ooc: this is a semi closed thread which will involve nations who have women who have married Theocrat Charier of Fluidism Viriline as well as Fluidism Viriline.

It's a chance to play out the little day to day things that could happen and can expand as necessary.

Life as a theocrats wife was good for both the Neo Kirisuban twins Ari and Aiko Komatsu.

Their old lives had ended and instead of living on a starship they now lived in the Ruby Fort.

They hadn't been here for long but already had got trying out new sports, practiced with their wooden long swords on a daily basis and were getting to know more of the wives.

Like the other young wives they were using the making the most of the sports facilities and the pool. Ari however was keeping her interest in botany alive as she with the aid of a book was trying to learn about native flowers in the garden.

Aiko at this point in time was at the pool doing laps. She'd been an archeology specialist on board ship but figured the legend of the dragons hoard could keep her mentally occupied for a while while they did their duty as wives.

OOC: I'll be RPing all FV nationals. i'll also handle any of the wives whose naions don't join this thread. When they join, they get control.

Altia Aria walked over to the pool where the two Neo Kirisuban sisters were.

She adjusted her bikini and slipped in. She popped up, gasping, and turned to the sisters.

"I have some news for you," she began excitedly. "Do you know Annabell Vaella? You know, from Kurona?"

Aiko swam beside Altia and warmly replied "I don't think we've had the pleasure of meeting yet.

I'm sure it won't be long until we do get to know her although."

Aiko wore a black bikini and Ari wore a red one. The only way to tell them apart right now.

Altia replied, "Well, I guess I'll tell you." She stretched and said, "She's pregnant. She's the first."

Ari who was close by smiled broadly and replied as she swam "thats great news for her and our husband. I wonder when it'll be our turn."

Ari was the more dreamy of the sisters while Aiko was more practical. Another reason why they did things together since Ari couldn't always see the big picture.

'look," said Altia, laughing. 'I know that you and your sister do everything together, but pregnancy is hardly an 'our' thing.

"And hopefully, one day you can have your opportunity."

Aiko chuckled and said "Ari loves the idea of cute babies but I'm sure we'll both have babies at some point.

We've always supported each other so whoever gets pregnant first will have the others help to get through it."

She floated in the pool as she spoke. They were extremely close to each other and had always been that way.

A soldier strode over.
"I heard that you wanted to go to see the Ramraj Festival preparations," she said politely to Altia. "Please just remember to sign out when you do- manhunts are time-consuming."
"Of course," replied Altia politely. "Thank you." She turned to the twins. "The Department of culture makes some preparations for the Ramraj Festival in its district in Urbi Dlal. Do you want to come with me to see it?"

Aiko and Ari looked at each other as they thought about this idea.

"Sure Altia. We just need to get dried of and changed first" Aiko replied being the more confident of the sisters but Ari did look genuinely interested as well. She was also the more curious of them.

Altia confidently strode out of the palace through a side entrance with Ari and Aiko. They passed through a tree-filled path and suddenly entered into one of the few fun-filled parts of Urbi Dlal- the cultural district.

Ari and Aiko had changed into matching cream short sleeved local long dresses as they followed Altia. They also kept their hair free and were enjoying the nice day.

They hadn't seen this yet and Ari looked curiously at what she seen. Aiko was more used to digging up a culture a layer at a time rather than seeing it live like this bit she was also feeling curious.

Neither of them had seen this part of the city before and Aiko smiled cheerfully.

Altia walked through all the color and sound so rare in an Administrative City- and led the sisters into a small building with delicious smells wafting out of it.

"Altia!" an old woman exclaimed, rushing out to meet them. behind her they could see a giant kitchen, producing food for the festival. The woman hugged her. "I haven't seen you for years! You've grown up so much!" She then thrust some bread into the hands of Ari, Aiko, and Ari. "You were always so good at judging bread quality- why don't you and your friends tell me about the cloud bread?"

Ari smiled warmly when the woman seemed so excited and welcoming.

Assuming they had to eat it and give a verdict Ari looked over to her sister and they each took a bite of it.

Bread was fairly unknown in their own culture but already they'd got used to it given the time they'd been living in the Ruby Fort.

Aiko found it quite nice and she warmly replied "I quite like it."

Falis Lacrim curled up in her bed. After playing far too much basketball yesterday, she had become exhausted and had slept for a day. Now she woke up when she rolled off of her bed. Oh, well. It was afternoon, and she really ought to get moving. She started to walk outside, and then stopped when she caught some looks from her friends. Looking down, she realized that she really ought to put on something. She went back and put on a light blue dress, then walked out again to the gardens.

Annabell had the pleasure and distinct honor of being pregenat. To bear the first child of her husband it was beyond honorable. She sat in the sunshine watching her cousin Saeko work the gardens. Saeko hadn't expected to be a wife of a theocrat. She had really always planned on becoming a farmer so her habits were hard to break. "How you feeling Bell?"

"I'm okay. What about you? You have been working forever."

"Ah I'm fine, I love this. It's what I do."

Altia tasted it delicately.
"It's very good, Dadi," she said, "but I think it's a little oversweet. maybe you should use a pinch less sugar."

A gardener walked over to where Annabell and Saeko where sitting. He turned to Saeko.
"Are you sure you don't want to rest? You've been doing this for a while."

Aiko couldn't have been that discerning but she did like the sweet bread, the little smile on her face giving that away.

"So what happens at the festival?" she asked Altai.

"well, the Ramraj festival is in honor of Ramraj," she began. "He's the head of our gods, and the father of some of them. Festivities include parties, parades, athletics, fighting, free food, and entertainment everywhere. The kings and theocrat's agree to audacious requests that would at any other time have gone nowhere, and everyone is in a good mood. It's our biggest annual holiday, lasting for three days. And, of course, as with everything else, the behind-the-scenes work is done here."

the old lady turned to an underling, gave an order to reduce the sugar, and turned back. "i actually started my career due to one of those requests," she said. "When i was a young girl, I always wanted to cook bread for the festivals, because I could be there tasting food a lot- which explains my weight!" she laughed somewhat ruefully. "Anyway, when i was 15 I approached the last theocrat, Bairam, during the start of his tenure at the Ramraj Festival.He was displeased with the entire last generation of cooks, as all of them either used too much cranberries or deviated from the scriptures too much on sacred food, so he was replacing the staff. i asked for a job as a lowly assistant here, and although I was inexperienced, he gave it to me. Now, decades later, i'm in charge of much of production in Urbi Dlal.

"of course, the theocrats aren't stupid. if they feel they made a mistake in hiring you, they'll let you go."

Falis walked oer to Annabell and sat down. She ought to spend some time with the lady of the moment.
"Hey," she began. "How goes things?"

Ari gave the old lady a warm smile as she listened to the story and the reason for the fesitival.

A three day party did sound like a lot of fun and her smile broadened at the thought of it. She had thought about converting from Shinto after she became a wife and was still considering it.

Making a mental note to hit the library and get more information there she asked the old lady "so that was how you started? Its good to see your faithfulness to your duty and my people feel the same way."

Altia said, 'thanks for your time, Dadi. i think I should go now- it's getting late, and we have a lot to see."
"Of course," replied the old woman. She thanked them for coming and watched them leave.
They walked down the road, surrounded by bands of musicians receiving free instrument repairs and tuneups.
"So," Altia said to the sisters, 'what were your lives like back home? I've always liked to hear about foreign experiences."

"We grew up in a high technology world were travel among the stars was normal.

When we came of age at 16 we chose the Exploration fleet and it eventually led to us becoming wives here.

Back home its a tropical paradise with white sandy beaches, green seas and slightly reddish skies.

Our cities are mostly on the coast or on islands and we have vast rain forests as well which are a haven for the native life forms.

We also grew up knowing the ways of the sword although we both went into the sciences" Aiko replied as they walked along listening to the noises and seeing the sights round them.

Altia smiled.
"That sounds fulfilling.

"I and my near-identical sister were- and, i mean, still are- the children of the regional king of Ariatia. I spent my childhood practicing with swords and learning about politics. I lived in a small palace- nothing like the Ruby Fort.

"So, what do you think about life here?"

Smiling Ari replied "We both like it here but I can still do my old job in a little way. I was a botanist. Aiko was into Xeno-Archeology."

"I'd never seen plants like what is in the gardens before. The flora on our homeworld very different but theres some similar looking plants in other parts of Earth."

Ari noted Altia's lifestyle wasn't much different from her own. Growing up in a warrior culture meant she was using a wooden sword as soon as she could walk.

"And your thoughts on your career?"

"I'll probally still have time to start to learn about the plants in the garden even with being a wife.

I'll start there and see what happens but my priority is to the keep the theocrat happy and bear him children" Ari replied. Aiko returned a supportive nod to her sister hearing this.

"Simple and concise," said Altia approvingly. 'But what compelled you to come here? I didn't have much to choose. In order to bind the kings to the theocrat, one daughter of every king has traditionally married the theocrat. I have two elder brothers, but only one sister, and she's 30- too old for the job. So I came, and I can't say I regretted it."

Falis sat there and waited for a while. Realizing that Annabell's mind was elsewhere, she decided to leave. She had not yet had any private time with the thocrat, and was waiting for that to change.

"I've always been curious about other cultures as has my sister. When the news of this offer reached us we thought long and hard about this but the chance to have a completely different life to what we have at home was too good to pass up. There'll be so much to see and learn here" Ari replied.

"Aiko wouldn't let me go off on my own so she went with me willingly. We've never been parted and we're not going to start now."

Altia remembered something and replied, "While on that note, there's a chance for you to see more.

"The theocrat tours Fluidism Viriline every once in a while, and Charier is more enthusiastic than most about it. My dad called me recently, and let slip that he plans to go on one in a week. Now, the theocrats generally like to take up to three of their wives along on their extended trips, and Charier is no exception.

"Personally, I'm interested in going- it would be a convenient opportunity to tour my home kingdom and visit my family again. What do you think?"

"If I was in your place I'd like to go as well. Go for it Altia" Aiko replied canting her head slightly.

Ari gave Altia a supportive smile as these sisters cared for the wives around them as well as for their husband and each other.

"Do you think we'll know soon who our husband will select?" Ari curiously asked knowing there was roughly 500 wives so far. Even without working out the odds of them being selected she knew it would be a long shot if they all got going on the trip.

Once a scientist always a scientist.

"I'm going to," said Altia. "And I've learned from a retired wife that the best way to go about this thing is to make him notice you in the period before he chooses whom to invite. he has so many wives that he cannot pay close attention to all of them, so catching his attention fast usually works. I plan to buy an instrument, actually, and start playing it when he's around. that's why I'm heading to that shop." She pointed to a store with a prominent flute display. "Do you want to maybe try with me?"

"Sure, I'll go with you" Ari replied figuring that a flute would be something interesting to learn anyway.

"Theres flute like instruments on my homeworlds but the usual choice is the Samisen. Its like a guitar only longer necked" she cheerfully added.

Altia walked in, spoke politely to the staff, and purchased a flute with complicated engravings on the sides. She waited for Ari and Aiko- she would head back to the palace after this.

Ari and Aiko also looked over simpler designs settling for identical plain flutes. Neither of them were musical but they'd certainly give this a good try.

So after paying for their flutes Ari asked "Altai could you teach us the basics?"

By now they'd left the shop and were heading back to the palace the way they came.

"Of course," said Altia. She led them over to a small alcove near Charier's exercise room, and started teaching them how to play. Soon they were all laughing at their attempts, and the door opened. Charier stepped out, casually holding a sword in his right hand.

Aiko's attempts were especially comical since they sounded like a long necked goose being strangled.

Ari was slightly better as she worked on her notes and both sisters gave the theocrat a warm loving smile. Their wedding night with him had been heavenly and they would do anything for him.

"hey," he said, walking over and sitting down, sheathing his talwar. "how's it going?" he didn't wait for an answer, thinking of something.

"i have a question for you three. I'm leaving for a tour of the country in a week, and i plan on taking some of my wives along. How would you three like to come?"

Ari smiled broadly and said perhaps too gleefully "we'd love to."

Jumping to her feet she felt like a little girl again and gave him a hug wrapping her arms round him. She looked and sounded excited.

Aiko smiled broadly seeing her sister had taken the initiative again. She knew this way they'd all have a better chance of getting pregnant sooner as well.

Altia said, "of course." She shot a smile at the sisters.

Charier was a bit surprised by the strength of the hug but didn't mind.
"You should pack the day before we leave,' he said. "call me if you have any questions." he turned and went back to exercising.

Ari came down from her cloud still grinning.

"We're going!" she happily said taking her sisters hands and spinning her round.

"We've gotta pack soon" she added only now letting her slightly dizzy sister go and looking at Altia.

(fast forward to the day when they leave)
A servant came by to tell the three women that it was time for them to leave.
"so what do you want to get from this trip?" asked Altia, as they walked toward the jet. She had packed a number of special items conducive to what she wanted.

The twins had packed nice local dresses, two special occasion dresses each and the very special lingerie they had been given as wedding gifts by their old crewmates.

That as well as their sleeping kimonos but they doubted they'd be on for long.

They also packed essentials like lotions, makeup and perfume were wearing and both sisters hoped they had all they needed. One medium sized case each held everything they hoped they'd need.

Now they were ready.

"I'd like to see more of the country and people myself" Aiko replied as they boarded the jet wearing a local long dress each. Aiko's was pale blue and Ari's was lemon yellow.

the plane took off.

'We're heading for Ariatia," said Altia happily. "that's where my family is located."

Charier came in.
"So how's it going?"

"We're good" Aiko smiled back once they were in the air. A take off was the one thing she still had to get used to here. It wasn't like this when a shuttlepod took off.

She gave Charier a warm loving smile wanting him to be happy and to please him. It was her duty after all and there was more than one way to pass time in a plane.

Charier sat down.
"We'll spend the first day and night at the royal palace in Ariatia. the next day, we'll be moving to a renovated hunting lodge in the countryside there, which will be positioned so i can easily access the rest of the area and inspect the land without royal interference. There'll be no staff there- their lodge is about a mile off- so we'll be alone. While this means upkeep will be up to us, we'll have plenty of free time to do whatever we want."

Aiko smiled and replied "we know about looking after ourselves. We bunked for three years on a starship and managed to keep it tidy."

"I'm sure we'll be able to amuse ourselves in the lodge" Ari added gently stroking Charier's cheek with a slender finger.

She smiled over to Altia figuring she'd know what they meant.

Altia knew exactly what they meant. She had packed some items particularly for the task.

Charier smiled. "That's why you were invited." He then left to finish some documents.

A few hours later, they touched down on an airstrip in Ariatia. As they stepped out into the pleasant Mediterranean climate, surrounded by olive and grape trees and gently rolling woods, an old man wearing special robes moved forward to meet them with his retinue.

"Bapu!" Altia cried, running forward into his arms.

Ari and Aiko had both napped on the flight and looked rested and alert for the next part of the journey.

Ari smiled broadly at seeing Altia happy and it almost felt like a day back home. It was a little cooler here but growing up in a tropical world had you used to heat.

The short sleeved long local dress seemed ideal as she carried her case of, her sister not too far behind her.

Already both sisters had a fairly good idea of what they'd be doing once darkness fell and their duty was a pleasant and enjoyable one as they moved to the Theocrats side.

Charier and his wives stepped into a motorcade and left for the royal palace.

The palace was smaller than Urbi Dlal and the Ruby fort but it was also impressive. It was primarily in the style of Italian and Greek architecture, but Indic architecture also had some influence. It was nearing time for dinner, and everyone went into the palace's dining area and sat around a circular table, reclining on couches. Food was brought in- stuffed wild boar and fish, along with pasta and wine- and they were served. Altia ate very little, instead chattering with her family and friends.

King Kristo looked over at Ari and Aiko.
"So may I have the honor of getting to know you fine young ladies?"

The twins had settled for small portions of everything for now and Aiko spoke for the both of them.

"Your majesty I'm Aiko Komatsu and may I also introduce my twin sister Ari" she politely and sweetly replied bowing her head before she spoke.

Ari also smiled sweetly knowing this was a formal occasion. Only the sisters could usually only tell each other apart they were that identical.

"Indeed,' he murmured. "I have heard you are from Neo Kirisubo. What do you think of the country?"

Ari spoke this time saying "we really like it here your majesty. Its a bit like our home planets in some ways since we're used to the heat."

Aiko ate a little of the pasta while her sister fielded the question this time round. They loved living here and being a wife to Charier. Love was also growing and they were devoted to him.

Dinner ended shortly, and after a special musical performance everyone drifted off to their respective places. Charier, Altia, and the sisters were alloted a suite of rooms off to the side.

As everyone settled into their rooms for the night the sisters unpacked their special lingerie and after a shower changed into it along with a silk kimono each.

They also prepared themselves just in case they were needed in the Theocrats room. This was something they were now in the habit of doing as they helped each other with their makeup and hair.

Ari's pony tail was held in place by a pink ribbon while Aiko went for a red one. Now they were ready for whatever their husband had in mind.

Altia walked in yawning. She caught sight of the sisters and smiled apologetically
"I'm sorry," she said, "wrong room." She looked at what they were wearing.
"I may be wearing nothing," she said, "but I won't be joining. We have rules against sleeping with someone in your parents' house." She walked off to her own room and went to sleep.

"Ari," Charier's voice called out from his room. "Would you mind coming here?"

Ari hugged her sister and left the room gracefully heading to the Theocrat's room.

OOC: Altia already wandered out.

The theocrat was reclining in his bed when Ari came in.
"And how are we feeling?" he said, subtly motioning to an empty space next to him.

"I'm feeling good" she purred settling in beside Charier.

Now snuggling into him with the silk brushing against him she added "I'd like you to feel the same way my honoured husband."

She sounded like she loved him and she was tender as she spent this time with him.

'there's no need to tell me I'm honored, Ari," said charier, loosening his clothes a bit. "You can easily do it without words."

Ari helped loosen his clothes a bit more as she tenderly kissed Charier on his lips.

"I know I don't need words" she purred into his ear as her hands wandered over him. Neo Kirisubans were people of action and the twins were no exception as Ari showed her love and devotion in a physical way.

"i didn't think so," he replied, and they went at it for an extended period of time. finally, they were done. Charier lay back in bed.

"When you leave,' he said to Ari, "could you ask your sister to come?"

Ari got dressed again and gave Charier a parting loving kiss before she sent her sister in.

Aiko also snuggled in beside Charier looking happy to be with him. She'd get him ready again as she loosened her belt sash to make his job easier.

Taking the initiative she started with kisses on his neck and shoulders.

Charier gradually loosened her kimono and it fell to the floor. She pulled her down to the bed and rose above her. The sisters' styles were different, he had noticed. Ari was faster and more energetic while Aiko preferred a more extended and slow encounter, but both were highly passionate.

Time passed and Aiko came down from her cloud as she cuddled into Charier. She'd given her love, passion and energy over a longer period of time and now she kept him in her arms.

No words were necessary as she kissed him tenderly while she cuddled. She truly loved him now just like her sister did.

charier dealt with this sister as he had the last, but this time he cuddled her nude form for an extended period of time after they were done.

finally, she donned her kimono and left. he called over to her, "I'm glad you came!"

Aiko waved back to him grinning broadly. She headed to her own room and to bed given they probally would have an early start the next day.

She had sweet dreams about babies as she slept being the more broody of the sisters. Ari loved babies but Aiko's maternal drive was stronger.

(the next morning)
They woke up bright and early. After a large breakfast, mostly filled with various breads, they left the palace. Altia waved back for a long period of time. this time they rode horses.

Eventually they reached a countryside with gently rolling hills and light woods. They came across a large hunting lodge renovated for state business. Charier and his wives got off there. the staff continued to a lodge about a mile off for their use.

Charier went inside and came out with a gun.
"I'm off to fetch dinner," he said. "My being self-sufficient while we stay here helps me to monitor the land and resource levels. Feel free to settle yourselves in and claim rooms. I'll leave the balcony room to you. Also, if you could, I'd appreciate it if you cleaned up a little and checked the firewood level. Oh, and get some water, please- there's a clean pump behind the house."

"we'll do that," said Altia.

Altia spoke for all of them as the sisters got of their horses. Another thing they were getting used to and wearing hakama over their dresses for now.

"I'll see what needs cleaned" Ari replied to Altia and looked round the lodge.

"I'll get the water" Aiko added as the tasks were being divided up while Charier was getting dinner.

"I'll check the firewood," said Altia. She went to the fireplace and saw that the wood was nearly depleted, so she went into the woods and found some. She had a large pile by the end of her efforts. then she went to see how the others were doing.

Ari and Aiko had plenty of practice between life on Neo Kirisubo and on the Empress Midori in keeping a place tidy.

So once the water was in both sisters cleaned the house which wasn't too dirty apart from some dust.

By the time Altia returned they had nearly finished and looking dusty themselves.

Altia took one look at them and playfully dumped some water on their heads.

"Go and dry off," she laughed. "it's hot enough outside for your instant bath to dry quickly. I'll refill the water."

As she went, she could see Charier pulling a deer carcass in a wagon down below.

Ari and Aiko laughed now slightly soaked but the lodge was clean.

The warm day did dry them quickly as they sat outside in the sun. Seeing Charier return with a deer for dinner they went back in once dry and headed up to their rooms to change into a clean dress.

Emerging in matching sleeveless white long dresses they were again identical looking and ready to help make dinner.

After a rather gruesome gutting session Charier left to wash up, leaving his wives to cook dinner. Altia took charge, as she knew the traditional recipes of the area.

After a while, dinner was ready. Charier returned to serve it and they started to dine.

"i'll was the dishes," he said. "Now, I've placed two rifles in each of the bedrooms and bathrooms. We have no soldiers as guards here, and while trouble is not expected, it's nice to be prepared. By the way, Ari and Aiko, do you know how to use a bullet-firing firearm?"

Ari replied "we've shot energy weapons before but not projectile rifles. "

Aiko shook her head backing up this statement. Some crew had been trained with Walther PPK's but they hadn't.

"I'll teach you," Charier replied. "it's very easy to load, and if you can deal with recoil, I'm sure your aim will be good." He paused to think of something. "Oh, yes, I've claimed the room in the corner with the weird furniture. Did you choose your rooms yet?"

The twins nodded selecting rooms that were close together.

"Phasers don't have recoil but I'm sure we'll manage to learn how to shoot" Aiko gently replied showing her confidence in learning new things.

After dinner, Charier washed the dishes and Altia cleaned up and chose a room with a small balcony.

Charier then proceeded to show the sisters how to load and shoot bolt-action and semiautomatic rifles. At first they were totally unprepared for the recoil but their aims swiftly improved. Altia and Charier were incredibly accurate with their shots. Charier never missed a singles target, both stationary and moving.

Happy at least being able to shoot straight once they figured out how to deal with the recoil they found a bolt action rifle easier to deal with.

Practice would make perfect for them.

Evening was falling and the day was cooling off as they wondered what they'd be doing next.

the evening was still pleasantly warm but Charier lit a fire just for a little light- and possibly to set a mood.

They all relaxed in armchairs around the fire. Then Charier kicked his socks off and took off his shirt.

"Anyone feeling energetic?" he asked.

Ari smiled and nodded looking over to her sister who then looked over to Altia.

As wives they were always ready for this part of their duties and Aiko slipped over to Charier's side.

Altia took the initiative here, as she had not had a chance the day before. Her dress went off in a flash, thankfully dropped away from the fire. She then clambered into his chair and started making out with him as she peeled off his clothes and he peeled off her undergarments.

She looked over at the sisters.

"Want to take turns?"

"Sure Altia" Ari replied giving Altia first go this time.

This also meant that one of them could keep an eye out for trouble however unlikely it was to strike.

Aiko took a bolt action rifle and watched from a window while Ari stayed in her seat for now.

After a long time, Altia finished with Charier. She left all her clothes there and walked off to bed, still moaning softly in ecstasy.

Charier turned the chair around to look straight over at the Neo Kirisubans.
"Who's next?" he asked.

"I'll keep watch now Aiko" Ari said she went outside with the gun.

So Aiko moved over to Charier again and slipped of her dress and panties. Slipping onto his lap she warmed him up again with foreplay trying something a little different this time.

Once she was comfortable then the fun really started...

Charier moaned in delight as he held the second woman in his arms. He had made a great choice in travel companions- and then there was still the second sister, Ari.

Aiko was coming down from her cloud a good while later and feeling dreamy and sleepy called her sister in just as she was.

Ari hadn't seen anybody around so slipped the rifle of her shoulder with a broad smile on her face.

So watching Aiko pick up her dress and panties and head to her room she locked the door and slipped over to Charier.

A soft look followed as she undressed and had her chance of playtime as she snuggled into him starting her energetic foreplay.

Charier was in ecstasy. three women in one night...

he really had to go to bed (and sleep there) after this, though.

Ari could see how tired her husband was and took control of this round. It was the part of the job description she liked the best and she knew by now what buttons to push.

Time passed....

She'd given her all as usual and leaving her clothes here too Charier's hand. Perhaps she'd end up in his bed but at least he'd get to bed this way rather than sleeping in an armchair.

She was a very practical girl.

Charier slipped on his own clothes, smiled, and stumbled off to bed. that was good, but he would never do it again.

So with Ari heading to her own room after making sure Charier got to his room she rolled under her covers and slept soundly.

She had to share her husband with her sister and a lot of other women but there was still love and devotion there for him. Happy dreams were the result as babies came to mind.

Charier woke up bright and early. He used the bathroom, shaved, and brushed his teeth. He then considered his next step.

He listened through the lodge- the sisters were asleep. That could be a problem. At court, he had slept with 4 women in a day- two in the morning, and two in the evening. this allowed him to carry out the reproductive parts of is duties and do the administrative and religious parts in the time separating the encounters. Now, however, he had a partially unscheduled day or two ahead of him. He could postpone his activities a bit and change timings around.

he went downstairs, intending to sit outside and revel in the beauty of nature. However, near the fireplace, he saw Altia from behind, bending over to pick up her clothes. Maybe he could get in one woman in the morning. He walked over.

Aiko had slept on making the most of the lie in they were getting. Ari had left her dress downstairs but when she woke up sighing at the earlyness of the hour she padded downstairs after her shower wearing an inner kimono and barefoot.

She was after a drink and some breakfast not expecting what was about to happen but she was ready for anything these days.

Altia and Charier walked Ari enter from their unique vantage point on the floor.

"Hi," said Altia unabashedly. Sexuality was pretty open among the wives, and they had all gotten used to Charier's morning-evening schedule.

"Good morning Altia, good morning Charier" she gently replied getting her drink knowing just how it was with the wives and the husband they shared.

She got her drink first while they played but she hadn't heard about Charier dealing with more than one wife at a time very often. Ari and Aiko's wedding night might well have been the first.

Still she was hungry so made some toast. If she was needed all Charier had to do was ask for her.

Altia and Charier eventually finished. Altia went and showered. Charier meditated for a while, then did the same. He came downstairs eventually.

"I'm going out for a while to check the countryside," he said to Ari, grabbing a thermos full of coffee and a sandwich, along with his talwar and a handgun. "tell Aiko and Altia that, won't you? You three can do whatever while I'm gone, just stay safe."

"I'll tell them my love" Ari replied giving him a kiss before he left. She'd finished her breakfast by the time Altia and Charier had and now they'd have a lot of free time.

So popping into the bathroom and waking up Aiko she told them both. Now they had this time what could they do with it?

Charier strode into the woods. The light was shining, and the green forest sparkled around him. Everything looked healthy enough, though he may have to speak to Kristo about the hydroelectric damming project. Some of these streams looked like they might have been affected.

Altia thought for a bit. "Hey, do you want to go swimming?", she asked the sisters. "There's a lake near here that's very deep but clean."

"Why not?" Aiko replied now awake and getting breakfast.

"I packed a bikini and we could bring towels and a picnic with us" Ari added as the two sisters thought together.

"We swam a lot while back home so a lake would be nice" Ari also mentioned.

Altia led them through a small path in the woods to a large crystalline lake. She was wearing a white bikini and had packed a rifle just in case, along with some food and a towel. She dived in, calling for the sisters to follow suit.

Figuring two rifles should be enough Aiko shouldered a bolt action rifle as they walked.

She was wearing a red bikini under a red kimono and Ari wore a black bikini along with a summer dress.

Once there off came the kimono and summer dress and the sisters dived in. They swam, splashed each other and had fun. Altia got splashed as well as the twins were feeling playful.

Altia dived to the bottom and came up, laughing. She looked at Ari standing on the bank. Upon a second look she realized it wasn't her.

"Oh, gods," she breathed. That was an felon whom had been exiled on pain of death and returned. His face had been on wanted posters everywhere. this situation would require stealth and the cooperation of the sisters.

Ari looked up from her dive to see the man on the bank and recognised his face. She was a smart girl and looked over to Aiko.

Aiko knew he'd stop them getting to the guns so they had to use unarmed combat as well as taking the risk of getting shot while defending their honour.

They conferred briefly knowing the risks and then Ari swam over to Altia.

"He's probally got our guns by now so we can either tackle him ourselves since we both know unarmed combat or stay in the lake until he goes away" she suggested looking unafraid.

"That won't work," said Altia. "duck."

They did so as the shot rang out, diving underneath the water. they came up just in time to see him collapse, his head rolling in the opposite direction. Charier was standing over him, his bloody talwar drawn.

Ari said the same in Kirisuban to Aiko and the sisters ducked under the water.

When they emerged Aiko could see Charier holding his bloodied sword and the man dead in a way the sisters could appreciate.

Swiming over to the bank Aiko got out and ran over to Charier to make sure he was alright.

"You saved us" she also tenderly said to him wrapping her wet body round him as she showed her love.

"oh, it wasn't much," Charier honestly said. he did enjoy the feel of Aiko's embrace, though. "I managed to jump him, and honestly, if I couldn't do that, I wouldn't deserve my job. you need to be a good fighter for it." He paused. "It appears that we won't be having that much leisure time for now, though. I'm going to have to convene the council of kings to lecture them about this disgrace. The man had made an appearance in every kingdom, and yet not one person could catch him. this,' he glowered, "needs to be remedied."

he whipped out a phone and called their guards from their lodge to get their immediately, and then started calling random officials, scheduling a conference ASAP.

Ari also joined her sister on the shore figuring the holiday was over for now.

She started to towel herself dry seeing the need to return to the lodge and being a practical girl shouldered a bolt action rifle just in case.

Aiko untangled herself from her husband and got her own towel. She also knew it was time to return.

Once they returned to the lodge, Charier said, "hurry up and pack your things. We'll be leaving at sunset." He went off to pack in preparation for the conference.

Ari and Aiko didn't need much time changing into long sleeveless dresses once they got out of their swimwear.

They also packed their bags leaving out the hakama in case they needed to ride horses again.

Later that night, security personnel escorted them to the nearest airport. They started to fly along to Tek'Oza.

Back on the jet they were heading to the capital and Ari took a chance to get a nap.

Aiko was awake wondering what just could have happened if Charier hadn't turned up when he did. Could one of them have even been killed trying to take him on?

She looked like she was pondering this very seriously as well and looked deep in thought.

Charier walked over and sat next to Aiko.
"Are you all right?"

"I was thinking my love. We could have died or been seriously hurt.

Its not something my sister or I fears but I was more worried about Altia and you" she quietly said to him snuggling into Charier.

he wrapped his arm around her. "In Fluidism Viriline," he replied, 'we accept death as part of life, and the pathway to a new beginning. I'm a soldier at heart- I would have been fine. And Altia is proficient with weapons and knows how to swim well.

Aiko snuggled further into him.

"Then I worried about nothing after all" she quietly said adding "we'd have taken him on ourselves. We may not have been fighters on our ship but we can fight a bit."

He held her closer. 'i still appreciate it."

"Then our children will probally be warriors as well" Aiko whispered.

She needed to feel this knowing how close they'd come to death or harm but it probally wouldn't have happened if one them had stayed on guard.

"Possibly," he replied. "There's always a large amount of pressure on the children of a theocrat to settle down and have families of their own. This is aided by a slight cut to their career ambitions- they can't take the job themselve, so shooting for the very top is not an option."

he thought for a moment. "Do you want to be near the conference, or do you want to tour the city?"

"Given whats happened I'd rather be near the conference" Aiko replied in a small voice.

"At least theres guards at the conference" she added remembering the usual N-K procedures.

"well, outside the room, yes," charier replied. "the inside holds only the theocrat, the kings, and anyone he calls in for a report or something. And besides, this was an isolated incident. the man was a psychopath, not a terrorist. And the city is secure. However, if you want to be in the building, i'll arrange it."

"If you think its safe my love I'll go on the tour. I know Ari loves tours but I don't know about Altia" Aiko replied feeling reassured by her husbands words.

She trusted him so much and gave him a tender loving kiss to show she did trust him fully.

"it's safe," he responded after she removed her mouth. Then he said, "Excuse me for a bit," and fell asleep until they reached Tek'Oza.

so when they reached the capital Aiko had made her mind up. She would go on the tour.

Shaking her sister awake before the plane landed Ari murmured "you're evil. I was having a nice dream."

"We're about to land so I figured you'd want to be awake" Aiko tenderly replied to her sleepy sister.

So a trip to the bathroom each later they were ready having freshened up, touched up their make up and ready to be at their husbands side as the plane touched down.

As Charier and his wives exited the aircraft, they were greeted by a swarm of officials and soldiers. Charier left with most of the group. An aide then handed each of the wives some money, and told them to stay together as they traveled the city. They were then given a pair of guards, and released into the city with instructions to make it to the Capitol Building by midnight.

"Is your new embassy being constructed yet?" asked Altia as they joined the people in the streets.

Feeling safer with a pair of guards to look after them Aiko replied "I don't know yet but I assume they're here already. It only takes 6 days to get to Earth.

As it turned out the Neo Kirisuban embassy was already up and running with the wire perimiter fence reinforced by a force field to give unauthorised visitors quite a nasty shock.

Ari and Aiko were in the mood to shop as women generally were but were just browsing having no idea what they wanted to buy yet. Sexy lingerie was on the list for sure although.

Charier was already giving the required courtesies to the 9 kings who had just arrived in the conference room. Once their retinues left, he started yelling at them about national security and how they needed to close their borders. After an hour or so, they could start brainstorming.

The guards followed the women around impassively as they browsed the shores.

So starting with lingerie shops Ari and Aiko along with Altia dragged the guards round with them.

Tek'Oza had modern parts as well as the old parts of the city and many modern shops.

Looking over the lingerie Ari looked over to Altia as she looked over a lacy black and strapless bra she liked seeking an opinion. These wives were loving the chance to get out and shop like this especially for nice surprises for their husband.

Alia gave Ari a thumbs up. she was already confident in her wardrobe, and so planned to save her money until they could go to an art shop.

So the sisters got another set of night wear each before heading with Altia.

The art shop was next and the sisters checked what money they had left. The lingerie wasn't that expensive to they had enough to last the trip.

Neither sister was really into art but pretty pictures always were nice.

Altia found a small statuette of a winged wolf running through fog. she bought it and waited for the sisters.

Ari and Aiko had just browsed here and were ready for the next stop.

"Where do we go next?" Ari asked Altia. She'd seen malls like this back home but although they were familiar these seemed to be more personal and suited to the customer.

"Well, where do you want to go?" she asked. "there are various stores and restaurants here, and the city is littered with monuments and temples. In fact, the nation's largest temple is in the center of the city. You must have seen the towers- it dwarfs the skyscrapers."

"Perhaps the temple and then a restaurant" Ari suggested to Altia. This city was a totally new experience to her and her sister which was why they'd stuck together.

She would feel hungry later on for sure. It had been a long day.

'fine,' said Altia.

they walked along for a long time until they came to an enormous building that dominated the region. (OOC: Think a Gothic cathedral mixed with a Hindu temple and a mosque and multiplied by 10, the thing is gigantic). various carvings, statues, and panels littered its sides. Tourists fell to their knees, stunned, around it.

"Yes," said Altia casually. "It's over 4000 years old, and construction still goes on. Want to go in?"

"Wow" Aiko said when she seen the enormous temple. She was a former archeologist but has never seen anything quite like this before.

"Sure Altia" Ari replied. They may have left their old lives behind but they were still curious people and sought knowledge.

The tourists already felt what Aiko did and the sisters knew there was a lot more to see when they got looking inside and at the carvings and statues.

they walked through the doors, held open by a team of elephants, into an enormous hall. Before entering, they were offered earplugs, which Altia advised them to take.

Sounds echoed so clearly in the chamber that there was a perpetual somber droning from the hundreds of footsteps and other noises. Even with the earplugs, they could still hear it clearly. they couldn't hear anyone speak, however, unless their mouth was right by their ear.

Altia led them towards one of several smaller doorways which would lead to quieter rooms. On the way they passed statues and artworks galore of gods and demons. the place was very somber- at least this part of it. The parts devoted to the god and goddess of love were rather risque.

Accepting the ear plugs and looking at the sights with interest Ari and Aiko soaked in what they seen the way a sponge sucks up water.

They were Shintoists and thus used to the idea of polytheism. The god and goddess of love attracted more of their attention.

The carvings certainly were suggestive and didn't pull any punches. A tricorder would have been nice to record the images but they didn't have one. They would just have to remember instead.

"This temple is amazing" Aiko said to Altia her head spinning in awe and sounding a little stunned.

"yes, I know,' replied Altia, dropping her pretense of nonchalance. "It was there since the beginning of our civilization and has been growing ever since.

"it also has some mysteries too. people have disappeared in the massive crypts underneath this place. All the theocrats are buried there."

Aiko nodded taking this information in.

"Whoever carved these scenes knew what they were doing. Its almost like having a pillow book in stone" she quietly added as not to disturb others round them,

Altia looked at her watch.
'oh, gods,' she said. "We're going to be late." She started rushing out of the temple with the sisters in pursuit.

The sisters ran out after Altia having lost track of time in the temple.

They also hoped they weren't going to be late. That would look bad for their husband if they weren't at his side in time.

Eventually they and their guards hurtled through the doors of the Capitol Building and into a random room, where they were surprised to find Charier and all nine kings sitting at a bar in a lounge with some other officials and businessmen. All the drinkers but Charier were drunk, and Altia glared at her dad reproachfully. he was still sober enough to look abashed- Charier merely grinned.

"I suppose we should get ready now" Ari suggested to Altia seeing her glare towards her father. They still needed to get ready for whatever was planned.

Aiko seen Charier looking happy as the men had their fun and gave him a sweet smile back.

After a few minutes each of the kings and their retinues piled into their own cars and drove off. charier and his people, including his wives, did the same. They were in the back part of a limo with tinted glass- the rest of the staff were in different cars.

'We basically spent the last few hours discussing border control," said Charier. "then we decided to kill some time at the bar while we waited for you to return."

"A bit too much time," said Altia.

'A bit," agreed Charier sheepishly. He quickly changed the subject. "So, how was Tek'Oza?"

"The temple was amazing especially the parts dedicated to the god and godess of love.

Its hard to believe its 4,000 years old and still expanding" Aiko cheerfully replied.

Ari relaxed sitting beside Charier with a happy smile on her face. The day had been amazing so far.

"yes, the temple is rather enormous," agreed Charier. I'm currently having some of the towers lengthened about a hundred feet and adding some more space to the crypts, actually. To be honest, I've been having a little trouble with the second part- some of the workmen are paranoid about going down there, and I refuse to waste army personnel standing over their shoulders." he sighed. 'oh, well. Do you want to return to the Ruby Fort or resume the tour with me?"

"We want to stay with you" Ari replied snuggling into Charier in her usual affectionate way.

Aiko didn't want to go back to the Ruby Fort either but while their husband was on business they would have plenty to amuse themselves with.

Altia also agreed.

"That's good," Charier replied. "We'll be going to Charrn next."

A few hours later, they took off in his private jet to Charrn. They touched down in the morning at the chateau where they would be staying.

Another day, another place to move into.

The chateau at Charrn looked nice as well as a restful place. Ari and Aiko who hadn't seen much of the nation still looked at this like a big adventure.

"Tomorrow we'll be going to Haakon's palace and checking out the area," said Charier, lying down on his bed and checking something else out.

The sisters had already claimed their rooms and they were with Charier snuggling into him from different sides.

They had napped on the plane so didn't feel as tired as they might have been and they gave him something heavenly to look at as well. They were wearing matching strappy long dresses which showed a little cleavage and were there so he could relax, play or do do what he wanted.

Charier said, "you know, I don't think that those dresses look too good on you. cre to let me help you solve that?"

Ari looked over to Aiko and Aiko replied "perhaps you can help my love" to Charier.

Both sisters knew what was on there husbands mind and they slid of a shoulder strap each to show they were ready. Ari leaned into to gave him a tender loving kiss while Aiko snuggled in more letting her hands roam.

Charier finished the dress job and got to work. As he went, he decided that he had made a very good choice of travel companions.

So a good while later the sisters had pleasured their husband together and both were tenderly snuggling into him now bare.

"You're so good to us my love" they said together having had good sex yet again and after more of it.

"good enough to forget that conference," he replied.

Altia came into the room, shedding her bathrobe.

"Come on, make some room," she said. 'i want to join the party."

Ari rolled away so Altia could snuggle where she had been and warmly said "theres plenty of room Altia."

Ari had now settled between Charier's legs and would see what Altia wanted to do. She'd take her cue from her and a foursome would be even more fun.

Altia decided to take over the top position, while the sisters continued on the rest of their shared husband.

So the wives kept playing their parts in the shared love making as Charier was pleasured from every direction. They didn't give him a chance to do much as they took full control.

Finally his energy was depleted.

When they'd awake was another matter. They had all been quite active.

Charier woke up late in the morning. From what he heard, everyone but him was asleep. He noticed Ari sleeping next to him and gently got off the bed so as not to wake her.

He was about to take a shower, but when he walked into the shower Altia turned out to be there.

"hey," she said. 'last night turned out to be a bit short for me. Do I get compensation?'

Ari was still fast asleep but after getting dressed after her nap Aiko had gone for a walk in the Chateau grounds.

She knew her sisters would appreciate the gardens as she walked back to the main house.

She could hear Altia talking in the bathroom as she passed and paused quietly outside the closed door. She didn't really want to intrude if Altia was going to get something good.

So heading to Charier's bedroom she could see Ari still fast asleep in the Theocrats bed and nobody else.

Putting 2+2 together she grinned. Altia seemed as if she was about to hit the honey pot.

After spending some quality time in the shower, Charier and Altia actually took a shower. Then they changed and exited. Charier went off to work on some papers.

Altia ran into Aiko.

"Just to let you know," she said, "we'll be visiting a military base today. i thought you might be interested."

Aiko smiled and said "I suppose I'll better wear a sensible dress then. So did you have fun in the bathroom?"

Her smile broadened as she said the last sentence. She had a fair idea of what Altia and Charier had gotten up to and was happy for her friend.

By now Ari was up and getting showered ready to get dressed. She was going to wear a kimono which was stylish and sensible dress for a lady.

"Oh, yes," Altia replied. "it was a very good idea to come on this trip." She went off and changed into a moderately long dress with a vest on top. It was cold in Charrn.

Aiko settled for long red dress as well with a red jumper over the dresses as well as slightly heeled short boots.

Ari wore both parts of a cream coloured kimono that was tied with a gold obi and would be warm enough to wear.

With the sisters helping each other with their makeup and hair they were soon ready.

They piled into their limousine and set off once again with several staff and guards following. After about an hour of driving, they came upon a large military base.

They drove in through several checkpoints and, after parking, walked up to the side of a large building. A man with a name tag saying General Clemens Hess greeted them.

"Welcome, sir," he said, saluting, "and...um, ladies." They followed him inside to a conference room.

Charier turned to his wives. "Look, this may take a while. Do you want to stay, or do you want to tour the base a bit?"

"I think a tour would be best" Aiko suggested looking over to Ari and Altia.

Having been welcomed to the base a place like this would have been familiar to the sisters having lived and worked on a military starship for three years.

A soldier led them out to the talwar training grounds.

"You have a moderate temporary security clearance," he said. "You can't go everywhere, but the basic places are accessible to you."

He turned to look at the grounds, where soldiers were fighting in pairs with real talwars and occasionally shields.

Nodding to show she understood Ari watched the talwar combat for a while seeing it wasn't much difference from fighting with a Kirisuban long sword.

The soldier then led them to a field. It was a complex mix of an obstacle course, a movie set, and an open field. Two teams of men were firing somewhat strange guns at each other and running around it.

"We like to use a combination of laser tag and electrified vests to fake skirmishes every once in a while," said the soldier. "it's good training."

"I see" Aiko replied having had basic military training herself. Even scientists in the fleets needed to do some time in a boot camp.

"We trained in most environments possible back home but my favourite was jungle missions" she added.

"really?" he asked surprised. "You're a soldier?"

Ari didn't look surprised and fielded this question.

"My sister and I served three years in the Space Exploration fleet and although we were scientists we had to learn survival techniques in all environments, how to use the sword and honour dagger as well as the hand phaser.

We're as much warriors as you are" she gently replied to the seemingly surprised soldier.

"oh," he responded. "What's the honor dagger?"

"Its a long slightly curving dagger with an 14 inch long blade and short handle. Its single edged, strong, very sharp and is also lethal in battle.

Our swords unless you are a samurai are a long straight sword thats about three and a half feet long in total length. Its a single edged very sharp blade with a two handed grip and is extremely useful to have in a fight in cramped quarters.

We still use the sword and phaser together and everyone in the armed forces of my world is expected to know how to defend themselves with one or the other of these blades" Ari explained to the soldier.

"And what's a samurai?" the soldier asked in interest.

"A samurai is a member of the warrior class on my world. They are practiced in the ways of the sword and the warrior and would kill themselves rather than surrender.

They'd also die to protect their shipmates and their world and they're fearsome warriors.

They can also do peacetime jobs in the government, defence forces, the exploration fleet and can be found everywhere in our society. They live to serve the people of their nation and our Empress" Ari replied cheerfully.

The soldier was somewhat disconcerted at the mention of ritual suicide. "We do capture and POW camps here, but to each his- and, of course, her- own.."

He started to walk off, then had an idea. "Do you practice with sharp swords?"

"Sometimes we do but usually when practicing a kata. Normally my sister and I would use wooden swords to train with but now we're wives we aren't allowed weapons very often" Aiko replied taking the question this time.

The way the twins were fielding questions in a random order could confuse people and usually the only way to tell them apart was by how they dressed.

"Would you like to practice?" he asked, subtly beckoning a young recruit over.

"I've never used a Talwar before" Ari replied "but wooden swords would be prefered if they are available.

Our husband would be rather upset if we got hurt too badly."

As tempting as this was that was always a risk. If they got hospitalised over this Charier would be pretty upset with them.

"I'm sorry," he said, 'but we don' use wooden swords- ever. here, those are for children- no offense or anything. it's unlikely you'll get hurt, though," he continued, "the man I have in mind is a relatively new recruit, and our soldiers are trained to differentiate between the type of blows used in sparring fighting and real fighting. You don't wound or kill in a sparring match, just disarm or force to surrender."

"I'll go first" Aiko replied. She could move just as easily in a long dress as she could trousers.

the soldier led the sisters and the recruit to a medium encircled area. He gave Aiko and the recruit a talwar each. He then offered them each a shield, which the recruit declined.

"I'll let you make the first move," he said politely, on his guard. Their guide quietly turned on a video camera.

"We've never used shields in my culture" Aiko replied as she held her talwar in a firm grip.

She was left handed and Aiko used her agility and footwork to start with an undercutting swing which arced upwards. She was agile enough to raise a block even if these swords were strange to her.

The recruit parried easily and took a casual swing towards Aiko's body.

Aiko easily stepped back and parried strongly. She didn't have the mans physical strength but she had bags of speed and agility.

Flicking her sword back she changed the direction of her attack to a high attack at his upper body.

he calmly knocked it to the side, using his superior strength to push it back a little. as she righted herself, he ducked to the side and took a swing at her side.

Aiko was quick enough to set a side block up which deflected the blow but she was fast.

As the swords parted she was swinging her blade at his other side.

he managed to knock the talwar to the side, and quickly exploited an opportunity he saw.

"You win" she said to the soldier having found this illuminating and very interesting.

"thank you," the recruit replied. "You fought better than I expected, to be honest."

Ari took Aiko's blade but she was better dressed for combat wearing a kimono. Like her sister she was also left handed and took up the classic stance of a mid guard.

When the soldier made his move she'd counter attack when she could with the emphasis on defence for now.

He took a casual swing at Ari once he saw that she wasn't attacking.

Ari made the block with the middle of her blade and as the swords bounced of each other she quickly sidestepped left.

A low swing followed aimed at the soldiers hip but she was alert enough to be able to move again once her blow hit. She knew she'd have to be quicker to stand a chance but had seen what he did to her sister.

The recruit knocked her talwar down with his own. He now had the perfect opportunity for a stab, but that would be too potentially lethal for sparring. Instead, he took an overhand swing at her arm.

Ari blocked pushing up the soldiers blade and quickly slashing at his chest. She was finding this sword quite difficult compared to the sword she used back home.

Still she'd try and match him. Pride was at stake.

The recruit moved to the right to dodge the block. Despite their gender and small sizes, the women fought well. However, her technique would need work. A straight sword such as their swords or honor daggers was used very differently from the curved talwar, and employing the habits of one weapon when using the other, as the women were doing, was practically signaling that your opponent's odds had improved. Still, they were brave.

As it was, his contemplations on the sisters' bravery didn't stop him from swinging at her left side.

Quickly blocking this Ari wished she could use a trip on him. Sparring was one thing but when it came to the real thing you used unconventional tactics.

She stepped backwards adding a high slash towards the soldiers chest. What she was using wasn't working but it was all she had.

He merely stepped forward and, pressing his talwar against hers, pushed her back out of the ring.

Now out of the ring Ari's fight was over. Strength had overpowered her but learning this sword would take a lot of time.

A bow followed signaling the end of this.

The recruit bowed back.

"You were good," he said, "but you need to practice with a curved blade more." their guide then sent him back to training as he quietly sent a video of the bouts to Charier's email.

"Do you want to see the aircraft simulator?" he asked.

"Sure" Aiko replied adding "the shuttle pilots made it look so easy on my ship but I never passed the flight tests."

So being led to the next stage of the tour she was interested in his simulator.

They were led through some security doors to a hallway with a glass wall. On the other side of the wall they could see row upon row of things that resembled cubicles, but only just.

"We don't have too much superadvanced technology," said the guide, but these are our best items- some of them.

"Each pod is a highly advanced virtual reality chamber. Our instructors program the specifics of each mission, including whether other recruits are involved, and once the program starts the pilot will feel and see things exactly as if he were inside a plane. If they die, they are kept around a few seconds on the ground and maybe shown some videos so they can see what happened. it's very efficient training, and gets them prepared for actual combat."

It had been weeks and even months since Marina had married Charier but she did not regret it as she loved him passionately and would always tell her parents and friends whenever they visited that she loved him. One day, she woke up in the morning in an exquisite regal looking nightgown and decided to look for Charier. After all, she usually did greet him in the morning.

The simulators were very interesting to the twins. Neither of them were pilots so it was doubtful they'd have a go.

However they were interested in seeing what the pilots seen.

The guide led them to another similar arrangement.

"We practice full urban and sniper settings here," he said. He looked over at them.

"tell me, when you were in your military, what branch were you?"

"I'm sorry," he responded. "Charier is out touring the country and seeing how it's going. He's been out for a few days, and should return in a couple more."

"We both did basic infantry training and then went into the deep space exploration fleet fresh from boot camp" Ari replied adding "we come of age at 16 and the birthday present from the state is a call up from the state to do at least two years military service.

Anyway I got into botany and Aiko got into archeology. We still were expected to know how to fight with phaser and blade although even if we weren't front line warriors."

"We come of age at 17 here," he replied, "and there's no peacetime conscription, but most serve anyway. It's a common career.

"personally, I specialize in close-quarters and urban warfare."

Ari then replied "we're more likely to be using a pistol at close range but the principles the same no matter if you have a talwar or an assault rifle.

'Minimum's 1 and a half years," he replied. "And the military is a very common career."

"Do you have a lot of women in your military?"

"Oh we do. The military is dominated by women. About 95% of the Defence force is female and the Exploration fleet is all female.

Thats due to the population imbalance we have. Women had to take on male roles and do them well" Ari replied she looked at the sniper simulation.

"And where did this imbalance come from?"

Aiko replied this time.

"We originally had a 60% female population when the space federation was born but over the years more girls were being born than boys.

We never found out why but thats what happened naturally and the female percentage kept increasing even with our scientists trying to help out. Even fresh material into the gene pool didn't help.

Then ten years ago we had an 80% female population before a communist group back home set of a bio weapon they obtained from sources outside our old star system. New Kyoto died first as the infection spread but the dead didn't stay dead. They rose again and kept killing others.

Once the infection got airborne, infected the animals and got into the water we had to evacuate with most of our population dead and the planet was destroyed to stop the infection being carried off.

More men that women died in that disaster and the trend continued. more girls are still being born than boys and now the percentage is at 90% female population as a result now we are living in new homeworlds."

"I see," he replied. "Are these reanimated creatures still around?"

Ari shook her head.

"They were killed a second time and for good when our planet was blown up. They're no more" she said flatly. Hers was the generation that would bear the scars of this and although her people were fairly back on their feet again the Kirisuban's had nearly been wiped out but a group of their own people.

Her voice softened but even now she didn't like talking about this. The twins had lost all their family when New Kirisubo died. All they had was each other and now Charier.

"It's a shame that resettlement is not possible.

Marina thanked the servant before walking to the athletic center; changing into her exercise clothes before she began her daily workout. Marina thought about Charier as she exercised; she decided that she'd spend the day trying to just have fun.

The only other option we really have is having more males coming to the home worlds. With new input into the gene pool that might produce a higher percentage of boys" Ari replied.

A servant came along.

Ari sighed and replied "I don't know. I'm only a botanist but we have very close ties with some space nations. I'm sure the ladies of the Exploration and Defence fleets can solve that problem in their own way.

What had started out as a tour of the base had turned into something different and their guide was learning about two of the wives in his care.

He handed it over to her.

"Here you go."

Marina smiled after she finished reading it. "My mother wanted to know how I was doing and asked if I was with child. I shall send a reply soon....and tell her that I will not be with child until I see Charier again; for I need a man to have such a blessing."

"Well, I'm glad to see that she cares," replied the servant.

The guide decided that this conversation ad gone on long enough, though he might bring it up with the theocrat later. It was time to return.

He led them through the base to the same room they had stated in. Charier was in there with some aides and military men, sitting around and drinking some locally produced vodka.

Finding themselves back in the bar again and applying more perfume the twins smiled softly when they seen Charier.

The business could have been concluded here but they couldn't be sure. Sometimes business was conducted over drinks rather than in an office.

Charier looked over at them as he finished stripping down and reassembling a pistol without looking at it. He smiled and walked over.

"Are you ready to leave?"

"Only if you're finished here" Ari tenderly replied. This tour was his call after all and it was up to him to set the timetable.

"Well, we're done here, so we might as well," he responded. They bade goodbye to the officials and drove off.

"By the way," he said casually in the car, "I saw a certain video of you two."

"And what video would that have been?" Aiko innocently asked knowing fine rightly it was them trying to use a talwar.

She then glanced over to Altia. The girls had the same agenda. To make Charier happy and to give him children.
