Overview
The Orbathian military is a highly trained, highly effective fighting force. Its organization and use revolves around the need to protect not only Orbath, but its allies. Therefore, although defensive in nature, the Orbathian military has the capability to project its forces around the globe.

Orbathian Navy
The Orbathian Navy's primary focus is the defense and patrol of the waters Orbath with a secondary role being force projection. Orbath's naval forces have been credited with playing an active role in several conflicts, providing much needed support to those on the ground. In fact, in the Cripistan conflict, Orbathian naval officers temporarily commanded Anagonian naval ships. Internally, the Orbathian Navy provides search and rescue support and has saved thousands of lives.
Major Naval bases are located on the southern coast at Portsmouth and on the northern coast at Aldershire. Each coast also has a variety of small bases which can house anything from search and rescue teams, small patrol boats or, in times of war, larger warships such as frigates.
Units
Squadron: A group of the same type of ships, usually two.
Group: A group made up of several types of ships, assembled to carry out a specific role or mission.
Fleet: A very large group of ships consisting of two or more ''groups'' assembled to carry out several roles or missions.
Task Force: A group of ships often one or more ''Fleets'' in a specific theater.

Orbathian Air Force
The Orbathian Air Forces' primary role is the protection and defense of Orbath both through interception of threats and patrol of the air, land and sea. A secondary role includes force projection, either through bombers, carrier aircraft or the transport of land forces. Luckily, there have been few cases in which the Orbathian Air Force was required to be utilized, however, they proved themselves a dangerous force, both in actual battle and in several war games.
Major Air Forces bases are located at Portsmouth, Aldershire and Orbath City.

Orbathian Army
The Army is regarded as the pinnacle of the Orbathian Military. The primary role of the army is the defense of Orbath with a secondary role including their projection abroad. The Orbathian Army is a very highly trained, well discipline force which has proved itself both in conflicts abroad and war games.
Royal Orbathian Foreign Legion
Although the ROLF shares similarities with the Orbathian Army, in many roles, legionaries are arguably more effective. Their primary role is the defense of Orbath and its colony, Throppe. Their secondary role includes force projection, primarily to failed or failing states to provide humanitarian aid.
