OOC: How about a little war? Open to suggestions!

This thread is entirely OOC. Now that that's out of the way:
I was thinking: I want to do an actual war. Not a mass dogpile. And no WMD's. They make things no fun. In short, not a mismatch that turns into a "but I nuke first ZOMG!!!!" type affair. Something mostly tactical, rather than mainly character driven.
It could be over something stupid, (territory, you insulted my mother, etc). And I'd prefer that it be a fair fight (roughly same size, if nothing else, to me).

I like it. You could always declare that everyone ahs roughly equal forces to prevent the huge players from coming in and say that their tactic is massed attack with their 100 million man army.

While I'm happy about your willingness...there's the issue that my population is well over 2x bigger than yours, and my defense spending is about $7 trillion USD higher than yours...I'm worried it wouldn't really be a fair fight for you. If you'd like to get a few more people on your side, that would be fine.
I'll help them. But I seem to be caught up with another RP. I can give a small amount, maybe 150,000. You should have it over some random island that neither of you own so that it can be truly fair.

I have no problem with taking you on by my lonesome. I have fought nations much larger then yourself. But if you insist....

True, dat. Wouldn't want that sort of thing to happen.

That amont of participation is fine, if you'd like to and if its OK with Hobbeebia.

Its perfectly fine if you want to do it on your own. I just wanted to make sure you were aware of the imbalance. Greston sounds like he wants to join in, if you're all right with that.

I could fight you on an imaginary island with a bunch of rabble. That could be fun. Say, your some 1 million professional troops against my 4 million KGB [police] forces. It would be interesting...
Mu Cephei

While I am no where near done with the concept yet, but still... I would like to propose the joining of a Private Military Contractor known as Mu Cephei International in this rp.
It, like all PMCs, would be on a defensive stance (passive-aggressiveness if you will) and will do several jobs for the client state like enhanced training for personnel of all experience levels, professional management teams to advise clients with their years of experiences on the field and behind the desk, top-notch manufacturing and production capabilities to provide clients with the best equipment possible in the shortest amount of time possible, and MUCEIN offers highly trained professionals in many fields to complete the jobs handed to MUCEIN by clients (private security, convoy escort, reconnaissance, patrol, mine sweeping, logistical support, base security, etc).
Here is the website for the PMC. It is uncompleted and is based off of the Blackwater website so the two are similar in appearance. Linky (http://www.freewebs.com/mucein/).
If you have any questions you can contact me through, MUCEIN@aim.com, TG me through http://www.nationstates.net/mu_cephei, and whenever I am on NS I (usually) am on my AIM IM, which is MUCEIN. Don't worry if you use MSN, yahoo, etc. I have Ichat so I can IM with most of said services.
Thank you and good rp'ing. :D

I have no problem with anyone else joining my side...

The problem with wars is that, when someone is losing, it's very hard to stop people from dogpiling on the loser trying to get a shred of the spoils of war. Even if you agree to no dogpiles beforehand, it gets hard to enforce this while maintaining the realism of war.
So, I suggest that both sides pay us a paltry fee, and we'll act as a peacekeeper. This means that, if anyone should jump in on either side that both sides don't agree on in-character, and who wasn't there at the start of the war, I declare war on them. It's not a threat I think we'll actually have to make good on, but it's entirely the type of thing our nation would do, and so I want to try it out if you guys are game. :p

I mean, if you're using your modern-tech nation. It doesn't look very big, it starts losing, outside forces might want a piece of it.

I would like to send around an infantry division to fight an armored division, its part of an anti-armored warfare I've been toying with for a little while and I hope you don't mind if I include it in this RP.

There's an easy way to prevent a last-minute vulture dogpile: have a pre-agreed number of people join in, then, after a certain point, have the thing absolutely closed. Also, simply ban completely changing sides:dropping out of the war would be ok, but joining the other side wouldn't be allowed.
On another note, I will not be committing more than 300,000 men: 1 million troops is completely out of the question, as that would mean using 1/3 of my total army over a small little island.
Some amount of realism needs to exist: it can't be over some small, strategically worthless island, with no resources that can't be procured just as easily through trade: no real(istic) nation in their right mind would EVER do something like that. There needs to be something worth fighting over.
Also, everyone interested post roughly how many troops (with rough quality rating) they would be investing in this, as well as which side they would be on.
This would be in MT.
Mu Cephei

I'm interested, but I would need someone to hire Mu Cephei International first so that I have a reason to deploy. If no one wants to make a contract with me I can rp MUCEIN being hired by a NPC country. I guess the NPC would want to protect it's hold on the islands or protect some people there or something... I would actually prefer to work for (a) player nation(s) since it makes for better rp. It naturally creates realism by forcing myself and the other player(s) to communicate to figure out what is going to happen and when (what their intentions are in the war and what MUCEIN's purpose would be in that plan). Plus having a company that can deploy a large force (MUCEIN has up to 35,500,000 combat personnel divided up between 4 branches) is an added bonus. Of course the operatives have to be attacked in order to defend themselves and I can only deploy a few brigades, but still...
So, anyone wants to form a binding contract? All you need is a basic idea of what you would want MUCEIN to do for you. Check out my post on the first page to see what the company can do for you.
Also, is some PMT okay? I'm not talking lasers or anything. Just some advance gear that I haven't gotten around making stats for yet, but should have up soon.
