Rukemian Borders

Thousands upon thousands of anxious Jamaican troops and personnel lined the Eastern border of Rukemia awaiting orders to enter the ripe nation. They had been told that this newly formed nation needed Jamaica's help in rebuilding it's infrastructure after years of civil war and strife. The Jamaican soldiers' mission was to occupy the nation and help rebuild security forces, as well as act as a police force until the Rukemians had been properly trained. Two full divisions lined the border and were ready to invade the small country, taking it under the Empire's wing for an indefinite amount of time. All they awaited was a signal.

Unmanned spy planes had already crossed over into the small nation's airspace, running surveillance on small towns and cities.

Two Jamaican soldiers in a humvee chatted with each other about the situation as boredom began to set in from the lack of action.

Soldier 1: So this is the newest addition to the Empire, huh? (He said this as he looked onward into a vast valley of plains that lay ahead of him, still now considered Rukemian land.)

Soldier 2: Well you could say that, I'm not sure how long we'll be here, or if it'll become a province at all. I mean, the people that live here aren't really the kind that we take in.

Soldier 1: Ha, what kind of people do you mean? Black people? Come on man, this isn't about all that....at least not this time. This is purely for economic purposes and you can bet your sorry ass that we'll be here for a LONG time. Swoonie just doesn't send two full divisions to a nation to have tea and leave, this is some serious sh*t.

Soldier 2: Whatever man, it seems like you're losing hope in the cause. The Empire is about the betterment of OUR people, never forget that. (He looked sternly at the first soldier and nudged him slightly)

Soldier 1: Sure...sure....but let's not forget that money makes the world go round, and one thing that makes our Empire so great is all that damn money we've got in the bank. (He chuckled at himself slightly and the second soldier just smirked and shook his head.)

One Jamaican division includes:

50,000 Troops (Including Support Staff)
800 BMP-3s
100 T90 MBT
400 Leopard Tanks
10 Chinooks
300 Humvees (Various models equipped with mortars and/or heavy machineguns)
150 Ural 6 x 6 Medium Haul Trucks
60 Blackhawk Helicopters
70 155mm Medium Howitzers
40 120mm Smerch Rocket Artillery
45 Cobra Attack Helicopters
40 Hinds

(When I say "Semi-Open", I mean this is only open to decent RPers, as in you can spell properly and take it somewhat seriously. Me and Rukemian Nationals have already worked out a little bit of a storyline, but others are free to join in as the story develops ;) Oh and for more information on Jamaica look here http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=375361)

Mercia, Rukemia

Supreme Honorable General Dizaz Kayman had recieved the last message from the Jamaican Foriegn Minister and responded back with an eager "OK".

This was his message:

"We are aware that your troops are on the border, tell them they can enter immediately, my men are awaiting them in Mercia the capitol. We can start from there and work our way through the nation. We are very excited to begin working with you."

Back in the Capitol Building
Kayman paced the small wreck of what he called an office, all the while thinking to himself of the events to come. We'll be back on our feet in no time, our economy will be booming, our armed forces will be reconstructed, our infrastructure restored....Rukemia will be as it was in the old days....back when I was only a child

His main Lieutenant Martin Saint was not so sure though. He had been watching Kayman pace for quite some time and decided to interject with a thought, "General Kayman, do you really think it is such a good idea to let these troops occupy our nation so soon after a civil war?"

"Are you questioning my decision making abilities Saint?", Kayman growled back.

"Uh, no not all sir, it's just that I'm not sure that the Jamaicans will be so willing to part ways once they've got a firm foot in the ground here."

"Listen...they'll build our country, we'll pay them what they're owed then they'll leave. It's a win-win, we come out with a strong ally and even a STRONGER nation!", Kayman gripped Saint by his shoulders looking at him with crazed eyes.

"But sir.....Jamaica has been known in the past to show Imperialistic actions against smaller nations, we might want to look in to this a little-", Kayman swung at Saint's face with all his might laying him out on the floor.

He then began to kick at his ribs and face all the while cursing him, "Don't you ever-Umph-think-Umph-that you-Agh-know what's best for this nation! I'm the leader! I'm the general! I'm the man who brought this country off it's knees onto it's feet and put it back together again, that was me who did that!", Kayman screamed angrily while pointing at his own face. "Don't ever question me, EVER!"

Saint crawled up, nodded and exited the room. His sore gut told him that Rukemia was in for trouble, and he wasn't the only one who knew it.

Lynmax, capital of the Kingdom of Lynion

"Jamaica Reborn has sent in a peace keeping force to Rukemia after a civil war for the gain of independence," briefed King Marcus to General King. "I want you to wire a telegram to the capital of Jamaica Reborn and ask them if they would allow us to send in a small peace keeping force,"

"Sire, with respect," started the general. "Is this really required?"

"General, we need allies which we don't have. There are bigger nations with more firepower than us," started Marcus. "If we don't get allies then we can be invaded by nation. Besides, we need to make the region peaceful,"

The general nodded his head as he pulled out his pen and pad as the bodyguards changed their guards.

"To: Jamacia Reborn

Message: The Kingdom of Lynion wishes to send a small peace keeping force to the recent independent nation, Rukemia. We can send the force by ships and we also have a concern about shipping passing by the mainland. Our goal is to help secure the nation since it has gained independence through a civil war.

We can send: 1,000 regulars, 120 Abrams, troop transport trucks, jeeps, 30 Anti-Aircraft Tanks and 500 Lynion Hunters which are our highly trained Special Forces. Our small navy will consist of 4 Frigates, 2 destroyers, 2 cruisers, two submarines, troop transport ships and around ten gunboats. Finally, 12 FA 18's and 6 FA 11's will be sent over head to secure the landing of the peace keeping force.

Your's truly,

King Marcus of the Kingdom of Lynion." dictated Marcus.

Marcus watched the general finish writing before opening his mouth again.

"Send a telegram to Rukemia requesting permission to allow us to land but only wire that telegram if Jamacia gives us the thumps up," finished Marcus.

The general nodded his head and started for the radar tower in the port city below them. Marcus walked to the open window and watched the naval ships in the port city below them.

'Either first step to making allies or our first step to making an enemy,' Marcus thought to himself.
