Resicorp unleashes new flamethrower!

Today Resi Arms unleashes the first in a series of high-powered weaponry for only the most discriminating post-modern army, and it is fitting that the first of the R-1 series of weapons continues one of the most ancient traditions of weaponry still in use today - the flamethrower.
Introducing the
R-1 "Ifrit" Plasma Jet
http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f195/wetsail/plasmajetdebute.jpg
The flamethrower has functioned in equal parts a powerful offensive and psychological weapon from the times of ancient Greece to the wars of the present. The "Ifrit" revolutionizes this by removing the flame from the flamethrower, instead shooting superheated bursts of hydrogen plasma that burn at temperatures upwards of 2000ºK, past the melting point of titanium.
Stored in the five pressurized tanks mounted to the rear of the gun, the revolutionary hydrogen plasma is derived from common every-day water, and heated into a plasma state by the energy created from its internal plasma battery. Shooting out at around 1,000-1,250 feet, anyone on the wrong end of this is guaranteed not to live to give a negative testimonial. At such high temperatures, the "Ifrit" can even cut holes in most tanks, and at the very least cause serious heat issues and probable death for anyone unlucky enough to be caught in a vehicle hit by a blast.
At Resi Arms, the safety of your own soldiers is paramount, and much of what goes into the fifty-pound heft is heat shielding for the troop lucky enough to get his hands on one. The plasma is vented in a narrow stream through the middle of the central tube surrounded by a magnetic containment field, through a series of cooling vents, heat sinks, and extraneous layers of metal designed to take excess heat back to the core of the gun. Though your troops may feel a negligible amount of heat, the sight of their enemies melting away before their eyes will be motivation enough to love what this gun does.
Specs
Designation: Plasma Jet
Environment: Land
Top Heat: 2000ºK
Size: 3.5 ft x 0.75 ft x 0.5 ft

the kingdom of Axmanland is fascinated by the idea of unleashing hot plasmid death upon its enemies.
however due to the heavy nature of the weapon would it be possible to produce a variant that could be mounted on an infantry support tank.
we believe that this would be the most efficient vector with witch to deploy this undeniably potent combat tool
Wow, you've done your research. Posted it up on the NSD?
I'll take 1,000, please, testing and initial issue. Total bill is 4,500,000 USD, plus a $10 tip.
Do we buy the refill cartridges from you?

OOC: Whoops, eheh. Meant to mention that. The Ifrit has a detachable tripod mount similar to some miniguns. The connector to the mount on the gun could also be attached to specially-fitted vehicles if you'd like.

Considering that this so-called flamethrower ironically runs on water, you should hopefully have the means to refill its cartridges within your own borders. Purified, filtered water works best, but in a pinch the cartridges have their own filters.

Should one of our products become destroyed or otherwise disabled for any reason beyond common wear and tear, Resicorp will usually repair it for half to three-quarters weapon price, assuming enough of our product remains to repair it.

From: Animarnia Defence Ministry
The Animarnian defence ministry is very, very interested in this weapon; and would like to purchase 25,000 units for testing purposes in our armed forces for the sum of 15 million USD (Including tip). We will be creating a regiment of 2000 troops specially trained to handle the weapon these will be the 1st Royal Flamer Regiment; call signed ‘flaming death’. The remaining units will be fitted to various vehicles to evaluate combat effectiveness from a variety of platforms including Armoured Utility Vehicles, Helicopters, Main Battle tanks, IFV’s and of course, APC’s all of which could play a critical component for a beach landing and clearing out entrenched infantry and bunkers. Also we would like to propose a research project to see if the Ifrit can be compacted down to fit on the under barrel rail of a standard assault rifle. We realise that to do this several compromises would have the be taken primarily the length of time before re-supply however even a short burst of say 10-15 seconds could be very effective perhaps more so than a standard 40mm Grenade launcher. Animarnian is willing to fund an initial research project for 2 billion USD to see the feasibility of this weapon; if the initial project returns are promising a further development grant of 10 billion USD will be approved; we take this project very seriously.
You’re Sincerely.

Dear ResiCorp,
I read your article on the 'Ifrit' Plasma Jet with great interest, and after discussions with President Burte, and my other military commanders. We would like to propose an offer.
Our own research department, the Burtilana Defensive and Offensive Technology Program (BDOTP), would like to make a deal with you.
The aim of the deal is to create larger, mobile versions of the R-1 "Ifrit" Plasma Jet, e.g. A R-1 "Ifrit" Plasma Jet Tank.
Your end of the deal would be to build larger versions of this weapon.
Our part of the deal would be to construct vehicles with them.
to two parts could be put together in either nation
Vehicles we have planned:
R-1 "Ifrit" Plasma Jet Light Tank
R-1 "Ifrit" Plasma Jet Medium Tank
R-1 "Ifrit" Plasma Jet 'Mammoth' Tank
R-1 "Ifrit" Plasma Jet Attack Helicopter, which would literally rain hell on targets
R-1 "Ifrit" Plasma Jet Infantry Support Jeep
R-1 "Ifrit" Plasma Jet APC
We offer 1billion USD if you accept the deal.
Both nations would have the rights to build the vehicles and to sell them.

Ideally, we'd add more than one plasma jet - perhaps two turrets on the front, or one to each side.
Additionally, this is one monster of a tank. Have you taken measures to make sure it doesn't split over the curvature of the Earth? Conjoined sections with separate treads would work well, we think.

We was thinking along the same lines.
Also if you wanted 2 plasma turrets, how about giving it a reason for being nicknamed the 'Mammoth' we could stick a main turret in the centre, flanked either side by the plasma turrets.
