OOC: Two answers to the same post? Almost not sure which one to answer, QC IV.
IC: "Several, sir. My first play was of the romance genre and it was quite saddening to perform in because the plot was so touching....and this bared on me since I played the lead female role."
"I am sure that you were quite magnificent, Alice. It is always nice to meet someone who can pretend to be someone else, even for a limited time."
The choir began to sing in their angelic voices as a group of people including the Archbishop of Anglia and some senior bishops of the Church were taking their positions and preparing themselves for what was to come next. As the choir was singing, the guests could see a figure emerging from the west door of the Cathedral. Charlette, who was quite emotionless as she walked towards the throne awaiting her, kept an eye on all the guests that she could see; especially Gerald and Iohannes. She bowed respectfully before the altar before taking her seat on the throne while the choir sung the following Psalm.
The Lamonians had already quieted down before the choir started to sing. While the Archbishop and the others looked resplendent in their robes, Gerald only had eyes for Charlette when she came out. If he thought that she had looked beautiful before, then she looked positively angelic in the formal robes of state. He was very happy when he saw Charlette looking directly at him before she went to bow before the altar.
Celebratory gunfire was heard by the guests and the cousins of Charlette and others were adorning themselves with their royal attire. Prominent people in the Royal Court were bowing before Charlette to pay homage and swear loyalty to her; including Reginald and Thomas. After some more words, rituals and bows, Queen Charlette VI of Anglia and the Norwich Islands and the new Countess of Acroix, adorned with robes and jewels, was silently escorted out of the Cathedral and sent away to the Marble Palace while foreign guests were told after the choir finished singing the Te Deum that they could stay in Anglia for a bit or leave. Charlette could only think about Gerald, Iohannes, and the coronation. She was now the Queen; though she never expected that she ever would be.
Gerald wasn't quite too sure of the celebratory gunfire yet, but the older men in the Lamonian party paid it no mind. With the finish of Te Deum, everyone was told that they could stay in Anglia for awhile, or go home. Gerald was to be an aide to his father in the Lamonian embassy in Anglia, so he knew that he would be staying there for a good long time. With Charlette now being Queen, he was certain that he would find out one way or the other if Charlette had thought of him even close to what he thought of her.
President Stinson meanwhile, would spend the night at the embassy, and fly back to Lamoni in the morning. There was no better way to break in a new Lamonian embassy, after all. Some of the staff had never met him before, so that was also a plus.
