Isla de Fuego was one Island that was well named. It was spanish for "Island of Fire. The Island it self was in fact a Very large Volcano the whole island was.

7,000 miles in area, This was large and have been sleeping since 1280 BC. most thought it would never become Active again.

Then Fishermen started saying that all Whales, Dolphins, Fish, even Seals wer disappering from the area.

In the City of Misato, around 5:00 AM, a 3.9 Earthquake struck. while no building were Damaged and no lives lost. It was unsettleing, since The Island of Misato was near Isla de Fuego.

Montaña de Fuego was wakeing up.

On a thundery night, Maria awoke to check in on her children. She had a son about 16 and a daughter 7. "Hey, what are you two doing up? Storm keeping you up?"

"No." Her daughter Alejandra said. "We felt an earth quake."

"A quake?"

"Yeah I felt it too." Roberto said.

"I didn't feel it. You sure it's not just the thunder?"

"No, it was a quake!"

"Ale, it's okay, you probably just had a dream."

"But why did I feel it?" Roberto asked

"Ale was probably just acting out her dream. She shook the bed. Now to sleep both of you. It should be sunny tomorrow." She kissed them both.

Shai, The Ryou Black Islands; 700 Miles from Isla de Fuego.

"So, heard about that quake near Misato?" Kanna said to Grand General Asuka. "Yes I did, seems lie it was near Isla de Fuego." Asuka said. "I don't like it," Kanna said, "The Nekos are scared of something and they don't even know what they are afraid of."

all of Shai was talking about the Qauke at Misato. In fact, it was the news in The Islands.

No one liked what was happening, not even The Imperial Government. with Isabella out of town, Miss Khan was in charge and she knew something near that island was up.

Maria and her children worked through the day. Cleaning up around the house mostly from the storm. "Hey Roberto." Said a young pretty girl.

"Marah...Hey."

"Now mama said I was dreaming, but I swear I felt an earthquake."

"Yeah I felt one too. So did Alejandra. I knew we weren't dreaming."

"Wow, I don't remember ever having an earth quake. You don't think they are going to get worse do you?"

"I don't know. I guess they happen and then they're gone."

"Not like typhoons I guess."

"I guess."

The earth began to shake again. "Wow, what was that!?"

"Ma!"

"I felt it! Maybe we did have one this morning."

Two days since the quake, more things were happening. Isla de Fuego's bird life was dropping dead. most were leaveing The area near The island.

In Shai, Tremors from 1.0 to 1.1 weer felt. these were no trouble. but on Isla de Fuego Tremors rangeing from 2.0 to 6.7 were happening. The Volcano Alert Center in Shai soon posted a Warning that the Island might start up, but it might be a few ash clouds and lava flows, no danger to anyone, since Isla de Fuego was uninhabited.

OOC: just to let all of you know, Spanish is one of The Languages of the islands, not The main one.

"Recent seismic activity around a Volcano called 'Isla De Fuego'(Island of Fire) in the Ryou Black island-chain indicates that the Volcano remains active. Given the recent tremor indications, along with the fact that animals are fleeing the island(although the so-called 'animal premonition' is inherently unreliable due to inconsistancies in the past), we predict that there is a major upcoming eruption due over the next few days to weeks."

The memo was filed away and never reached the desk of anybody important...

Rosario had been a farmer on the Island of Misato for a long time and as with any other day his rose before the sun, got dressed and headed to get water. He headed down the dirt path road with his mule, Socorro, for about a quarter of a mile and unloaded his water jugs. He had just gotten the bucket down in the well for the day's water when his old legs felt a tremble.

He wavered back and forth and held on to the pole of well. "Dios mio!" he said and pulled up the bucket. In it was crystal clear water, filled his jugs and hurried back home. When he arrived his wife Adelina was waiting at the door for him. "Did you feel that? what was it?" she asked

Rosario told her to calm herself and go back to sleep. They kissed and he gave her the water jugs. The he headed towards the fields to tend to his grain.

Isla de Fuego.

The island was soon showing signs of something starting up when it started. Ash Clouds started up from the Island. The Hills, which were in fact mini-volcanos were sending out ash and lava, the trees started burning in fire.

It was wakeing up.

It was the early morning still some of the dew had not yet burned off of the few grizzled scrub trees that grew in yard. Adelina was baking bread at the ornero for the night's supper. Her husband Rosario was away in the fields tending to the summer wheat, she was alone kneading dough by the kiln. The day was calm, and she could hear the waves of the ocean hurling themselves on to the cliffs about a quarter of a mile from their house. She sat that and a racind smell crossed her nose.

It was like that of eggs that had become rotten. She covered her nose and searched for the source of this foul stench. She turned to face a sight that chilled her bones. Where normally was the Isla de Fuego was an ashy mist and shooting above it like a plume rose a thick stream of ash. It was rising higher and higher in the sky towards the sun. She was taken in by it's beauty and horrid stench at once. She finished with her bread making, covered her nose with a wet rag, and then began to feed the chickens. What a fine story she would have to tell her husband tonight!

the Next Hour, The Volcano didn't do much. But soon it started to begin the disaster that will start.

Shai, The Ryou Black Islands.

"I am telling you, I am not likeing what is happening." Said General Naya. Her, Asuka and Kanna were in Ichiban Castle, which was built to withstand 10.5 Earthquakes (Just in case one happened.) it was also on a hill that was 600 feet high.

"It is just you, Naya," Kanna said, The Pirate took a drink of her rum. "I don't think that Island will blow like Krakatoa." "It Might," Asuka said, "Volcanoes are un-" she was soon interupted by a shakeing that was starting.

It was 10.1 and It was shakeing Shai to bits. Most of The new Skyscrapers and the Imperial Palace were built to withstand Earthquakes and Typhoons, even 10.5 quakes. but They were shakeing more, windows were breaking.

In Misato, it was hell on earth, Buildngs fell, People died, the waters shook also. Isla de Fuego continued to blast out lava and Ash........then it stopped.

no sound, no shakeing.

back in Shai.

"what is happenings?" asked Premeir Khan, who was also at Ichiban Castle. "I like to know." Asuka said.

Then It Hit

KABOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

all four, who were outside, were knocked off theri Feet.

Misato was soon Blasted with heat, over 2,000 Degrees F Houses and People burned to death as Isla de Fuego soon BLEW UP! Misato was burnt then a wall of water hit.

The Supervolcano has destroyed it self. the Force of The blast was like that of 20,000 Hiroshima Bombs The shockwave hit Shai, Blasting Skyscrapers down and knocking peopl off their feet.

On Ichiban Hill, the Four got up and soon saw a sight that scared them.

a Ash Cloud, Going up over 60,000 Feet into the sky and spreading out. all the fair Weather and Storm Clouds near the islands were gone, blown away by The Blast wave.

Then Khan soon saw something that scared her "LOOK!" She pointed.

The Sea near Shai backed off, showing the Sea Floor near The Harbor, Ships that were in the water were not on sea floor.

Then it came

a Wall of Water, 500 feet high roared in..........a MEGATSUNAMI!

It hit Shai fast, People ran, butthey were cought in the wave. Isla de Fuego had blown up, all the way down to it's base. and now a Megatsunami was it's efect.

Soon the ash cloud blocked out the sun.

TSUNAMI WARNING

"What was that?" A naval officer said.

They took a look at the fax. "Holy...Close the flood gates now!"

They scrambled to shut the gates. It would provide adequate but not full protection. They sounded off the Tsunami Sirens. People were getting ready to flee. At worst with the gates shut the water would be like a flood during a storm.

The Wabe was worse in The Ryou Black Islands. Most of The islands were low laying, only a few had hills or mountains.

The City of Zyu was hit hard, not tall Buildings, it was Tsunami bait as the People ran up Mount Nisano, only 4,000 made it up when the Megatsunami hit, Destroying Zyu.

Shalbalisyu, Being a Floating City was rocked as the wave passed underwater. but three of The lare Floating Cities, Lakpai, Gasyu and Kapai were Smashed into the island of Dasi, Destroying them.

The Large Island-City of Rattaria was the worst Hit, no Hill, all City. the Megatsunami hit Hard, Terror was all The people felt as The Island was soon under water.

and The Wave Continued on, Flooding all Low laying Islands.

In what used to be The Capital of a Mighty Empire, Four people watched a red glow, were Isla de Fuego was. Kanna threw up her rum at the sight of Shai, Now destroyed.

Midnight at Noon as the Ash cloud spread over The islands.

Lightning Filled the Dark skies, Red Lightning. The Ash filled skies were the sign of what had happened to The center of a Great Empire. The Supervolcano that was Isla de Fuego was now mostly in the air, falling from it as Lava Bombs or Ash. The Island had been totaly Destroyed, and Most of The Ryou Black Islands were now flooded with Seawater.

This was a Disaster never even known in the Islands. Sure the islands had Volcanic Eruptions from Mount Terror, a Small Island 600 Miles from The island of Shai. but this was a Eruption never seen in The Region for over 50,000 Years.

The Island nation as mostly in Ruins.
