Part I: Background

In the chaotic modern age, Romandeos stands proud as a rock-steady country, unbothered it seems by public discontent, and civil disobedience.

Romandeos is a a new entry in to the worldwide list of absolute monarchies. It is also a long-standing adherant to the ideals of tolerance of all those who live within the Empire's boundaries. Any ethnicity, any political group and any religious group can find acceptance here, so long as they can accept others, keep within the law and do not make difficulty.

Part II: The Empress

Empress Taunja I Lockeheart is the current Empress of the Imperial Federated States, and is also the first of her blood-line. Though she regularly appears in public, she is a shy, and largely reclusive, sort of Empress. Every public showing is carefully planned and timed, a highly charged publicity stunt, meant to get maximum effect. This modus operandi comes in large part from her past in the old Kingdom of Romandeos. Taunja is seen by most as a highly intelligent and very powerful ruler, worthy of respect and admiration for her action in the days following the collapse of the Kingdom. With this admiration also comes a pity in the minds of many. She was very young when the Generation Disease broke out killing her superiors and leaving her to run a country in chaos.

Right now her main goals are to keep Romandeos stable and whole, guard her people and her nation against enemy forces, and establish a dynasty.
