Captains log, 1200 hours: As I sit here writing into my journel, I wonder what has happened. Jonathan Ruechuel hasn't been seen for over a week. If he had drifted out to space, his alarm would've gone off. Jon has never missed a single day, forbid a week. I have called the entire crew to meet and figure out what to do. I hope they have some good ideas because I sure don't.
"What's the problem sir?" Captain Jackson looked up. It was Barry O'malley, his supersticious second in command. "I'll tell you when everyone is in here. It's a matter of utmost importence, but I would prefer to present it to everyone as a group." Captain Jackson said. "Sir, everyone's in there except for Jonathan." Jackson sighed. "Let's go." "But I though-" The captain raised his hand to silence him. He then walked into the meeting room.
"As you all probably relieze by now, Jonathan Ruechuel has been missing for the past several days." A pause. "I've seen neither hide nor hair of him, and from the looks of all of you, I'm guessing none of you have either." The crew all shook their heads. "Well, there will be a ship wide search soon. All crew members will have to report to the main hall for the bio-scan to take place. I expect you there at 1500 hours sharp."
At the main hall, everyone was starting to get antsy. "It's a bad omen I say! A sign of bad luck!" Barry was superstitous to a fault. His ONLY fault the crew said. But few paid any attention to him. They were all watching the screen as it displayed the results of the bio-scan of the ship in green and black pixels. Suddenly, as it got towards the main hall vents, a group of green pixels, signifying life, were shown. "Bah, the stupid thing must be picking us up early." But further down at the main hall where they were at, it showed the pixels again. Before the captain could say anything, the lights went off. In the darkness, Jackson could feel a whir of motion next to him. Then he heard Barry scream, a scream of absolute horror and despair, a scream that turned his blood cold. When the emergency lights turned on, the grate above them was open, and Barry was nowhere to be found...
OOC: I'll need someone to RP three of the ship's 4 crew. Ridley Bowmann, Arthur Peer, and Samantha Carpenter.
