OOC: Now, i am well aware that by opening this u[ to all, i could get bitten in the ass but, should TRBI's larger allied nations show up to defend him, I will not go runing for help however, I expect TRBI to accept the consequences of his IC spin doctering on Exetonia and a few other nations words....

Important things to note are that the Exetonian military is not in perfect shape. At this point in time, a lot of naval aircraft and vessels are lying rusting awaiting their replacements from UEMS as are several military vehichles but, she does have the power to go into TRBI and effectively attempt to curtail anymore 'unwise' propaganda..

Exetonia will not be trying to overun TRBI but mreley put it accross to them that if they want to spin doctor our responses, we'll give them what they are effectively asking for.. its a flex of mussles and a show of strength rather than a 'turn the nation into glass' episode.

It is with heavy hearts that the Exetonian Government have hereby declared an open state of war on TRBI This was never our intention from the moment we first initated diplomatic contact to lay out very stringent cotrols over where this 'new empire' may settle with regards to exetonian territories.

Their continued 'spin doctoring' of our words and lumping us in with some on existant axis of evil have forced us to take action to prevent TRBI from being able to continue to do this.

To this end, the Empire is automatically eleveated to DEFCON 1 and all forces are hereby recalled to active duty. Our military may be nowhere near 100% of its effective strength due to being in the middle of retcon actions but we are sure that we can accomplish what we wish to achieve.

Good evening comardes, we start off today with a situation threatening to boil over between Exetonia and The Ryou Black Islands. As you all know, President Nevsky opened relations with Exetonia several weeks ago in the hopes of welcoming another nation into the international brotherhood of Socialist nations. Our new ally is at odds with TRBI over accusations of spin doctoring and territorial disputes. These two nations are drawing ever closer to war but Governm,ent spokesmen today, in a bid to calm rising questions and uncertainties stated that: "Kulikovia will retain alliance status and continue economic transactions but will not engage in war nor supply troops nor war materials incase war should break out"

In the same conference they stated that the KPAF will defend an ally if the situation becomes dire or Kulikovian interests are threatened. As of now, government and military officals denied any inclinations that the KPAF is mobilizing for any campaign or support activity. At this time, officals are monitoring the situation and praying for the best.

The Chemelnki government in the pursuit of stability and diplomacy is willing to send forces to Exetonia. Chemelnki would be glad to help and is angry with TRBI for what they have done. Although this is a small nation Chemelnki will send what it can. Aid will come but it could take up to three days to come. The bitterly cold weather was only amplified by shore-side dockwork. As the first of many thousands of long convoys began to arrive for loading, the harbor became ten times more crowded with both workers and military personnel than usual. As troops arrived by companies, the yardmaster had to zip across the lot in a frenzy to ensure the correct units were placed on the right ships. It would be a long day.

Sir, Admiral Wallace Jellicoe, Commander of the Royal Grand Fleet, got his orders only moments after Chancellor Alexander has issued them. His two task forces were to make 28 knots or better towards the Black Islands effective immediately. Orders were to eliminate all naval threats prominent to engage troop transport routes, and to clear airspace of hostiles. Very vauge and wide orders for this kind of mission. Something big was clearly afoot.

OOC: As you can see in my factbook, i do NOT have a balloon inflated military. I do not posses the capability to raise a billion-man army without crushing my economy, like so many nations here on NS seem to be able to. I play a very realistic RP, and i expect only the best.

The Soveriegn Kiravian Colonial Empire fully declares neutrality in this conflict for the time being. However, should the conflict become a defencive one on the part of Exetonia, the Kiravian Empire will intervene on their behalf.

The call had gone out from the Governnment, the vote had been passed and the declaration sent. No sooner than an hour after the initial declaration had gone out, there were several diplomatic messages sitting in chambers...

Whatever happened now, Exetonia was very much beginging to look like a self obsessed empire becoming more and more issolated from the International world.

The Government had no idea how the hell it could back out now.. the only viable options were losing the war or winning. They did have their nuclear arsenal but held a firm belief in MAD meaning they would never fire them in anger, only ever as the last resort. Besides, this wasn't the peoples war, this was the government of representatives war.

Orders had gone out to the military chiefs both on the mainland and the 2 precinct islands. Mobile equipment wise, exetonia would be at a disadvantage but, they would make the most of what they had. 1 carrier group (see ooc thread) for each of the three parts of the states could be on active duty within 48 hours with another two brought out of mothballs within 5 days.

There were enough active frigates and destroyers to cover these fleets but the battleships had been scrapped pending the arrival of new ones from UEMS On the aircraft front, exetonia had at least 1000 aircraft of various types avaliable should they be required but it would be at least 4 days to get up to half strength and a further 3 to finish repairs on mothballed aircraft.

As for the army, it was T-80's and BMP-2's all the wy as well as te artillery support the land froces would require. it was decided however that TRBI would not be invaded, the forces would be better used protecting Empire assets whilst the navy could be used to harass the TRBI forces...

It was unknown just how big a resistance Exetonia would be facing should the navy/airforce go anywhere near TRBI but it was hoped that despite threats it would be minimal.

The Commonwealth of Conch Arcipelago will take this time to offcially declare our neutrality in this conflict. being as we are new to the international community at large, we feel that we do not have a full understanding of the particulars underlying this conflict. Therefore, the following points are in effect:

1. All warships and aircraft from all nations involved in this conflict are hereby banned from Conch Archipelago territorial waters and airspace. Conch Archipelago military forces are on High Alert to enforce this ban.

2. All civilian shipping from nations involving themselves in this conflict is subject to search upon entering Conch Archipelago territorial waters.

3. Civilian aircraft from nations involved in this conflict are subject to search upon touching down on Conch Archipelago soil.

4. Citizens from all nations involved in this conflict that are currently within the borders of the Conch Archipelago are required to register with the Ministry of Internal Security in the next 24 hours. Citizens entering Conch Archipelago after 1200GMT will be automatically registered.

5. Citizens of Conch Archipelago who are abroad within the borders of the nations involved in this conflict are strongly recommended to withdraw to nations outside of this conflcit. Requests for aid may be sent via the Coconut Telegraph.

Urgent Message to the Government of Exetonia

It is obvious to us that your government have not completed all the homework on the Ryou Black Islands. Ryou is honoured and well respected member of the Holy Empire of Stevid and will rush to the aid of her allies. Ryou has recently come out of two internatinal wars and one civil war and thus is in danger of actually losing this war. The statements from your government stating the reasons behind this declaration of war are viewed as lies and propaganda and is simply and blatent attempt to exploit and defeat a weakened nation. We are well aware that Ryou does not carry many international friends (If any at all outside of the Empire or allies of the Empire). While Stevid is imperialist and favours and interventionist policy, we will not standby and allow some foreign body to attack and invade and loyal dominion of the Empire.

We advise Exetonia to cease hostilities or we will be forced to interfere. We would not usually do so because Ryou has often demonstrated the ability to defend itself, but after the recent conflicts- we WILL step in and stop this conflict by force or any other means if necessary.

Just as Exetonia had expected, the might of Stevid threatened to take on Exetonia should she invade TRBI. This would have caused Exetonia to be wary except for the fact that Stevid has labled the Exetonian comments as lies and propaganda, and that despite evidence to the contrary would strike against Exetonia should a war break out.

Perhaps the Government had jumped the gun too soon but it was to late to go back now. Better to fight and face the consequences of the actions put into motion than to back down and look scared in the face of what was quickly becoming astronomical odds to a succesful execution of the campaign.

The Exetonian Government had dug the hole with this declaration, she would damn well dig her self out of it and hopefully not have any citizens hurt in the process.

Forces were being mobilized as fast as was humanly possible but before any action could be taken suitable plans of action had to be drawn up. Spy sattelites had to be maticulously repositioned to get a scope of things.

All this would take a week or more meaning that as far as an offensive strike would be preferable, it would likely not happen before either Exetonian or TRBI + her allies naval commanders ot trigger happy.

The only paranoia is on your part. You see a conspiracy to destroy the Ryuo Empire and its people, everywhere based out of a nation that has gone into a isolationist peroid and hasn't contacted the outside world in months. You spewed libel and slander at the nation of Exetonia. You called them terrorists and threatened them with violence. You threatened to kill his people for entering with in a thousand miles of your country. This war was caused by name calling and verbal provocation on both sides. Its like a couple of kids, you both knew that this would lead to a fight, you only had more patience, which surprised us greatly, because of your nation's quickness to war. The reasons for this war are childish, and you must live with your poor choice to resort to immatture name calling.

OOC: The following is a summary of a meeting behind closed doors, it is here as it is pertinent to the story

Inside The Exetonian Government of Representatives

Worried about the war possibly being a prominent threat to civilian shipping and airliners the ministers for Trade and Export from the 3 precincts of the Exetonian Empire (Exetonia major - The continent, Exetonia Secondus - The first Island precinct 1,500 NKM to the North of Exetonia major and the Isle of Exe, the second Island precinct located 1,250 NKM due West of Exetonia major) requested and were granted an immediate audience with the Exetonian Strategic Command Office.

The meeting lasted little over 2 hours with both side bantering back and forth about how the Exetonian military could guarentee the safety of any commercial freighters and passenger carriers crossing from Exetonian major to the two Island precincts and back again. By the end of the meeting with both sides considerably flustered due to the current situation the following was decided:

1: No military equipment was to be carried aboard civilian ships or aircraft. All 3 areas of the Empire should be sufficiently stocked due to the current state of the military to continue re-arming and repairing the fleets, aircraft and armoured vehicles.

2: Despite the drain on the Exetonian Navy, 1 AWACS frigate would be supplied to escort every 3 ships between the 3 areas of the Empire.

3: No civilian and private fleets were to be less than 9 ships in strength.

4: All civilian aircraft would be provided with a fighter escort in the hopes of preventing any attacks

5: In the result of anything untoward happening to a civilian vessel or aircraft, all commercial activity by both air and sea would be ceased and cruise missiles would be launched against strategic targets within TRBI (ooc: non nuclear/chemichal/biological of course)

It was hoped by both parties that this would prevent any attack on civilian shipping or air travel. Of course, Strategic command thought all of this unnessicary, no nation would atack and destroy/sink civilian aircraft/ships, that would bring down all manners of hell upon them.

With this deal signed, the first aircraft carrying passengers began to take off from Exetonia. At the same time, commercial shipping was halted for 2 days until the AWACS frigates could get up to full operation status.

Life in Exetonia would, for the moment, continue as normal.

The strategic Command Office were happy to report to Exetonia that Task forces Alpha, Beta and Cappa were, as per normal operational procedure on alert status and making best pace back to their respective waiting points of the coast of Exetonia and her two island Precincts.

The Government of representatives were well aware that this left them severley out gunned in an all out naval conflict but they also knew that it would take a while at best pace for any oposing fleets to reach the mainland, the Island precincts on the other hand were a completley different kettle of fish.

The Government of representatives very quickly motioned for the Strategic Command officer to expidite both land-based and airbourne defenses on the two islands. Holding them would be imperative should any of TRBI's allys have the Audacity to bring the war to Exetonia rather than defend TRBI

On the continent however, the priority would remain as getting as many ships as possible fully active from peacetime standby and getting the mothballed but yet to be scrapped ships re-stocked and refueled to get back onto the ocean.

It looked like this war could very much become a war of attrition!

Theyve manged to get one complete wing of F117A's operational and ready aswell as a squadron of B-52 Bombers. they are at your disposal. The airbase is maintaining full alert status and awaiting further orders."

The Minister turned to the runner and stated "Tell the Air Marshall that the base is to maintain operational readyness. As much as i would like to order a bombing raid on TRBI right now, we do not have the supporting foreces in place to mount such an attack. We could expect swift retribution if we did." He paused, "whilst you are at it young man, please tell the Commander in chief of our ground forces that I need an immediate status report of how many units he can get mobilized in the next 24 hours."

The Ryou hd also had readied for any attack by the enemy. Anti-Air Craft weapons and Anti-Missile defenses were readied for any enemy attack. To combat any Ships or planes trying to enter Imperial Waters, Early warning Radar Bouys were placed in the water to make sure the Ryous had time to prepare for enemy attack.

In Space, Imperial Spy Satellites were over Exetonia to make sure the enemy fleet or air force would not leave with out The Ryou knowing.

Air Patrols were flying day and night in all Types of Weather.

The Ryou were ready for anything.

The Exetonian socialist Empire looked very carefully at the letter from The World Soviet Party. It pleased them to know they still had friends after their 'irrational action but they knew all to well that there was no chance they could accept any form of aid from them If it became public knowledge all hell would break loose and the could find themselves in a war they didn't want to commit to.

The decision was taken not to respond until it was clear how TRBI were reacting. However, in all of this, there was some good news. The Carrier task group Upsilon Theta had finished prepping and was now gettinbg ready to leave port in Exetonia Secondus. This meant there would now be more air support in that region although the task group would be open to enemy fleet attacks until another supporetive task group could leave port.

Things were also progressing well in the other principality. Although it would still be another 12 hours before the defensive task group in port there was fully fueled and ready to go, she was in 100% condition.

The 2 major airfields in the principality also relayed that they would reach full operation status within 4 hours.

Meanwhile, strategic command was preparing to activate the Exetonian Continental ICBMS for decisive strike action. They would still, however need to wait until 5 or 6 spy sattelites could be gotten into an orbital path that would take them directly accross TRBI

The Ryous had now started their plan as from Shai Island Air Force Base, 200 R-80 Banzai Bombers and 400 GTX-80s were soon fuelled and ready for the first attack in the war, the Invasion of the island of Exetonia Minor. The Air Attack would be fallowed close by a Sea Born Invasion of The Island by the Ryou Army and Marines.

"Not good at all sir, the airfield only has 2 flights of F-15E's combnat prepped, we could get all our carrier aircraft up, but its going to take to long.. We may have 90 aircraft up by the time they reach us and that sure as hell isnt going to hold off whats coming in!"

"I damn well know that. Send immediate word to the governors office in Exetonia minor to sound the air raid sirens and to get those fly boys airbourne. We cannot afford to lose aerial supperiority in that precinct, her navy is still multiplr hours away from combat readyness and without airsupport, shes a sitting duck!"

The Soulian Nation has pledged to assist Exetonia in this war, however our actions will be purely defensive in nature. Nor shall we issue K.O.S. orders for Ryou ships/planes/soldiers etc. nor any of Ryou's allies. There will be instead, three attempts to contact the incoming combatants and inform them that they are to leave Exetonian Airspace immediately. If there is no response, or a refusal to listen after the third attempt at contact, then Soulian Forces will open fire in an attempt to wound or disable said combatants. If they proceed beyond this point, then Soulian Forces will aim to remove the combatants, by any means necessary.

2. Given that Exetonia lies on either side of a nation which had openly announced its intention to acquire an empire, but reacted extremely, We believe that both sides are justified in feeling nervous towards each other.

3. The refusal of the Empire of Ryou Black Islands to respond to our earlier messages to them does not fill Us with confidence that they have changed their ways.

4. We will not support either side, as Exetonia is the aggressor, and the Ryou Black Islands has failed to convince Us that it has abandoned its old, bullying, expansionist ways.

It has come to our attention that TRBI has initated agressive action against Exetonia, therefore we see it as our duty to defend Exetonia. We will send the elite soldiers of the Marked of Heggie (1000 in all) to help in the defence of our ally.

The Marked of Heggie are trained in all arts of modern warfare, but there are only a small number of them, they come supply with the standard armour e.g. helmet, bullet proof vest, etc. They are each armed with a SA80, a desert eagle pistol and a swiss army knive. To add to this they also come supplied with 100 RPGs and 100 L96A1 sniper rifles. Also they will come ready supplied and will help in the building of fortifaction if nessacary, they should arrive within 2 days in fair weather.

They are ready to be sent to you and are awaiting your confirmation and the co-ordinates you wish them to arrive at.

An Open USIH Government Statement on the recent events

The Departments of State and Defence have been monitoring the ongoing events carefully. The United States of Independent Hitmen does not want to see conflict in any area of the world, war being detremental to the development of the human race as a whole. President Anderson looks very unfavourably on nations with blatent war mongering intentions and encourages diplomacy and negotiation wherever possible.

As such the President urges all sides to reconsider this rash action and to engage each other only across the negotiation table. This war is in the interest of neither nation and will ultimately damage both of them, perhaps even beyond repair. Neither is this a matter for international intervention from powers not previously allied with either of the two belligerents. The United States of Independent Hitmen is a faithful ally of the Holy Empire of Stevid and is duty bound to answer a call to defend her. An attack on the Holy Empire is an attack on the Independent Hitmen, no matter what form it takes.

The inherent difficulties in amphibious warfare mean that this is likely to be a long drawn out conflict that will create huge casualties on both sides. To our knowledge both powers are also nuclear powers and as such the United States does not wish to see an escalation that could lead to mutual destruction. To this end the President offers all sides the oppurtunity to send delegates to the IH city of Gillen to discuss the problems and work out a suitable compromise that does not lead to bloodshed.

In the meantime, if the Holy Empire of Stevid is attacked it shall be at the gravest consequences for that aggressor. The United States military is second to none and has the assets to project power anywhere in the world at a moments notice. Quite simply there is nowhere to hide and no way to fight. Our military is a deterrent and has been used as such for many years, but it is also ready to fight for the rights of our allies wherever they are in the world.

The government of Exetonia; your reasons for declaring war are poorly thought out and defy rational explanation from the State Department. However as a sovreign nationstate you have the right to do as you please with regards to any policy or declaration that you may choose to make. Your rash actions in this case have put your citizen body, national infrastructure and international standing at grave risk from TRBI retaliation. We encourage you to reconsider your course of action and to meet on the negotiating table to discuss any grievances that you may have with TRBI's propaganda or perception of your nation. We believe that, for your own sake, a war is not in your best interests.

To foreign belligerents who may use this as an oppurtunity to 'land grab' from a weakened power by allying yourselves with one or other side we say this. This matter has little to do with you. As stated before the USIH looks very unfavourably upon belligerent nations interfering in internaional business far from their own sphere of interest with little or no reasoning for compounding the already existing problems.

For now the USIH military remains at its previous alert level. President Anderson is prepared to deploy peacekeeping forces to prevent bloodshed if all involved nations agree to mediation. In line with this the IH 15th Fleet has been ordered to the region from its base at PortHaven and the 167th and 169th Infantry Divisions have been ordered to prepare for a peacekeeping mission.

The Air Fleet would take time to get to Exetonia Minor as it had to get refuelled viva air tankers, so it was to be till later that any action would take place. The Planes were being Refuelled.

The Fleet it self was going Slower. It was hit by a Thunderstorm, since at This time of year, Terrorble Storms hit The Xanadou Region, and that was just before The Typhoon Season starts. The Fleet was pounded by Lightning and Wind and waves. The Dragon's Katana rocked back and fouth on the waves of this Storm.

He did not appreciate being ignored, and to assume his threats were veiled and weightless was a mistake indeed. He ordered his Foreign Minister, Mr. Watson, to again reiterate the statement which they had previously issued, with an attached additional message carbon copied to all parties included. This would be a more forceful demand for a peace conference to be held in the Rhodesian city of Bulawayo, and should this request be ignored the Rhodesians would have no choice but to intervene. As most of the parties involved were friendly towards the Rhodesian Government, particularly respective Amazonian Beasts and the Ezaltian Governments, Blair knew that he need not fear reprisal from them. However should the Governments of the Ryous, who had thus far appeared to have a friendly leaning (though Blair hardly was concerned with them from a military standpoint) towards the Rhodesians and the Exetonians would no doubt be thankful for a relatively peaceful intervention, the Stevidians were the wild card in this entire affair. The Rhodesians had never had any actual contact with them on a political level, but knew they were a power on the same level as Rhodesia. A shooting war with them, especially over something that in all actuality had little strategic, economic, or political value to the Republic would be an idiotic move. However, Blair felt that with Ryous again extending what military muscle they had, it would be a mistake letting them know that their actions would go unchecked, especially after them placing themsleves so close to the African Continent and Rhodesia itself! Less than one hundred miles off the coast of Dar Es Salaam in the Comoros Islands, the Ryous were establishing a trading colony which, should they become imperialistic (as was their perceived nature), would potentially result in an invasion into Africa itself. Blair would not allow this. While the potential to make a profit off the Ryous was there, and no doubt would remain, the threat could not be ignored. While Dar es Salaam did not belong to the Rhodesian Government, a few hundred miles inland and to the South, the Zambesi River formed the northern most border for the Rhodesian Republic. Any foraying conflict into the Tanzanian territory would be frighteningly close to home.

And thus the Rhodesian Foreign Ministry would send off the telegram which detailed their feelings in regard to this issue, as well as their newly stated demands for all parties therein involved. They would not allow a potential conflict in Africa, this would NOT be allowed to expand. The Ryous must be shown that they cannot operate imperialistically without intervention.

The Rhodesian Government stands by its friends in Binaria. An attack on them shall be treated as an offensive move against Rhodesian interests and will result in potential military intervention. Do not let it come to this.

In response to the Stevidian Empire's, as well as all other nations, statements that they will contribute forces to this conflict, the Rhodesian Government demands that they stand down forces immediately. This is a regional conflict that should be allowed to handle itself without escalation to involve many others. While we Rhodesians have no stake in this fight we do not desire to bear witness to another large conflict fought for useless objectives, and will contribute forces to intervene if need be, and do not mistake our statements for idle threats.

It is our concern, that these islands which are not particularly far from the African Continent, could extend into a conflict engulfing Africa itself. We cannot allow this. Therefore, it seems to be in Rhodesian interests that one of four potential paths be taken. Either A)All parties involved declare and immediate cessation of hostilities. B) All parties save the Ryou Black Islands and Exetonia cease their involvement in this conflict save political statements and overwatching. C) This conflict continues and Rhodesia intervenes on no particular sides behalf. And finally D) All parties save the Ryou Black Islands and Exetonia cease tehir involvement in this conflict save political statements and overwatching, and the Rhodesian Government contributes peacekeeping forces to ensure that the conflict is ended. We can see no alternative to these four paths. Which path is taken shall be made by the decision of the nations involved, we cannot control your actions. We simply suggest, very strongly, that you go along with options B or D.

While Most Ryous, like Grand General Asuka were all out Imperialist, Two leaders of The Ryou Empire were more for peaceful Colonzieing and non-Imperialist Wars. Premeir Khan and Empress Isabella where against any ideas of takeing the Three Islands for The growing Empire.

To ease The fears that The War would spread to Africa. Isabella sent a Message to The Rhodesians.

We shall ensure you that this war will never spread anywhere near your nation, if you are still unsure that it will not spread, You can send your forces into The African Colonies of the Comoros Islands to make sure of it, we will not attack you or any other Nation that is Neutral.

As for peace with Exetonia, We would like that, But Exetonia has to take the declaration of war he did and Burn it, In Public at Bulawayo, in your Nation, in front of The world.

Beth Harbor, Beth - Royal Capitol City

The first of the many dozens of large transports began to forum up in Beth Harbor. The ship of the High Sea's Fleet under Admiral Clancy had arrived to begin escorting the ships on their long voyage to the Black Islands. Some of the larger transports held up to three thousand men on-board, and displaced nearly as much water as a world war two era battleship.

The Grand Fleet under Jellicoe had long since begun steaming towards the Black Islands with the intent to plow the road for the coming masses. Several days of hard sailing still lined the lanes ahead until the first air strikes could begin.

Selected to be the first ground units to be sent ashore, the 7th Royal Army, as part of the 1st Royal Army Corps, was the best choice for an amphibious operation due to it's light mobile nature.

In his office aboard the RNS Empire aircraft carrier, Command Admiral Nelson consulted with General Haig, Ellis, and Tavington, as well as Sky Marshall's Dean and Clayton.

Nelson spoke, "The first units to go ashore will be the 35th Light Infantry Division, who will make landfall on dog sector and george sector, along with the 36th Infantry."

Haig joined in, "Twenty miles east, I will send in the 73rd Special Infantry Division via airborne insertion to establish forward security and to make contact with the Black Island forces."

This time Tavington pitched in, "Following therafter, we'll have the 21st and 52nd Motor Logistics divisions go ashore and set up field operations. With those units on the beach, Admiral Clancy can get the rest of our troops unloaded much faster."

"What's happening at the Ryou Black Islands?" Prime Minister Gary Longridge asked in surprise to no one in particular when he saw the news ticker cross the bottom of the screen.

He watched silently for several more seconds with his brows furrowed, then pulled his gaze away. The Ryou Black Islands, he thought to himself. It rang a bell, but he just didn't know where he had read the name before. He started to sift through the piles of papers on his desk, searching for a document with the Islands in the title. Nothing.

"Melissa," Longridge said, calling up his secretary, "Did you give me anything having to do with the Ryou Black Islands?"

"Yes sir," she answered dutifully. "There was a memo about Exetonia, the nation that the Ryous are at war with. Why sir, did something happen?"

Longridge sighed and rubbed his temples. There was always some nation declaring war on another for some ridiculous reason or another.

"No, nothing," he answered and hung up the phone.

He sifted through the documents again until he found the one with Exetonia in the header. Multiple failed attempts at peace, talk of WMDs, and involvement of multiple countries. Longridge groaned and kept reading. The last thing he wanted to do in a time of war was take sides. He read the nations involved. Ryou, Exetonia, The Royal Code, Amazonian Beasts, DaWoad, Stevid, Rhodesia, Ezaltia... The names of the last two nations stood out. Longridge stopped reading for a moment, staring intently at the paper in his hands. He picked up the phone and called his secretary. "Melissa, would you please get the leaders of Ezaltia and Rhodesia on the phone with me? I think we need to do something about this."

Renee Valencia wasn't expecting a very good day. It had actually begun last night when her daughter Mackenzie's history teacher called saying she hadn't been attending classes and continued with a heated shouting match throughout the night. Another three-hour helicopter flight back to Orielle, the lack of sleep, and a broadside salute from the IES Deus ex Machina instilled in her a splitting headache, so at the urge of the Minister of Education, she returned home, took a handful of aspirin, and crashed on her couch.

An half-hour later, her telephone rang. After a few failed attempts to drag the reciever off the hook, she brought it to her ear. "I swear to God, as long as nuclear war hasn't blown Trivalvia off the map, I don't want to hear about it."

"Sorry, madam, but the Prime Minister of Siriusa is on the line. He says it's urgent."

After a few muttered words about various things the Prime Minister of Siriusa could perform on himself, most only possible for the most limber of athletes, Valencia sighed, "Put him on."

We respectfully request that whilst we are waiting to begin peace talks and bring this ill started war to an end that your fleets do not engage TRBI forces unless fired upon first.

We ourselves have already had our naval ports and airbases torn to shreds by a succesful bombing campaign by the TRBI airforce on Exetonia minor and lost many many lives in the process.

TRBI's pre-emptive strike caught us completly by suprise and having no way to retaliate due to the consequences of said actions, we are standing down our military on Exetonia Minor.

We would request that you take preventative action to stop the TRBI fleet from landing any troops on Exetonia Minor and, let the Rhodesian Peacekeeping forces, should they be sent, arrive in peace.

Pay reparitions to a country that should never have been involved in the first place.. any reparitions you get should be soley from TRBI. We have made no agressive acts so far, we did not request any other nations involvement.

We accept responsibility for the war declaration and we wish to bring this to a peaceabul end however, your terms are not satisfactory.. Even now, exetonian claims of unwarranted expansin by TRBI are coming to fruition and appear to be truth.

Haig thought for a moment. "Send our report to Parliament, the rest of the 1st Army Corps will be needed. If they wont caugh up what we want, we'll get it either way. I don't imagine the Black Islands will contest our buildup here too harshly, since it's just a first stop on the way."

"Roger that sir. Anything else?"

Haig laughed at the thought. "Yeah, tell Parliament we're running low on coffee, some damn fool forgot to put it on the packing list."

The junior staff officer wasen't sure if the General was serious or not, but he scribbled it down nonetheless.

Haig drew a blank notepad from his tunic and braced it against the tank to write his private memo to the Black Island Government.

OOC Your partner attacked me first pre-emptively.. a perfectly legitimate move in war.. I can no longer affectively strike from the closest point to TRBI and If I do.. you and several others would basically have a free land grab exercise so, aftr TRBI's succesful bombing campaign on minor.. the SCO in Exetonia convinced the Government to sit at the diplomatic table and concede early defeat to a clearly much more prepared nation :)

As previously the United States of Independent Hitmen has been monitoring the developing situation carefully. The ongoing conflict has so far been bloody and one sided and ultimately serves no purpose.

It is with pleasure that the USIH notes the Exetonian governments call for a diplomatic end to the crisis. Their motivations, whilst being self serving, are correct and it should be used as an opportunity to have a proactive discussion over the reparations that need to be made by both sides to establish a concrete and lasting peace.

As such President Anderson has instructed the IH 15th Fleet to the region around Exetonia to provide a buffer zone between the two sides to prevent further fighting whilst a compromise is hammered out.

The IH Defence Department wishes to remind all powers that an attack on any element of that fleet will be responded to with the gravest possible consequences for the belligerent power. Similarly if any power continues to attack another without recognising the ceasefire that will come into effect when all agree then the USIH will take it upon herself to enforce the treaty.

IHS New Surrey, New England Class Fleet Aircraft Carrier,
IH 15th Fleet, Somewhere off the coast of Russian Forces

IHS New Surrey was a powerful ship by herself. But when combined with the rest of the IH 15th Fleet she was in another world. The fleet could put nearly two thousand aircraft into the air at any one time, in that respect she was considered a small fleet by IH standards. Similarly barrages of thousands of missiles could be launched against land, sea or air aggressors depending upon needs.

Fleet Admiral Nick Jelfs was on the flightdeck of his flagship and surveyed his command with a wry look on his face. His short ginger hair looked out of place in the beaming white navy uniform that seemed to glow in the mid morning sun. A pair of F-30 Shinden II’s were warming up on the flight deck as they prepared to replace the Carrier Air Patrol that was already in the skies above. Soon Jelfs would need to leave this portion of the deck because another pair of thirsty F-30’s would be landing around where he now stood.

It had only been a couple of hours since he had ordered the battle group to speed up. The call had come through from Fleet HQ at Gillen that 15th Fleet was to proceed at maximum possible speed to the waters around Exetonia and to prevent further conflict between them and the Stevidian backed Ryou Black Islands. Hopefully Stevidian diplomatic pressure would be reining the RBI’s in and it was the job of the IHN to enforce any agreement that would be made and to prevent further bloodshed. However it would take a further two weeks at full fleet speed before they would be in theatre to carry out that mission.

For now the Fleet was split into five Battlegroups, one each centred around the aircraft carriers New Surrey, Favoured, Pride of Gillen, Conqueror and Ferocious. They were all heading in the same direction but spaced out in formations to avoid the chance of collision that such a large amount of vessels would generate. Most of the carriers had aircraft up and training whilst a couple were on maintenance stand downs to keep combat power high at all times. The array of escorts and other capital ships that accompanied all of the battle groups were in similar, varying, states of readiness.

Back in the USIH the 167th and 169th Infantry Divisions were preparing for deployment. All men were issued with white helmet covers with the initials USIH painted on them in black lettering. If it went ahead it would be the largest peacekeeping deployment of IH soldiers since the Lindni civil war.

OOC: and now we have aircraft carriers that can carry 320 aircraft. do u have specs for these things. cause they'd have to be huge and prolly couldnt move very fast at all . . . .plus how are u handling all that hydraulic stress etc. rough seas would be a nightmare

It was at about this time that the Soulian Fleet entered into Exetonian waters. Upon seeing a gargantuan number of ships also in the area, most of which were flying flags unknown to the fleet, the Admiral of the Fleet sent out an open broadcast.


The Soulian Defense Fleet is on station now, and respectfully requests an update as to what the heck is going on here. Due to some satellite issues, we have been out of contact with SHC and are currently not apprised of the situation. We are here to provide defense of Exetonian holdings, as we have previously agreed upon.

When a forgein Army was building up in your nation, when They were NOT Invited to protect it, One had to think what said Army would do once The war ended. Isabella didn't like this war and was glad that the war was ending in Peace.............only that a Army was in The Ryou Black Islands that wasn't needed for Defending.

So she sent a Message to the Royal Code Forces.

For the sake of peace (and to make sure that the talks go well for The Ryou Empire) I ask that your Forces leave the islands at once. Your Forces being here is like putting a Target sign on our Islands, and we can defend our own Homelands our selves since The war is over.

Soulian Fleet, this is thge Exetonian Strategic Command office. Those fleets currently residing within our waters are here as peace keeping forces. they are there to make sure nothing of a hostile nature gets through to us and that we dont try to send any of our rag tag forces through to TRBI..

We feel that in declaring war on TRBI that we may have acted rather to quickly and over a trivial matter and have decided that the best place to end this war is at the diplomatic table rather than through firepower. This is due mainly to that fact that Exetonia Minor lies crippled after continued TRBI bombardment and the fact that with so many nations threating action if we even lift a finger against TRBI that a retaliatory strike would not be possible.

Please liase with the other nations fleet commanding officers as to where best deploy your forces in the area around Exetonia Minor. We thank you for your arrival and the commitment you are making by being here.

Or you could let your current nation die by itself and not be IP-banned. Moron.
