DOMESTIC LAWS

#1 TV is restricted to 2 hours per day. 30 minutes is a news broadcast

#2 No stores are to be open past 5:30 to help preserve electrictity. Only eesential industries and civic and administrative buildings are permitted electricity past 10pm. Anybody who uses power past 10 is heavily taxed

#3 All clothing must be Bulgislavian made and approved by the government

#4 Travel outside of the country is banned. Travel into the country is banned. Unless you are allied soldiers or a restricted number of allied civilians.

#5 The ownership of private vehicles is restricted, Ownership of bicyles is also restricted

#6 Travel outside of communities and cities requires a permit and permission and must be stated weeks in advance

#7 Private fishing in boats is illegal, Limit to how far people can swim out into the ocean. A trip to the coast and beach requires a permit

#8 People buying a telephone need a permit. Suspicious people will be denied a telephone

#9 All media is owned and censored by the state. That is the Bulgislavian Radio, Bulgislavian state TV and the Voice of the People news paper.

#10 Contraception and abortion is banned. All woman have to have at least 5 children by the time they are 40 or they will face heavy fines and tax's

#11 New city and architectual planning laws are in place. All buildings must add to the cities homogenous structure at all times. Its important all cities are symetrical. Identical block buildings lineing wide avenues is the central plan.

#12 Rationing is in place. 80 grams of butter, one loaf of bread, one liter of milk, 200grams of meat are the weekly rations for one houshold. Apples are restricted and Bananas and Oranges are banned as "Export Fruit"

#13 all citizens ages 18 - 20 have to serve 12 months in the military including women but they only serve 6 month.

#14 torture by the police, military and Cigouriva is permitted

#15 the death penalty by fireing squad is also permitted

#16 Demonstrations and freedom of speech is either banned or restricted depending on thier nature

#17 All independent organizations are banned e.g Opposition political parties, independent news papers, independent trade unions etc

#18 Foriegn books, currency and material is banned. and foriegn broadcasts are blocked out. its illegal

#19 computers and the internet are banned. Only computer models from the early 90's are imported for factory use. All typewriters must be regestered and samples of thier work filed for the Cigouriva (So all dissident letters can be traced)

#20 all music, artwork, literature and performances are censored by the state

#21 The authorities have the right to break up groups of 4 or more in a public place

#22 contact with foriegners is banned

#23 the use of some electrical appliances are banned on some months such as dryers and washing machines (for power conservation)

#24 All apartments, flats, houses or dwellings must contain a portrait of Milencu fixed into the wall and must be taken care of

Theft = 5 years in a forced labour camp

Caught with drugs = 500 Urmi Fine and 8 months in prison

Distributing drugs = 5,000 Urmi Fine and 20 years in forced labour camp

Murder = Death penalty by firing squad


Political Crimes
Telling a joke about the communist party and leadership = 3 months in prison

Possesing foriegn material = 800 Urmi fine and 6 months in prison

Writting subversive texts = 25 years in forced labour camp or Death Penalty by firing squad (Family is also imprisoned)

Publicly demonstrating = 20 years in forced labour camp

Organizing demonstration = Death penalty by firing squad (Family is also imprisoned)

Striking = 1,000 Urmi fine and anywhere from 1 to 5 years in prison

Organizing strike = Death penalty by firing squad (Family also imprisoned)

Doctor who performs abortions = 2,000 Urmi fine, 6 months in prison and banned from medical career

female who undergoes abortion = 1,000 urmi fine and 6 months in prison

Woman who does not have 5 children by the time they are 40 = 500 Urmi fine for every child that dont have for example having 3 children would see you have a 1000 Urmi fine. having 4 children would only see a 500 Urmi fine. if you dont have any children and you are completely fertile then you will be imprisoned for 2 months

people caught with contraception = 300 urmi fine

listening to foriegn broadcasts = 800 urmi fine and 1 year in forced labour camp

Possesing banned goods = 500 Urmi fine and 3 months in prison

Contact with foriegners = 400 Urmi fine and 48 hours in prison

Leaving area without permit = 1,000 urmi fine and 2 years in forced labour camp

Defying power restrictions = 300 urmi fine, for 2nd time is 300 urmi fine and 24 hours in prison

Caught trying to defect = 10 years in forced labour camp

Not taking care of your Milencu portrait = forced to pay 3 months of wage

Covering your Milencu Portrait with something = 3 months in prison

Government crimes

Proposing laws that undermine the party and constitution = expulsion from party adn 3,000 urmi fine

Publicly critisizing government = Expulsion from party and 30 years in forced labour camp

Publicly threatening government and party = death penalty by firing squad

Embezzlemt of state funds = Expulsion from party adn 10 years in forced labour camp

Most important rules of the party members to know.

#1 No party member is to hold a position for more then 5 years and are constantly being rotated to prevent them from creating a powerbase except the general secretary and president

#2 Party members must show conformity and support for the leadership and the direction of the party and leadership

Economic points of interest

#1 most factory equipment and machinary is extremely outdated from the 1960's and 1970's

#2 1980's style cars are the only ones that are made in the country. 1980's and 1990's style washing macines and dryers are the only models made in the country

#3 people stand in long lines to buy goods in poorly stocked shops with empty shelves.

#4 Currently Statues of Milencu are being erected and placed everywhere. already the radio, news papers and TV dedicate most of thier time to him and to glorify his image. Portraits are also starting to go up around the major cities

#5 Powercuts occur often in the country. Most lasting from around 2 to 4 hours with the occasional one lasting up to 6 hours.
