The Foreign and Colonial Office, the main office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, invites all nations to begin opening embassies within Makaar.

Please note that, in addition to your security, Makaarian police officers will provide a guard at the entrance to your embassy.

Laws affecting Embassies:

Under the Diplomacy and Relations Act 2004, the Embassy of a foreign nation on Makaarian soil is considered the sovereign property of that nation, and therefore is to be considered inviolable by Makaarian or other government agents while it is an embassy.
All nations are reminded that Makaar is a signatory of no treaties as to the rights of diplomats or embassies. Therefore, diplomatic immunity is extended to members of the diplomatic staff only, and as a courtesy. Members of support staff and family members are not immune from prosecution under Makaarian law. Please do not abuse diplomatic immunity.
The Makaarian government reserves the right to declare any member of the diplomatic, support or unconnected civilian staff persona non gratis at any time and for any reason (or lack of reason). That person must leave Makaarian territory within 72 hours. If, after 72 hours, they remain inside the embassy, then their diplomatic visa will be cancelled and, as soon as they leave the embassy grounds they will be liable to prosecution for entering Makaarian territory without permission.
Please mark any baggage to be sent to the embassy in a bright blue bag with "DIPLOMATIC CARGO" displayed clearly in Makaarian on the bag. Please do not mark it with your national flag. This bag will not be searched under any circumstances by Makaarian government officials, and the courier will be allowed to pass freely from his port of entry to the embassy.
Security personnel may NOT carry their weapons outside of the embassy grounds without prior permission and a Diplomatic Firearms Licence from the Makaarian government. Makaarian gun control laws are extremely strict and the security personnel will be commiting an offence if they are carrying firearms outside of the embassy grounds without these documents. Your security personnel do not have diplomatic immunity.

Central Hamblegroun Diplomacy Office provides office space for those missions which intend to provide only simple consular duties for its citizens. An underground car park provides space for vehicles.

Embassy Row

Embassy Row is the location for smaller diplomatic missions, an ideal place if your embassy will comprise only offices and consular services. There are excellent transport links, and your embassy will be located close to the Houses of Parliament, Hamblegroun Palace, and the Foreign and Colonial Office headquarters. A dedicated underground car park provides transport for diplomatic vehicles.

Entley Town

Entley Town is a small community in the Hamblegroun suburbs. Your embassy will be a large building capable of supporting the diplomats and some staff, suitable for much larger missions to Makaar. Your embassy grounds will have space for your own vehicles.
