Intro

During Dashie's first war with its neighbor, a truck was needed that would maneuver through urban environments quickly at the lowest cost. The Dashie army, using the Stryker and Humvee vehicles, were susceptible to anti-vehicle rocket fire, and could not maneuver well in clogged/tight urban environments. This lead to the deaths of many Dashie soldiers. Therefore, a conventional vehicle was developed. One that could cruise the streets and allow its occupant the freedom to move his turret at 360 degrees. Furthermore, it was requested that the firepower of the conventional humvee, a .50 caliber machine gun, was needed to compete in the modern urban combat world. Therefore, the Viking was developed by the Dashie government out of demand of Dashie generals, and has been in use ever since.

The Gun

Every Viking Technical is fitted with a .50 caliber XBA machine gun. The XBA .50 cal was especially designed to be fired from vehicles. The machine gun is loaded onto a special 360 degree pole (not a tripod). This pole is made out of hardened steel, and will not break from strain or recoil. Therefore, the gunman can rotate quickly to various positions to fire on targets. Note that in the picture, the weapon is forward. This is the standard position, but the gun can be moved to 3 different ports on the bed of the truck - frontal, middle, and back. This is for the preference of the gunman. The XBA has a very modern design, and has been specially crafted to not retain heat. It includes a special water cooling system. The XBA's range-finger scope is essentially an ACOG-like scope that ranges up to 1000 meters. Therefore, it can also double as an anti-sniper / sniper device. The XBA's hardened surface is also highly resistant to bullets and jams, so soldiers should be confident that they will never be left as lame ducks in the heat of battle. This is not to be confused with the XBA .60 caliber weapons system.

OOC: The production rights are rather expensive. I'm mean the Viking is just a pickup with a gun on the back.

OOC: Is that good now? I'm trying to make it cheap for low income countries.

OOC:

Some things.
First, speed - it's sports saloons that go 150mph, not pickup trucks. A pickup is normally limited to about 100mph.
Second, engine - if you want to keep it affordable, put there a smaller engine, perhaps 140-160 hp, 2.5-3.0L inline 4, with 300-350 N*m torque.
Of course putting acceleration to normal limits as well (10 seconds or so). Otherwise you're making something costlier than LM002.

* Battery life... whole cars don't last 400,000 miles, let alone batteries.
* Tow capacity... 12,000 pounds, but not 30,000.

Emplaced Cannon for Technicals or Ground Support Operations (http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg193/DashieCamel/cannonpiece.jpg)

Intro

In an effort to cut costs further, the militia of Dashie relies on inexpensive equipment for operations. They demand a product that can be mass produced, compared to the army of Dashie, which demands high quality, high production grade products. Therefore, the EM cannon emerged. This is a general cannon that fires a 155mm artillery shell at a distance up to 14,000 meters (14 kilometers). There is nothing high tech about this weapon. It is a simple, polished cannon akin to those used by 3rd world countries.

This shell, however, is not GPS guided.

Fired device is in back of the cannon. It requires only one operator, but two are suggested: one to load artillery shells, and one to close the back of the cannon and fire with the trigger.

The operator must manually feed the artillery shell, but does not need to do anything else other than press the trigger.

Weight: 5 tons
Carriage: Spit Trail
Caliber: 155 mm
Fire rate: 7 rounds / min w/ rapid loading and firing

A-1020 Machine Gun (http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg193/DashieCamel/A-1020.jpg)

Intro

The A-1020, first manufactured in 1986, and adopted by the Black Lands Army (neighbor to Dashie) in 1996, and a formidable support weapon. It uses the standard 7.62 X 51mm NATO round, and has a bi-pod for proned support. Often refered to as "RPK lite," this weapon uses many of the same mechanisms as the RPK, including having a gas-operated, rotating bolt system. It does not, however, use the 7.62 X 39 mm bullet like the RPK does. The A-1920 uses a sleak wooden design as opposed to a plastic design. The reason for this is simple: it's developers do not believe in 'plastic weapons.' Along this line of thought, the A-1020 also uses the same low-maintenance parts and mechanisms of those in the AK-47 and RPK weapon systems.

It's stock, however, has an upward angle as opposed to the conventional flat RPK stock. It also requires that the machine gun magazine be loaded into the top. This also means that a pan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magazine_%28firearms%29#Pan) must be used as opposed to a drum. Most armed forces who use the weapon, however, prefer a simple magazine.
