OOC: No, no...there's no death in this thread. This is just my return to the forums which I've been saving for use until I got one billion people in my nation.

AP: The United Kingdom of Skamania and Duloc is celebrating the birth of its billionth citizen, a healthy baby girl named Anne, who was born early in the morning to her Skamanian father and Dulocan mother at a smalltown hospital. The birth would have been just ordinary had it not been for the fact that Anne was the billionth citizen of the nation. Her parents have already recieved a meeting with King Louis II; who has given all the baby supplies they will need and the keys to a country manor. Citizens all around the nation are sending in donations and best wishes and some rowdy citizens fired guns into the air to celebrate this prestigious occassion. Everyone is happy after hearing of the birth. The girl, Anne, is currently in the care of her parents and is expected to grow up in fame for many years.

"This is such a joyful event." The child's mother, Guillemette, said with tears in her eyes while her husband, Charles, comforted her at a news conference. News reporters have compared their marriage to the marriage that united Skamania and Duloc centuries earlier; though it is not uncommon for mixing between Skamanians and Dulocans as even the Royal Family does it. A doctor reported that Anne had been born with no health problems and that she is expected to live a healthy life. That's all the parents ever wanted to know.

In the continuing global mire of death and war, the birth of even one child warms our hearts. We would like to present the parents with an all expense paid week long trip to the Free Republic. In addition, we would like to present the hospital that gave birth to little Anne a bronze statue of Anne, which one of our more prominent sculptors has carved from Bronze at no cost.

The parents of little Anne sincerely thank President Stinson for his gifts; hoping to be visiting Lamoni during the next week. The hospital has put the sculpture that was sent to them in a prominent place in the building for all the visitors, workers and patients to see. Both are thankful for the generosity of the Lamonian President.
