Well, when I first joined, I though that I would have my nation be made up of exactly what it sounds like, the Crimean Peninsula.

However, I have recently decided to undo this conception, and make it into a more traditionally shaped nation, definitely coastal, but less bound by the oceans than it originally was.

If anyone knows how to make a map on a Mac without paint, please do TG me on how, or just post it right here.

Macs... ew. I'd pirate Photoshop if I were you, it makes map-making easier.

What I do is make a large black amorphous blob vaguely the shape of my nation, then erase bits and pieces with the eraser tool. I suppose this would work in any program with a non-square eraser, but applying all the details and such is something only Photoshop can do.

Just throw some inner glows and such on there with Photoshop, and you've got a nice satellite photo:
