Orbath

President James Andrews paced his office. He had drawn his rather expensive thick leather curtains back which meant the room drew all of its light from well situated lamps which hung along the walls atop the bookcases and cabinets that covered the walls. His office had become much nicer than when he first moved in, perhaps because he had stimulated the economy so much that he could afford to buy expensive furniture or perhaps because he needed his office livable, after all, he spent much of his first five years in office here, and, if the elections went his way, he would be spending another five.
He studied a map which he had affixed to a now bare patch of wall. He had been forced to remove a painting of a former President to make room. The map was of NU and was covered in a variety of multi colored tacks. A royal blue one was stuck in the area that was Orbath, a slightly less bright blue was stuck in Yanitaria, an even slightly less bright blue was stuck in Stoklomolvi, House of Boothby, Norskia, Aissur, Beatus, Kabavian and Anselmus. The brightness of the blue dictated the how close of an ally a nation was too Orbath. The less bright the blue, the less close of an ally, but an ally none the less.
He grabbed several green tacks off of his desk, surveying the map one last time before pushing them into the laminated paper and into several other nations on the map. These were nations with which he had not interacted with or at the very least, hardly interacted with at all.
Andrews saw himself as a friendly person and diplomacy and strengthening relations was one of his favorite tasks. After all, he'd learned that it payed off to have friends in high, and even low places. I mean just look at the difference between the Orbath of today and the isolated Orbath of years ago. It didn't pay to be cut off from the world.
He walked to his desk, opened his laptop and began typing...
Official Government Message
To: Gesford, Nosoria, Greal, San Castello, New Umberland, Corbournne
Greetings from the People's Republic of Orbath, I hope this message has reached you in good health. I would like to invite all of you to attend a meeting inside of my borders, Orbath City to be exact, to hopefully strengthen ties between Orbath and your nations. I hope that as region mates, we can hopefully become good friends, maybe even close allies.
I welcome world leaders and should they be unavailable, an appropriate representative as well as no more than four other staff members and a security detail of no more than eight. Once at the conference I will allow no more than two security ''agents'' within the building. I can assure you will be well protected by Orbathian soldiers and Orbath is a very, very safe nation to begin with.
It is my hope that we can discuss trade, economics, militaries, world issues and anything else you may wish to discuss with me. I look forward to meeting you all!
Signed, President James Andrews, President of Orbath, His Excellency the Count of Throppe.
