Yurka City II

((Embassy District is the enormous domed building at left))

The massive city which had taken countless decades to complete had now finished completion of its newest district. It was to be called the Embassy District, and would house all foreign delegates living within Yurka City II, something which would have been unheard of in the previous two generations. Foreigners were considered filthy and barbaric, and any coming remotely close to Yurka's territory were killed on sight, or captured and never seen by the outside world again. This was of course, to keep the people of Yurka safe, something which was no longer necessary with its currently amassed power. To help cement this power though, they would need help from the very people they had tried so hard to keep out; foreigners.

The district was to be housed in one of the old political domes dotting the cityscape, and as such would be expected to hold upwards of two hundred thousand people. If, by some chance they needed more room, they could simply kick some of the businesses out in the lower levels to make room. Of course there would be rules for ambassadors living in the city, as foreign civilians were still never allowed within the country's limits, but such rules could be addressed later.

The interior of the domed building was massive, with numerous interior gardens and specially designated shopping areas to sell and purchase goods and services. It was a rather expensive undertaking, but in the Yurkan Government's arrogance to impress foreigners, they would spare no expense. In fact, the entire building cost nearly half a trillion USD, more than most military budgets and low-class cities combined. The defensive grids themselves comprised entire floors of armed security to make sure no terrorist attacks ever happened to shame the government. In some ways it could be considered a prison, since none of the delegates would ever be able to leave without a small contingent of Yurka's guardians watching over them.

Thus, the offer for the exchange of embassies with Yurka was sent to nations across the globe!

Message to International Community

Greetings and good will to you, our foreign neighbors in the world. Recently it has come to our attention that to better improve our international image, and perhaps to shape an actual image in many cases, we would need to allow foreign delegations to enter our nation. Along with this, we are also currently looking into alliances, trade proposals, and working with others to create numerous scientific projects in our nation's agenda. So in an effort to accommodate all of these things, we would like to begin the transfer of ambassadors and embassies.

All delegations are please asked to make sure that they bring no more than five hundred military personnel per nation, and that no biological or nuclear weapons are brought within our borders. Other than that any weaponry available is allowed, however we must ask that you rely on us for transport, as Yurka City II houses upwards of nine-hundred million people, it is far too easy to get lost, and seeing as we do not want to microchip your delegates or have them bar-coded like our own citizens, they will not be allowed to travel around without two guides present per person. If this is not acceptable we are willing to negotiate.

Thankyou for your interest in our nation, and if you wish you may pre-select one of the 120 floors for your delegation in advance, and state if you are willing to share the floor with delegations from other countries or if you plan to use the entire floor for yourselves.

Sincerely,
Yurkan Foreign Ministry

As you requested here I am: Kurona has seen your message and we are fully willing to open an embassy in your country, complying with all your standards, and we wonder if you would be interested in engaging in student exchange programs.

We are honored to have you joining the Embassy District, and as the first nation to accept our olive branch of mutual understanding, we will gladly accept your offer. Any students who express a desire to study abroad will be presented with the nation of Kurona as a valid option. As for your delegates, we will make sure to place them on the 55th floor, near one of our many indoor gardens, so that they don't grow too homesick away from their lush nation of birth.

Sincerely,
Yurkan Foreign Ministry

As a neighbour of the Eternal Empire of Yurka, the Holy Empire of Zaheran is interested in opening an embassy in your country, and invite you to establish one in our nation. We would also be interested in discussing matters such as trade.

I thank you for your generous offer of a floor of the embassy district. However, before we accept, we would like to negotiate several points.

1. Although the transportation arrangement is for the good of the ambassador and his staff we would like to propose that the escort is only constant for one week (or until the ambassador feels he or she has the lay of the land, whichever comes later). After that it may be continued if the ambassador feels the need (e.g., traveling to a new part of the city, fear of attack, etc.). We would also like to inquire as to what type of transportation your nation will be providing.

2. The embassy district is roofed and therefore I see no way to have a helicopter on site. Is there a nearby helipad where we can store one?

If we can reach agreement on those issues, we will be sending Sir Nathan Gold along with fifty (50) staffers and 100 members of the Zinairian Army's diplomatic defense division. Based on the agreements we make, some vehicles may be sent as well.

The Eternal Empire is happy to accept your esteemed diplomats to our nation, and have likewise sent an Ambassador to the Holy Empire of Zaheran. As for trade, we are very excited with the prospects of trading for your agricultural goods, along with cotton and silk; One of the few products we are in somewhat urgent need of at present. If there is anything you would like from our nation, please let us know.

Likewise, we shall be placing your quarters within one of the sections of the 40th floor. Your Ambassador can expect direct access with our trade ministry established as soon as he and his fellow delegates and workers arrive within our nation.

Sincerely,
Yurkan Foreign Ministry

We are more than happy to accept you and your Ambassador, allowing access to an expansive floor of the embassy building. This would allow for future growth of your embassy and its various functions in the future. However, as a member of the Foreign Ministry Division of Yurka, allow me to alleviate any concerns which you present, as best I can.

1) We are willing to allow this, but shall recommend that your ambassador and/or members of his family be implanted with microchips to keep track of them as a precaution. Our nation is exceedingly safe and monitored, but we shall still throw this option out onto the table for him. As for vehicles, we were going to transport your personnel by armored limousine or car, along with the option of using a railway connected with the 20th floor of the Embassy District and connecting with various other parts of the company. Though of course, we would allow use a private, armored car for your delegate.

2) Airspace and flight above the city is highly restricted due to the various people living there and the disorienting, somewhat large expanse of buildings. However, if use of a helicopter is indeed necessary, we shall make sure that any of your helicopter pilots that you bring with you are trained with the topography and aviation laws of Yurka City II. As for your own helicopter, we will make sure it is properly maintained and placed in a suitably nearby building.

We will be sure to welcome Sir Nathan Gold and his staff. There should be more than enough room for He and his staff. As for your vehicles, as long as they are properly inspected by our security division, we will be open to any ideas you have present, to allow for your ambassador's comfort.

If there is any specific floor you would like to have readied for your arrival, please feel free to request one.

Treant Ouro,
Yurkan Foreign Ministry

OOC: Remember me?

IC: The Imperium is pleased to welcome back onto the world stage its old comrade, the nation of Yurka. The Emperor himself sends his greetings and the gift of a relic of Emperor Lucifer, one of his preserved knucklebones, in honor of the Yurkan participation in the great Czardaian War. We request the honor of an embassy, to be staffed by one of our own diplomats and his entourage, to whatever specifications would be most convenient for you.

Signed,
Abram Vidann, Minister of Foreign Affairs

OOC: I remember Warmaster! Massive torpedo madness if I recall in that war! What happened after you took Czardas once you took over, by the way? By the way, what should I call your nation now?

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y21/Kutulmak/Yurka.jpg

Due to the precious nature of this gift, our Emperor will see assuredly keep it at his private estate, perhaps loaning it to well-secured museums from time to time for the benefit of Yurka's youth. The fact that the Emperor remembered our nation's involvement with the Czardaian War surely makes the sacrifices made by our men and women during that war somehow feel even more justified than we originally felt. As we do not have the time or resources to build a separate trillion-dollar Embassy simply for your single nation, we will make sure to have your ambassador seated at a place of prominence upon the 100th floor.

Anything your diplomat and entourage requires shall be provided for him, as with all of our ambassadors. If you have any requests, feel free to make them to us directly.

Likewise, we would like to offer an ambassador of our own to go to the Imperium and form an Embassy there, along with a small retinue of staff members and guards?

High General,

OOC: To make a long story short, I didn't take over Czardas...much chaos occurred shortly after we defeated him. And I'm still Warmaster; ICly, refer to me as the Kregaian Imperium.

IC: OFFICIAL DIPLOMATIC COMMUNIQUE

The Imperium thanks the Emperor of Yurka most sincerely both for its gracious hospitality and for its reciprocal offer. We would be most pleased to establish an Embassy to Yurka in the heart of the capital, along Embassy Row, as close as currently possible to the Imperial Palace himself. The facilities await only your arrival; the ambassador may bring with him what he will, and arrive to occupy his position whenever is convenient. We thank you for your hospitality, and hope you will look with friendship and favor upon the Imperium and our neighbors in Gholgoth.

Signed,
Abram Vidann, Minister of Foreign Affairs

I am sorry to say that microchipping is wholly unacceptable. However, I presume Yurka City II has an adequate cellular network that could be used to contact the embassy or embassy guards in a time of emergency.

If it is acceptable, we will be bring our own armored vehicles, four (4) Range Rovers.

As for the helicopter, we find your offer acceptable. It will only be used for emergency evacuations.

In that case, we will make sure that your ambassador has plenty of room and hope that you have a safe, enjoyable stay within the Embassy District. Due to your many vehicles, and the fact that you seem to wish for the ability to quickly tour around the capital, we shall place you on the 22nd floor, with easy access to the various facilities you may require. Please remember that any concerns or questions will be immediately looked into.

We look forward for your ambassador's arrival.

Sincerely,
Yurkan Foreign Ministry
