There was already a Neo-Kirisuban embassy and the resident Ambassador let her people bar a few security guards join the celebrations.

These defence force women would get their chance later as they kept patroling the embassy grounds with their M16's slung and daggers scabbarded.

The civilian employees and five unarmed off duty guards already had made themselves at home and these women were ready to join the celebrations. Ambassador Kimiko Watanabe would be involved in the more formal celebrations of the aniversary (watching parades, receptions, balls etc).

Her unarmed staff were free to join in and they would enjoy themselves as they dressed in local fashions.

OOC: This is simply a demonstration of what happens to smugglers if caught.

IC:
Terry Long was getting a front row seat to the Chesapeaken Civil Guard in action.

The man in front of him in the Custom's line had just had three kilos of ecstasy discovered in his luggage.

Now everyone could see why the Civil Guard units were not messed with. They were not kind with how they meted out justice. They were indiscriminate, efficient, and quite unfriendly. They man ahead of Terry was currently being bodily pressed up against the terminal wall, and a Guard officer had his FN M49 pointed at the man in such a way that the would-be smuggler would be killed instantly if the officer opted to open fire.

Another two guards were forcibly holding the man's hands together as they handcuffed him. The helmeted military police officers then spun the man around and the one brandishing the rifle prodded the man in the back to make him start walking. Four other guards accompanied them as they forcibly pushed the man through the security/arrestee exit.

Clearly, the Chesapeaken Civil Guard was not known for, well, civility.
