Empress Gives Birth to a Son!

Celebrations have begun throughout Roma V to celebrate the first born son and only child of Emperor Quaeus and his wife. The boy, named Primus Quaeus, was born at approximately 2:36 AM after hours of labor. However with the birth of his son the Senate are curious as to see if he will eventually pass his position onto his son or begin elections. However, these questions don't seem to phase the Emperor. Eye witnesses claim seeing him leave the hospital with his wife and son with a huge smile on his face. "Hey couldn't stop staring at it," said a woman who witnessed the couple and their newborn leave. A public announcement from the Emperor on the birth of his son was not released until 10:32 AM when the Emperor held a press conference over the success of the peace talks with The Ryou Black Islands and was asked by a reporter about the existence of his child. "We share the Emperor's joy in the birth of his new son. It signals how far his rule has come and we look back on its past and can't believe how much time has passed," said a man who was holding a large party at his home to celebrate the child's birth.

The Czar is always pleased to hear of the birth of a future monarch. Please accept our congratulations and a decorative Corinthian shield plated in gold, in the old hoplite fashion. The shield signifies that the boy will one day be charged with the defense of your country. Again, congratulations on the birth of your heir.

Empress Fujiko of the Neo Kirisuban Space Federation had asked me to pass on her best wishes to Emperor Quaeus and his wife following the birth of the son Prince Primus.

Following the usual Kirisuban traditions please find enclosed with the letter the gift of a katana in a red scabbard and with black and red binding.

This is the traditional gift given to an Imperial Prince or Princess back home on the day of their birth as a reminder of the duties of statehood and the need to be there to lead the nation.

The blade is live by the way.

Ambassador Sakura Yamamoto (Miss)
Head of the Neo Kirisuban WA team.

Personal Thanks

I would like to thank you all for your wonderful gifts and congratulations on the birth of my son, Primus. While I would not dare put such heavy, sharp weaponry in his presence at his age of curiosity I will be sure to gift them to him when he has a better understanding of how to hold a weapon that demands respect and honor from all whom possess it.

Yes, some day my boy will defend our people and country. However, I have a few more years left in me before I must either chose my son, or elections.

Again, I would like to give you all my heartfelt thanks for your kind words and hope that some day my son will find the friendship in your nations that I have.

Roma Victor,
Emperor Quaeus
