History
After the Italian Republic was absorbed into Roma V the non-existent Roman Legion adopted the armed forces of the Italian Republic for the time being. However, the armed forces were extremely small and the navy and airforce suffered due to the Italian Republic's past dedication and strict adhesion to the regulations made by NATO. This would not do. After the brief Ryou-Roman War Emperor Quaeus realized that the Republic needed to rebuild its military if it were to survive on the world stage. And so, with some minor redirection of funds back into the small Defense Budget, Roma V began to purchase advanced military equipment from various storefronts popular amongst the international community.

Introduction
The Roman Legion is under the command of the Roman Supreme Defense Council which in turn is presided over by the Emperor. It has four service branches and a total of 624,000 active duty personnel currently enlisted with 486,344 people approaching the age of enlistment (18), 100,963,513 people fit for service (15-49) but not yet enlisted, and 26,491,260 (15-49) people available for military service. Enlistment is voluntary for the populous. Amilio Vartuscina is the current Minister of Defense.
