The Grand Master of The Holy Order of Saint Longinus looked upon the report with a grim and saddened face. The Catholic Church was frayed and disunited. So many popes all around the world claimed to be the true Vicar of Christ. However, he had seen the truth, Pope Aquintas of Valtican City was the True Pope. Thus, his Order had voted, in combination with the catholic citizens of The American Privateer, to recognise the aging pope. And now, it was time to try and bring the rest of the world's catholics into line.

Appearing before the news cameras of both the Official News Agency of The Longinean Order, and the various cameras of The American Privateer and the Valtican City, he announced, "We, the Holy Order of Saint Longinus, have decided to throw our support behind the Valtican City, and call for a global conference of the Catholic Church in Valtican City. We invite the heads of all Catholic Churches to join us in this council as we try to unite the Catholic Churches of this world into one entity. This will enable those of us in The Longinean Order to better protect the flock, as per our standing order."

OOC: This is a council for all Catholics. All heads of Churches and Catholic Alliances are welcomed to come and join in the council.

Archbishop Lazarus Whitestone, who presided over the Archdiocese of St. Francis Xavier, sat in a palace near the Cathedral of St. Thomas Aquinas with Cardinal Peter Silverford, the highest Church official in the Empire.

"This conference, Cardinal. Do you think it wise for the Kiravian Church to send a representative?"

"I do not know. We have never formally recognised a pope above us, and have largely addapted our doctrine from convention."

It was true. When Christianity first came to what would become the Kiravians, they were a group of ethnic tribes and republics dominating the Coscivian continent. When a formal Kiravian branch of Catholicism was formed, the land of Kirav had just been a sailor's tale. A papacy hadn't ever been recognised. As it's name suggests, the Cardinal, though head of the Church in Kirav, had always been considered subordinate to something, even though no one was quite sure what that something was.

Dr. Cassius Edwards, Archbishop of New Masada, boarded a plane to the meeting. Time and time again, he had put up with crap from local anti-Catholics, who equated his religion with the evils of the Doomani.

He really didn't care which pope was recognised as long as it was not the Doomani Pope. That man had brought so much grief to Kahanistan it wasn't funny.

The air port was not owned by the Valtican but we the closest to it. They wore a formal attire and weren't armed with modern weapons. A few yards behind them was Pope Peter-Thomas Aquantais. He was with a crowd (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/e/ee/GestatorialChair1.jpg) of men. They were his 32 Bishops of the Valtican and a few lines of Papal Guardians (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/64/Garde_noble_Vatican_2.jpg) dressed formally.

The Swiss Guard raised their spears up to the sky and the ones with trumpets on the sides of the line began to play. A colour guard of 30 Swiss Guards, 15 on each side, went up to the staircase being put up to the plane. The Papal Servants laid out a red Royal Carpet. The Swiss Guard Colour Guard procession held flags of each nation in attendance as well as the flags of the churches, if any.

Bishop Edward Aliantis walked up to the end of the red carpet and held a bible out. Behind him was Bishop John Evangales. He held a long stick with the cross at the top. Bishop Aliantis did the sign of the cross to the foreign dignitaries as they exited the plane.

If it would be acceptable, the Kingdom of Thacea would like to send a delegate to the meeting, we were unaware that the meeting was open. We have decided to send Lord Bishop Celöndir Eóráwyn to the meeting. He should arrive sometime tomorrow evening.

For a while Uiri has been cut off from the world and we at our church apologize for any lack of communication with you and your predecessors. Just inform myself of the location of the council and I shall be on a plane promptly.

OOC: I made up the Pope's e-mail, feel free to adjust it as you see fit. RL tld for vatican city is va, because of the sheer size of NS, I felt three letters were necessary.

Cardinal Silverford and his Archbishop arrived in the miniscule state that was the Holy See. The Church's ultimatum to the Ryou Empire made them wary, though. Being Kiravian, the two clergymen were not particularly fond of the Ryous, but they were strongly against the Church taking political action. Also, the fact that the Ryou Islands were a protectorate of Stevid, a devoutly Catholic nation, made the situation quite confusing.

Dr. Edwards stepped off the plane. He was a gaunt, old man, around 90, and walked with the aid of a long stick. He was dressed in the red robes of a Cardinal.

"Hello," he said. "I am Dr. Cassius Edwards, Archbishop of New Masada, Kahanistan. I am here to discuss the fragmentation of the church."

The horns sounded as the two delegations walked down the stairs. The Squire called out what they were as they passed, as they walked in front of him he bowed.

"Archbishop Lazarus Whitestone and Cardinal Peter Silverford of St. Thomas Aquinas Cathedral of the Archdiocese of St. Francis Xavier of The Kiravian Commonwealth."

He bowed.

"Archbishop Dr. Cassius Edwards of the Archdiocese of New Masada of the Free Republic of Kahanistan."

He bowed once more and waited for the rest of the delegations.

The ramp on the Valkyrie flyer lowered. Twenty guards, dressed in red and black carapace armor, marched out from the lander, assault rifles held across their bodies. They took up position on either side of the doorway as Lord Inquistor Julius Galbatross, resplendent in his massive armor and wielding a sword crackling with arcane energies, stepped off the flyer.

"I have come to pledge my loyalty and my army to the True Pope. May the Word be spread to all the unbelievers."

The trumpet rang out once again. The magnificant man raised his hand towards the crowd and the Squire started his speil again.

"Lord Inquistor Julius Galbatross of the Roman-Catholic and Catholic Church of The Holy Empire of The Kilogramm."

The Swiss Guard remained still, trained for the worst. They were strong in their mind and in their body. Their arms started to hurt but they held their spears and flags high up above the carpet and where the people's height came to be about.

OOC: No reply? No matter, I shall go straight to the arrival of Patriarch Daniel I of the Uir Catholic Church. Keep in mind the Uir church is in full communion with the Bishop of Rome however not part of the Latin, or Roman, Catholic Church.

The old man, 70, slowly got out of his seat in the air plane. With a little assistance he was on the stairs and going down them to join the Archbishops and the Pope himself. There was most likely going to be much to talk about and Daniel wondered if any other Patriarchs of the Catholic - often improperly referred to as Orthodox - Churches would arrive.

An aide ran up to the Master of The American Privateer, and his eyes opened in surprise. The plane that had taken Grand Master Juan Diego to the Peace Confrence was coming to The Valtican for fear that the leader of their faith would die should they approach their homeland.

Jogging up to the Pope, he bowed and then saluted. "Your Holiness, the Grand Master himself is coming. I must go now to meet him, and escort him here. Please do not be offended when he steps in on Horseback, he was awarded the Knight Grand Cross of the First Class in the Order of St. Gregory the Great when he was but a Master much like myself."

With that, he bowed, and hurried out to the plane, ordering his knights to grab their bikes, and prepare a full and worthy procession.

As the plane touched down, the full Honor Guard for the Marshall and Master of The American Privateer stood ready to receive their Grand MAster and Seneschal.

As he stepped down, his horse was brought to him, and he swung up onto it. His Seneschal did the same, even though he was but a Commander in the Order. They trotted up to the two dignitaries, nodded, and where led in a procession toward the pope. The Knights dismounted before the gates, and marched in, twenty ahead, and 100 behind the Grand Master as they entered.
