Breaking news!! The small nation of Ivangarrd detonated its first nuclear device today, shocking UN officials. UN inspectors had determined that the country was not technologically advanced enough, and lacked the nessicary materials to manufacture such a device. UN delegates requested that inspectors go on site to assertain the situation, but Ivangarrd Ministry of Defense released a statement that "any foreign officials caught attempting to enter the country will be shot on sight."

The blast, measured at 6.7 megatons, took place today, at 2:47 p.m. The device has been determined that it was placed on a small, un-named island 67 miles offshore the Ivangarrd coast. While the blast itself was rather unremarkable, apart from the surprise it took the world by, the shocking part is the circumstances under which it was detonated. Satellite imaging confirmed that several hours before the device was detonated, several hundred condemned prisioners from the Ivangarrd Maximum security prision were transported to the island, and abandoned there. It is believed that all prisioners were killed in the blast, or the subsequent shockwave. Experts believe the prisioners were put there to provide first hand data on how the body reacts to a nuclear detonation.

Greetings fellow leader, and good day to you. I believe we may have a proposition for you. We have recently heard of your little 'test' and its uproar wit h the WA (new UN). Volzgrad too has tested nukes in the past and we know the consequences even a test has. In order to stop a world uproar, I will send the 27th Biohazard Unit along with the 6th fleet to blockade the island and your nation from anybody too 'inquisitive'. Hopefully this situation will die down, but if it comes to it, then Volzgrad will defend your sovereign borders.

Do not believe that we are another of your insignificant nations that will sit up and beg for you. We are a proud, and independant country. We shall do as we wish, and no one shall be allowed to intervene. To do so, would bring our full and unrelenting wrath. The president was shocked when he heard of this nation saying that it had tested a nuclear device. This was obviously complete bullshit made up in order to scare other nations. Uiri did have a minor array of nuclear weapons, mostly missile warheads but its main WMDs were cyanide and small pox. Not many knew of these WMDs and only a slim, slim fraction knew of the small pox. The president showed this 'news story' to the Prime Minister - just for kicks. It was then that the president decided to find out the political structure of this tiny country.

Your nuclear tests are utter bullshit and we, the Uir people, demand to know how your government works. Are you a dictatorship? Do you have a legislature?

The people of Gwaine are unsurprised by the nation of Ivangarrad's test of nuclear weapons. Though our nation remains neutral on the issue of nuclear weapons, the way the weapon was used was against any and all human rights. No matter how heinous the crime, no human deserves his body to be mutilated by a blast of that strength. We hope these rumors of the prisoners is just a rumor.

We will continue to watch your nation until more details either from WA members or from your country are released before we take an official stance.

The Shazbotdom Empire finds this rather funny A nation of 6 Million, with a Defence Budget of $978,765,120.00 could afford a Nuke. It takes Billions of Dollars to be able to afford One Nuke. If you did detonate a Nuke, it would have put your nation into a terrible Depression that would take decades to come out of.

OOC: I think the OP is trying to play up the human rights part here. And the nuke part was ill thought out.
I actually have an idea how this would work but it would require another country to be saying "yes I did this". however it gives me an idea as I see a chance to get some RP done.

If all you want is international drama, pop me a telegram in game, I have an idea to salvage this into something more workable. We'll have a chat and if I think we can work it, and that's what you want, I'm happy to give it a go.
