Mondoth's Southern Border with Tryne, the last several days
Troops began arriving in secret, by train and plane mostly, everything was very hush-hush, vehicles were never uncovered, uniforms were never worn, news was quarantined, it was almost spooky. There were only a few military outposts on the Modnothian border with Tryne, but they were quickly filling up.
Today
Early that morning, word had begin to filter in, it would be today. For the first time, vehicles were uncovered, troops were in full combat kit, equipment was checked and re-checked. Far from trepidation, the troops seemed relieved, they had been cooped up away from outside contact for weeks preparing in secret while the politicos wrangled help from nations if possible, even more secretive about their intentions and capabilities. there would be no warning.
About mid-day, more orders came in and things got organized. Fast.

the rally points were choked with tanks and transports, while Beach-masters stood on anything that could get them above the barely controlled chaos shouting through bull-horns and having their bright orange hats about wildly, directing the flow of troops into lines of battle. By Sunset, the final word was in, and things got really wild. the noise was deafening as the weeks-long secret preparation became an Invasion.

Former citizens of Tryne, We great you as friends and Equals, You are now under the jurisdiction of the Freehold of Mondoth. We would like to make this as peaceful a transfer as possible and as such, we would like to make public some advise:
First, there is to be no antagonizing or attacking Mondothian or Scandavian soldiers, or civilians, please stay inside your homes for the duration of the transfer, any civilian caught outside for a non-essential purpose will be escorted to a designated safe area until operations have been completed. After operations are complete, we would like a smooth return to normalcy, any claims of unwarranted damage will be handled at this time and compensation will be distributed for those adversely affected, to facilitate this process, please file preliminary claims as soon as possible at 1-800-555-9777.
Furthermore, when operations have been completed, we will allow anybody who wishes to do so to leave the country and will reimburse travel expenses to do so. Any who wish to remain will be granted full Mondothian citizenship immediately without pre-requisite for 5 years tax and military service exempt.

Message to Scandavian Military and government forces of Tryne
At this time, the Freehold of Mondoth is taking control of the Tryne territory, we will allow all military and government personnel to leave or remain as they wish as long as it is done peaceably, any resistance will be met with over-whelming force. We invite all military personnel to lay down their arms when approached by Mondothian forces so they can be escorted to safe holding areas until operations have been completed.

This unwarranted act of imperialism upon our ally Scandavian States has not gone unnoticed, and will not go unpunished. The Freehold of Mondoth has no legal right to claim sovereignty over the Duchy of Tryne, and as such the actions of the Freehold are not held as legitimate actions in the eyes of His Imperial Majesty's government.

As such, you have forty-eight hours (48 hours) to comply with the following mandates:

-Any and all claim over the territory of Tryne is to be relinquished.
-All Mondothian troops operating within twenty miles of the border with Tryne are to be withdrawn immediately.

Failure to comply will result in reciprocative action taken against Freehold forces moving to illegally acquire the Duchy of Tryne by both Imperial forces and the whole of the New Alliance Treaty Organization.

The black angel soared high above the clouds, maintaining a patrol route just outside of Mondothian airspace. The SB22 Sariel cruised at its normal operational altitude, sticking to its path diligently. The dark, sleek aircraft maintained a steady course, rarely deviating from a straight line of travel.

This particular Sariel was one of many running patrols just outside of Mondoth's aerial defense sphere, awaiting the order to entire Mondothian airspace and commence operations in defense of the allied territory Tryne. Targets had already been plotted by the Imperial command: roads, bridges, airfields, supply depots, railroads, pipelines, and numerous other utilities which facilitated the transfer or distribution of supplies and goods inside the Freehold.

In addition to the patrols of the Sariels for offensive purposes, fighters were on patrol around the clock around the Home Islands. AWACS flew the outer perimeter of the early warning radar range, extending the eyes of the Cravanian military far out to sea in the event of an offensive move taken by the Mondothians.

Contact had yet to be formally established with Scandavian forces in the region or at large, however it was fairly obvious that the Scandavians would put up a fight. The Mondothians were most definitely in for a treat if they expected an easy takeover.

The 2nd Guard Army was stationed in the area and were informed that they were to ready for possible military action. The unit was one of the two Armies assigned to the Northern Defense Command, the second, the 5th Army was in Pollack, near the Mondothian border. The NORDEFCOM was incharged of the possible operation and the commanding it was Gen. James "Jimmy" Patterson. Landerburg AFB was home to the 45th Tatical Fighter Wing, and nearby DePereth AFB was the HQ of the 57th Bomber Wing. The squadrons of both bases were ready, now they wait for the deadline to come or a call from the President authorizing military force.

Official Statement by the Freehold National Commission

At this time, the Mondothian Government is seeking a peaceful resolution to the current situation in Tryne. The Scandavian States imperialistic overture into Eastern Haven has been accepted and ignored for too long while Mondothian's must fight over every inch of living space. For this and Other reasons, The Freehold has made it's claim to Tryne and it's end to the acceptance Imperialism on our borders known. We have invited Tryne to lay down it's arms and be peacefully integrated into the Freehold and at this time, no response has been made and no shots have been fired. We entreat those who would accuse us of acting illegitimately to wait before making such claims and consider fully our needs and the facts before taking overtly aggressive action.

Message to Cravanian aircraft approaching Mondothian air-space
This is your first warning, you are approaching Mondothian controlled airspace and have been acquired by Mondothian based Air-defense assets. At this time, the Mondothian Air-Defense network is on a heightened alert due to ongoing military operations, If you continue your current course without identifying it will be considered an act of imminent war and the Freehold will consider your destruction an act of justifiable self-defense. Again, this is your first warning, your second warning will be a missile lock alert and your third and final warning will be a launch alert, please choose wisely.

The arrival of Commander Odera’s fleet in Havenic waters per the agreement the Peacekeepers had with the government of TWSP was marked by the arrival of bad news for High Command. The fleet, intended to deploy and maintain a presence in the area taking advantage of the new Aleosite base received orders mere hours after its entry in the Ambrose Sea. Whilst elements of Odera’s group had already arrived at their new base and others hurried to catch up on the bulk of the fleet, the main body found itself halting its advance.

The news that cause Odera to plot a new course and instantly switch the level of alert on his ships were related to the ambitions manifested by the Mondothian Government regarding the territory of one of the NATO allies of Aleos, the nation of Scandavian States, long time member of the alliance and one of its most prestigious members. It was obvious that once news about the Mondothian ultimatum reached the ears of High Command, the fleet present in the Ambrose Sea would seek to take advantage of its location and make itself available to the SS forces in Tryne should hostilities were to commence.

Odera’s orders were simple, cooperate with the local Scandavian commanders and maintain an Aleosite presence in the area. He had no way of knowing just what was to be asked of him, but he steeled himself in preparation of what was to come. But until the first shots were to be fired and action taken by the parties involved, he was to wait, in silence, patiently for new developments.

The Imperium rejects the Freeholds declarations and casus belli as insincere and false. The Imperium has not expanded into any area in over 800 years and indeed has held its newest Duchy, Tryne, for longer that it has shared any kind of border with the Freehold of Mondoth. The Imperium has not threatened the Freehold in any manner and indeed has largely ignored the Freehold. The problems of the Freehold are its own and this disgusting attempt at blaming the Imperium is a tactic of despots and demagogues.

Henceforth the Imperium issues its own demands and gives no more than twenty-four (24) hours for the Freehold to announce its compliance.

1) The Freehold will repudiate its declaration of sovereignty over the Duchy of Tryne.
2) The Freehold will stand down its entire military.
3) The Freehold will unconditionally surrender.
4) The Freehold will pay a sum of 500 trillion USD over a period of twenty (20) years in reparations.

Failure to comply will result in the Imperium waging total war against the Freehold. All citizens of the Freehold living within 500 miles of the border with the Duchy of Tryne are encouraged to evacuate their homes and move away from the area in question. Citizens of the Freehold living within 20 miles of a military installation outside of the aforementioned 500 mile zone are encouraged to move a safe distance away. The Imperium will take no responsibility for the unnecessary deaths of Freehold citizens who refuse to comply.

Further, Freehold military units are hereby on notice that they fall under the guidelines of Imperial Edict 5. Any Freehold unit commander who orders the mistreatment of captured Imperial personnel or private citizens will be subject to summary execution upon capture.

We don't ask that you accept our declarations as cassus belli, only as a peaceful overture for integration, it is your reaction that will provide cassus belli, not our action. Your demands of reparation regarding what has, so far, been a non-event are patently ridiculous, beneath even our contempt.
If the Imperium wants war, then a war it shall get, and Allah be kind to us all.
