The Depot (Open, FT)

The Garbage Men

When one gathers the ability to travel faster than light one must also gain the ability to live in space.

The two streams of technology go hand to hand to the point where they intermingle and it is sometimes hard to tell the difference. Anyone that knows anything about the garbage men would probably know about their depot structure.

The Depot is the hub of all activity in it's territory, with Depot managers essentially represententing the Corporation in all matters regarding those within it's territory. However yet space is vast, large tracks have yet to be explored let alone settled or claimed. How are ships that have nothing near them going to be able to get necessary repairs, to the ship, it's components or robots on board?

So what about a Depot in Space? not bound to any single location but one that provides a rest for the weary space traveller to come and get his ship serviced whatever technology the TGM crews probably have seen it before.

After 10 years of construction the first ever space TGM depot was constructed advertisements went far and wide everywhere throughout the known galaxy. TGM's new service to those who's only home was their ship.

The Depot was a sphere of a diameter 5-kilometers, everything on board was recycled in some way or another. Repair docks extended out in all directions and that was basically what the entire of the outside of the station was devoted to ships and repairing of. There was even a used ship saleyard which took up it's own section.

Inside was a vast array of stores, from nic-nacs to butchers, mega-supermarkets to tiny specialty stores. Of course inside there are alot of other... ugh... diversions from the latest holovids and other similiar entertainment to the more sensual.

Everything was covered here even health-care.. the only question was... Would anyone come?

"Ah, good we've got company. What's the scans say... as to their identity?"

There was nothing came up as an exact match in the extensive database that they had but there were a number of "possible matches" each with a percentage rating... The overall design structure seemed to indicate the Isans but the technologies did not fit with known Isan technology, there had only been a 56-year gap and such a time gap did not seem appropriate for the technology gap.

This puzzled those that watched but sent a reply out anyway.

To unknown ship, This is a TGM Space Depot. Do you require services, and while it's not required it would help to provide you a better service to know your identity. Thank you for considering the Depot for all you space-based needs.

"Wolf sir do you really don't us to say it you"asked the Captain

"yes it be easy this way and no need for them to put on a show, so all they know is what you said"said Wolf as he cover his face with the mask which all Clone soldiers wear

INS Dragon Fire, permission to dock has been granted, Please dock at bay #624.

As the message was sent a welcomer was dispatched to give the Imperial Naval personnel that was coming abroad, a brief overview and an information pad so that they would be able to go and find anything that was available on the ship with the minimum of hassle.

The ship suddenly grew out of no were, as if expanding form a singularity. It came out fast, very fast but it slowed down quickly as if some other force was acting on it

The ship must have been around 4k’s as it went back to the rear it rased up and at the to was what you could describe as two “wings” it’s span about 1 quarter of the ships length. It was heavily damaged the right “wing” was completely torn off and hole sections of the hull were burnt or missing. the engines jolted the ship forward, as the ship staggered forward, it sent out a transmition to the Spherical Space Station within it’s visual range

A small scout detachment of Sertians consisting of a half a dozen vessels headed by one PC-Cruiser dropped out of FTl, dissolving the warp bubble which bent space before and after the vehicle to make it seem like it was moving faster than relativity would allow. They were dropping out in one more system before moving back to Solaron after a failed scouting mission - having been unable to find what they were looking for.

"Sir, we're detecting a large station a few AUs away from here, should we send a message?" A Riplard, a race of agile lizards that usually were known for their engineering prowess spoke up.

The Commander Jason of the Phoenix Class Cruiser Spacecurrent thought, pondering over his action while walking along the length of his bridge, "Well, we've been out for months on a wild goose chase, give them a message and maybe we'll make contact with a new species or be able to buy some technology. Who knows, but it's better than going back to Solaron empty handed."

"Pop!" followed by a slight giggle emanated from the mouth of a woman who was looking at scans of the space around the station.

"Hmmm?"

"Oh, nothing... Just we've got another customer... I think...."

"Yep, a customer, coming in for repairs." confirmed the communications person who had just finished with their message and set a confirmation indicating them to head to the dockyard slip numbered 152.

"Interesting, we've got a mini-fleet..."

"Anything Dangerous?"

"They could be."

"I've got a message from them... They want to drop by..."

"Okay, allocate them space but keep an eye, I don't want military vessels getting trigger happy. Keep an eye on them, if theres any funny business I want it contained."

...

The Welcomer accepted them back, as if it didn't phase her at all, she however was quite bemused but she had to take back the simple navigation aid, however she was extensively trained and drilled to take practically everything in her stride to hide a mere hint of annoyance.

Far outside the system, in the vastness of interstellar space lay something in wait, undetectable, stealthy, it was an Eye in the sky. Ominously it observed the happening at the depot, shimmering as it phased in and out of the fabric of space the fifty meter ship had already sent three probes on their way using stealthy void drive.
The commander of the EITS was David Henderson he had several officers with him working the controls hooked up to the QE mainframe computer that was guiding the probe craft on their way to the station, they carried wasp beaming pods onboard these probes, as well as sensitive sensor equipment and what not. The mission was simple get in get information and get out, however they wanted to test the new Sardaukar corps, even so to let the Wasps in to do their jobs, they had to have some on want to beam in. The commander contacted the Sardaukar destroyer that was escorting the ETIS unit; it was equally stealthed behind the smaller ship.
He started to talk on a tight beam QET channel his brown eyes peering around the bridge of the ship, a black power armored man looked back at him with a salute, his blackened mask plastered to his face.
“Commander what do you require of us”
David smiled he responded with a friendly yet commanding voice.

“We need you to establish contact with target, and get them to let you our wasps and men in.., from there you will “persuade them” to hand over vital information important to our national security or destroy the facility”
The Sardaukar nodded and saluted again up strait.

“Yes commander.”

The Sardaukar turned around as the comns went off, the large destroyer maneuvered out and went at full speed towards the station, its body shimmering back in to existence with a black and purple like haze running over its body, it rumbled over whatever was smaller than 300 meters. On the ship a Sardaukar solider was quickly converted from his usual heavily armored suit in to a constructed more diplomatic body, he looked around at his new skin and smiled, taping a button on the ships comn opening a frequency.

He started to speak with a diplomatic tone coming over his voice..

“This is the UTS Dark Nova, we wish to beam representatives of our group over, and we have come as a mercenary group to investigate some things”

The ship was un marked it was not obvious of federal design thanks to a mass masking, an advanced holographic cloaking technology.

Mean while in the ships armory a group of Sardaukar troopers, commando and elites, started to get ready, the commander of the group Major Brian Calhoun, had pressurized his dark energy infused armor plating , he raised his Dark energy sub machine gun to his chest, securing the energy clip, placing his black visored mask pressurizing it with his suit. He looked around a long black cloak behind him un marked yet of significance to the Sardaukar unit, he had Dark energy grenades placed in the atomic buffer he had on board to maximize stealth, he looked as others secured a combination of weapons, sniper rifles, dark flamers, and Dark energy chain guns, the common armament for Sardaukar forces.

He started to speak his voice reverberating around the armory, like a thunderous clap in an opening sky over a planet, he said.

“Men we are going in to a deadly situation, we must not fail, millions could die if we fail to get this information, remember our brothers, fathers sisters and mothers who could die if that ship attacks any of our planets, or even our allies, they would think it would be our doing, god be with us all”

He stopped talking continuing to secure some added protection, shielding, a void cloaking devices awaiting beam out proceedings.

The whole point of this mission was to stop a rouge TGM ship from attacking innocent worlds or allied worlds, it would spell disaster in life and politics if it happened, so it’s time to take it to the station..

“right 152” The Captain ordered the ensign to dock “take her in ensign, gently!, are engines are battered enough

The ship was attacked by a small feet of pirates looking for food and supplies most likely, somehow they managed to get a man inside the Starsailor and sabotage the replicators and shield generators. A good dell of fine men and women were lost in the resulting devastation. However the Starsailor managed to “tag” one of the ships in the fleet, soon enough a Admiral class ship would take care of them most likely the Republica.

Once the reapares were finished they should be able to meet up with Novella, an other Admiral class ship, and report all that has happened, but for the time being they need to focus on the situation at had. There ship was falling to pieces!

The ship slowly docked into the station

"Looks like they granted our request, they've given us a few places to dock, what should we do now Sir?" the Riplard asked, leaning against his chair while her commander was reading over her shoulder, getting the information himself just as she talked.

"Alert them we'll be appearing two thousand kilometers off of the side they've alloted for us. I think the Spacecurrent is to big to dock, so any men requesting leave for the vessel will have to take transports. Until then, see if they accept the Zerat as a form of currency, otherwise we can try to work out some sort of trade agreement to give all of our soldiers a bit of spending money."

As the ships sent their message to the station they activated their drift drives one by one - each ship seeming to dissolve in a stream of particles before reappearing at the allotted distance, the particles that looked like they had blended into the interstellar medium condensing and reforming the ship. The Phoenix-Class Spacecurrent took the longest to do so, and seemed to come in the farthest from the spherical station. The five smaller ships began to move slowly towards the various docking areas, while it appeared from energy signatures that no shields or weapons were currently active.

Captain Ishda contacted Admiral Regio, a female admiral in command of the Novella

“hmmm, I see, how many did you manage to eliminate before you were forced to retreat”

Ishda was in his office while talking to Regio.

“at least half the fleet was destroyed before we retreated, while pulling out we managed to tag what appeared to be there flag ship”

“hmm yes, the Republic is on rout to deal with them” Regio shouted off shoot to a unknown person “Not now! I’m doing admirals stuff”

A masculine voice came into the conversation

“oooo, admirals stuff can I watch”

“ughh I apologise captain” Regio pushed a button on the panel and the intruder was blocked out

“so you say you have docked at a space station for emergency repairs”

“yes, our FTL has pretty much had it after we pulled out of the battle, and out sub-light is unreliable at best”

“hmm, I see, well as soon as I clear this thing up I will be over to pick you up. Regio out”

Ishda reached forward suddenly “oh! Before you go I should tell you, our sensors spased out about 30 minutes ago. it’s probably just broken, with all the other broken stuff around hear it won’t surprise me. I’ve put the issue on the bottom of my reminders just in case”

“I see, I shall come as soon as I can. Out.”

Ishda leaned back in his chair, thinking about the sensors, he quickly dismissed them as just a malfunction he had more important things on his mind

"What an odd message..."

"What are you going on about know..."

She started to read the message from the TFU Sardaukar

"That is weird... anyway welcome them and give them a warning to play nice or we'll see just how good mercenaries they are. Anyway so what's happening with that wreck of a ship?"

"They've pulled in, I've got someone there to direct them to the appropriate repairers, I'm not quite fully up on their system but they will t least know what they need."

"good, what about this Isan... Wolf."

"Looking for Teddy bears apparently he's been directed to Teddy Bears picnic but gave the PDA back..."
"okay, that's unusual."

"Sir, The Sertian's are coming, we are not picking up any rises or changes in energy signature. Their weapons and shields are down, well that's what their energy signatures seem to say."

"Good, let them come..."

Your representatives are welcome to come and investigate any potential employment their may be with customers or with the Station itself. There is a brief flash so often associated with transport at FTL travel and the ship appeared. It was about the size and shape of your average patrol, sleek and silver in color, with a line of light showing where the cockpit was located. While it looked entirely unarmed except for two cannons sunk into the bow, this ship had a lot of hidden firepower...enough to cripple a small cruiser, in fact. This was the Star Snake, an infamous mercenary ship, bound for the Depot station on one of it's many stops for repairs, rearmament and general R&R for the two crew.

Cockpit...
A male voice first, deep and almost growling but nevertheless hiding an undertone of humor.
"So what have we got?"
A lighter, softer female voice this time.
"Looks like...Isan ship-"
"Those bastards get around."
"And a ship of unknown make, apparently moderately damaged...a small fleet, again not recognized...and-"
"What the hell is that?"
"Pirates, maybe."
"Pirates with a destroyer?"
"It's possible. Mercenaries?"
"I'd peg that for a large crime syndicate. But something doesnt look right...that's definitely military."
"So? We're military grade ourselves."
"Yeah, but that's got cloaked, advanced shields, looks like some hidden weapons. That's not for running down merchant ships, that's definitely a battle-wagon."
"I'd have to agree. But who?"
"Does it matter? As long as they don't stick their nose, or whatever, in our business we won't have a problem. At least, they won't have a problem."

The Star Snake approached the Depot slowly, broadcasting tight-beam to the Station:
This is the Star Snake, requesting a hanger to dock in. We are peaceful traders and do not intend any harm. All we want is a place to trade our cargo and some time and space to relax in.
Of course, they were mercenaries, so not exactly peaceful, and smugglers, not traders. They had some illegal cargo, weapons and technology, which could go out to a buyer, and they could usually find an interested party somewhere. Nevertheless, they did not intend to kill anyone here. That part of the message was true. All they wanted was something to drink other purified water and beer, something to eat rather than rations or slightly stale or spoiled food from the refrigerator, and somewhere to sleep other than their ship bunks for a while.

The Depot Space Station

The small corvette (http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b184/Upum/New%20Ships/MediumCorvette2.png) that came out of hyperspace was, one could say, very sleek. Having been converted with different ship parts from one end of the galaxy to another, a few body-fits by a Tau merchant, and more than a few black markings indicating recent combat, it was none the worse for wear. It's entire body was a deep silver color that almost looked metallic. An innate transpondor blasted anyone that was listening with death metal music and a small side attachment of the ship's identification.

Sitting in the captain's chair and ruffling his hair for what seemed like the fifth time was Jimmy Wild (http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b184/Upum/New%20Ships/Jimmy___Study_by_madcarrot.jpg). His head kept pounding, which seemed to further induce him to rub not only his hair, but his head as well. "Blast it Quince, but would you shut that gorram music up!?" Jimmy yelled behind him, down the hatch, and towards the engine room from where the music was emanating.

A huge figure of a man appeared in the bridge doorway. "Sorry boss, but you know I have to have that music going or else I can't concentrate."

"Well I can't concentrate!" despaired Jimmy.

"Ok boss," said Quince (http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b184/Upum/New%20Ships/Tetsedah_by_TUS.jpg). "I'll turn it down a few notches."

Jimmy turned back to his display and finished diverting some more of their ever draining power supply modules to shift to their drive engines. As soon as he finished that he brought up his ships "merchant list," the supposed legal papers stating all the trading goods his ship carried. Jimmy smiled maliciously at it and then brought up his real one. His cargo hold was carrying, besides some legal food stuffs and mechanical equipment, an extra two hundred illegally obtained Imperial E-12 blaster rifles, a few custom combat droids designed for VIP protection, and his pride of this trip: a full on hover tank that they stole from a few Nemoidians.

He was just about to start sending out a docking notice when the ship vibrated and nearly launched him out of his seat. It jolted a few more times and he looked up and down into the pilot's seat.

"What in the name of the 'Verse are you trying to do Cash? What was that?" he asked pointedly.

A beautiful and very exotic pair of silver eyes turned and stared at him. Cash (http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b184/Upum/New%20Ships/conceptart3.jpg), the female pilot of Jimmy's corvette, raised an eyebrow and shook her long blonde hair out. "Not my fault you didn't pay full on the last work job," she said emphatically.

"What do'ya mean didn't pay full? That bastard would have buried us in white bills until Emperor's Day," replied Jimmy, sounding hurt.

"Well, all I can say is that this landing is going to be interesting," Cash said.

"Define 'interesting' for me," Jimmy leaned forward.

"Oh God, oh God, we're all going to die?" she deadpanned.

"That's great," said Jimmy, rubbing his right, real hand over his face in exasperation. He picked up his comm bead and put it in his ear. After a few moments of fiddling with the comm channels and cutting off Quince's music he managed to get a clear signal to The Depot.

Hello Space Station Depot this is the captain of the corvette Wild Bill requesting docking permission. We'd like to stop and gas up, maybe make a few sales from our trading stock, perhaps get some R&R as well. Wild Bill out.

Jimmy turned the link off and sighed. He looked at the back of Cash's head. "Just keep us flying ok? Once we land you can go find a mechanic with half a good brain with cheap prices to fix up 'ole bessy."

Cash smiled brilliantly. "Shiny captain."

"Did I hear something about R&R?" came Quince's deep voice behind Jimmy.

"No," said Cash and Jimmy at the same time. "Not after what happened at Lycurgus."

"Ah, come on, you two are such party poopers. Its not my fault the girl I was with happened to have a boyfriend, and that he happened to be the station owner's son."

Inside the shop the place was almost filled with Teddy Bears. Some quite small to some huge ones, a couple were at least 2 metres tall. Each bear seemed to be different, one had a little napkin around his neck with a very dull knife and fork. Others looked like old farmers, or mothers or grandparents. There was even one that looked like it was a banker a "profit & loss" statement in one hand and a calculator in the other.

There was also a little scene set out as if the Teddy Bears were having a picnic. As for a sales assistant and register there was only a small podium in the middle of the room. Just moments from when Wolf entered the store a woman that looked in her late-sixties walked in. "Can I help you with anything today?"

"Find out about this ... Wild Bill."

"Doing a search now.... I've got it comming up as a Thrashian Corvette, a trading vessel. Apparently meant to be carry food-stuffs and mechanical equipment."

The five smaller ships, averaging in size of 250 meters docked at the various ports, leaving the larger capital ship to stay on the outside. It was decided on route that every ship would be divided into four groups, and that on group could go visit the station at a time while the other three stayed on the ships. Everyone was given a twenty-four hour period of leave before having the report back so the next group could have its fun. This included people on the Spacecurrent, which would shuttle its crew to and fro the station via transports.

Some of the first Sertians to step out into the shuttle were Soldier Carl and Soldier Bel - both being long time friends ever since the war twenty years ago. They waited on the docks a long with the few dozen other Sertians filtering in from their ship, waiting for someone to show them the right way to go. They were all mostly armored in standard spatial armor, except for a few engineers and pilots who came in the light variant, but other than that were completely unarmed. Rifles and even pistols left behind on the vessel. Of course, the soldiers did have the plasma swords embedded into their weapon's gauntlets, a standard feature of the design, but not a single one of them thought they'd even have to recall being armed on the vessel.

Star Snake, you have permission to dock at docking bay #13
Acknowledged Control, thank you and have a nice day.
The powerful engines on the smuggling vessel flared and the Star Snake began to move at an even pace towards docking bay thirteen. Unlike most of the other ships, it was untarnished by weapons fire, debris or general poor cosmetic maintenance, although this would probably change soon. Having landed contracts from two governments with a pay-out in the eight digits, the mercenaries could afford to make their ship look as good as the day they bought her. However, medical bills, payment for food, fuel, ammunition, rearmament and repairs, not to mention several million credits in back taxes, took a huge chunk out of their payment. Still, they were left with a nice piece of pocket change, payed out in installments, and they had just received their latest. Added to the cash they hoped to make with their cargo, it would set them up here for a nice, long vacation.
At least, that was the plan.

Settling easily into it's berth, the Star Snake's ramp lowered and two figures walked down with a large anti-gravity lift following them faithfully. Kartosh (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Samuel_Vimes.jpg) and Skyler (http://ionen.deviantart.com/art/Tanake-Trang-Jedi-52363021) were Xiscapians, kitsune, meaning that they were not human. Both sported rust-colored fox ears on the top of their respective heads, a large orange white-tipped tail, yellow eyes for Kartosh, orange for Skyler, and sharp, pointy teeth. Both smugglers/mercenaries enjoyed naturally heightened reflexes and agility (though at the cost of endurance) which helped them avoid Customs Patrols and gave them an edge in combat. Each was heavily armed, though their only visible weapons were their pistols and a katana sword for each, as was traditional for Xiscapians. Of course, this totally blew the "peaceful merchants" BS story out of the water, but no harm. As long as no one gave them any trouble, that was their story.

The A.I. automatically locking the ship behind them the male and female strode away, not expecting to be greeted, towards a place where they could find a buyer to unload their totally legal, not dangerous in any way and entirely gotten by safe, approved routes cargo.

Lvls 30-15 were where all the general shops and entertainments where and there was an elevator nearby that could take them past the first 15 Workshop lvls to where they wanted to go. Wild Bill

"Well...that was easy," said Jimmy, scratching his chin. He watched through the forward view ports as Cash slid his precious baby ship through the access port of docking station one-seven-three. The station itself was pretty interesting, not a design that Jimmy hadn't seen perhaps a little elsewhere, but unique all the same.

Inside the dock itself ground crewmen were prepping their gear and mechanical locking arms came forward to settled the Wild Bill into a neat stopped position. The turbos whined a bit as the main engine cut off and the repulsor lifts slowly toned down to a mere whistle. With a final jerk and audible click of metal on metal the ship was fully docked. Cash sighed and turned around in her full body, tight leather jumpsuit, which naturally garnered Jimmy's attention.

"Ok boss, I think I should be getting something right about now." She held out her hand with an innocent look on her face, her eyes shining a bit. She smiled sweetly as Jimmy blinked several times, trying to get his mind back on track.

"Eh?"

"Money. Now."

"What!?"

Cash lunged forward and put him in a powerful headlock. He flailed around and yelled. "Quince! Get over here and scrape this Amazon off of me!"

"Nah, I think you can handle her boss." The huge mechanic simply peaked his head inside the bridge door and grinned big.

While still holding him Cash fished about with her free hand and finally found Jimmy's wallet in his leather trench coat. Yelping with the feeling of victory she finally let go and pranced off the bridge with all the vigour and look of a capricious 10-year old schoolgirl who'd just gotten away with getting a boy in trouble with the teacher. Jimmy slumped into his chair and let his head fall in defeat. Quince strained his ear to hear mumbled words like "all gone" and "my money" but couldn't make out much more.

"Yo boss, just so you know, we've already got a visitor downstairs," said Quince.

The corvettes loading ramp came down and Cash rolled on down it with the same bubbling energy, Jimmy's wallet clutched protectively in her hands. Besides her tight, leather jumpsuit she also wore a small vest jacket and a holster belt around her waist with a blaster snapped shut in it. She danced past the man who stood waiting at the front of the ramp.

Jimmy and Quince appeared moments later, Quince smiling and Jimmy still slightly miffed about his wallet. But he perked up almost instantly when he spotted the gentleman at the end of the down ramp. Jimmy smiled with a professional salesman's look and gracefully descended.

"Hello, hello how do you do sir? My name is Jim Wild, but you can call me Jimmy. Can I help you?" he asked.

"Nice to meet you too," the man said. "The name's Snake."

"Hmmm..." Carl was the first one to reach the holomap from the two diverging groups of Sertians, and gave the upper fifteen levels the most scrutiny, "Hey Bel, what if they have a martial arts tournament or something we could enter and earn some spending money? You know, in case they don't take Zerats here?"

The slightly older, and surprisingly taller, female blinked and looked at the map as well, "I don't think they'd have something like that, this place seems more like a shopping district than an entertainment station. Besides, I doubt we'd be able to use plasma blades in a friendly competition, and if you paid attention in close ranged combat training you'd know our fighting style is revolved around those?"

"Haha, maybe you! But I had lessons as a kid from a Drag'lock, remember?" unfortunately it was true. Carl was stupid enough to convince the gigantic draconid race to teach him how to fight as a kid, and after many years of broken bones, adapting an over powering fighting style to his small frame, and getting one nasty scare across his arm from where they had to reattach his arm from a blade accident, he dropped his lessons - but he still practiced and meshed it with the Sertian Wrist-Blade combat style.

"Computer, or map, or whatever, is there any combat or melee tournaments on station?" Carl would ask the computer, hoping that it responded to voice commands.

Meanwhile Sertians and other species at the other computer seemed more interested with finding any holotheatres or perhaps data-files about stories from another culture, or cultures.

Snake looked at Cash as she danced down the gangplank, and the turned back his attention back to Jim and Quince as they followed after her.

"They call me Snake.. And I can tell that your men of business. The question isn't what you can do for me, but what I can do for you." It was tacky and dodgy but that was exactly type of character Snake was, one of those shoddy car salesman-type.

Exactly the type of person that would know how to deal with the illicit nature of such items.

Ishda stepped out of his ship. He looked rugged and worn down, unshaven even. But he still walked proudly and with grate authority, helped by the deep scar from his chin down under his suit onto his chest. But it was clear by the slight twitch and the fiddling of his fingers that he was a very stressed man. This only emphasised the point that he was not a man to piss off .

“ahh, I see well we can’t have you run our diagnostics, sorry, but I will give you information on how to make a replicator as soon as we get one of them we can finish the repairs our self’s, it just may take a while”

Ishda pulled out his own PDA and pressed a few buttons

“AGHHhhh!, hold on a second” Ishda showed Roger the screen it was all a sky blue “ill have to reboot it. I fell on it as we were taking all this damage” Ishda pounded it with his fist a few times. Continued to press a few buttons “ahh there we go Replicator plans. You wouldn’t happen to have any PDAs for sale here? I'll a need a new one before we get a new replicator"

"Welcome to The Depot, I'm your Customer Services Facilitator, Jason. What can I do for you two gentlemen this day?"
Gentlemen?
Their smiles were bemused but as Skyler stepped forward fully out of the shadow of the Star Snake into the light, Kartosh grabbed her arm, muttering in a quick stream of some other language. The female kitsune gave something almost like a snarl before composing herself appropriatly. Her short blue hair waved as she stepped back abruptly, giving Jason an almost predatory grin, exposing her sharp teeth. If it had not been evident to him before, the presence of her breasts beneth her shirt and vest and the tight-fitting black pants should make it clear her gender.

Moving in front of her, the older male kitsune leaned down and murmured into the Customer Services Facilitator. "We need photon torpedos, concussion missiles, power cells for a type 2 Aykrid Repeating Turret and two energy crystals, size eight. Also, if you can direct us to one Snake, we would be most apprechiative..."
He discreetly slipped the man a twenty-five credit note and stepped back, face mild as the anti-grav lift pulled up behind them.

The map did respond after a short delay, there appeared on the left of the map a short list. There were a number of arenas for "practice". There was fight Den where the only rule was no weapons allowed. Another 3 had sparring matches using rules of some of the more popular martial arts. None of them the style that he learnt from the Drag'locks

There were a number of on-demand theartres that had a large repetoire of movies that were available, some of these theartres allowed people to participate in a "showing" to emulate the effect of enjoying a movie together with freinds. As well as pure entertainment such as various commedies, action, thrillers, horros as well as various documentaries.

*snip*

"That's perfectly understandable, I know exactly the places that you need, There's a place called Binary, They'll have exactly what you need for the PDA... As for the replicator, what size are we talking about?"

"yur i need two teddy bears to give to twins when their mother gives brith to them " Wolf said to her

"Well, you probably be wanting something that is different, but still in the same theme... Hmmm..." She started looking over the collection before two bears stuck out.

"How about these two?" She pulled out two small bears, They were basically the same apart from the colour of the fur, one was a dark brown and the other one was a much light brown one. They both where quite cuddly and soft. Even the eyes which had a sort of flexible soft plastic that interwove itself inside the bear with practically no chance that the shiny eyes would come loose and cause a choking hazard.

*snip*

"My apologies, it was a bad attempt at humour, Though perhaps I can make it upto you." he dipped into his pocket and produced a card "Please accept this Favoured Customer card. Just produce the card and it will grant you discounts at our stores. The card is non-transferable nor redeemable for cash."

He handed over the card before typing a few things in his PDA before directing them to G's Munitions, on level 42. "They will have everything you need there. " As for this individual, I'm sure I can arrange something if you so wish.

Skyler didn't think much of the mans so-called humor, but she stayed quiet. Kartosh pocketed the card and listened carefully.
"They will have everything you need there. As for this individual, I'm sure I can arrange something if you so wish."
"Please have him meet us in the Starlight lounge to conduct business in twenty minutes. Tell him dinner is on us." Kartosh nodded. "Thanks, and see ya around." He left with Skyler and the anti-grav lift in tow, up to deck 42. The lift was large and bulky, so he made an arrangement for one of the many hotels, located on deck 23, to put it in the suite they bought for the week. No need to have it following them around the whole time, especially where it could get lost or stolen.

Skyler waited outside as Kartosh entered the store. Going to what seemed to be the front counter, he cocked his head at the being across from him. "You sell weapons." It wasn't a question.

Jimmy stared at the man for a moment, trying to figure out if the man was either an undercover port authority officer trying to tag him or just an extremely upfront, blunt black market dealer. Deciding that he looked too twisted to be an undercover mouse Jimmy pinged him as the latter. Jimmy smiled and held out his hand, shaking Snake's.

"Well if you're the middle-man whom I might be looking for, I've some interesting cargo that could be sold for some high class individuals or perhaps some less scrupulous ones," smiled Jimmy. Quince looked around the docking bay. It was a normal one, nothing special, but his nose was twitching like crazy.

He could smell women.

"Hey boss do you think-."

"Yes, fine," Jimmy interrupted with a sigh. "Just be sure to be back in two hours and if you run into Cash make sure she hasn't spent all my dough."

"Aye, aye captain," laughed Quince. He lumbered away from the pair and made his way further into the station. Literally following his nose.

"Alright... If they don't take zerats though I'm selling you off as a love slave."

"You do want to keep your hands, right? Remember the last time we sparred Carl?"

"Only with ion-swords..."

Meanwhile a small group of five Sertians were a little puzzled by the first type of theater and decided to go visit it, while a majority of the rest decided they were in for a good laugh. It was also surprising, despite the fact that their armor was composed heavily of camoflauged colored plates they showed very little mobility problems or discomfort, and their wrists seemed quite articulate as well. Anyway, the Sertians split up, heading to different theaters or stores.

Back on the Spacecurrent the commander was preparing to leave the ship, "I'm going to go look for an Energy Shield generator or some sort... We don't have that kind of technology, so the Empire might like having an example to reverse engineer, and perhaps fuse with our plasma shields."

The Sertians that went to the thearte would find a vast collection of movies from latest blockbusters to old classics to ancient movies that had been transfered from being 2D to having the latest thearte sound and visual 3D clarity.

There was a little headset that when after they had selected a movie would take them into a little virtual world, everyone that had selected the same movie would appear to be in the same virtual thearte, once everyone had indicated that they were ready to continue the movie would start, before that a variaty of various trailers would be playing.

--

The two of them would find that all stores on the station would take basically any known currency. Not only that but they would give them the price in that currency as soon as it was known. In this case 50 Zerats roughly equivalent to 20 standard dollars ((OOC: According to NSTracker))

---

The commander would find alot of vary shields from Ion shields, plasma sheilds, generic energy shields to a very rare absorbtion matrix that basically eats any matter that comes in contact with it.

((OOC: These ships arnt in my factbook. but they will be in time. I wont be able to reply often but i will try an keep it going :3 No, these ships are nothing like my merc fleet.))

4 large vessels seemed to manifest themselves from dust near the station. Their hulls were a sleek make. Sweeping shaped elegantly covering outcroppings of guns. The center ship was near two kilometers long. The Two ships flanking it close to one KM a piece. Their design looked similar to giant fin less fish. No message was sent to the station.

Ion beams opened up from teh center ship. Eight massive blue beams arced across the expanse between in less than a second. An instant afterwards hundreds of other turrets across the three ships opened up. Firing high calibur High frac-C rounds for ships docked with the station. The lead ship bearing six main turrets that had smoothly slipped from behind protective armor. each turret bearing three massive barrels. Each barrel firing in succession to maintain a constant assault.

The whole scene unfolded in a matter of seconds. The eight superheavy ion beams would stay focused, sustaining their beams on the station. Aiming to disable it. Each ship began to broadcast static across all com frequencies, including subspace and entanglement frequencies. The jamming field eminated from all three ships at the same time.

A single message transmitted with the static. Voice only. "Surrender immediatly and unconditionally."

"Yes..." A wry grin passed over his face, "and get meeting room #1093 ready, it's going to have some guests."

"Attention Please; The Depot is currently under threat from hostile forces, all civilian and non-military personnel are to evacuate immediately. The message was calm, the soothing voice was a subtle way of helping people not panic, however there was always an undertone that any help would be greatly appreciated.

In one of the ships docking bay's a small shuttle was there, a small female humanoid robot, rolled up the gang plank and inside, it's engine's flared and flew out of the docking bay. Skyler grabbed Kartosh's hand who grabbed a handy beam on the bulkhead to keep them from sliding across the deck to the far wall. Kartosh's wrist communicator began to beep a tiny klaxon as the Star Snake's semi-sentient A.I. reported the ship under attack. Even as Kartosh watched though the ship's exterior cameras a number of railgun bullets pounded the activated shields of the vessel. Being of Xiscapian modification, the shields shrugged off the direct projectile assault with little problem, the rounds ricocheting either back out into space, rebounding off other ships or digging holes into the hanger bulkheads. "Fuck!" Kartosh growled as the deck tilted alarmingly again, dislodging both kitsune mercenaries and sending them sliding on their tails down the hall. There was another rumble and the floor righted itself, allowing the Xiscapians to scramble up and take off down the corridor. "We need to get to the ship!" Skyler cried. Kartosh shook his head, sprinting in the opposite direction at a fork in the halls. "Our hard-earned loot is still here, goddamn it, I'm staying!" Skyler looked at the back of her partner's head in exasperation. "The station is under attack!" she screamed over the din as more fire poured into the side of the Depot, alarms went off and visitors and denizens of the station ran by. "By pirates!" Kartosh shot back. "The defenses should handle them! If not, I'm not leaving without our cargo!"

The three ships kept their position. A dozen frigates materialized the same way around the station. Appearing to form from space dust. Their sleek forms appearing in with the other ships as the frigates began to launch boarding pods in every direction. In each pod was no less than twenty 'pirates' clad in full body light power armor. Black in color and wielding heavy plasma assault rifles.

The three ships stopped their barrage for the moment as a small group of shuttles launched from the lead ship. Numbering ten in all. All the ships bore no markings and a bright yellow and olive green color scheme. The lead ship brought up an FTLI field, creating a sensor ghost of a gravity well that would trip most FTL subsystems into thinking there was something on the level of a singularity in the area.

"So, there ignoring Rosie... alright. Enable the PD...."

The station's major defenses seemed to be offline, or at least weren't firing, however when the shuttles were within 1 kilometer, various sections of the station opens up, the sections were very tiny but they were in their own way very deadly.

They were what was known a c-fracs, small chunks fired at extremely high velocity expressible as a fraction of c, the universal constant that is the speed of light. 100 of these in total fired at the shuttles, partly for effect but also to provide a density of fire in an attempt to blow the shuttles to shreds.

Meanwhile the station itself started it's own jamming methodology. Anyone trying to send or receive communications that didn't use direct wormhole technology would find that communications either just didn't work or that they received a whole range of static. This would apply soon enough for all communications within the station itself, everything that wasn't hard-wired.

The shuttles seemed to break apart, chunks still drifting in the general direction of the station. The frigates made a rather drastic move, picking out the largest ships present and accelerasting to ramming speeds, aiming plow shaped bows at the various ships. Two frigates singling out the stationj. The frigates and the capital ships once again opened up with heavy ion cannons. Attempting to immobilize or at the least stall any countermeasures.

The dreadnought singled out the stations sensor array's and com array's, firing volley's of high calibur C-frac rounds from turrets clustered along its body.
