It has been a long time since any of the Alliance's side has seen a proper Ship Yard or Forge World. Hell, even a standard half-assed Drydock would make a certain Admiral Craimorn cry with joy. However, General Verneal, Admiral Lawson and General Mustang had other plans for the Alliance which would probably give the Fleet Admiral a heart attack. Originally, the three allies got together to discuss economic issues of the Coredians due to recent inflation on both sides. The Alliance figured they can help out the Coredians by paying them to build smaller ship yards and various defenses, while the Dornalians did the job of building the larger stuff like Forge Worlds and a Kuat Drive yard sized vessel.

Then there are stories which are exciting the public in general. Sure, they're getting some fancy new fleet being constructed but there's something else brewing. Rumor has it, the Malkir are talking to the Trimulitive and the Woodians for restoring the ancient Republic government system. Apparently, a certain famous drunken General yapped his mouth about how he and Magriel were discussing that they should get their acts together and restore the senate and the Republic and somehow the Dornalian news anchor Chess got his hands on it. Finally, people thought, elections!. Sure, they loved their Military and Malkir Leaders, it's just that being under a military dictatorship for nearly four thousand years gets kind of annoying really. The people have begun to yearn for their former freedoms which were stolen from them when the Kirtir destroyed the Huntarian Republic.

"Yea! I was in the Counthil cahmbers when suthenly Mahriel and that bitch were discussin hat we should be restor the Republic. Imagine that *hic*."

The bartender frowned and leaned close to the drunk man, "... General Verneal, how many pints have you had?"

The General swaggered in his seat for a few seconds before replying, "severhal hundred I think."

"All right sir, I think you've had enough for the night. Now, you need to get back to your quarters before I call over "the Bitch" and have her escort you in her own fashion."

Torusumi wasn't too sober herself. True to Dornalian roots, she had nursed no less than twelve shots of pure whiskey and not collapsed in the attempt. However, she had somewhat stronger tolerance for alcohol--or she had consumed less--and thus she had some control of herself. She got up, and tipsily walked up to the bar and said, "Hey, Barkeep. I'll take his drunk ass home." She then turned to Verneal and said, "One drunkie to another, eh!?" in a joking manner.

Lawson, meanwhile, was sighing. He was the designated driver for the trip, and was stuck with nothing but Virgin Daiquiris and Saratoga Coolers for the night. He sighed; General Rose Torusumi was normally a calm character, but the effects of in vino veritas were working now and she was turning out to be a goofy, giddy individual. He then said to himself, "Damn dogfaces."

Torusumi then walked up to him, and gruntingly said, imitating a samurai film hero, "Oi! You dare interrupt me!? The Great General Torusumi, tamer of the United Mankind!? Friggin--" She tripped, then continued somewhat comically, "--shit! Piss!" Lawson then sighed, and said, "Come on guys." He then flipped some cash to the barkeep, and then tried unsuccessfully to drag them out.

Verneal raised his eyes at the rather "odd" woman, "duly noted... Waiiiiit a minute now. If you're here then where's..." He started to get up from his seat and then stumbled off of it before he sat himself back down again.

"General Verneal! How many drinks have you had?" Came the voice of a certain Malkir Councilor.

Verneal moaned, "look, fuck me all right? Not literally though, there's no promotional investment in it for you, and you're not my type. Did Jorrus send you after me again Melisha?"

"No, instincts told me otherwise. You tend to get stone drunk before you have a major meeting like this. Now, I'm afraid we gotta end our little engagement before you get any more drunk and we can't function before the council tomorrow. Lets go. Admiral, Torusumi, you too" Melisha said to the Dornalian representatives before she started to pick up the General from his seat when the General started to randomly sniff the air and closed his eyes.

Lawson, meanwhile, was sighing. He was the designated driver for the trip, and was stuck with nothing but Virgin Daiquiris and Saratoga Coolers for the night. "I smell something... A rather unusual fragrance..." He narrowed his eyes and smirked, "Councilor, I think you have been drinking shots with General Torusumi."

"... I have not!" The Councilor replied with total denial.

"Yea right, I know the smell of vodka when I see it. You've been drinking and you wanted to bring me in to Jorrus now so that he won't notice that you're hung-over when compared to me at the meeting tomorrow."

"You don't see the smell of Vodka..." Melisha grumbled.

"My point still stands," the General managed to grunt.

Melisha grumbled to herself before making a decision. “Fine, we’ll both go to our quarters and sleep it off until the morning and we don’t tell, agreed?”

Verneal nodded, “agreed.”

Melisha then would recieve an unusually wierd reception. Torusumi stood ramrod straight, as straight as a drunk could, as she said giddily, "Master Melisha, Master Jorrus! Field Marshal Rose Torusumi, Commander of the Joint Revolu-lu--whatever Council thingamafuckinjig, KBE, CE, and Possessor of Clean Undies and Used Schoolgirl Panties, SIRS!" She then giggled giddily, and said, "God, this is so funny.....reminds me....of that funny...." She then began laughing uncontrollably. Lawson then said, dismayed and saluting properly and bowing at a 45 degree angle, "Ma'am, I am so sorry."

Melisha sighed, "and Jorrus wonders why I get so moody in the mornings... I really do wonder how some of you people even get to your positions..."

"Bitchy is the more appropriate term Councilor..." Melisha glared at Verneal and smacked him in the back of the head, "hey!"

Melisha dragged the heavy drunken General out of his chair, "let's go, before I forget I agreed to not talk about us being too drunk... I'm afraid we'll have to be going our separate ways. Lawson, please make sure you dunk Torusumi's head under a bucket of cold water for a few moments to snap her out of it if she doesn't get out of it by the morning."

Lawson nodded and sighed. Shaking his head, he facepalmed, muttering, "This is why I never drink. Not when shit like this happens." Torusumi laughed. As Lawson got her in a shoulder carry, she then playfully poked him and laughed, saying, "Well well! Mon Almirante, here's an idea." She then leaned into his ear and muttered, playfully and teasingly emphasizing the "used" part, "Stop wearing day old used schoolgirl's ki-kittyprint panties." With a nudge she finished with, loudly and boorishly, "It'd help your masculinity!"

Lawson sighed and said, "Let's go, General. NOW!" Angrily, he was getting sick of being teased by his counterpart in the JRCCC. Luckily, no one from the press was here, but it was agreed that Torusumi made for a verbally unpredicable drunk. She was then taken to her quarters, and made to sleep as Torusumi kept calling Lawson names. The next day she would wake up, head pounding and liberal doses of coffee administered....

The Bartender sighed as the group started to leave and muttered to himself, "why the hell do I always get the weird ones..." The Councilor and General decided it would be mutual beneficial if they used the nearby transporter pad for site-to-site transport so that they don't have to run into Jorrus or any of the other Council Members. Verneal started to wonder how the pantie boy Admiral was going to get that drunk General out of that bar.

Verneal woke up the next morning with the feeling of his head being grabbed onto by Godulan shipyard cranks and was smashed against a Star Destroyer hull in repeated sessions. "God damn..." He smugly got out of his bed and proceeded to do his usual morning routine of showering up and getting ready for the day before he remembered "... Argh, fucking meeting." He quickly switched into his dress clothes and ran to the Council Chambers, "sorry I'm late."

Jorrus raised his eyes, "actually General, you're early. It would appear that the Coredians and Woodians haven't arrived yet. We're still waiting for Admiral Lawson and General Torusumi."

Verneal's head began to throb violently as he stopped to catch his breath, "I think that those two will be taking their time. Thank god I got time to wait for a bit..."

Torusumi arrived in the meeting chamber with Lawson. Both were in crisp, clean, freshly ironed and laundered dress uniforms, odd mixes of Soviet and American styles. Torusumi seemed to have no evidence of her escapade last night, looking rather professional and serious as she walked into the room with her Forest Green Dress Uniform. Lawson arrived in his Dress Uniform, though he was in the Navy version. The man had a briefcase, and other materials as well. Joining them was a tall black man, slightly aged, but still looking capable as ever.

Together, they took their seats, bowing and saluting to the assembled before taking their seats. Torusumi then said, "Master Jorrus, General Verneal, as you are already aware, I'm Field Marshal Rose Torusumi, Commander of the Joint Revolutionary Command and Control Center and Red Army. This is my colleague, Admiral Thomas Lawson, Commander of the Military Reservation System, and this is the Commissar for National Defense, Michael Cortes. Thank you for having us today."

Torusumi looks none the worse for wear. But the bags around her eyes and the tired look on her face suggest a long night.....

Jorrus noted the bags around Torusumi's eyes, but he decided not to mention anything about the previous night. "Welcome to the Alliance's Capitol. Now, I'd start the meeting but I'm missing my roster of the list of topics..." At that moment, a young girl walked into the room and delivered Jorrus's missing datapad, "thank you Heruka."

Heruka bowed and then started to walk past the Huntarians and Dornalians when she too noticed the slightly odd behavior from the two Dornalians and Huntarians who were at the bar last night. Suddenly, it clicked in her head that the voices she heard outside the bar were Verneal and the others. She turned to Jorrus, "the married couple and the Dornies were drinking last night by the way," she quickly turned around and dashed out of the room and down the hall before the group could properly react.

Verneal growled as his attempt to grab Heruka failed, "that little brat... Did you just hear what she said?"

Melisha stared out towards where Heruka ran, "she accused us of drinking last night!" She attempted to convince Jorrus.

"Worse than that! She called us a married couple!"

Jorrus sighed, "with the way you two interact with each other, I wouldn't be surprised if you said you were. Anyways," he quickly glanced at Verneal and Melisha who just continued to glance at the floor, "now we need to wait for the Coredians to appear. Once we have that settled, we can officially begin."

General Roy Mustang is the go-to-man for special projects, like the ones Huntaer just hinted at to the High Council before they sent their man over. Which is why he now walked into the meeting, having taken a nice long trip, although he certainly missed the drinking contest that occurred before.

"Hello, friends. I do hope I arrived right on time." The blue-clad general said with a charming smile that could woo ladies. Of course, Force forbid that his wife ever learned what he does when she's not around...

Torusumi saluted, and said in reply, "General Mustang, Field Marshal Rose Torusumi. It's a pleasure to be working with you." She then smiled at him back and said, with a bit more restraint than he had beforehand, "You're not late at all; in fact you came here just in time." She then sneaked a quick glare at the Huntarians, before turning back to the Flame Alchemist.

Privately, she knew of Mustang--his reputation did travel some, and it was rumored among female officer cadres the man was a womanizer. Still, he seemed nice enough, though he laid on the charm a little thick. "Make Mental Note: Watch this Dude," she thought to herself.

::I think we should both keep an eye on this one, with two sets of eyes out, we'll keep him in line.:: Melisha sent a private force message to Torusumi. "Greetings General, your reputation doesn't do you justice. I look forward to... Ah, 'working' with you." She politely bowed and sent an angry private message, this time, to Mustang. ::Try any of those moves on us, especially me, and I'll kick your ass back to the rocks of what remains of Coredia. Clear?::

Jorrus politely lowered his head, as he is the senior ranking person in the whole group. "Greetings. This is General Verneal, Councilor Melisha and Admiral Craimorn. I'd introduce my Apprentice, Councilor Magriel, but I believe he's currently out on a mission trying to find Jesse Masaki."

Lawson stood up as Torusumi returned to her seat. He then said, "General, I believe I can answer that. Name's Admiral Thomas Lawson, Administrator for the Military Reservation System of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of New Dornalia." He then chuckled nervously and said, "A mouthful, I know. But basically, it means I run the planets others would call Forge Worlds."

Gesturing to Jorrus, he then said, "The Huntarian Government asked for some assistance in setting up their own Forge World facilities, and even some shipyards. So that's my job." He said to Jorrus, "Is that accurate?"
Huntaer
13-04-2008, 23:48
Jorrus nodded, "right. Basically, you two are the guys we know of who aren't allied to the Empire that can give us potential support for building us our own ship yards and construction facilities. As you're well aware, our budget is quite large so we can easily and quickly produce you with the credits and resources you need to get the job done... I especially know that the Coredians could use a couple credits to help booster their economy due to the war. And as some of you are well aware, we have been relatively untouched by war. With this in mind, I intend to hire the Godulans to help us construct a force field which surrounds our rather small territories to keep unwanted enemies out of our reach, and for a place for you two to fall back on and regroup." Jorrus turned to General Mustang, "As I recall, Exodus Fleet is still looking for a place to hide, is that correct General?"
CoreWorlds
14-04-2008, 00:20
"Yes." The General nodded. "They've been ambushed twice already by Imperial forces. Even with the Sixth Fleet protecting it, we lost a few civilian ships both times. We have to find shelter for them soon so they can recuperate."
Huntaer
19-04-2008, 03:09
Jorrus nodded, "right. I conducted backdoor conversations with the Godulans quite some time ago to construct a Voidshield network around our territories so that we can keep out the Empire and any unwanted enemies. This is especially simple with the small territories we have acquired. With them in place, we can have any fleet fleeing from the Empire reside within here, even colonize. We have several Class-M planets which are used as military bases. It'd be the perfect retreat for you, or any government who's being pursued. So, now we come to the main issue of the night."

Jorrus paced around the Council Chambers before he spoke the Council's final verdict, "due to recent events in a... Certain allied nation," he said looking at General Mustang, "the Council has decreed to abolish our Regime and relinquish the power to the people, for the people and answerable to the people. The Republic will return."

General Mustang listened to the surprising revelation from Councilor Jorrus and cleared his throat, removing an envelope marked Top Secret from his blue jacket. "Emperor Masaki has forseen that this might come to pass. He told me to give this message to you once you announced that you were reforming the Republic."

He gave the letter to the Councilor.

Once he opens it, it will read:

Dear friends,
I have sensed a disturbance in the Force. A disturbance that affects the very future of the alliance against our enemies. I don't know when and I don't know where, but I have sensed that I would no longer be among the living, perhaps by Remiel's hand as he claims. As such, I have taken steps to prepare for that day, whenever it may be. One of the many steps that I have taken is a proposal to integrate my nation, my people into a Republic that will guide them when I am gone. Everything will be spelled out more fully in my Last Will and Testament, but suffice is to say, two things are of importance: My Fellow Coredians and many others will be in great mourning after my passing. You, my allies, must be there to comfort them. In addition, my plan is thus: we must bring together our nations into a Grand Republic to guide and rule justly over our nations. Secondly, my son will need a Regent until he is ready to rule competently. This Grand Republic can vote in one for him.

One last thing, do not let a word of this escape whatever Council room you are in, my friend. If it does, it will be horrible. I hope that all will go well when I am no longer here. Nevertheless, we must trust the Force to guide us. Thank you and may the Force be with you.
