Her Majesty the Queen has formally opened British Petroleum's drilling operations in the North Sea, that will see 200 million barrels per day extracted for at least the next 100 years.

British Petroleum has become Britain's largest company overnight, following its formation with money from the London Stock Exchange just 6 months ago after the British Geological Survey announced its oceanic mineralogical discoveries.

Petroleum is being sold on the home market but there is considerable excess capacity that is being opened to foreign countries.

In total 10 million barrels are being consumed per day domestically, leaving 190 million barrels worth of production to go to foreign customers. These will be sold in blocks of 10 million barrels per day. There is no limit on the number of blocks of production a single nation may buy.

ooc: Stop spamming this thread with your gibberish.

$700,000,000 per day is a fair price for oil. You dont get the field, you get the oil from it. That price equals $70 per barrel which is less than the current oil price.

Official Declaration

The United Republic would like to purchase three blocks, for $2.8 Billion Universal Standard Dollars, which will then be sold to parties elsewhere. We don't use the oil, but seeing as some guy from Giffen...whatever..is involved we'd like to make sure they don't get everything. And, considering that, we would like to start a payment plan to purchase four more blocks over four standard years (four days).

The offer stands, and we could be your sole customer. Anyway, may your success be grand!

Yours truly,
Caster Oblivion
Chief of Foreign Affairs and Activities
Person who would probably sell the oil for a dollar a barrel each

Crookfur: Price is for the crude oil only. You may arrange shipping yourself or we can have it carried in BP tankers for an appropriate fee.

Your booking has been processed.

Anagonia: Thankyou for your order and also thankyou for paying the price of 4 blocks while only asking for the produce of 3. You are most kind.

You may buy any further quantity of blocks at the arranged rate of $70 per barrel delivered whenever you have finance. However we are not a bank and cannot offer you a loan for such a large sum. I would suggest the Thatcherite British bank HSBC plc. for these services. However it may not be advisable to set-up a standing order on debt.

As a monarch of a fellow petrlium nation I must warn you; some weirdos called Griffincrest will probably try to steal your oil. I advice you to mobilize your reserves in advance, since that seems to be the only method to scare these cowards away.

ka-Spel: A standing order for $700,000,000 per day has been set up and oil shipments will begin immediately.

ka-Spel: The government would be interested in free trade but does not deal directly in uranium following the privatisation of Magnox plc.

Bardar: We will fight them on the beaches, on the landing grounds and in the streets. We will never surrender.

To Whom It May Concern;-

Having learned of Thatchers-Britain's recent fortune in the discovery of vast reserves of oil, it has become clear that protection and security is a necessity. Unfortunately, in the modern era, warfare is a highly costly business. Maintenance, training, equipment and so forth, it all soon adds up. However the more fiscally challenging aspect of combat is the loss of life and soldiers, who have the equivilient of millions of dollars invested in them.

For this very reason, LifeWyze can provide state of the art biological and chemical weaponry. With but a few biological or chemical agents placed within explosives, it is possible to protect entire drilling sites, with only a minimum in collateral damage. Best of all, LifeWyze has within store chemical and biological agents that disperse rapidly, allowing operations to resume within hours, all without the costly task of cleaning.

Realistically, the only economically viable choice is biological or chemical weaponry, and LifeWyze supplies the best. Be wise, use LifeWyze.

On the behalf of governing board at Royal Oceanian Petroleum, I would like to announce the intention of ROP to purchase at the stated $70/bbl quote fields 8–9 and 11–14 for a sum of $3.5 billion. Secondly, ROP would like to make an enquiry into the possibility of investing in refining capacity in Scotland, preferably in the metropolitan area of Aberdeen. Specifically, we would like to seek any and all information about labour laws, zoning permits, pollution controls, and general state of infrastructure and demographics.
