and helped them as they arrived with Kanfalean forces, Overheid general and Major (Miroxian) General Roland Adams met with Furher Bellins von Falles.

That is the background of the War of 1973...

Kanfales Waters, Kanfales

May 18, 1973

Major General Roland Adams II and the First Class soldiers were in Kanfalean waters. The sea was calm as the sun was rising. It painted the sky a pinkish-puple-red color. The sea reflected the majestic colors as they anchored. Step one complete. A fleet of Nederlandse Overheid East-Indies ships were right behind Miroxia. They anchored as well as their major general, along with Roland, stepped out of the ships and onto the beach. They were both in a Hummer H1 War Truck. They drove off in the bullet-proof truck with caution. About 2 hous later, they arrived in the Knfales capital. The parked near Bellins office and walked inside.

"Hello," Roland started, "which room is Furher Bellins in?" he said to the clerk.

"Number 408," he responded.

"Roalnd nodded as he and the Overheid general walked up 4 flights of stairs. They soon reached #408 and walked in. "Hello, Furher Bellins, Roland Adams the Second at your service. I am here to help you with your current war."

ooc: sorry for a little godmod. can we just roll with it for now?

Exponent's empire was falling all around it, and support for the government was at its lowest point ever. Sampeng was draining the nations resources, and the loss of many of the external provinces has meant that these resources would be difficult to rebuild. Then, Greston called for aide. The money would certainly be of help to the nearly bankrupt Empire, and soon, Exponential forces were preparing to enter the nation and defend it against the Miroxian threat.

Brigadier General Calidus Darkoak was chosen to lead the 3rd Imperial Expeditionary Force to Greston. Within a few hours, the force was in the air, a massive airbridge of Soviet made aircraft, all heading towards Greston. A message was soon sent to the President of the nation requesting for permission to land, and now, all they had to do was wait.

The Quirinal Palace, Roma
May 19th 1973

Sir, I believe you ought to be aware of this.

Giorgio Napolitano sat on the 4th story veranda overlooking the Gulf of Trevere, dressed in stark white silk pajamas, eating his morning breakfast of grapes and cheese. He was accustomed to gazing out over the lush forestation, so atypical of the rest of Roma, that the Quirinal Palace offered him. He's done it every morning since he, quite literally, moved in, and it remained one of his simplest pleasures. For from here, one could observe the limits of his conquest; the limitations set upon him only by God himself. It was humbling, inspiring, and empowering all at once. Napolitano pitied anyone who had never visited Friuli.
What he was not accustomed to, however, were his government aides disturbing him during his morning breakfast.

You had better pray that this is life-threatening.
Napolitano didn't turn to face his young aide, but he knew the young man had turned an unhealthy shade of white and was probably shaking where he stood.

Well? Get on with it...

The young aide gulped before motioning to the document he grasped so tightly in his hand. A nervous habit.

Sir, the East Indies are again at war. Kanfales has declared war on Greston again. Mr. Berlusconi says it would be wise for you to look into it.

The poor aide had barely taken a breath while he read through the memorized lines he was instructed to say before thrusting the letter to his boss.

Mr. Silvio Berlusconi had been Giorgio Napolitano's Chief military adviser for a decade, before he was forced to retire after developing leukemia. Rumor had it that he had been residing in Augusta since his retirement. Berlusconi was not a well-liked man, and without the protection guaranteed by being a member of Napolitano's Cabinet, the man had been forced into hiding for risk of assassination. Not even Napolitano knew where Berlusconi reside now, but they were often in touch, and Berlusconi often threw his 2 cents into affairs of Napolitano's interest. If Berlusconi said it was worth looking into, then it was certainly worth looking into.

Napolitano stood and faced the aide frontally; Napolitano towered over the young man by at least 6 inches, and the intimidation was aided by the fact that a simple whistle could end the young interne's life.

Giovanni, this is not life-threatening.
Napolitano took the letter from the young man, who stood quivering.
You are to exit this room and immediately turn left. Your parents will be waiting for you down the hall, where you will receive your punishment.

"Parents" were a nickname for the enforcement team that resided at the Quirinal Palace. Due to Napolitano's strange rules of the residence, the need for such an enforcement body was necessary to ensure those rules were followed. Anyone who broke the rules were sent to their "parents", where they would be beaten as punishment.

As the young man left, in tears, Napolitano surveyed the letter.

Sngr Napolitano,

As I am sure you are well aware by now, the East Indies are in shambles, yet again. It seems the Fascists are hell-bent on destroying Greston this time. To be frank, sir, now would be an opportune time for Friuli to assert itself on the world stage. You are a powerful nation now, it is time the world saw that.
Godspeed, My Lord.
