Television camera's from nations around the world watched, as throngs of people pushed at the police standing between them, and the platform where the Director was going to deliver his address. The capital had been abuzz with activity all day in preparation for the Director's address. In front of him stood 5,000 soldiers, in full dress uniform, they're rifles in they're hands. The crowds began cheering as the Director walked up the stairs onto the platform. He stood in front of a microphone, and placed his hands in the air. At once the crowds became silent. For a few seconds the only sound was that of the wind, and the water in the nearby river. Then the Director began his address.

"As your Director speaks, so shall you listen," the Director said into the microphone. "The Lord smiles down us, as we smile up at him. The Director is pleased with the progress of the Site. Your hard work is appreciated, and as such, the Director has seen fit to grant all of you two extra rations of whiskey for the next week." The crowd again cheer. The Director let them enjoy they're moment, before he again out his hands up, and they returned to they're silence. "The Director would also like to commend the farmers, as this years yields are up 10% from last season. As such, all rations of farm products are being increased by 5%. The Director is very pleased with most of your work, but some, the Director is not so pleased with." 10 men are lead up onto the platform. They are naked, and shackled together at the ankle. They ranged in age from 15 to 84. "These men have neglected they're responsibilities. They have repeatedly failed to show up for work detail." The crowd let out a gasp, followed by booing, and jeering at the men now on the platform. Just as people began throwing debris at the men, the Director raised his hands, and they stopped, and became silent. "While these men have placed they're personal gain first, and showed utter disregard for the greater good, the Director has decided to show his mercy, and therefore, the Director shall kill them quickly, and with less pain than normal. Then they shall be with the Lord, and he shall accept them into his heart, forgiving them of they're sins, as the Lord is also merciful." He pulled his revolver from it's holster, and started at on end of the line, and fired on round into each mans head, at point blank range, to the right temple. When he was finished, soldiers came, and dragged the bodies away. "The Director has emulated the Lord, with his show of mercy. The traitors have been dealt with swiftly, fairly, and mercifully, before they could cause harm to the society as a whole. Remember, we all must do our duties for the greater good. All that matters is the greater good. The greater good must be preserved. So says the Director, so you have heard." The Director clapped his hands together, and walked off of the podium. The crowds broke into a chant, "Greater Good! Greater Good!"

Moments later...

The Director arrived in a small briefing room, where reporters from the television stations that had just covered the speech, waited ask questions of the Director. The Director walked up to the small podium, and said, "The Director has arrived, and will now take your questions."

"Sir? I'm from the ASD Times and we would like to know what kind of due process went into this conviction?"

If any bulbasaurs or squirtles from Kriegorgrad are mistreated like your citizens have been during their stay in Kelnoriem, the 28th Blastoise Division will leave your cities smouldering ruins.

That is all.

"Sir!" the Questarian Ambassador shouted above the crowds, telling various reporters to "shut up."

"Sir, I would like your assurances that no Questarian citizens will be given the death penalty in your nation, but instead deported to our country to receive the just punishment for their crime?"

Ambassador Onix (http://www.happychild.org.uk/Webimage/onix.jpg) rose out of the crowd, his serpentine stone form standing out, and he let out a clear, punchy statement in the form of a roar that told the Director what he thought, his concerns, and what he expected to be done in the case of mistreatment of Kriegos citizens.

"ONIX!!"

"Sir? I'm from the ASD Times and we would like to know what kind of due process went into this conviction?"

"They failed to sign into the work logs, therefore they were not at work, therefore they endangered the entire nation with they're laziness, therefore they were given the punishment for they're treasonous crimes, death. The Director did show mercy though, a single bullet to the head. Death almost instantaneous," the Director said in response to the reporter from the Times.

"The Director would never allow the harming of any foreign citizens. If a crime is committed, they will be deported to they're country of origin, where the Director would expect them to be dealt with accordingly. The Director understands that there are cultural differences, and that what might be right for you, may not be right for some," the Director replied to the Questarian Ambassador.

Meanwhile in orbit an FMA satellite picked up the broadcasts from Kelnoriem. The satellite did as programmed and send this signal back to an INTEL center where all the data picked up would be processed.

Two INTEL agents near the bottom of the chain of command were looking through the transmissions nonstop. It was boring work, yet something slackers loved to do since they usually picked up television, the news and other media.

Agent 1: Here's number 449.

Agent 2: Damn! Not a single show was picked up today...*clicks the play button*

(minutes later)

Agent 2: GOOD GOD! *picks up phone* Commander, I beleive the FMA needs to see this.
