TERRIST BOMBING IN WINDHOEK LEADS TO POLICE CRACKDOWN

Since the bombing in a shopping mall in downtown Windhoek last week which killed upwards of 30 people with dozens more injured, police arrests have doubled not only in Windhoek but across the country. According to Senator Pardie who held a press conference this morning to address the issue, the police are following the orders of Chairman Childs to "detain and interrogate anyone of a suspicious nature in the interest of public security". The senator went on to admit that while some of those who have been questioned were wrongly accused. Such incidents are few and those involved promptly released.

The Senate is expected to meet today to approve further water usage restrictions on city districts in response to the continued water shortage in the North western regions of the country. Today marks the 268th day of no rain outside of the Bread Basket...
