AP -- Thousands of Neo-Nazi protestors took to the streets today in what was supposed to be a peaceful protest against the "communists" in North Point's government.
A recent political survey ranked almost every civil servant as a right-leaning moderate, something that also represents most of the country.
Anchor Point City, normally a quiet tourist town, was overwhelmed with chanting protestors this Friday. As they became increasingly violent and aggressive, North Point's national guard servicemen in the city were mobilized. Our troops formed a line of HMMWVs and M2 Bradley IFVs between the protestors and city hall.
North Point's Demonstration Acts ban the use of deadly weapons by protestors. It also grants police and military forces the right to retaliate with deadly force if protestors become violent. About an hour into the struggle, many of the crowdmembers produced pistols, broken bottles, knives, and Molotovs -- and immediately attacked the closest guardsmen. In all, 23 of our brave troops were caught off guard and killed by the mob. Lt. Col. Dalton Caldwell, the commander of the 114th Guard unit sent to control the riot, ordered his men to open fire, in accordance with North Point policy. 124 protestors were killed by a lethal crossfire that was, in the words of an Anchor Point policeman, "professionally executed".
Cdr. Ian B. Roberts, Sun International CEO and president of North Point, issued the following statement:
"Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. While the loss of any life is a tragedy, we must remember that all North Point citizens are well versed in their country's laws and regulations. These men knew what they were getting into when they first fired on the 114th. Let us hope that justice has been properly served. Thank you."
A Gallup poll recently conducted shows that 95% of the populace supports the action taken by the 114th Guard unit, while 3% are unsure and 2% find it unacceptable.
