OOC: this is after the Supervolcano and MegaTsunami that hit The Islands.

IC: The Ryou had a good way from bonceing back from Disaster. The Great Disaster was one such. The Eruption of Isla de Fuego and The MegaTsunami that fallowed was the wrose Disaster in all History; 400,000 Dead, $400 Billion in Damage and a Empire Shaken.

The Capital City, Shai, had been rebuilt. Back to this, The Ryou Empire was now back in force. Empress Isabella lead the Rebuilding, with other nations that came to help.

Even Though The Ryou were kicked out from The Stevidian Empire, The Ryous were no longer the child the Stevidians thought. Now going Capitalist and With More Trade, the Empire was starting to rebuild It's Army and Marines (which among The military was hit hard by the Tsunami.) and make it's Navy Stronger.

The Ryous were useing money from Trade to fund The Military, Aid Money was still for civilians, makeing The economy strong again.

The Ryous were back.

OOC: Tell me, Hat, how are you supposed to generate that much capital?

I mean, your coastline was devastated by that tsunami, right? Four hundred thousand dead, and an equivalent in billions lost?

For one thing, trade is not likely. With that tsunami, I'd imagine a sizable amount of your harbors would have been damaged/destroyed. So, you'd have to spend a lot of money real quickly if you want to get trade back to normal; however, you still couldn't because there'd be a universal drop in production. Fishing fleets torn apart, four hundred thousand workers gone, offices/databases ruined, factories flooded, cities wiped out, et cetera. And compiled onto that, you lost perhaps your single greatest source of income, the Stevidian Empire!

And you're ludicrous enough to state that you can rebuild your capital city, and increase the size of your military!?! For one thing, you suffered a severe blow to the standing army when the waves hit, and with all the rebuilding you simply don't have the money to make your military any better, or probably even keep them at current levels.

So, even if you can trade, you'd either have a massive debt crisis, driving away foreign investors, a massive trade deficit, driving away trade, or, most likely, both.

OOC: And the even funnier part is he isn't counting the trillions he lost when I destroyed his massive fleet which was like one third of his Navy. Ryou, you are ruined and you couldn't bounce back for quite some time. Think about it, look at New Orleans, hit by a small hurricane and the city flooded, the death toll wasn't close to 400,000 but a lot of people died and many, many businesses were ruined. It has been three years almost since it happened and the city hasn't been rebuilt yet.

New Orleans isn't half as big as the amount of coastline and the city of Shai and it might take them two mores years until it is almost completely rebuilt. After this is would take much, much long, possibly a decade before trade would flourish again you could rebuild your military.

And on that note, having a "MegeTsunami" and "SuperVolcano" erupt would cause a lot more than 400,000 deaths, if I was to RP some crap like that happening the death toll would be in the millions, now way in Hell's fiery depths could you rebuild your biggest city, rebuild your military, and have trade flourish in less than an IC year of this event without a ton of wank.

I rest my case.

OOC: All these arguments are logical and very, very true. However the only problem is New Orelans only has a small work force rebuilding it. Ryou has a population in the billions meaning he could certainly dedicate a larger work force to the clean up to speed things up. Of course, speed wont solve everything. He'd have to mass hire construction companies to rebuild houses and buisiness, put extensive funds into rebuilding the landscape and possibly replanning the city. There's also the time you have to take into consideration over the construction of large buildings. You'd have to encourage a lot more people back also because even if the city is brand new there's no guarantee all the population came back. With a smaller population the economy of the city could dro and if businesses don't have enough employees they don't make as much money.

All in all there's a lot of holes in Ryou's reasoning.

OOC: QFT. He's bounced back from much, much worse in as much time. He was nuked, which mudered* tens of millions, then not 3 months later, he had everyship yard under his control nuked or god rodded, and in ten IC years, he had 10,000 ships and shipyards bigger and better than before. This is just the glimpse that is the madness that took place part way through his old nations existence. It was also the dying days before it got deleted.

After that inccident, several nations pledged help and support which you either ignored or you just abandoned the thread.

My nation ICL'y offerd you several trillion to help rebuild and I would love to do a realistic rp of helping you rebuild.

Going along with this current rp will mean that the vast majority of NS II'ers wont just say [IGNORED] in threads, they wil actually only see the message *you are ignoring this user*
