Faurea

:cool:Hello to all!I'm fairly new at this game and I'd like to build some diplomacy with other nations. Currently, I am in the West Pacific but I applied to be in the mediterranean (still waitin on the password though :( Here are some facts about my nation and about how I play:
1. I am first and foremost a NEUTRAL nation. I will not side militarily with anyone and the only time I will ever get involved in world affairs is to mediate between conflict or host events, which will be open to anyone.
2. Faurea is an island nation, actually made of an archipelago of 3 islands and 20 smaller islands (hopefully located in the mediterranean soon and off the coast of North Africa.)
3. The official languages of Faurea is English and Faurean(which is more like an ancient tongue, sounds closer to latin.)
4. Faurea in itself is not very old, but the islands are. For up to 800 A.D., the islands were not unified, instead consisting of many different tribes and very small city-states (polatos). It wasn't until A.D. 820, when a "prophet" named Zarwii , a son of one of the first founders of the main Faurean islands, unified most of the islands under the religion of Raianism, a polytheistic religion which taught simplicity. Raianism regarded the Sun, Moon, and Stars as heavenly bodies and creators of the world. Zarwii refered to the Sun as the "Grand Mother," because we were born from it.
5. Raianism was the main religion of Faurea, which was oficially named Faurea in the 1700s, when Spainish explorers named it for the beautiful wildlife on the islands. Faurea switched hands several times, finally falling to the British in 1817. Under the guidance of the next prophet, Zarwii Marez XVI, Faurea resisited British rule and became independent. Raianists and Chrsitians fought though after independence, because of religion. Freedom of religion was finally allowed in 1887, when the Theocracy lost power and the Grand Prophet Zarwii-Kalii Rea decided to allow religious freedom to stop the conflicts and civil unrest. Then, a constitution was formed and a republic founded.
6. Raianism and Christianity are the 2 main religions on the islands to this day.
7. Government: Faurea elects its leaders from the populace. The people vote on the members of parliament by party. Then the majority party votes on its leader, who becomes the Arch-Minister of the Republic, whose role is more or less ceremonial.
...and if u want to know more, comment or message me. If anyone from the Mediterranean region reads this, message me the passwrod please! Thank you.:p
