A few days ago a young Neo Kirisuban doctor, Yuko Hatamoto saved a life on a planet of the dead.

They met, got to know each other better and now its the doctor who needs the help.

In the sickbay of the pioneer class starship 'Star Maiden' she lies needing very special help. Help only an Isian doctor and perhaps the Emperor can give her.

Subspace messages went out looking for an Isian ship and hopefully the help this woman needed.

in far off part of space a Yōkai Wolfpack had just wiped out a Ork fleet which happen to cross their path,pick up the Subspace messages

Back on the 'Star Maiden' Captain Sayuri Anzu picked up the reply and acknowledged it.

"INS Mars, we are on our way at best speed. We have a need of one of your doctors and help would be apreciated.

Following the fighters through the debris of what used to be an Ork fleet showed just how agile a Pioneer class cruiser was.

Fielding the call from the 'Mars' Sayuri switched the signal to visual and replied "Captain, Dr Hatamoto, the CMO of another exploration starship saved the life of one of your warriors.

This dying warrior turned out to be your Emperor and one thing led to another. Now we need a doctor to help her through a pregnancy since we haven't had a pregnancy like hers on record before."

Giving a potted version of the truth did seem like the best idea. Either way they needed information or as unlikely as this appeared a chance to talk to Emperor Wolf.

Neo Kirisubans didn't believe in 'shotgun' weddings but they were honourable people. Yuko could raise the child by herself but it was only fair for Wolf to know about this.

six Clone soldiers were in the Bay finishing mopping up the Orks that were hiding in it ,turn an look at the shutttle with rifles rised till they saw it was all clear and lower them

"ar the honoerd guests"said the Veteran Sergeant who was leading the group ,as he walks forward Yuko would note that his eyes were Wolf's eyes fact all the Clones had his eye's ,fired left handed and carry their side arms on the left thigh like him

"welc" the Veteran Sergeant stops, what he was saying as he spots movement in the croner of his left eye and trun to open fire with his rilfe ,Yuko and Anzu would see blue muzzle flame and bullets rip into a Orks body

"sorry about that the bam thing was playing poussum, where was i,oh yes Welcame to INS Mars" the Veteran Sergeant now say as the other clones move out to double check the bodys

"they cooked up a roast dinner of pork,lamb,beef and chicken for the ship with lot of goodies you have it, which we usely don't have often" Veteran Sergeant now said as he leans them onto the platform

As they made the trip on the railway Sayuri replied "we eat all of that except beef back home. We only use cows for milk and some chicken sounds nice.

I take it given the number of crew this ship would need food is more functional anyway. I had to use ration packs for my crew for a year after we moved to our new homeworlds. Replicators couldn't be made quick enough and we had to wait."

Sayuri nodded taking all this in. Neo Kirisuban's wouldn't know what to do with a ship this size even if they decided to build one.

They'd always used small cruisers designed to pack a punch from day one. The bulk transport ships they used were converted civilian starliners.

"Most space powers use ships larger than our own but its what you do with a ship that counts and not its size. A big starship does demand respect although" she replied.

"ur ships are what they are as we try to hold onto our space,if we must lose it we make the other side pay dearly for it"said the Veteran Sergeant as they enter the mess hall which was busy with clone came off duty getting dinner or those getting it before going on duty

"Admiral and the ships Captain are at that table near the buffet"Veteran Sergeant said as he points them out before moving on

"Thank you" Sayuri replied and walked to the buffet table with Yuko in tow. These warrior women stuck out right away when visiting another starship at the best of times but the kimonos certainly got people looking at them.

Arriving she waited to be noticed. She couldn't quite tell who the man in charge was yet.

"Sitting would be prefered Admiral" Sayuri replied and both her and Yuko sat down smoothing out their kimonos as they did.

Then turning to him she added "I assume you know why we are here. This delicate matter needs resolved one way or another. It's also involving a new life. Two in fact since Yuko is having twins.

At the very least Yuko needs to know what to expect in her pregnancy and just how different an half Isian baby is going to be."

"what ever usely for you race,i don't know your ask the wrong poeple Captain and our Doctors only know how to take care of battle wounds"said the Admiral

"I'll wait for the message then. Dr Hatamoto could well deal with the appropriate specialist herself since she's fully qualified in space medicine.

She's also skilled in dealing with battle wounds so thats another thing we have in common" Sayuri replied noting that the Captain was taking this down.

She could be patient but they had been invited to dinner and could talk business as they ate.

While she nibbled at some chicken strips and salad Sayuri asked "Admiral we know so little about the Isian people even with having an AI diplomat on our home planet.

We know you are a warrior people like ourselves but I'd like to ask a question. Whats it like in the warp? We can't go there or even explore it."

So how does the Isian's manage to stay in the void and not only survive but prosper?"

She was genuinely curious to find out as Yuko looked a little nervous as the clones continued to remind her of Wolf. The father of her babies and the man she had feelings for. She ate quietly as a result wondering if she'd ever see him again.

Leaving the next change to her Captain she again nibbled at her food looking distracted.

Sayuri had nearly finished as well only taking a small portion while she waited.

Having seen part of this ship that her world could only dream about building never mind crewing she knew they were good with small fast and agile cruisers. Their designs although classical and old could easily be improved and upgraded even if the exteriors remained the same.

She pondered just how to improve what they had and the general shape of this ship gave her an idea. A longer slimmer ship could be bigger than its round or ovoid counterpart in terms of sheer square footage.

Seeing a little of their weapon systems would be a revelation and perhaps advance their own level of technology. It was also informative for her personally.

Sayuri nodded and Yuko having finished as well they both left up their plates ready for the next part of the tour.

Yuko hadn't been inside a ship this big before. She only knew her own fleets cruisers up to this point but had seen larger Xiscapian and Alversian ships.

She just hadn't been on board them.

So the tour continued the Major leading the way.

It was like watching the photon torpedoes being loaded up in their own ship but these were a lot bigger needing more manhandling.

"those three large robotic arms are used to load the launch tubes are controlled by those three clone sitting in those chair with joysticks" said the Major as he point out the window that over look the bay

"I see" Sayuri replied adding "our photon torpedos are a lot smaller than these but theres always an improved version in the works."

This wouldn't give any information away since weapons technology was always developing and improving.

She could see why they needed the robotic arms. The torpedo looked very heavy as well as large.

"can fire twelve of yours in one solo,if we halfed our tubes"said one of the navy clones as he supervised the loading from his consoled

"so do you have something to ask us"asked another

"Whats the explosive force used in them? Is it atomics, plasma or something else?" Sayuri asked curiously.

Their ships did have nuclear torpedos as well but these were rarely used these days. The much older ships used plasma missiles as well.

"Antimatter ,Dark matter,Gravimetric and Plasma Warheads and we have Chroniton torpedoes extremely dangerous and potent "

"now ladies is that all"asked the Major

"I think thats everything Major. Thank you for showing us this" Sayuri politely replied making a mental note not to get hit by those torpedoes.

Knowing the power of anti-matter alone she figured shields would have a hard time coping with those.

Following they were back on the little train again.

The thoughts of anti-matter and dark matter torpedeos had her brain whizzing round. Now she knew others had them she'd have to mention these in her report home.

They had a bit of fun in the arcade playing air hockey and finding it needing fast reactions.

The light gun games also caught their eye and given their warrior culture they were quite good with these.

with the pair having fun time moved that one o'clock came and went before they find themself being beam to the busy ship Bridge main level

These women took beaming in their stride and Yuko said "hello Ink" in a warm voice to the little robot.

Now she knew what a fire wolf was like and what Wolf had mentioned before about looking after animals made sense.

Ink waved then run over to Yuko so she could pick her up

"those two bring handwritten orders from Wolf, we are to bring your ship Captain into the Void to a Naval base above a gas planet,so congratulation to you as this the frist time and most likely that last we doing this"said the Admiral as he work out how they going to do it

Hitting her comm badge Sayuri told her XO what would be happening.

"I'm ready for a trip" Sayuri replied as Yuko picked up Ink and smiled. She'd missed this little cute robot as well.

"right we going to park Mars above your ship and form a shield around which stop the void doing it thing to it and your Crew"said Captain before sipping at his tea an going on

"when we jump we be pulling you with us to the void where you find your scanners reading be off and find you can't radio back home, from where we pop out we jump again for the Base"

"That sounds fine to me" Sayuri replied and tapped her comm badge telling her XO the same thing and not to worry in her own language.

"I've informed my XO and she's fine with this as well. We're all set to go."

Yuko was entertained by Ink in the meantime and she found herself able to understand the singing a little bit now. It was something that took a bit of getting used to.

no words were heard when the order were given to move out but they were given,an before long the Fleet was station above the giant gas plant which had four Shipyards , ten Adrastos Fortress and one armed Ring world

She hadn't seen a purple landscape before but this would be a more interesting experience for her. The explorer in her was always trying to learn knew things.

Likewise on her ship standard procedure was to start a sensor survey of a world.

"Captain we request stop what your ship doing"said the Captain with a unhappy look on his Face

"I apologise but scanning a new world is standard procedure for us. I'll tell them to stop" Sayuri replied and tapped her comm badge giving the order to cease scanning in English.

There was other ways to obtain information and simply looking out an observation port was as good as any under the circumstances.

"this is a military area ma-am where we could just blow you up as spies"said the Major as he enter

"you can return to you ship as long as you stay near your ship and Mars an not leave the shielding"said the Captain

Sayuri replied "I'm sure we can shuttle back and still stay safe under the shields" but Yuko was quick to notice something the universal translator hadn't picked up.

Was it about her? She couldn't tell yet.

"oh yes boss want her to stay in one of the house on the sruface of the ring so get a drop ship set to take her down"said the Captain as he looks at Yuko

Sayuri nodded and said to Yuko "Doctor, I'll still be in comm range so call me if you need anything. Things will work out fine."

"I'll see you later on Captain" Sayuri added leaving to head back to her shuttlecraft. This left Yuko about to take a lift which would lead her to Wolf and the chance to tell him how she felt about him.

Ink still in Yuko arms turned her head and coos at the Fire Wolf which with a Woof got up and moved to sit next to Yuko

"when you are set we can go,just a waring our Pelican Dropship's Pilot's and Co-Pilot's land hard and fast into landing zones"said the Major

"I'm as ready as I'll ever be Ink" Yuko replied glad for the warning.

"I guess you're coming as well" she added in a warm voice to the wolf.

before Yuko knew it she, Ink and the Wolf were in a Hanger Bay on the Ring

"Ok" Yuko replied this journey already full of surprises for her.

Both vehicles looked pretty tough, functional and able to take them to where they needed to get to.

She was happier to be on the surface anyway and climbed into the jeep.

"all our military vehicles have MP players in them an it be a hour before we get to the house" he said before starting up and driving off towards the entryway of the bay

"Thank you major" Yuko said listening to the music as he drove her to the house.

Now able to see the surface in more detail she was struck by its beauty.

"Is there any animal life on the surface?" she curiously asked also looking out for life to pass the time.

"deer,two tail foxes, jackals, falcons an other brids and fish in the water,an lot more other animals'said the Major as turns off the main road on a trail leading away from it which Yuko would find leading to a small plain looking house but was nice and warm inside, that over looked a lake

Yuko made a mental note of this as the jeep turned off onto the trail and she spied the lakeside house.

She assumed nothing although good fishing looked likely here.

"Thank you major" Yuko replied softly and after he left in the jeep she checked the gun over.

She was more used to a hand phaser but one gun was pretty much like another when it came down to it.

She had no idea of the recoil she'd be facing so slid the top of the gun back to chamber a round and slid of the safety catch.

Then she sat beside the firewolf watching and waiting. Things looked quiet but you could never tell.

Yuko smiled and wished she had a tricorder. She'd just have to remember what she seen instead.

Seeing the phoenix burst into flame and be reborn was a shock initially but the rebirth made up for the sadness she felt seeing it die.

So she continued to watch and wait along with the firewolf and Ink taking a chance to walk a little round the lake but not straying very far.

out in space a warhip drops in an from a bay a dropship heads for the Ring's atmosphere glowing as it enters before flying over Yuko to lower behind trees near the house for a minute or so before lifting off and heading south

Yuko watched the ship approach and cautiously moved over to where the dropship landed her gun in her left hand just in case.

The walk wasn't far but she had no idea of what to expect but it might have been Wolf and it might not have been. So she wasn't taking any chances as a result.

"sorry kitten" Wolf said to her when he saw her as he really don't know what to say to her

Yuko smiled broadly when she seen Wolf again slipping the safety catch back on the pistol.

"The major lent me his gun but I didn't need it Wolf san. I missed you so much as well" she tenderly said once she reached him and gave him a hug.

"We're going to have babies" she also added.

"iam sorry kitten i did not mean for this to happen" Wolf said saddy to her as he looked away from her

"I wasn't planning on being a mother either but it happened.

I only found out when I was caught up in an accident in engineering. I dragged out an injured engineer and got a dose of coolant as well as being slightly burnt when a conduit blew out next to me.

She felt safe now and they both missed each other. It seemed that one night had been enough for them to make a connection. Her unborn babies made her next decision a lot clearer.

"I'd like to stay with you Wolf. I have no idea how this pregnancy will work out given i'm human and I'll need help from one of your doctors.

It'll mean giving up my old life as a ships doctor but it'll be worth it if we're together" she added in a soft voice.

Today was the start of a new life for her. She'd have to tell her old Captain she'd need a new CMO but that could easily be done later on.

She also tapped her comm badge and called in so they'd know she was fine and she was staying with Wolf but she would need some clothes replicated.

Giving a list of what she needed she knew this would be arranged along with other essentials she needed and beamed down.

Ink who had clean up the mess she made ,wave her before going back to playing roll the ball with a shadow wolf that had a scar on it left eye

Yuko could see Wolf had put a lot into his pet robot that he made with his own hands

'Woof"said the wolf with the scar as he rolled the ball toward Yuko

So Yuko played ball to pass the time.

She seen how like Wolf that Ink was and she was getting on well with the wolves. Rolling the ball back to Ink and the shadow wolf made her smile as well as seeing how smart and loyal the wolves were.

sometime pass the wolf with the scar stop the ball with his paw as he like the other wolves can hear a Wart hog being driven hard and fast up the main road,before turning and heading towards the house where it stops at the front


"Yuko"said Wolf as he enters the front door

Yuko smiled and petted the wolf again before heading cheerfully to the door. She was still wearing the inner kimono (and not much else) since her new clothes had only just been beamed down and left in the bedroom.

Seeing Wolf she gave him a happy smile and a loving hug glad to see him.

Wolf take her hand an lead her to a chair where he sits down pulling her onto his lap

Yuko pondered the question thinking just what the dead planet was actually called.

"The Empress Keiko is still at the planet of the dead where the caves where. I don't think its been named yet by us or our allies but they still have a survey to carry out.

Yuko's little nap lasted two hours feeling more tired than she thought.

Stretching on the sofa she headed to the bathroom and got showered before slipping on a sleeveless red summer dress which dropped to below her knees.

Heading outside a little bit she went looking for Wolf again with a happy smile on her face.

Yuko would find Wolf with two Ink in front of him playing with one another and with the Wolves

She fired two more warning shots at the bears hoping this would also drive them off.

So after giving Wolf a tender loving kiss she retrieved her bikini and beckoned him into the house. They had to get ready to leave but they still had time together.

Yuko had slipped on her original summer dress leaving the evening dress for later on. She could always change on the ship nearer the time.

So with her holdall in hand she also wore her honour blade as she got beamed to the gang plank ready to board with Wolf.

Wolf take's Yuko in hand and walk with her up the gangway to the air lock of the Panzer class ship they were using,where he stops at the top to talk to a number of officer waiting for him

"Good thank you" Wolf finish saying before leading Yuko throught the maze of the inside of Imperial ships

She also took out the dress she would be wearing later once she knew what time she needed to get ready for.

Yuko slipped of the command chair and kneeled down slightly so she could pet the tigeress.

Certainly a suitable pet for an Empress who previously only had a tribble she had to leave behind.

Princess Joy was really cute and the other wives were stunning. She'd have a lot to live up to once she joined them.

Yuko's look changed to one of sympathy and she looked up at Wolf.

She'd seen so much horror when her world died along with her parents and most of her extended family so she had some idea of the pain Joy had gone through.

She was tiny compared to the elven woman but she was smaller than most people.

Yuko looked confused for a few seconds as she looked at Arya and Luck.

Why would an elven ambassador be here for her? It was a question she couldn't see an answer to right now.

'we will leave you to your meal and go have one ourself before we see Wolf"said Elven Ambassador before he and his wife bow and go to another table

"it's ok Kitten you see"said Luck before going back to her meal

"Bye" Yuko replied and looked back to Luck before eating her dinner again.

"Thanks Luck" she also added still looking a little confused. This was still a mystery to her and this showed in her face.

"now lest finish our food then see the moive" Luck now say

"Food and a movie sounds good" Yuko replied thinking that in less than nine months time she'd be popping out twins.

So she'd have as much fun as she could before she became a mother.

so she continued to eat her seafood pasta enjoying it.

"so what playing" asked Luck as she finish of her food

"Yuko what would do you want to do after the moive"asked Arya as her tiger rested her head on her lap

"I'm not sure Arya. Have you any suggestions?" Yuko replied and having finished her dinner petted her own tigress.

With enough hints having been dropped earlier of what the wives got up to Yuko was open to suggestions for afterwards.

'well how about we play black jack have drinks and just go with what every heads our way as we hve fun"said Luck as she place money on the table for the meal

It looked like it would continue to be a girls night as Yuko rose from the table and smiled at her companions.

with the group back together Arya leaded them to the theater which was showing the moive
