When the Revelation arrived, Perius ordered it to head towards DS9 to look over the repairs. More so because he wanted to check to see if the Cardassians were trustworthy.

But they got much more interesting news, apparently they had found maturation chambers in the station. This was disturbing, but when they found out they were all Bajoran the Admiral was very worried.

"I think Cameron told be once that Infant Borg are harder to switch back, they tried multiple times during the war to raid these chambers in hope of damaging Borg numbers. But he said when he babies were brought to him in sickbay he had no way of removing the implants unless the baby was assimilated and not grown. Otherwise the implants are much more integrated into it's biological chemistry"

"You cannot just kill them!" Jessica was taking a typical emotional plea, it was a hard call to make.

"We will see, I am amazed they are still alive considering the damage. But some Borg ships can still operate with 70-80% damage to it's systems"

"So what now Admiral?"

"We are staying here, we are still waiting for Red Borg activity and a few pickups from Klingon Space have also got our attention. In this modern climate even the dam Ferengi could be a threat"

Jessica laughs "like that would ever happen"

Smithers had done a wonderful job of poo-pooing all of the Anamarnian innovations, even as he took careful note of every one that he or Gail--they were using small gestural cues to communicate unobserved--managed to notice. It was all going very well. She appeared to be so egotistical that she was blind to anything that the Anamarnians had to offer, and he appeared to be so caught up in her every gesture that it never even occurred to him to think otherwise.

This, of course, had been all fine and well until they got to the ship's engineering section...and her mouth just sort of started to hang open...and Smithers looked at her, with his mouth hanging open, too. They both had some engineering background, and knew something that was years ahead of their technology when they saw it...and now, they were seeing it.

And, as she looked around her, this time, all she could think to say was, "It all looks...very nice."

Santiago smiled to herself; at first she had tried to put the dismissive nature of her guests as simple posturing or at being like fish out of water but as the dismisivness had become more egotistical even she couldn’t hand wave it as simply ‘younglings’ as the elders called it. The younger races always thought they were the biggest and best but there were terrors in the universe they had no idea about and with luck never wound in there life times. Still this human seemed to go beyond the usual arrogance as if the meeting wasn’t really worth there time. Captain Santiago really couldn’t fathom why the Tri-council had decided that these…Heshkash were worth there time quite obviously the feeling wasn’t mutual heck several times Santiago was tempted to just kick them off the damn ship and head home and not contact them again for a few hundred years; when they’ve grown as a species. She did take some small satisfaction though in the jaw dropping reaction as they entered Main Engineering even a species as egotistical as this certainly had to be impressed. After all the structure of the reactors went up at least three decks and down one too before branching out into the power distribution system.

“Thank you; our people do not really like anti-matter for power generation” she said simply; “We think of it almost like building a town around a live bomb therefor we only use anti-matter in weaponry” she said simply; “Do you have any questions?” she offered.

Federation Starbase 632, Deep across the Federation/Klingon Border

Kron stood in the in the last of the massive maintenance bay and looked across the floor, nothing. After spending eight hours on this forsaken starbase nothing was here. The Remen cloaking device that had been used on the Scimitar was not in any of the stations maintenance bays. He had known this was a futile mission, and it had been. They would return with nothing. Kron thought, I hope we get into a battle on the way home, because this is a load of targ crap. "Kron to Xaing, nothing we didn't find anything."

"Kron, we have went through the computer logs that we have retrieved from the station, see if you can look into the starship bay and see if there is a ship."

Kron walked up to a ladder leading from the maintenance bay to a lab. From there he walked down the hall to a large observation workstation, and peered out into the large starship bay. He saw a large frame with what looked like a warp core and warp engines attached, and very little small command pod with something connected to the back of it. Not much of a ship if you asked him. "Sir, there is some sort of vessel here, but nothing I have seen in the way of Federation ships."

"Something like a command pod, a warp core and engines with a block on the back?"

"Yes, how'd you know."

"Cause thats it. They were testing the cloak before mounting it on a starship. No use in building a ship large enough to house the device if they can't get it to work. See if you can transport over to it, and see if it's still operational."

"Understood, Kron out." Though the much of the Klingon technology had stayed the same since the beginning of the Borg war, they had picked up a few new things. Kron and his team pulled out their transporter devices and beamed over. These devices did not do the transporting but were linked to the ships transporter and used it for site to site transports. He stepped up to a panel and touched it but it locked him out. "Kron to Rotarren, I need you to send Tanas over to crack the computer core." Within a few hours the core was cracked and they had access to the ship. The cloaked the ship and exited the station through a gapping hole they created by using their disruptors on the birds of prey, and headed back to Qo'noS.

It had been a lot of hard work and sleepless night for Zak and his siblings getting the Space station into a working condition again. Many other Ferengi had already started to show interest in setting up shop there.

They had already had the main features of the station laid out, a large function room that would easily hold hundreds of people. The multi-purpose room room would have a bar, it could be set up for a dance party, a wedding, a diplomatic conference basically anything that it was to be needed for the room could be made into.

There were to be retail shops galore in the main esplanade. With Accommodations available for nightly, weekly or monthly rates. There would be refuelling and repair facilities available, all for a cost of course.

Now all that remain would be organising security for the station. There is after all so much a Ferengi can do, and really no one would take Ferengi security seriously. That meant finding others to take the role but who, who would be neutral enough? That was a question that for once Zak didn'r know. Using his contacts Zak spread the word about the position and the people he was looking for.

All he could do now was wait until someone contacted him, hopefully it wouldn't be long.

"Well...yeah," Gail said. She looked left, then right, and moved right up next to Captain Santiago. "Where'd ya get this ship from, Captain? It looks surprisingly like one of ours..."

"Ummm, sir," Smithers said, eyes still carefully averted and focused on his PDD, "begging the Negotiator's pardon, but--."

"OUT WITH IT, SMITHERS!!!!!"

"Ummm, yes, sir. Ummmm, do you wish to inform them that it is Federation policy to confiscate--."

"I'LL GET TO THAT WHEN THE TIME IS RIGHT!"

"Umm, yes, sir."

"IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE THAT YOU'D LIKE TO INTERRUPT THIS CONTACT MISSION-- MY MISSION--TO SAY?!?!?!"

"Ummm, no, sir."

"Good. Now, as I was saying, how did your people chance upon a ship of such...specific design?"

Santiago’s brow furrowed slightly at the exchange between the two her eyebrow raising at the word confiscate but would let it slip for now at least; though she was not going to give up any ship without a fight. However if it came to that they’d find the engines were not the only thing entirely upgraded decades beyond anything star fleet could compete with; but she wasn’t going to start a war at least not yet.

“Honestly” she said with a shrug of her shoulders pretending that she hadn’t heard the exchange; “that kind of thing is way above what I’m paid to think about; Commander Farion could give you more information on the ships history than me. But from what I understand it was salvaged on the outer rim stripped to the bulkheads by the machines. In fact other than the main hull I think the only Federation tech left on this ship is the EMH, A Mark One I think you call them, Replicators and the Deflector Array oh and a few of the fire suppression nodes. Pretty much anything that wasn’t stripped by the machines was stripped by our Engineers”

“You mean usefully insane scientists”, Said a woman in Blue with her legs dangling out of the bottom of an engineering station as she fiddled with something; “Bloody Quantum Chips; four times the computing power; then times the trouble” she said as the broken console turned back on and flashing a boot message on its holoscreen.

Gail laughed heartily. She looked over at Captain Santiago. "Ohhhhhh," she said at length, "please pardon the ruse. Back on Tellar, my home world, we have a saying: before we enjoy, we annoy."

"Umm, sir, do you think it's wise--?" Smithers began.

"You can drop the act, Smithers," Gail said. "They've come through with flying colors."

"Excellent," said Smithers--and then he did two things for the first time since he'd walked onto the ship: he lowered his PDA, and he smiled an easy-going smile.

"Unless you feel otherwise."

"Actually," Smithers said, "I quite concur."

"You handled my rude, arrogant facade like a pro, Captain. I'm glad that Animarnia has people as level-headed as you calling the shots.

"Now, how can we help a civilized race such as yours?"
Animarnia

Santiago "Tellar?" she asked curiously "Your not from Terra?" she asked; she had never heard of a Tellar of course the archives were far from complete; after losing Alexandria in the Machine War; it could be a human Coloney they didn't know about; they were certainly common before the war or so the few cloaked scouts that had left there space in the last century to monitor the galaxy; Santiago had just assumed that either the Archives were wrong or that the machine war had been much harder on the Earthers evolution than the records told she was of course far to much of a profesional to mention it.

"as for your...policy I can imagine that may get you shot at a lot" she said with a rheysmile; "Our mission here; my people want to renew contact with the powers of this galaxy; and my superiors view the Federation as the best choice for that to happen; further from that I'm really not sure, I was given...a very broad mandate" she said with a sigh; Soldiers did not like having too many options; "What usually happens after first contact meetings with your people?" she asked a little unsure of herself; give her an enemy to kill or something to fire at and she was happy; give her a room full of diplomats though and it was like dropping a fish out of water.

Gail smiled. "Oh captain, my captain," she said, "this is the federation. Tellar, like Terra, was one of the original 20 worlds, but I'm a totally different species, and so is Smithers. So, let me put it this way: if you wanted to contact the powers of the galaxy, would it do to deal only with humans? If not, maybe my being here is a sign that you've come to the right place after all."
Animarnia
30-01-2009, 20:59
Santiago laughed; "I'm sorry about that; I was going by our archives and they said that Terra was the home of humans; We are more than happy to negotiate with your people as part of the Federation we meant no offence" she said with a smile and a nod; "We know of his species, our people watched them for some time; they are a very industrious people Cardassians; though I have to say Smithers isn't a very Cardasian name is it?" she she curiously.

she smiled and picked up a transparent peice of flexable paperthin device; "consider this a gift from our people to yours; this technology is what we use as PADD's" she said handing it to Gail.

"I don't live there, I work there.

"This calls for a toast," Gail said. "Smithers, the Tranya."

"Hundreds of years ago," Smithers said, "a human starship captain came upon a race, lilliputian in size but gargantuan in intellect. Before they enjoyed, they annoyed. They almost took his ship hostage on him. Like you, he held his temper--and, like you, he was rewarded. Thus began the relationship with our allies, the First Federation. It was sealed with a toast of this beverage, Tranya."

Smithers removed several vials of a pinkish fluid from inside of his PDA. "And don't worry about my name. We Cardassians have lots of them."

"To be honest, we need a friend," Captain Gail said. "As you are no doubt aware, a group of semi-friendlies has recently attempted to bestow their way of life upon us all, but didn't succeed. We are rebuilding, and were, in fact, strong enough to fend off an incursion from a determined foe, but we need to get our supply lines back up and running. We only have rudimentary contact with some of those major powers you wished to speak with--Tellar, Andoria, Beta Zed--and have arrived on Vulcan to find them needing our help. The Romulans have been hurt badly and are regrouping. We're not even sure if they're going to turn rogue. We need to make direct contact with our allies, and we need to get them back on their feet, as they need it, as fast as possible.

"What does Animarnia need?"
Animarnia
06-02-2009, 05:24
Santiago nodded and it was as she had fear the Federation were in complete disaray trying to put on a brave face for diplomatic purposes but the machine wars had hurt them as much as her own people.

"We need; Energy and you may find that amusing considering the output of these reactors but they do not produce near enough for our needs; though some of our cities still stand from the machine wars; most our industrial capacity was anhiolated along with 90% of our technology; our world is now mostly barron desert with the few cities that remain protected from the harsh elements by large scale energy shields but the power requirements for such are imense and as such most of the energy our reactors create is used to maintain them at levels where the surface dwellers are safe; though this precludes us from running our industrial fabricators at full capacity which means we cannot produce enough raw matiriels to create more fabricators and expand surface dwellings in the cities since many of our population still lives underground; because there is not enough space or power to provide them amenities" she said with a sigh; "Tellus, Dranus and Alexandria all of them technological and Industral power houses in there own right were completely laid waste to by the machines; the fires of Dranus still burn the surface"

"We need energy modules; raw matirials and Terraforming aids, to start rebuilding our home world" she said with anothe sigh; Animarnians were prideful people; they did not like going to the begging bowl; "You may have also noticed a...discrepency in the Female to male ratio in our crew, most of our men were either slaughtered or assimulated by the machines during the war" she said.

"we realise this is a lot to ask for a people you hardly know however; we are willing to offer you something in return" she said with a nod. "The Animarnian Tri-council is willing to provide the Federation with two thirds of its fleet on Loan, with Joint Starfleet Animarnian crews though with Animarnian Officers who will also provide 'on the job' training to your own officers with our systems."

"In real terms equating to around thirty vessels of various classes; most are what you would have called Defiant, Akira and Miranda class vessels but have been fitted to be of superior par than there original parts including upgrades to weapons, shields, engine systems and power generation than anything you can currently field," there was a pregnent pause as she let this sink in

"we are also willing to supply you with our archway technology" she said; "my engineer will brief you on the specifics if you agree, Animarnian Officers will follow Federation commands for as long as this agreement is in place"

Dastardly Stench;14435042']Ramirez' comm badge beeped three times. He pulled a hand held personal data device out of his belt. He glanced down at it, then at Zahn.

"You'd better see this," he said. The words on the device were, "NEW BORG FOUND NOT GUILTY ON GAAL HOMEWORLD."

Zahn raised an eyebrow. The timing was certainly... incoveniant. But it might prove advantageous.

"This will help defuse tensions. If the Gaal had openly opposed the Borg, their would have been a strong contingent in our government advocating an alliance with them against both the Borg and the Federation.

I hope you understand now the gravity of the political situation. Their is a strong contingent that is against the Federation, and it will be nessissary to make certain concessions."

"Now, you have another political problem: what are you going to do when they ask you to repatriate Romulans who were absorbed? They have asked to do similarly on Earth and on Vulcan. We don't know if they're trying to infiltrate us. We urge that you act with caution, for your own sakes.

"Obviously their are political and security issues that must be dealt with when it comes to repatriation of assimalated Romulans. I must consult with my superiors, but it is likely that we will discuss this matter again before long."

"As for Vulcan's declaration, I feel that your victory will be all the more sweet if it is the Vulcans themselves, rather than the Federation, who make it, and, thus, I defer to them. I'm certain that they will find it only logical to confirm a core value of the Federation.

"As far as concerns the declaration of Vulcan's right to self-determination, it is unfortunately a political nessicesity that the Federation make the declaration. This will affirm the Federation's willingness to make this concession, and be regarded as a gesture of political good will."

"As to your repatriation request, consider it done. We can have our people work out the details.

"I am glad to see that repatriation is a matter we can agree upon. We will begin drawing up lists of names of citizens who may be in Federation space, and ask that you do the same. Please provide any pertinent data that will help us identify our people, or your's. Of course, some security measures will be nessissary, as well as screening for diseases."

"As to your request for recognition, I do not have authority in that case. It is a matter for the Federation Council, which I am sure will look into it shortly after we can reestablish a quorum.

"Finally, as to sharing technology and strategic information, we're always willing to talk."

"Which leaves the matters of your recognition, and of course tech and intelligence exchanges. It is the Governor's stance that we should engage in some discrete exchanges of intelligence and technology, in order to better protect against incursions from the Borg or Terrans. Particularily, any data you can give us on the New Borg would be welcome. In return, we can offer you certain information on the Terran Empire, among other subjects. We believe that it will expedite this exchange if the Federation Council recognizes our government as soon as possible, and we trust that they will recognize us as the legitimate successor to the Romulan Empire, and Governor Vranik as our legitimate head of state.

I wish to thank you for the courtesy which you have show, and your efforts at diplomacy in these trying times. If their is anything else you wish to discuss at this time, I would be happy to do so. If not, I will confer with my superiors, and order my aid to write up a list of Federation citizens in Romulan space, as well as one of Romulan citizens who may be in your territory. Also, the exact nature and timing of the declaration of self-determination must be discussed. When the Federation has drawn up a declaration, I would appreciate it if you would submit it to me for review, and of course the Vulcans should have an opportunity to review it.

In the meantime, perhaps we could take advantage of Vulcan's hospitality? I understand that Romulan Ale is contraband in the Federation, but surely your superiors would forgive one infraction in the name of diplomacy."

IC:

The wine glass was thin and translucent blue, with a large base. It served to improve its balance in the heavy-gravity environment in which it stood, and also to make it easier for "weakling offworlders" like Ramirez to hold. By all accounts, the meeting had gone well for both sides. The Romulans had been strangely cooperative. It gave Ramirez hope that his end of the galaxy could have a little peace for a while.

The news about the New Borg had been particularly exciting. Ramirez had expected a show trial, but the Gaal had actually put forth an honest effort. This could have other repercussions as well--other races, hearing about the trial, might be more willing to accept this strange new race--and this again increased the prospects for peace.

Now, the hard work could begin. That would be getting together something vaguely reminiscent of the Federation Council. Though the rebuilding continued--and the impending arrival of Hollow World back in Terra System promised to speed things up immensely--Earth was still short on the kind of ships that it would need to make contact with other Federation member worlds. Ramirez counted it as good news that Enterprise would be returning to Vulcan. This would also make things easier.

But the bottom line still remained that, until the Council could be reformed, all Ramirez could do would be to make promises that he had no idea whether or not he could really keep. Getting the metagovernment up and running again was of the utmost importance.

It was with these thoughts running through his head that Ramirez smiled at Zahn and took a sip of the beverage in his glass.

It seemed odd to Ramirez the way that Zahn kept saying that the Federation would have to make concessions when he wasn't asking for anything unreasonable.

He could also understand Zahn's wariness of the New Borg. He was wary, too--but he'd sat in a negotiating session with one of them and, aside of having an obstreperous streak a mile wide, the man had actually been rather well-behaved.

This was starting to seem a little too easy. Ramirez hoped that his gut was lying to him.

A small vessel coasted at warp speed near the edges of the old Klingon Empire. The cloaked Warbird was an obsolete design a century old, its cloak almost irrelevant, but it was the best the fleet could muster at such short notice. Fortunately, Gail knew a lot about the supply end. As a Diplomatic Liason, she had been involved in the supply transfers after the Borg were defeated, when they were starting to get the industry up and running--and she knew about something that could come in very handy right now. And she also had the Tellarites' vaunted taste for barter.

"I think I can do something for you," she said. "Smithers, show this good lady the little present that we got from our friends on Sigma Draconis VI."*

Smithers blinked. "Of course!" he said. He punched in a combination on his PDA, then brought it over to Santiago. On it was a picture of a small device with the caption, "Ion Fuel Cell."

"Sigma Draconis VI went into an ice age a few thousand years back. They had to find ways to keep warm. This was one of them. They're a Federation protectorate, so we managed to swing a deal or two with them here and there. We got a shipment of a hundred of these things just before the Borg struck, and the little devils never got their hands on 'em. They're unstable in a warp bubble, so you can't use them on starships, but, on a planet, they're golden--and the tech boys tell me that it's easy to reverse engineer them and make bigger ones. How's that for a start?"

Santiago looked it over before handing it to the Engineer beside her who had been under the console; the woman no older than 30 with obvious cyber implants in her neck and temple as well as a few on her arm and wrist eyed the schematics carefully. "Interesting..." she said; "looks kind of simular to how we used to build Zero Point reactors...of course...that technology is gone now; still this should be enough to providie enough to run industrial Fabricators" she said with a nod.

"Captain, I just said I had a hundred of them sitting in a warehouse. We're talking in your cargo bays by this time tomorrow--as the planet under us turns. As to more, from what I've seen here, you can fabricate them just as easily as we can.

"Now, what was the next item on the list? Smithers?"

"Umm, terraforming, sir."

"Hmmm...that's going to be a little tougher. The Borg didn't really get the chance to mess with our environment, so we didn't really invest in repairing it. You know the old Tellarite saying: if it's not broken, don't fix it. Hmmmmm...Smithers, what about that water treatment experiment at UC Berkeley? They're not using it right now."

"Well...if you're going to do that, why not go with Professor Sarafin's gas transfer pods?"

"Actually, that sounds good. Show the Captain."

Smithers punched in another combination, and a new picture came up.

"It's a compact atmospheric regeneration facility. Now, I admit, one of them won't be much good to you. Give us a week, however, and we can fabricate a thousand of them. For that matter, we can give you the pattern and you can replicate them on the spot where you need them. What's next?"

"Ummmm...they want men, sir."

Gail looked straight at Santiago with an evil grin. "Most girls do. Get your own."

Perius got about 500 crewmen to spare for the trip, these were more of what was left then the best. The Terran Empire's huge military budget and death rate during it's fall had almost completely eradicated it's abundance of Federation Officers.

Devenis lost allot of men during the fall of the Terran Empire, they were either killed or captured. I can find about 500 Crewmen that we do not need right now but that is about it, We have had possible Communications with Andoria for awhile and were simply waiting the OK to make contact.

Andoria I think would be best due it's proud military tradition that would boast the numbers of starfleet and plus they are natural enemies of the Romulans leaving it open to us only.

What is the situation on Vulcan? I have heard the Romulans are trying to force you to give it 'Independence' without a fight, but as we both know they simply want it void of Federation control and thus open to conquest without the Political backlash.

We can talk about this further when I arrive at Earth.

"Quite frankly, Krusi, I don't understand it. All they wanted was for us to say that Vulcan has the right to self-determination. Well--that's written into the Federation Charter. If they want to leave, they can leave, just like anyone else. Mind you, we won't look kindly on neo-Romulan plants stirring up trouble down here, but these people have been through a lot, and we'll abide any decision that they make--if it's not forced."

Ramirez looked at Perius' image on the screen in front of him. With Scottie back on earth, and Nuremberg patrolling the sector, he was starting to get a little lonely for someone with actual command experience.

The ship arrived and Perius transports to Starfleet HQ in Sans Francisco, he enters the building to find it much more active as before. The Federation was pulling itself together after all and hopefully these men he brought with him would be able to help them.

He approached the Receptionist to tell Ramirez that he had arrived, it was actually more happy then before to be back on Earth. Before he was tense and unsure about what was going to happen, this time he knew he was with friends and allies.

"ah; I thought you were speaking figuritivly rather than litterally" she said with a smile "We'll take as many as you can give us" she nodded' "I'm assuming that we have a deal then?, if so I will contact my superiors imediately to make arangements for ships to route to this sector of space; it will take around 2 weeks for them to arrive in full; with a complete compliment of crew, air wing and Marine Detachment" she said; having been brief on the time table. "Alternativly we can send word and order ships direct to systems of interest, however you may wish to pick up starfleet crewmen so the choice is yours" she stated leading them through the ships bowls once again til they reached the advanced Command Deck that looked like it was hugely more advanced than even a Soverign with its holographic displays and futuristic looking chairs, Cynthia the ships AI hologram phased onto existance.

"Captain on the bridge" said the dark haired beauty wearing a red bodysuit uniform that left very little to the imagination.

"SITREP" Santiago ordered.

"Captain, All my systems are functioning within desired parameters, Engines and Fade Vail are on standby; Reactor output is nominal; Sensors report a ship from the outer system has arrived and taken standard Earth orbit"

"Yes, I think it's a deal," Gail said. Then she looked at the hologram, and it was all that she could do not to burst out laughing. "I...uhhh...take it that, before the Borg attack, most of your ship's personnel were male." Behind her, Smithers suppressed a smirk. He was also a little jealous. There was something about Gail that no one could quite completely understand. He could never have gotten away with saying something like that.

--------------------------

Gail was as good as her word. Within 24 hours, a hundred Ion Fuel Cells were safely within Santiago's cargo hold, along with replicator patterns for the Gas Transfer Pods.

In two more days, Hollow World and Enterprise arrived back from the Gaal home world. As they did, Communications Central picked up some rather unusual conversation between the two.

"...well, we're here now, and you know what that means--in a couple of hours, I'll be kicking your Borg butt all over the galaxy again!" This was Scotty's voice.

"Famous last words, Feddie," came the reply. This was the voice of High Council Member Ver.

Later, it came out: they had taken to playing chess. Of course, half the planet had gone on standby alert by then, but what's a little posturing among friends?

Santiago raised an eyebrow and did laugh out loud nodded; "yes; mostly; things change" she smiled; as the new ion cells arried true to her word the Animarnian ships started arriving in Sol; first with three Dominator Class ships (uprated Defiants) as they were the fastest ships currently in the fleet due to there size to power ratios; several more would arrive over the next day or so with up to 12 in system by the end of the week; the Slaughter Class (Former Akiras) would arrive soon after that being fairly slower than the Dominators but carrying a much heavier weapons compliment following them by the end of the month would be the Odessey Class (Former Miranda) as the slowest of the three types they were lending the use of; overall within the month they had 15 Dominators, 10 Slaughters and 5 Odessey's to work with; the Animarnians themselves seemed to enjoy getting aquainted with Earth; as a planet fully embracing the Earthern culture especially the small nation of Ireland; who seemed to have a never ending supply of alcohol on the homeworld things were also looking up with the Fabricators finnally at full power the cities started to expand outwards with more survivors moving to the surface settlements and the Gas capascitors worked tirelessly to limit the sand storms as they slowly started to reverse the enriomental damage still; even with best estimates it would take decades to full repair the planet.

(OOC: sorry I haven't been posting. I hate to keep making excuses, and I should be posting more, but my university went on strike so I'm in exam season right now. Won't have much time until the end of the month, though hopefully I'll get a post or two up before then).
