OOC: My "A" is not working, so sorry if words are misspelled.

Newsflash

The 2008 New Brittonian parliamentary elections, aided by the death of Prime Minister David Flower solidly kept the Communist Party of New Brittonia in power, with over 60% of the Parliament being Communist.

After disgust with the current incumbency of Prime Minister Mohammed Javaid, the Communist Party chose the young young minister from Brittonia’s second largest city, Victoria, Jacob Cruch, 43, to be the Prime Minister, representing not only youth (Javaid was 81 when he retired) but moderacy, being a Communist from the heart of Brittonia’s most conservative region.

Although the ruling party of new Brittonia is the Communist Party of New Brittonia, their ideologies, beginning in the mid-’70s have softened, and the party doctrine is more similar to a European Socialist or Labour prty rather than the Soviet Union’s Communist Party.

Members of the Communist Party of New Brittonia are called “Communards” and the leder of the Communist Party is called the “Chief Communard”.

The Government of New Brittonia invites the world to a private conference to discuss human (and non-human sentient) rights throughout the world, and plans of action in humanitarian and other emergencies. This will be located in Epsom City College, in Epsom, New Brittonia's capital. Also, after, a question and answer session by university students, if permitted.

Signed,

Prime Minister of the United Socialist States of New Brittonia
Jacob Croutch

[OOC: How lonely...]

Vitaliy sat in his leather chair aboard the Tu-444 business jet, staring out the window. He had awakened from his long slumber after flying for several hours, seeming like several days and nights due to the massive distance that they needed to travel to reach New Brittonia. After a few more hours of flying, Vitaliy had fallen asleep again, only to wake up now and see what appeared to be the New Brittonian shores.

He stood up and walked over to another window and looked out to see a great expanse of land. Meanwhile, the pilot radioed a New Brittonian control tower for landing privileges, which were granted moments after requesting. The aircraft touched down on the concrete, smoke flying from the friction between the rubber tyres and the ground. After arriving a complete stop, Vitaliy walked down the stairs that extended from the craft and sniffed the air. It was an odd smoky smell. He ran off towards the terminal.

Within, it was very busy, in stark contrast to the quiet outside. Passengers were running about, rushing to their flights, eating from small restaurants, and talking to one another. Vitaliy ran through the airport and eventually reached the front of the airport, where he looked for a car rental. He found a suitable vehicle, paid for it, and drove off to the conference. Soon after, he arrived, and he parked his car and walked over to the conference hall. He searched for the entrance, found it, and opened the door. Within, he looked for a chair and sat down.

[OOC: Took a crapload of liberties.]
