Sasha, Greal

Tens of thousands of furries died that night, being burned to death or stabbed. A hundred furries did try to fight it out by using knives stolen from a kitchen, but they were killed by automatic rifles. Greal troops were based around the capital, and the DEFCON alert was up to one. A week ago, only 10 percent of the population wanted the furries gone, now it was 65 percent, and increasing.

General Will Riddle sent a encrypted message to the Cazelians saying that he wanted to talk about the situation.

"Mr. President, the Furry Holocaust caused the death of an estimated into the tens of thousands. Our soldiers managed some crowd control, and to rescue a few hundred at the embassies, but overall it was a major failure."

"Damn, how the hell are we failing at this, bad enough the people are protesting support in TAP, but now they are going to want us to cut off from Greal for this incident."

"Very well Mr. Presidnet, what shall we do?"

"I will send out a statement soon."

Embassy Avenue

Greal troops were ordered to close down the embassy roads, after orders came through that the diplomats may be harmed by the protesters, like the Mokan incident of last year. Hundreds of tanks patrolled the streets, big Nakils drove through the streets, watching for any intruders.

The young soldier deafened the radio with his chest and turned to the leader
"HQ has denied us air support, what should we do?" He asked
"We set up defenses and cut them off. If we lose one part of the line, we fall back a few hundred feet and hold the perimeter. We will continue the action until we reach that skyscraper in the center of our perimeter, and wait there for chopper evac. HQ won't leave us behind" He said
"So I should notify the troops?"
"Yes Corporal, those are your orders"

Behind the lines of soldiers armed with riot gear was another line with AM-07s with bean bags, them a large vehicle was opening up, it was a Silent Guardian microwave system for crowd control. If the crowd wouldn't listen to reason, then no doubt pain would have to be used. Sadly, it was the last resort. The last thing they wanted was more Neko deaths.

Will Riddle entered a house and he went into a room, which had a video screen. He pressed some buttons on his laptop and sent a message to James Hogart saying that he was ready for the "conference".

Hogart sat in his wheelchair, wearing a black suit with a red tie, which unintentionally made him look like Ronald Reagan.
"Will, It's nice to hear from you again. I need to know what's been happening to your government lately, it seems like there's going to be a civil war"

As a man raced up with Glocks to soldiers fired bean bag rounds into his chest. The Mokan's flak vest caught most of the rounds but a soldier took on in the leg.

This Ironheart division was one of the ones sent to Sasha during the Red Skull uprising, the soldiers were far to familiar with the city layout and plans on how to take it quickly, which is partially why they were stationed here at the permanent Mokan base. Ironically enough it was sent to Sasha because it was part of the peace keeping operations after the incident involving a down plane. These soldiers had been shot at by Grealites over the years countless times.

The person fell down, but then more of the crowd suddenly appeared. They were armed to the teeth and fired their shot guns at the Mokans

the soldiers with sheilds and batons formed a front line protecting the wounded as the medics loaded them up. The shields were designed to stop anything up to a .45 caliber bullet. So shot guns at far off were hard hitting, but not life threating. Between the large shields the next line fired non-lethal rounds, however the next clips would be lethal if they fired all bean bags. However the key was the SILENT GUARDIAN Microwave Protection system. Mounted on top of a Ironheart to give it the height to get over the defensive line the microwave warmed up and fired non-lethal Microwaves at the charging crowed. After a few seconds their skin would feel like it was on fire, this combined with the firing would hopefully keep them off.

the protesters stormed into the former Cazelian embassy, and fired their guns from there, they were using assault rifles and pistols. One of them fired a RPG at one of the Mokans and at the Mircowave machine.

The crowd of people continued firing, but then a new enemy approached, a convoy of Greal panther helicopters. The Panthers blasted apart the emabssy with its massive missiles and machine guns, protesters were running for their lives back into Sasha.

A Greal major landed onto the street, then he approached the Mokans

"Anyone in charge here?" asked the major

"Captain Ortega, D Company, we were sent out here to quell the riot and protect the embassies. Division Colonel Pancho Chavez is in the Mokan embassy working on the grand plan. Who are you?"

As of now he was setting up the artillery in Fort Mokan to be ready to fire on the city if anyone called it in. The orders hadn't gone down the line just yet that artillery support was available, but in a few minutes it would be.

The Division colonel saw the Greal Major walk in and continued with the topic, at the end of the call he notified the general that a Greal Major walked in and he was going to see what they wanted and call back as soon as the meeting was over. He hung up the phone and looked pissed at the major in front of him, from what he was understanding the Greal army was still deploying, while the Greal police were doing shit. His beret of off center and his JadG pistol was still at his side, but unhooked and ready to draw. On the table was a map of Sasha and the surrounding country, with Mokan, Cazelian and Grealite positions and bases.

"Welcome Major, What are you here for?"

Approaching Womer Airbase...

The 64th Strategic Bomber Regiment consisted of 48 SB-04 Strategic Bombers and 2 E-800 Electronic Warfare & Air Control System(EWACS) aircraft. Each bomber was lugging a full load of 500 pound bombs, for a total of 44 bombs per aircraft. This was the bomber strike force that Red Tide had asked to send too Greal.

"This is Alpha-Lead, 1st Squadron, 64th Strategic Bomber Regiment, Red Tidean State Aero Forces. Come in Womer Airbase, say again, come in Womer Airbase. We are requesting authorization to land & refuel in agreement of a previous arrangement with your government, over."

The Archon Robert Ryan Fortier- Hexx picked up the red line and spoke softly into it. Soon he would be connceted to the President of Mokastana. When they spoke he would offer the assisstance of the Tanaaran HNavys premier Taskforce - three specially constructed Hospital ships and the task force that protected them. The actions in Greal were clearly out of hand and he would offer what aide the Tanaarans had readily available.

Which was more than one might guess. Becuase currently the task force consisted of the entireity of Third Fleet, and a few extra vessels attached at the moment...

The phone on his desk rang and President Adam Jackson picked it up, a secretary brought up the file on Tanaara and any recent Mokan/Tanaaran relations.

Ambassador I. Vladimir Bovetoya looked out at the city there were flames coming from the fires around the city and the rest of the Embassy District. It had been a long night for him, longer than the night of embassy riots. Earlier in the day roaming bands of Grealites had the Embassy district and since then the Embassy had been on high alert.

He was concerned for the people of the embassy but also many of the metahumans who had come to the embassy district seeking asylum from pro-furry nations. There were Nekos, Kitsune, and other Kemomomimi now being protected inside the embassy from the muderous mobs roaming the streets. As night had fallen they found their way into the District, shouting for blood. The gates had been shut and the walls were being patrolled by Cookeslandic Marines.

Ambassador Bovetoya would have to decide soon whether to evacuate or not...

Unfortuantely the file would be very thin - Tanaara generally kept to itself, interacting almost exclusively with it's region mates, though it had provided troops and material to help restore order and government in the recent uprising in The New True Cross (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=541582) and more recently provided humanitarian relief in the St. Fabian Crisis (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=548516). The dossier would also note that Tanaara was condsidered to have one of the finest intellegence services about and had extensive orbital assets. Including space based weapondry.

The file would note that the Archon, (http://www.atddm.com/prr2.jpg) elected for life, had just recently ascended to the throne, which previously had been held by his mother Mercedez Merideath Hexx, until her abidication after twenty five years of prosperous rule. The Archon was part Imitoran, which to the knowledgeable might bring a pause - they were noteably warlike. In his early thirties, had been a multiply decorated officer priorly and held multiple degrees.

"President Jackson?" It wasn't really a question - the Archons voice was friendly, but firmly brisk. He wasted no time coming directly to the point. "I'm sorry to have our first conversation have such a dire subject, but we have been closely monitoring the sutiation in Greal, and your people seem to be in trouble - no insult to them, but several hundred armed and aggressive citizens, a government that apparently condones genocide and Red Tide two bombers make for something an Embassy force isn't quite equipped to deal with. We'd like to offer our help. We have the Third Fleet headed your way, providing protective escort for three of our Hospital ships."

And the information in the dossier about St. Fabian would tell him exactly why the specially designed hospital ships now had a full fleet was their escort. They'd faced Red Tide before and would not be taking that treachery and bloody nose again.

Sasha, 30 minutes after the destruction of the Embassy

"RPG! INCOMING!" Screamed Zakhaev as an RPG round flew over him and his squad, exploding several feet away. He didn't know if it it had killed anyone and didn't really care. He lifted himself long enough to sight in a target; The man seemed to be no older than 20 and no younger than 16. He hesitated until he say the man raise his gun, and a rush of adrenaline surged through him. Embedded four shots in the man; The assailant dropped to his knees and then to his stomach, dead. Zakhaev looked on in horror at what he had done and fell back into cover.

Zakhaev was at a position known as hill 90, a national park just south of the center of Sasha. A company of marines had held the position for nearly two days now, taking minimal losses and being re-supplied by a small helicopter pad set up a day before in the center of the park; a decent way away from the combat currently happening. Marine AV-8Bs had been flying sorties nonstop in a brave attempt to stem the undying tide of hostiles converging on their position. It was not likely they would survive the night without reinforcements from other bases in the region; which was unlikely.

But as Marines, they would fight to the last, and not dishonor their dead battle-brothers...

"I think you mean a few million angry Grealites. As for the embassy situation I have been informed by General Vasquez in Sasha that Sheppard Air Defenses are set up and declaring a no fly zone over the embassies. If it ain't Mokan or Greal it gets shot down no questions asked. Everyone else gets a warning, then a missile. As for the fleet, Sasha is a landlocked city. Wormer port is probably your best bet given the location of Fort Carson. However we do not know the extent of the riots and I would prefer to keep it solely in Sasha.

IC: The planes touched down without a hitch, they had flown over with bombs in their bombbay. The planes taxied over to their designated area for refuelling...

"So did you hear about what's going on in Sasha? There's supposed to be some huge rioting, and it's pro-furry scum versus anti-furries," asked an S.T.F. Embassy Guard over a session of armor customization in the Security Room. The guards were scratching phrases, emblems, and other objects into their armor, with phrases such as "War, Murder, Bloodshed" (The unofficial slogan-chant of the S.T.F.), "For the Spire!", and "Purge the Furry Scum!". The Leader of the Guard Unit had a swastika carved into both sides of his helmet, along with 31 tally marks. It was easy to tell him from the other Agents, as his helmet had a decent sized spike on top, like the Germans of World War One.

The room was alive with talk of the situation of the Furries around the world.

I will give you an example of what's been happening in Greal:
Yesterday, a patrol of Marines encountered a Burning, and shot the furry to put it out of the pain of the horrible sensation of burning (I've felt it before; 7.62mm Londinian filled with white phosphorus). The crowd then converged on the squad, killing three of the men by swarming them. The remaining marines were ordered not to fire on the civilians, and proceeded to move to the top of a building for evac. However, RPG fire forced the helicopter to pull back, and contact with the Marines was lost. They are presumed dead.
I assume, Commissar Stuyonovich, that as a military man you have been burnt at least once in your life, and you know how excruciating it is.
So take that into account when you say that the furries deserve to be burnt to death. Image their pain, and the immense amount of time it would take them to die.

We do not intend to leave Greal alone for various reasons, our most major being returning Greal into an orderly, stable government chosen by the people of Greal. The one thing that we will never tolerate, as we have stated, is the murder of innocents, and we will use force to enact this.
I have a history lesson for you. A few years back the state of the Free Furry Islands declared itself to the world, and was invaded by Tocrowia, a fascist anti-furry state which killed at least 20 million civilians, with only 5 million escaping. However there was one more complication: A small nation known as Tartarystan sunk several unarmed hospital ships, and at the same time the AFA was founded.

Streets of Sasha

A Mokan patrol consisting of 5 Ironheart IFVs turned a corner and saw a mass of forces, another angry mob, they pulled back as the WATCHKEEPERS took care of two of the threeRPGs that were fired at them, the third, being the state of the art technology it is, diverted from course and crashed into a diner behind them.

"This is Mokan Patrol 157, corner of duce and Joker Street, we have an anrgy mob coming at us westard on Joker, requesting tear gas artillery at coordinates 128-331 north 243-501."

"Copy that patrol 157 tear gas launch underway."

With that 12 cannons from Fort Mokan fired and 36 tear gas rounds flew over the city towards the mob. Once at a certain hight the rounds exploded into clouds of gas, to settle to earth. Back at the patrols the units activated IR scanners and donned gas masks. They waited for the gas to settle.

The 48 bombers moved in, while the 2 EWACS broke-off and held position on the edge of the city, watching the skies up too 900 kilometers away for hostile fighters.

The two Red Tidean EWACS did not stand a chance... the RADAR picture cleared to reveal that the remaining 48 planes had ejected flares and chaff to fool the inbound SAMs. It worked... mostly, two more bombers went down, spiralling out of control. How many 800mm shells have supernukes as their payload? On a model with a range more than twice that of the orginial? And that this gun can be reloaded in 15 minutes, unlike the long amount of time that the +1000 size cannons do. And unless your anti-ship missiles have nuclear warheads, they aren't that different.

The Deployment of Nuclear Weapons is a last resort option in any situation is it not? I seriously suggest reading up a few articles on Wikipedia. After reading through the thread I cannot help but say that some of the world leaders of some of these nations are well ruddy thick. That seem to think Nuclear Weapons are rather large Free Fall Bombs that create a big bang and a cause lot of explosions and thats it. Not only will it be extremely difficult to take over a single region of my country, it will be practically impossible to find me...


Across the GWO, everything was being set up. Soldiers patrolled the cities along with Civilian Control officers, and the usually empty and unarmed Bunkers scattered across each city became occupied, each with MG3s, FHASAWs, Mk. 19s, and numerous other mounted weapons, including Dillon Miniguns. Aircraft coming into any province all had to be escorted by fighters. Weapons sales soared. Civilians usually had a rifle or sub machinegun of sorts in their house, while many registered Civilian Militia members had full blown machine guns, even rocket launchers at times. Metal Storm systems were sent online, scanning the skies for missiles or aircraft, though they would begin monitoring the sea and land when the Cazelians were in range. Ships coming in had to be searched, and the waters around coastal provinces were dotted with Fleets. Around Magna Polis, hundreds of vessels patrolled the waters, and the Defense Islands were fully armed. The Depleted Uranium guns on them could tear straight through a ship's hull with ease, and the weakest Cesium missiles and torpedoes were essentially launched seamines. Smartmines were being placed, leaving only one opening for ships. The city itself contained more weapons.

Coastal provinces also had defense fleets, but their defenses were definately not as strong as Magna Polis'. While they did have underwater smartmines and hundreds of Torpedo Boats, only the larger ones had artificial defense islands off the shore. Their advantage was that the beaches were overlooked by bunkers. Security Measures had mine-laying vehicles on standby, and people were not permitted onto the beach.

In space, satellites began monitoring any fleet movements from Cazelia. This would help track which provinces they would attack, and pepper-bombs against fleets in battle seem to cripple them.

The Grand World Order would not be defeated without taking a massive toll on the enemy.

Clearing the way for the drop ships carrying a unit of marines each that would come in just behind the fighters at the same altitude and keeping up quite well, possessing 4 hybrid ramjet engines. Secondary targets were military bases lying near the target settlements. One tactical fuel air bomb directly center of the base, followed by an air burst napalm bomb over the military instillation.

OOC: Red Talon: Before I can reply, I need to know how many fighters and bombers?

Also, your description of your fighters on your factbook seem quite unrealistic. Any decently designed fighter moving at over speeds of mach-4 would have it's pilot turned into a smeer of human flesh and blood from the sheer g-forces at that speed, not to mention you could not manuever or else the plane would come apart.

EDIT: And upon re-reading it, you list it as a cruising speed, which implies that this is the speed your fighters and bombers normally travel at. Unfortunantly, that would sacrifice any attempts at stealth and such.

((To clarify, thats their top speed, I wouldnt imagine trying to pull of a mach4 average speed with MT. We just cant do it with current aircraft materials. And that speed is entirely possible, maneuvering is as well, though not in the same way that most fighters do Performing a 90 degree turn takes the span of 3-5 US states. They slow to standard supersonic/subsonic speeds for dogfighting as appropriate. The sidewinders infact can be launched at their top speed, due to the fact that the sidewinder missile system was originally designed for use on the SR-71 Blackbird.))

OOC: I have never heard of a manned mach-4 top speed aircraft. The SR-71 and MiG-25 could manage mach-3.1 for awhile, but their engines would eventually melt. Unmanned vehicles powered with engines have gone up to mach-9 at VERY high altitudes, where there is not much airpressure.

Each team will be flown in by an Air Force C-130 Hercules transport plane into international waters near the Alaskan archipelago, a thirteen-hour journey. Then you will be air-dropped from the planes in Advanced Beach Commando Deployment Systems (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ASDS). The ABCD Systems will stealthily carry closer towards the coast, hopefully avoiding detection. Once in range, you will deploy from the ABCD Systems, SCUBA-style. You will covertly make your way ashore.

Once there, your mission will be to generally wreak havoc on the city, destroying air defenses and fortifications, linking up with any rebel groups, if possible, and committing general acts of sabotage. You will keep casualties on civilian non-belligerents to a bare minimum. keep in mind that all cities have massive fortress-grade walls with weapons emplacements, and will be hard to infiltrate. Stick to the countryside until reinforcements arrive. Concentrate especially on destroying air defenses. Do not take prisoners of any soldiers, they will most likely be sociopathic clones. It was but a short time before Tanaaran HST ( Hyper Sonic Transports ) in full passenger configuration and Tan Air livery were landing at Sasha's main airport, and ships requesting dockage at the various Greal ports.

Well, it's definantly under mach-3.5 given that the fastest manned aircraft was the X-15(and it was rocket powered). Also, have you seen the Ramjets on the SR-71? Those things are huge.

Stealth was a horrible movie.

According to wikipedia(always a iffy preposition, but this article seems accurate enough), the Ramjet gives little to no thrust below mach-0.5 and only outperform regular jet engines in excess of mach-2. This means your airplanes, by all acounts, would be catapulted off the decks of your carriers... and then go straight into the sea.

EDIT: Unless your operating Air Turbo Ramjets, in which case, okay then...

Second, How do you pick up stealth aircraft on radar?

Certain late-1940's RADARs can detect stealth planes, they are, however, useless at guiding missiles. The RADAR that have detected you are modern ones that are powerful to the point that it can fry medium-sized birds that fly directly infront of the dish. Remember, Stealth does not equal complete invisibilaty to RADAR. It merely reduces your RADAR signature, it does not eliminate it.

Note that these are actually two pairs of copies. One set is to be kept by the Interior Ministry, the other is for your company to keep."

The first two forms simply affirmed the transaction like any other contract. The other form stated that Buy & Sell must be willing to follow all internal Red Tidean Laws and Codes, etc, etc.

After handing those over, he pulled out two business-looking cards.

"This first card contains information to contact the Interior Ministry, if you have any issues, contact them, they'll handle it. The second one is the Tech-Com Corporation Construction Department, if you are looking for permanent residence, call them. And your hotel limo is waiting for you at the pick-up area. It should be easy enough to spot, the man will have a sign with your name in English on it."

The Official paused for a moment, and then said, "Oh, and forgive me, I am Ivan Merekovich Minaskov." He motioned to the Commissariat Colonel "This is Commissar Colonel Nikita Devlov Denovich Beskov, the Commissariat is providing security for the property until your people can take over."

The Colonel merely nodded at Jack, his facial expression all business.

There've been some long posts before, but none as boring and lacking in content as yours a considering it was mostly IC, i feel i must congratulate you for successfully impersonating the most annoying kinds of boring politicians and general demagogues that fill the airwawes daily spewing tons of material barely containing minute ammounts of data...

Please understand, i have nothing personally against you, i'm just concerned about the possible health risks, comas and whatnot, caused by your posts...

For one, the post did contain much information. Most people who have been playing NS for some time do not write posts that contain "I launch ten thousand nuclear missiles" with a period and thats it. As for my post containing no information? It was a discussion between the heads of state of Tannelorn, talking about how the furry crisis is going out of control and there would be a possible nuclear war.

We then decided to do something about it..lacking information..hardly. It contained a great deal of information on my nations attitudes and ideas. Considering this is a Roleplay forum, it is more then justified to "role play" your heads of state. Just because two world leaders joke around about different cultures while discussing it doesn't make them demagogues. It makes them Realistic.

To be honest saying something like that to people who have been around for some time while they are dealing with ongoing RP's could be grounds for flaming. As many people write posts containing very similiar content, concerning discussions of heads of state. Take a look at the Nationstates forum for examples.


I say this not because i am really all that offended by your opinion, and i was trying to emulate real politicians [not just the worst kind, they are all like that.] but because this could be interpreted as flaming and flaming could get you in trouble.

Considering flaming - i actually agree with you about my previous post, it began as an attempt at funny criticism, but got sidetracked along the way.
Considering how much beer i had that evening, i'm really wondering how the hell i even managed to type that on the iPod's screen keyboard, without the result sounding like Orc speak (it's not that far from it even now) :)
Also, if it wasn't for the beer, i probably would've just read your post, and then said nothing about it.

But still, this doesn't change my main point... your writing style simply isn't compatible with extremely long posts - the information presented is usually camouflaged in a lot more text than actually necessary, making it very difficult to digest.

Long posts are superb, even with small amounts of actual information, when you have someone really talented to write them... i've read some really beautiful narratives on this forum.

I've also read a lot of your posts - and you do post some good stuff too, but mostly only when you keep it short (by which i mean paragraphs, not whole pages or novellas - i don't mean one sentence).
But really, after reading one of your multiple-pages long posts, Spinoza's "Ethics" starts to look like an action packed epic saga in comparison...

I'm actually in the same boat with you - if i keep it short, and concise, in a few paragraphs, i can give out all the information i want, and maybe even manage a decently written article or post.
But if i keep at it, the result is usually an overly long, bloody boring mess, offering readers as much fun as reading an excel sheet, with the added disadvantage of also camouflaging all the information in the excel sheet under clouds of text.

Now, that's it on my part, i won't harass you any longer on this theme :)
There was absolutely no point to my previous comment and to this one, other than to try to make RPing in NationStates more fun, by helping refine some posts.

I'm not insisting that you change your writing style, and i'm not proclaiming that it's sucking the fun out of NationStates altogether (well, i kinda did in my previous post, but you know, drink=stupid), it's completely your choice if you'll do something about it, or keep writing the same.

((OOC: I'm willing to drop the speeds, basically the Red Talons are the largest private army in the world. Their entire nation works towards their military. So with two engines for each fighter and bomber. And actually the hybrid ramjets can operate at any speed, its the actual ramjet part that cant. its like a Mowped setup, part of the engine works at low speed and once the ramjet is able to kick in it switches over. Don't ask me the details, its easier to look it up on Wiki.

As for my fleet, its stationed well out into international waters. Its nowhere in artillery range, even for my own ships, its being kept to aircraft only. I dont have specs on my ships at the moment, I don't want to run an engagement with the fleet at the moment.

And the Blackbirds top speed is classified. The military wont release the information on its top speed, so they say it goes a max of 3.7 or whatever when it very well -could- have a top speed of mach 5. Theres no way to know unless you have the clearance.

As for the stealth systems. An F117 stealth bomber actually doesn't show up on radar at all. With something moving faster than mach 2, even if you could track it with radar, it would be feeding the missiles unreliable data.))

As for your fleet... that does not tell me how far out it is. International waters could be a minimum of 22 kilometers from my shoreline out. So please, how far out, in kilometers, are your ships?

As I said, given a powerful enough RADAR you can detect anything. And I am not even going into other forms of detection systems, such as LADAR, LIDAR, IR, etc.

EDIT: Also, the information you provided on your group is contradictory.

If your a nation, that means you have a homeland and a civilian population that can be attacked. In which case, this attack will be traced back to you and you will be invaded.

As for the nation, They do technically have a homeland. Their sort of like the french foreign legion. Their made up of all sorts of peoples. They use various small uninhabited islands around the world as bases. This is the whole of the fleet, seeing as according to some rule i'm not allowed to have beyond a certain number of ships. Anywho, the ships are masked by artificial clouds to prevent eyes in the sky, and expert hackers passively moniter broadcasts and signals.

The reply was short. Also in russian. "This is Tango leader on a mission of mercy to remove any non humans from your borders."

The Red Tidean reply was not very friendly. At the point the Red Talon Aircraft crossed into Red Tidean airspace, their warning systems went absolutely beserk, as upwards of 1,000 Surface-Air Missiles bore down on the Red Talon fighters and bombers. It was another example of the Red Tidean doctrine: 'Always overkill the target.'

The missiles were MDM-4. The staple of Red Tidean airdefense, the MDM-4 had a speed of mach-4, a range of 115 kilometers, and a intercept ceiling of 100,000 feet(approximately 30,000 meters). The Red Talon planes were well inside the missiles intercept envelope, as they were flying only at 40,000 feet. There was 1,000 missiles, 180 Red Talon fighters, bombers, and transports. That meant that there were 6.25 missiles per plane, such a figure meant sure death for even the most skilled of pilots.

Simultaneously, upwards of 1,000 Su-30RT Fighters were scrambled, their pilots rushing out to their prepared aircraft. The planes jobs were to finish off any survivors of the SAM salvo.

At the sound of the incoming missiles, the aircraft did something quite interesting. The transports banked around, returning to their ships, while the fighters entered a dive, The bombers deploying scrambler flares designed to confuse the living crap out of any tracking systems. The interceptors breaking formation as they dropped in a matter of seconds from 40 thousand feet to under fifty, the ace pilots pulling up while deploying flares. their G suits straining to keep them conscious.

The carriers deployed another 4 wings of interceptors, numbering 28 total. overhead the fleet circled a refueling plane, ready for the returning transports.

The tactic did not fully work, sure some missiles managed to be decoy away or dodged, but Red Tide had made their missiles smarter then that... that and the fact they had fired too many to be avoided by basic manuevering tactics and countermeasures.

There were still 634 missiles on the bearing down on the Red Talon planes. The vast majority of them were zooming in on the transports, as those had not made any manuevers to avoid the missiles.

The transports increased their speed, dropping a small cloud of flares and chaff an instant before performing evasive rolls, descending to lower altitudes.

Meanwhile, each of the combat pilots with missiles on them began performing a rather interesting series of maneuvers. Snapping air brakes and dropping the engiens output while pulling up sharply. Causing the jen to snap into a verticle position and slowing to subsonic speeds before kicking on afterburners to rocket into the sky, deploying flares in their wake.

A number of the pilots were too slow, SAM's impacting their planes with devastating effects. All in all a dozen planes were lost, mostly bombers that couldn't maneuver at the same ratio's as the interceptors.

One interceptor bore its own custom markings. It was piloted by a vetran ace of many years. He switched on his short range com. "This is Reaper to all wings. Tango's bearing in on multiple vectors. Approximately 1000 in total. at varying ranges. Sam fire is keeping up. Focus on the Sams untill tango's arrive. ETA 3 minutes."

The interceptors began strafing runs on the sam sites in the area. The bombers dropping to low altitude to drop smart bombs. Their internal racks holding more than a dozen of the compact explosives.

Also, how are you attacking SAM sites... when your still a good 5 kilometers from land?

IC: The Red Tideans watched... as the Red Talons tried to strafe and bomb SAM sites that were out of their engagement range. Even had they been in range to attack a few SAM sites, Red Tide had many, many SAM batteries in the area. The Su-30's were ordered, instead of engaging the enemy to hold back.

More warning alerts as more SAM's flew into the air, in addition to the (now) 132 missiles still boreing down on the transports, a hoard of another thousand MDM-4's, now completely targetting the bombers and fighters, lifted off the ground and screeched towards the Red Talon planes.
