GWAINE ANNOUNCES POSSIBLE WORLDWIDE BASEBALL TOURNAMENT
By: Ian Richmend
For the past two days members of the Foregin Affairs Ministry along with members of the Gwaine Sports Association (which handles all sporting matters) have been making large strides to increase tourism and foreign opinion on Gwaine. The announcement which doesn't come as a surprise to many in Gwaine will allow up to 16 teams to stay on the islands and play for the Serpent's Cup. As of today, no countries have been contacted to play but that is expected to change within the next week.
Other details about the tournament released were:
Teams will stay in luxurious 5 star hotels.
Foreign Teams will receive semi-full diplomatic immunity.
President Edward M. Snyder himself will present the winning country the Serpent's Cup.
There will be prizes for the top 5 teams.
This appears to be a grand day for the country of Gwaine and its citizens, let us hope that the other nations will be as co-operative.
