It had always been a desire of the Empress of Ixania, Anastasia II, to continue the dynasty of her ancestors which she considered to be one of her life goals ever since she was coronated as the monarch after her father passed away. While looking for a consort was not only a way for her to achieve this goal, it did get quite lonely in the Imperial Palace even though there was always a maid or butler around. Motivated by Lamoni's President's declaration, the Empress decided that it would be the best moment to discuss finding a suitor. She knew that there were some that had sought her hand such as the Belkaran Emperor and those who were in love with her such as Emperor Heinrich of Achae-Ottonia and there was also the Tharran prince proposed as a husband by the King of Tharra. A young, beautiful and refined woman in her early to mid twenties, the Empress would compose a simple message to send to the nations.

The reason that religion is mentioned on the entry form is to just learn more about the candidate. A candidate with qualities such as intolerance towards other religions will most likely not be accepted. In Ixania, the two main religions are Eastern (Greco-Russian) Orthodoxy and Lutheranism. I am not going to give preference to followers of either of these; as I want to be fair. Also, if you are willing (though it would be appreciated), you can RP your suitor as accompanying Anastasia to galas, etc as Lord Sumguy does with LS and Queen Hannah in the Royal Tour threads, etc. If this thread does not get enough interest with say, one to four suitors at least, then I will give the Empress an Ixanian suitor. I do want to go forth with a new part of my nation's story but I simply thought it would be nice to have some foreign blood in the Imperial Family. Personality: Charles-Antoine is handsome and dignified, being highly educated by private tutors (all professors of the University of Calais). He is also an accomplished polyglot, being able to speak French (Tharra's national language), English, Latin, Greek, Spanish, German and Russian. The young fils de Tharra also is an accomplished sportsman and enjoys horseback riding, soccer, dancing and hunting. Bio: Charles-Antoine was born at the Palais Royal, in Calais, Tharra's capital, the third son of His Most Faithful Majesty King Francois III of Tharra. He spent a majority of his childhood away from the court and city, at his father's private country palace, the Château de Blois, with his other siblings. The latter part of his youth was spent at the Palais de Vendôme, the primary royal residence in Calais, where he was privately educated. Though a younger son of a king, Charles-Antoine still received a sound education in politics and statecraft, as it is the custom of the Tharran royal family for younger sons to govern more far off regions of the realm.
His Royal Highness currently resides at the Palais de Vendôme in Calais, though he prefers to spend as much time as possible at his own private residence in the city nearby, the Hôtel de Charlot.

*Note: the title of "fils de Tharra" (literally "son of Tharra" in French) is born by all the sons and grandsons of the king, it being a higher title than "prince de Tharra," which signifies that the incumbent is a "prince of the blood" and thus a more distant relation to the king. Bio: Sulla was born into a wealthy patrician family, the Aemalians. Despite their ancient pedigree, the Aemalians were not especially politically influential, having produced only one other Consul.
Sulla entered the political scene at the age of nineteen, after having spent the two year minimum serving in the armed forces. During this time he became a Senator.
By the age of twenty-six Sulla Aemalia was a highly prominent political figure having been a key player in many elections and having received a permanent rank in the Temple Of Sol Invictis. He stood in the Two Thousand and Six election (Two years ago) and won the election by a stunning Sixty-Eight percent majority. Winning Right Honourable consulship for the year. during this time he made many political and military reforms , including mass armament of the military. With his growing popularity he was able to win the Two Thousand and Seven (One year Ago) Elections, giving him another year as Right honourable Consul, during this time he continued his reforms and armament of the military while increasing funding to the Health Care and Education systems.
He also won this years elections, giving him a third term as Right honourable Consul. During this time he began drawing up plans for a mass Alliance and the arrival of Hachihyaku in the political scene through controversial threats and demands.

Bio: Lucius was born into a large family whos sole income was meager portions provided by a local mafia family whom his father worked for pedaling drugs. At age 6 his older brother Peperiano was struck by car being driven by a drunk driver when trying to catch a soccer ball that had been kicked across the street when the two were playing at a local park. He died shortly after being delivered to a local hospital. His mother, stricken by grief, delved into alcoholism after Peperiano's death. At Age 12 Lucius was recruited into the same mafia family his father still worked for and helped him smuggle drugs. He was arrested at 13 with his father and sent to a reform school. No longer influenced by poverty Lucius struggled to achieve greater academic skill. After two years spent in reform school he was given a chance in a public school through a local reaching out program funded by the government to give children of poor families a better chance. He succeeded well in 1-4th grade, being held back in 5th and finally moving into 6th. From middle school through highschool he was on constant honor roll . Impressed by the boy's story, Emperor Quaeus gifted him with a $50,000 scholarship to a prestigious college. As he expected, he was one of the top students to graduate in his class.

He became a briefly successful businessman before briefly serving as an officer of the carabinieri to try a military-type of life style. Slowly delving into poverty once more due to lack of interests in many fields of occupations, his situation came before the Emperor once again. Compelled to motivate Lucius, Emperor Quaeus personally approached him and requested he join the Senatus de Roma V. Five years in office and he is quickly becoming a valued member of the Senate after being taken under the wing of the wisest and oldest Senator, Senator Apelius. He is currently the only Senator in the history of Roma V to be given a seat in the Senate with a history involving run-ins with the authorities.

Bio: Augustine Tyrain was educated privately by members of the Church Select until the age of eighteen, where he entered the University Select (as opposed to Civil and Militant) of Tol Isam. His tutors included his late uncle, the “Living Saint” Simon Tyraine, the current Archbishop of the Church Civil, Luke Pontius Vaenate, and the liberal Isamite philosopher Peter Fatinaiyne. As a child of the politically powerful Tyrain family his cousins and uncles include Bishops of the three divisions of the ecclesiastical government and his forebears produced countless more in previous generations.

He has been publicly revealed as a force on the liberal wing of Isamite politics, taking advantage not only of his family’s influence within the Church but also its significant private wealth. The Tyrain family is considered to be one of the most powerful non-institutional bodies within Isam, alongside the Tay, Iscariot, Jyrellen and Kaenaio families (the closest thing to nobility the Imperial Faith Union possesses). He holds the titles Knight-Commander of the order of St. Pancras, and Nazareth Protector-Select of the Faith ((OOC note: this last title is granted to all officers of the Nazareth ranked Cleric-Captain and above, and is not to be confused with the title Nazareth Defender-Select of the Faith, which is granted to the commanding officer of the Nazareth, or the title Defender-Select of the Faith, which is granted to the senior clergyman of the Church Select)). He bears the rank Cleric-Major of Nazareth.

Personality: Athletic (likes playing football especially, though target shooting is something he is very good at), a little shy in new situations, but extremely friendly and sympathetic. Rather progressive/reform-minded, with a strong sense of justice. Good sense of humor, hates stiff rules and protocols (bit of a practical joker at times). Extremely dedicated to preserving the greatness of his people, and believes that his duty must always come before any, more pleasurable activities.

Religion: Etphallian Catholic (Roman Catholicism with regional quirks)

Bio: Was born in 625 AS (roughly 1985 by normal calendar) in Westfall, the second son of Kaiser Johannes Hansburg III of Westphallia and Queen Claudia Marius of Imperia. His older brother died in a hunting accident when Heinrich was young, forcing the young prince to turn to other family for companionship (as far as children his own age). Because of this, he has an extremely close relationship with most of his cousins. At age 6, he was enrolled in a public school just outside Ottonia (the city), and attended until he turned 18. He then attended the University of Ividendo in Haspathia (Achaean Empire) studying history until age 20, when his father was struck down in an influenza epidemic, which would claim his mother's life a few month's later. At this point, Heinrich returned from college to assume the role of Ottonian Kaiser. The next year, when his great-uncle Trajanicus Marius, the Achaean Emperor, died at the age of 81, Heinrich, as next in the line of succession through an agreement made when his parents married, became emperor of both states, creating a new country in the process. He spent the next three years reforming the Ottonian legal and political system to make it more fair to the common man. At one of the first functions he attended, he met Empress Anastasia, and was smitten. He next returned home to help lead the country through a brief civil war, imprisoning a pretender to the throne and bringing a rogue province to heel. After that, he fixed up the legal system and political system a little more, including breaking the barrier standing against there being a female ruler of the empire (continuing his general reform of the government) and empbarking on a massive modernization project for both the nation's industries, commerce, and military. He is well-loved by his people, and is devoted to running things smoothly and making the quality of life better for all of his subjects. One of his more...interesting pillars of his rule has been enforced tolerance (intolerance is against the law). When questioned by bigots as to his stance on this matter, he echoed the words of his namesake great-great-great grandfather Heinrich I "the Stubborn": "Ah well, alloys are sturdier anyway."

1. Skaugra, I'm not going to have terrorists kidnap the Empress. I do not want her in personal harm but I will tell you that my plan for her is to eventually die...but on her deathbed from health problems. That's how she will depart from this mortal and temporal world.
2. Lord Sumguy, I think I may have such a tour but I'll think about the details. I'm imagining the Empress inviting the suitors who have most interested her or something; because I don't know if every suitor's nation is going to be active in this. So far, I have the tour of Ixania as being both for pleasure and for education; as all the suitors would, if one of them gets chosen, have to learn about Ixanian culture, etc. In the tour, the Empress would finish it with a declaration as to who she chooses.
3. Isa, you don't have to argue with others here and don't worry about me talking; I won't. Concerning Isa's relationship with Ixania, we have two marriages between us and we are probably allies due to them.

OOC: I think that the suitors will have to talk to other people too though. There's always Anastasia's concerned mother, her personal assistant and even her younger but headstrong brother. It's not a requirement for any participants in this to be on good relations with them but Anastasia would prefer it.

1. Empress Mother Emilie: The Empress' widowed mother who is going to play a significant role in this story. She will be sort of a judge and, although she'll let her daughter marry whoever she chooses, may or may not like that person regardless. She'll talk to the suitors when she meets them and see if they are worthy in a sense; but she's not rude or anything. She's just concerned.
2. Vladimir: the Empress' personal assistant who has known her since birth. He is concerned for Anastasia's well-being and will, at times, question the suitors he meets.
3. Prince Alexander: Although the Empress is older than him, Prince Alexander is one of the Empress' brothers and is deeply concerned about his elder sister as he is for his entire family. He is only a young man, much younger than most of the suitors but can fight well.

Basically, there will be some people like these just concerned about the Empress and hoping that the man she chooses would be good for her. That's all really.

Adam was lounging on his bed when the door opened and two young men in battledress entered.

"C'e, quam la esame?" Adam asked without looking.
("So, how's the exam?")
"Dei s'bena," one of the newcomers answered.
("All is fine.")
"Oriture, dái, tu vincecce dei di ci," the other person said, and then turned to Adam, "Ca Grenno rovinecce mai tagettu orosal in la settru venno as ce rotecce untra l'ollino."
("Oh really, come on, you beat all of us... His Majesty shot out them targets smack at the center as he rolled down the hill.")
The King did not contest the statement further and instead paced towards Adam to sit on a creaky chair at the beside. Kyle laid his knapsack beside the bed and started untying the shoelace of his combat boots.
"Tinne, tu ecce giusta, l'esame s'dura," Kyle said to Adam.

Despite being members of the nobility and being the King and the Lord Protector, Kyle and Adam do not receive special treatment in the Nord-Brutlandese Army Military School. They get the same bunk beds, hard mattresses, public showers, bland food, and rigorous training as the other cadets get. The only thing they had that others didn't is an enclosed area/room in the living quarters. But still, that room was shared with two other people: Cadet Sgt. Nicandro Lambruschini, a member of the House of Palatina-Terragnano and a higher-ranking officer; and Simon di Bonemerse, their batchmate. Simon and Kyle took their "exam" that day; Adam had his the day before. The exam was like a final exam for that "semester", after the exam, they all got a break where most cadets go home for a few weeks. The roommates were glad they all got high marks in the very, very tough "exam".

Bio: The Porscale family had traditionally maintained close ties with the Nord-Brutlandese monarchy. Aside from being the Dukes of Trascara, the Porscales are also the hereditary Lords Protector of Brutland and Norden - a position that is tasked to look after and ensure the safety of the Kings of Brutland and Norden.

Adam was born just half a month before King Kyle II of Brutland and Norden was born. He stayed in the family castles in Trascara during his first few years.

His father, Duke Matto (Matthew) IX of Trascara, brought his eldest son to Kingsville when Adam was about three years of age. Duke Matthew wanted the future Lord Protector to be close to the future King. Adam and Kyle were playmates, and they were tutored together by Princess Samantha, Duchess of Trefini-Campedusa.

The two boys did indeed become best friends and treated each other like brothers. Adam also did turn out to be a bright lad, placing ninth in the grantwide aptitude exams (in which Kyle placed seventh). He as also active in the local ice hockey team.

When King Adam IV died, the Nord-Brutlandese crown passed to Kyle, and so the title of the Lord Protector passed on to Adam. The two went together into military school in 2007.

After high school the three split up to go to different forms of higher education with Gabriel attending a school for the classical arts with his specialty, the piano.

Quickly being deemed more than satisfactory by his instructors, Gabriel left the concert halls to spend a year travelling, spending time in Japan, Germany, and Italy. A few months after returning home, he went through the military basic training to secure a place in the reserve before deciding to spend a little time relaxing and thinking of which of his passions he wished to follow in getting employment.

Personality: Amery is generally a nice young man, shy, and reserved, though some say he has a tendency to come across as tensed, especially when issues such as the racial policies in his country are discussed openly, or when he is talking about his own experiences from his days in the Protectorate Army, fighting insurgents in the inland brush. Apart from and in spite of these things, he is usually a nice enough young man, bright and intelligent, and humorous, when the rare mood strikes him.

Bio: Amery was born in the city of Calderon to Robert and Cecilia Calderon, making him Protector Marcus Calderon’s nephew. His life was fairly uneventful as a child, and he had little contact with the outside world. This is perhaps what drove him to join the Army and leave home when he turned seventeen. He was quickly put through OCS and posted to an incredibly boring coastal logistics unit. Using some connections gained during training he managed to secure a transfer, obtaining a posting to a colored cavalry squadron. There, he lived out most of his Army commission fighting various anti-government forces, rising to lead his own troop of cavalry.

He left the Army following an incident in which he was shot and nearly killed leading his men in a mounted assault on a rebel camp.
