We will not be in support of any official Zanski party, but we are declaring RFF-UP as our enemies. With authorization, or without authorization if genocidal action or a full-fledged civil war erupts, we would like permission to dispatch troops on Zanski soil to protect key positions and stamp out the revolution.

"Prince Ranakin, we have an ergent situation," said Field Marshall Vamp as he entered the Palace Throne Room. "The country of Zansk has fallen into a civil war,"

Prince Ranakin looked up as Vamp came over to him with a telegram in his hand. Ranakin looked back at the war game between the Assassin's and Hunter's on Lynscet Island. The navy was doing manovour's alongside the air force. It seemed to be quiet for the military forces of Lynion.

"So? It's just a civil war," replied Ranakin.

"The Fascists or Nazi's have taken over the country," stated Vamp.

Ranakin looked up as he watched Vamp waiting for orders.

"Field Marshall Jian is away in Korea at the moment, so is Lee and Thomas..." started Ranakin. "Have your apprentice lead the 2nd Lynion Guardian Fleet, 4th Lynion Assassin Regirement, 21st Hunter Battalion, 20th Hunter Battalion and the 6th and 3rd Regular Battalion's. So that will number close to 2,500 men to around 5,000 men," ordered Ranakin.

"I'll send a telegram to the Rebels who are fighting we can come to their aid," ended Vamp.

He returned to the Radar Station and sent off a telegram.

Prime Minister Bruno Hudson pushed back in his chair, admiring the craftsmanship on the desk in front of him. It was at least decades, maybe centuries old, the symbol through the ages of strength in the prime ministerial position, which he now occupied - for the last two weeks, at least. Just today he had finished moving in, Wolfe had finished moving his last effects out, and he finally felt as if the office was his.

He was just finishing his settling in routine when there was a sharp rap at the door. He looked up to see Jules Willard, his new foreign minister, standing at the door holding a folder in his hands. "Jules!" Hudson said, smiling broadly. "Come in!"

Willard took a few steps into the office almost reverentially, looking around and nodding his head approvingly before setting the folder down on Hudson's desk. "So you're all settled in now?" he said. Hudson nodded.

"Victory is all the more sweet when you've got an office this good to settle into," he said with a sly shake of his head. He gestured at the folder. "Foreign affairs dossier?"

Willard nodded. "For the past week."

"Anything of note?"

Willard shrugged almost apologetically. "Nothing really of note. There's a few diplomatic exchange programs, a couple budding crises, but nothing extraordinary. Still nothing on the APOC front, and the external affairs research panel hasn't magically produced any results in the few days since you called its formation."

Hudson gave a small laugh. "I'll take a look through anyway."

He flipped open the front cover of the file and quickly leafed through the titles on the various reports, while Willard still stood there waiting. Upon coming to one set of papers, Hudson stopped, his brow slightly furrowed. "What's this?" he said, pulling it out and holding it in front of him. Willard stepped around the desk and leaned in slightly.

"Oh, that? Civil war in some nation called ..." he leaned in closer and squinted. "Zanski. Socialist People's Union of Zanski. It looks like a classic case of a disputed election followed by a surge of violence, this time from a neo-fascist group, and an uprising."

Hudson flipped over the top page to a quick summary of events. "Fall of established governmental order," he mused, "followed by the murder of the newly-elected president, a state of emergency and security crackdown, fascist uprising, and now an open rebellion and incitement of civil war. Looks more interesting than usual."

"How so, Bruno? It's pretty much the same as all those other civil wars in the world. Why is this one special?"

"It's special because it's a perfect opportunity. We get to step in as defenders of an established social democracy, taking on radical far-rightist elements. We not only get to use the chance to espouse interventionist policy, but we could well get a lot out of this. Here, get Terry to meet with the service chiefs and see just what forces we could dispatch on fairly short notice. In the meantime, find me Admiral Blaine and get him in here with a report on patrolling assets in the area. I want to at least get a task force close so we can monitor the situation without relying on the newswire."

Willard nodded. "I'll find Terry and Blaine."

HNS ATHENA, DRAGOON-CLASS FLEET CARRIER; FLAGSHIP OF PATROL GROUP 5, CAPT. JOSEPH STERN COMMANDING

It was a calm day on the high seas, open water stretching to the horizon in every direction except where it was punctuated by the sharp, angular outlines of the Athena's escort group, formed up around her and her smaller sister, the light carrier Rickard. On the bridge of the Athena, Captain Joseph Stern received a message from Admiral Roger Blaine, Chief of the Harakian Navy, instructing him to immediately alter course towards the nation of Zanski, where his force was to assume a holding position in international waters and monitor the situation.

They were the closest group patrolling in force, and Blaine's message made it clear that a meeting of the service chiefs together with the new cabinet was to be undertaken in short order to establish a better appraisal of the situation and just what forces would be needed for whatever undertaking was decided on. He was all-but assured naval reinforcements, which was good. The situation report was not the most promising he had ever seen, and given the erratic nature of the revolutionary forces, it was considered at least somewhat probably that action would be taken against international forces in the area, even just as observers. In the case of such an incident, he knew his fleet carrier, - smaller than the later models and coming closer to obsolescence with every passing day - despite the support provided by the Rickard's sixty planes, would probably not be enough.

"Lieutenant," he called out, addressing the helmsman, "bring us about to the designated heading, and increase speed by half. Communications, send a message of acknowledgment to Admiral Blaine, then relay the same heading to all ships in the group. Set all hands to ready notice, and double the CAP. We just might need it."

The ship's horn blared.

"Suit up gentlemen!" said a General, walking along a line of men with his hands behind his back and a cigar in his mouth.

"The situation in Zanski has worsened! We'll be setting sail today! I suggest you all get ready now, lest you want to be thrown to the sharks!"

"Aye Aye sir!" the soldiers yelled in unison, and all boarded the ship. Engineers soon followed.

The first ships set course for Zanski, and vehicle carrying ships were now boarding. "Watch that Class I Dashie Battle Tank (http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/gg193/DashieCamel/battletank.jpg)!" said an Engineer, as the first tank was being loaded onto the ship. 50 more would be loaded onto 5 ships.

Next came the jet fighters, which were rolled onto aircraft carriers. There were 3 aircraft carriers in all.

The final ship has a boat load of weapons. "Load them up!" a soldier yelled. The crates were obviously not just for the soldiers. They were also for the rebels. "Be careful with those BLR's!" yelled a coordinating soldier. The crates were loaded onto the ship.

Londinian military mobilizes for Zansk intervention

NYQUIST, LC - Over the past week, the Second Zansk Civil War has broken out, leaving the vast country in chaos as the United Federal Republic government collapsed amongst fascist uprisings throughout the countryside; this turn of events has prompted serious concerns within HM Londinian Government, who fear what extremist right-wing demagogues could do if in control of Zanski.

"It is intolerable to the Crown to see yet another liberal democracy fall to the forces of fascism and extremism," Foreign Minister Edward Weigley announced to the press core this morning. "We intend to deal with the threat posed by the so-called 'Union of Patriots' swiftly, and restore law and order to Zanski once more."

Elements of the Londinian Armed Forces were mobilized around noontime today, with the 122th Royal Medical Regiment, the 19th Royal Engineers Regiment, the 1st and 2nd Armoured Regiments, the 4th, 27th, and 33rd Light Infantry Regiments, the 7th Intelligence Battalion, and the 10th Army Air Airborne Regiment serving as the ground deployments, with the 9th Royal Navy Battle Fleet, including the superdreadnought HMS Sir Alistair Davidson, comprising the expeditionary force's naval complement.

"The Londinian Expeditionary Force is expected to arrive within a fortnight at the shores of Kasha," Minister of Defence Andrew Crerar stated to the Parliamentary Select Committee for Defence. "We hope to make a rapid push for the capital, Xanka, and establish a refugee zone, hopefully relocating as many civilians to safer areas for the duration of the war."

Mr. Crerar also announced that more regiments were being mobilized for possible deployment at the Londinian beachhead, when established.

Tur Kalavar Province

The region of Tur Kalavar had been annexed by Zanski just before Pablo Azani of the Socialist Peopples Union fell. The region had first been capptured and legally occuied during the North CAlaveran Civil war and over seven million ethnic Zansk immigrated with the blessing of the government. As they were settlers, they were usually tied to nationalist groups that even fought against the government just before the area was annexed, in the 'Kalavar Conflict'.

So it came to no surprise when today 400 Ethnic CAlaverans were killed or injured in large-scale race riots, car bombings and burglaries in Calaveran areas such as the Kalavar Calaveran 'Capital' Y'skanderia.
Fighting between the UFRZ and SRTK (Sword Of the Revolution-TUr Kalavar), RFF-UP's 'THug division' also occured and 700 Zansk soldiers died. RFF-UP have not yet said how many 'Martyrs' have died, but say "Well over ten thousand" have perished in Tur Kalavar.
The few remaining UFRZ soldiers in CAlaveran areas (Calaverans have fought them too) are preparing to send all 10 million Calaverans back into NOrth Calaveras.

Even if I can only post an IC response later on, could you hold my spot?

The ships sailed full speed toward Zanski. The ships carrying the weapons would stop several miles off shore, and then transfer the weapons to civilian boats to be brought into Zanski for the rebels.

"Unload these!" yelled soldiers, as weapons were loaded into wooden motor ships that would be disguised as civilian boats.

"How do you suppose we get past Zanski port authorities?" asked a colonel.

"We're not going to the port," said a higher ranked soldier. "We're landing in the sticks. Hopefully, we can get some insurgents to pick our weapons up, and maybe bring our operatives into town for intelligence operations."

The sun had barely begun its ascent into the sky, its yellow rays weakly perforating the clouds, and, already, hundreds of heavy personnel transport airplanes clouded the horizon, surrounded by heavy gunships and stealth fighters. The transport airplanes dipped in altitude slightly, as their rear cargo doors slowly opened, revealing three thousand heavy paratroopers, wielding an array of weapons ranging from sniper rifles to machine guns to flamethrowers. The ground situation looked clear - intelligence indicated no military presence in the port, rebel or otherwise. Of course, precautions were made; no sense in wasting that many airborne troops out of recklessness.

As the aircraft sped towards Kasha to deploy the paratroopers, the 9th Battle Fleet began to shell the coast heavily, clearing the shores of whatever resistance the amphibiously-deployed regiments might meet as they sailed towards their landing beaches, and even the town proper was lightly bombarded to take out concealed weapons batteries.

Official Londinian Proclamation Regarding Future Zanski Governance

To whomever it may concern:

The Londinian Commonwealth has come to the conclusion that liberated, or, rather, soon-to-be liberated, Zansk territory will be unfit to govern itself in the near future, noting specifically the collapse of local and regional government following the implosion of the United Federal Republic. To maintain law and order, in addition to the values of a liberal democracy, within these portions of Zanski, the Commonwealth has established the Royal Control Council (RCC) to administer liberated portions of Zansk territory, which will be composed of civilian proconsular authorities in addition to military personnel. We ask that Zansk citizens within liberated areas respect the authority of the RCC and cooperate with it fully to ensure a peaceful interim administration.

I have withdrawn my interest, I am cancelling my proposed supply drop and i am now leaving the region.
