History:
Oblivion can be called a paradise world, filled with many different creatures, many of those that could have achieved sentience, yet something odd happened, instead of one species achieving total dominance, there came three that came to sentience. Those three species came to be known as; The Oblivionates, The Jao-Tan, and The Shang-Ti. For as long as anyone could remember the three species had been warring against each other, neither of the three sides gaining dominance. These wars were waged for over 4000 years with almost no rest. Due to the unique nature of the planet there were no splinter nations within the species, only the three seperate nations of the three species. Then one day, in the year 21,312 AS (After Sentience), a Shang-Ti scholar had a vision from the Shang-Ti God, that in order for any of the three species to live and thrive together they had to put aside there differences and learn to work as one single nation. Grudgingly the three species agreed on this signing a document titled, "The Act of Federation", thus forming what would be then called, "The United Federation of Oblivion"
With a new nation came a new calender, starting in the year 21,313 AS the offical calender of the federation became AU (After Union). In the year 2 AU came a potential threat to the fledgling federation. A mad Shang-Ti misinterpreted a vision he recieved and lead a near suicidal campaign to overthrow the council of Oblivion, and become named Emperor of the Federation. The so called, "War of madness" lasted for 12 years, ending with the defeat of the mad Shang-Ti, who's name has been erased for all time as punishment for his crimes against the citizens of the federation.
The federation spent the next three hundred or so years in relative peace, but one day in the year 321 AU a alien ship crash landed on the surface of Oblivion. The Jao-Tan scientists on the planet dismantled the ship and quickly reverse engineered the technologies found aboard the ship. At the time the Federation had just built a light-speed capable vessel, however it was only a single seat vessel and could not really benifit the Federation. So naturally the ship was seen as a sign from god, it was what the federation needed to finally be able to spread out it's densely packed population outwards towards the stars. However the Oblivionates came to a startling realization, if this ship came from aliens, they are gonna come back and take it back, not knowing what species outside Oblivion were like, the Oblivionates began researching weapons to build battle fleets to defend Oblivion. After eighty years Oblivion had colonized three systems, and were about to colonize another, when they ran into another species, two in the same day.
in the year 400 AU, the UFV Ticonderoga made contact with two unknown alien civilizations, the Garbage Men, and The United Fleets. The Federation made a deal with the Garbage Men, they gave them the remains of the alien ship, and the one remaining body of the aliens who crashed, in return for teleporter technology. The United Fleets became close allies with the Federation, with the Federation successfully helping the United Fleets defend a resource rich planet from two much larger Space empires. Since that time the Federation has grown to encompass 15 systems.

They took it upon themselves to be the military and policing aspect of the Federation, seeing to the safety of every citizen on the planet. Although they lack in physical size, they make up for it by being the planets supreme hunters. They are quick, agile, stealthy, and understand tactics very well. They have many natural defense Mechanisms, chief among them are a natural resistance to climate and disease, Elk Horns, claws, and terrmendously powerful teeth. They are entirely carnivores so they are careful not to waste any meat that they take, and as such are also extreme enviromental activists.
The Jao-Tans

The Jao-Tans are Oblivions Traders, and polititians. They possess sharp senses which make them excellent spies. They also have webbed feet and hands making they excellent swimmers. Naturally they have no defense mechanisms, however this has been countered by the ability to form weapons out of objects from their every day enviroment.
The Shang-ti (or yeti in their tounge)

Don't let the Shang-Ti's looks fool you, underneath that brutish appearence is the soul of a monk. The Shang-Ti are the Religouse society in Oblivion, they will, however, fight for their god. Their soldiers (or Yeti Zealots) are among the most elite forces on the planet. They are entirely Herbivoral, as such they share the same enviromental views as the Oblivionates.

Exports: Raw Materials, Weapons, Navy vessels.

Climate: Extreme Climates, changing between extremely hot and extremly cold.
Info: Antares is unique in it's rapidly changing climate. Seasons last approximatly four weeks long. The only part of the planet that does not experience climate change is the equator of the planet, which is entirely rainforest. Much of the population of Antares lives in the orbiting space station, with the people on the planet's surface being miners or soldiers.

Status: Agri-world
Population: 1.35 Billion Citizens
Exports: Food, Timber, Water.
Imports: Equipment, raw materials, fuel.

Info: Gaia is a temperate farm world, filled with farms, no word except lush can describe the planet. Almost all of the people on the planet are farmers.

The army has always been Oblivion's strong point. Most of her Weapons are Magneticly Accelerated Ballistic weapons, (Much like the weapons in the Mass Effect Universe), although energy weapons are a common sight as well. Most Infantry are versed in some form of melee weapon, mainly a hardened blade of Tungsten wrapped in a field of energy, the soldiers call it an Energy blade (not to be confused with a Blade made from pure energy)

The KSG Assualt rifle:
The workhorse of the Oblivion army, the KSG is capable of firing up to 400 rounds per minute. It is versitle enough to use in a terrains save for underwater and in the cold reaches of space. It does not use "clips" but carries a block of Tungstien in where the clip would go. The tungstein is shaved off by a hammer inside the weapon and is then launched down the barrel. One block of tungsten can last a soldier for up to 800 shots. after which it should be replaced. The weapon is prone to over heating after about 50 continus shots.
Lakota P-99 handgun:
The basic pistol for your oblivion infantry. Like all of the other weapons in the military it fires a tungsten block. This block should be replaced after 350 shots.
Hades sniper and anti vechular rifles:
These weapons are the pinnacle of Oblivion weaponry. The sniper shoots a 50 cal round at supersonic speeds. It is capable of shredding through a sheet of armor about 14 inches thick, although sheilds make it difficult to effectively take down an armoured target. That is why the tank rifle was introduced. It fires a large projectile that imbeds itself into an enemy tanks skin and then after a brief halt the projectile explodes, taking out the enemy shields and leving it open for an attack from the second sniper. Unlike most Oblivion weapons both of these rifles use clips of specialized rounds, as the tungsten blocks proved to ineffecient.
Masher Shotgun:
A powerful shotgun, it, as well as other Oblivion Weaponry utilises Tungsten Blocks for ammunition.
All of Oblivion's soldiers wear a sort of Kinetic armor that stops bullets before they hit the wearer, (again much like Mass Effect), however these sheilds don't protect from melee attacks.

The Council's Hand Commandos:
The elite of all Elites. These men and women are taken from a young age, around the age of ten and with permission of their parents (Who usually agree as these people are feircely patrotic) These men and women are equipped of a downsized verson of the Mobile infantry Powered armor.
They are trained very intensly and are engineered so they have increased reflexes, strenght and speed. They also have nanites that run through their bodies which can repair damage and harness extra muscle power. These nanites if exposed to a bullet can cannabalise the bullet to make more nanites. The armor also allows a soldier to operate in an airless enviroment for upto 90 minutes. These men and women operate in a variety of missions from counter-terrorist duties to Frontline warfare. They are typically deployed in squads of 5. These men and women are equipped with all the new weaponry. These Commandos come in various shapes and sizes due to the three unique Races in the Federation, which leads to many specializations.

A large spherical type of vessel, containing the Federations best weaponry. Weapons include; 78 laser batteries, 120 archer missle pods, 4 battering ram missles, 24 proton torpedo launchers, 1 MAC cannon. It it's crewed by approximatley 1200 crew-men, most of the ship is automated. It also can carry up to 3 companies of marines. The ship size is approximatly 1.6 km in length and half a Km in diameter. Galactica Cruisers have class 6 energy shields.
Tartan Patrol Frigate:
Length 600 meters long, crewed by about 60 men, has 20 laser batteries. Role anti-fighter support.
Hawk Fighter: A Small fighter approximatly 12 meters long. It carries 4 laser cannons as well as a few proton torpedos. It looks much like a E-wing fighter of the starwars universe. It has class 2 energy sheilds. It can also function as a bomber if needed.
Devastator class assualt frigate: A large Firgate capable of taking on capital ships and some battlestations. It has 56 heavy laser batteries, as well as 2 battering ram missles, it can also be outfitted with concussion missles. The Frigate's hammerhead shape allows it to quickly accelerate out of the system should it prove overwhelmed. It's shields are unfouruntly very weak so an heavily armed escort would be nessicary. It can be crewed with up to 250 men. With a length of 1.1 KM. It has an energy shield strength of class 3
Atlas class Super carrier: The atlas Super-carrier is a large ship that does as the name says, it carries ships. It can hold just over 300 fighters in it's bays as well as launch a devestating attack on an enemy from a long distance. It is equipped with a stunning 120 laser batterys as well as innumerable concuisson missles. It also carries enough shuttles to move down about 20.000 soldiers to a planets surface. It's crew can range from 500 to 6000 crew members with room for 500,000 soldiers. It is approximatly 23 KM in length, easily dwarfing any other ship in the Navy. The atlas carries class 7 energy sheilds. It is one of the only ships to carries fighters and bombers, as all other ships are designed with fire power, not fighter capacity in mind.
Oblivion Class Cruiser:
A large 5 Km Vessel. It is the Workhorse of the Oblivion capital Ships. It must be crewed by no less than 5000 men. It packs a monster punch with it's super MAC gun, Nearly 1 hundred Auto turrets, Nearly 200 Archer Pod missles. The ship also carries 3 Oblivion Battering ram missles.
It Has class 7 shields so support from smaller vessels is a requirement. It can carry upto 3500 soldiers.
Warlord Battleship:
A Large support battleship. With a length of 7 km this beast packs a punch. In carries 48 direct laser batteries, and can drain half of a class 10 shielding in 2 salvos. It carries a variety of long-range ballistic missiles. With it's long hammerhead design it can only take limited damage before it's integrety fails. Although it's hard to hit the front it's easy to take out the side of the vessel. to compensate for this it's possibll to disconnesct parts of the ship to prevent it from exploding. It's new jump drive and shape allow it to make quick nearly seemless jumps. it must be crewed by no less than 5500 men. it carries class 9 shielding
Gaius Assualt Frigate:
A small bombardment frigate, it specializes in taking out enemy space emplacements and smaller ships. It carries over 350 missle pods as well as 5 Oblivion Battering rams. It's shield strength is Class 5.
The Oblivion Battle-moon
After a moon has been hollowed out of it's valuable ore, a new project begins. The moon is refitted to become a mobile defence station and transport. It carries around 5000 fighters and bombers each, as well as over 1000 missle pods, 2300 point defence guns, 700 laser batteries, 1 Super mac cannon. Each moon differs in size. Currently the only battle-moon is approximatly 3,474 Km in diameter. It is very strong and can carry up to 1.5 million troops with it. In order to keep this massive vessel running, it requires constant recharge, via fusion energy from it's internal power plants. These plants use hydrogen as a power source, so in order to fuel them it can siphon gases from gas giants to enable it to move around. It's one weakness is that it cannot jump more than once per hour and that if boarded the battle moon could be easily attacked, due to the amount of space in the vessel. It carries class 10 shielding. the most powerful in the navy.
Novus Stealth Frigate:
A Small, fast, well armed Frigate. If the Galactica is the Broadsword of the Federation's fleet, then the Novus is the Scapel, capable of surgical strikes, and lightening fast insertions deep inside enemy lines. It's state of the art stealth systems can hid it from any enemy sensors, for only a few hours however. The Ship is armed with class 7 shielding, 1 MAC Cannon, 10 Archer Missle Pods, and 8 Auto Cannons. The Ship is approximately 300 meters long. It can carry up to 100 troops into battle.
The Oblivion Battering Ram is an innovative missle system that can be set to an ionic missle or a kinetic Nuke that makes use of massive energy conversions. The Ion missle can be set to a certain ship model and it will calculate how much energy it needs to take out every system in that ship, save life support. The kinetic nuke is a very powerful weapon that is capable of destroying nearly half a planet and is only used in moments of sever desperation.

It is equipped with a stunning 120 laser batterys as well as innumerable concuisson missles. It also carries enough shuttles to move down about 20.000 soldiers to a planets surface. It's crew can range from 500 to 6000 crew members with room for 500,000 soldiers. It is approximatly 23 KM in length, easily dwarfing any other ship in the Navy. The atlas carries class 7 energy sheilds. It is one of the only ships to carries fighters and bombers, as all other ships are designed with fire power, not fighter capacity in mind.
Oblivion Class Cruiser:
A large 5 Km Vessel. It is the Workhorse of the Oblivion capital Ships. It must be crewed by no less than 5000 men. It packs a monster punch with it's super MAC gun, Nearly 1 hundred Auto turrets, Nearly 200 Archer Pod missles. The ship also carries 3 Oblivion Battering ram missles.
It Has class 7 shields so support from smaller vessels is a requirement. It can carry upto 3500 soldiers.
Warlord Battleship:
A Large support battleship. With a length of 7 km this beast packs a punch. In carries 48 direct laser batteries, and can drain half of a class 10 shielding in 2 salvos. It carries a variety of long-range ballistic missiles. With it's long hammerhead design it can only take limited damage before it's integrety fails. Although it's hard to hit the front it's easy to take out the side of the vessel. to compensate for this it's possibll to disconnesct parts of the ship to prevent it from exploding. It's new jump drive and shape allow it to make quick nearly seemless jumps. it must be crewed by no less than 5500 men. it carries class 9 shielding
Gaius Assualt Frigate:
A small bombardment frigate, it specializes in taking out enemy space emplacements and smaller ships. It carries over 350 missle pods as well as 5 Oblivion Battering rams. It's shield strength is Class 5.
The Oblivion Battle-moon
After a moon has been hollowed out of it's valuable ore, a new project begins. The moon is refitted to become a mobile defence station and transport. It carries around 5000 fighters and bombers each, as well as over 1000 missle pods, 2300 point defence guns, 700 laser batteries, 1 Super mac cannon. Each moon differs in size. Currently the only battle-moon is approximatly 3,474 Km in diameter. It is very strong and can carry up to 1.5 million troops with it. In order to keep this massive vessel running, it requires constant recharge, via fusion energy from it's internal power plants. These plants use hydrogen as a power source, so in order to fuel them it can siphon gases from gas giants to enable it to move around. It's one weakness is that it cannot jump more than once per hour and that if boarded the battle moon could be easily attacked, due to the amount of space in the vessel. It carries class 10 shielding. the most powerful in the navy.
Novus Stealth Frigate:
A Small, fast, well armed Frigate. If the Galactica is the Broadsword of the Federation's fleet, then the Novus is the Scapel, capable of surgical strikes, and lightening fast insertions deep inside enemy lines. It's state of the art stealth systems can hid it from any enemy sensors, for only a few hours however. The Ship is armed with class 7 shielding, 1 MAC Cannon, 10 Archer Missle Pods, and 8 Auto Cannons. The Ship is approximately 300 meters long. It can carry up to 100 troops into battle.
The Oblivion Battering Ram is an innovative missle system that can be set to an ionic missle or a kinetic Nuke that makes use of massive energy conversions. The Ion missle can be set to a certain ship model and it will calculate how much energy it needs to take out every system in that ship, save life support. The kinetic nuke is a very powerful weapon that is capable of destroying nearly half a planet and is only used in moments of sever desperation.
