The Princess of Kaphristan arrived smoothly into Los Angeles. There was no problem, no troubles, her plane landed in Edwards Air Force Base. The military was omnipresent in order to make there be sure no “incidents” took place. After she landed, there was a short drive by motorcade into the center of Los Angeles, partly as it was where Governor Schwarzenegger was, partly to show her the wonder of California. Princess Saphresa arrived at the Los Angeles City Council building, an art deco building that was, albeit small by comparison, was still prominent in the area. She walked in, LAPD officers and Diplomatic Security Agents keeping an eye on her, and on the city. She walked in, the men directed her to a conference room. It was a rather large one, with a window overlooking the rest of L.A. and a large egg shaped table, with the flags of the City of Los Angeles ant the Bear Republic placed next to a flag of Kaphristan for this event. Sitting in a business chair was Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, he said,

“Welcome to California! I wanted to have this take place in Los Angeles because it would seem rude to make you come all the way to my state house in Sacramento.”

Whenever she was meeting with men for the first time Saphresa would always done a veil. When she grew more comfortable and used to it, she would no longer wear it. Though she generally didn't wear it in Public except while visiting the Mosque. Ting it up she was ready to meet the Leader of the State of Cali fornia. (I'm assuming this Schwarzenegger also had a movie carer) She had seen a few of his movies, he was the almighty action star. She stepped off the plane to be greeted.

"Thank you for your hospitality Mr. Schwa-Mr. Shwart-Thank you for your hospitality Honorable Governor. And thank you for flying our flag."

"Sch-worts-en-egger, Okay I think I have it now. I could use a cup of tea, good sir."

The Governor whispered to an aide, who left the room. Arnold Schwarzenegger then said,

"It's okay, I just want to make you feel. . . well not at home, because that would be impossible, but at least comfortable. Now", Arnold paused as a Latino man brought a teakettle on a dish and set it on the table and placed four cups around the kettle, "I am glad that we have began constructing embassies, I feel that embassies are the first step to creting a long-lasting relationship between nations, not just for technical and legal reasons, but because there is a location for citizens to find information."

"Oh yes, Embassies are great centers for information. We have been in isolation for so long, it's nice to finally be able to meet with nations."

"Yes, well California declared independence, rather peacefully, and started off a new light after that. Luckily, we kept as much of our former prosperity as we previously did."

"I'm very glad for you and your country. Independence is a great thing."

"Yes it is. . . yes it is. Anyways, I'm understanding that Kaphristan is an Islamic nation, is that correct?"

"That is correct. Islam is our Official Religion but we still grant freedom of Religion. And we have no occasion to correspond with those that skew the belief of Islam. It makes me so angry those that call Jihad and brand it a holy war. Jihad is no such thing. It's a personal struggle to become a better Muslim."

"I hear where you're coming from. Anyways, I understand that, there are just many more radical, hard line, states out there. California has no official religion though, we do have separation of church and state, though."

"Well I understand the desire by states for wanting Church and State Separation of course. I personally don't believe the notion it's been taken too could really work. But that's just me of course." She smiled "And of course I intend to learn as much as I can from our differences. Allah created us equal in his eyes but he also made us all diffrent."

"Well, our goal was to create some sort of government where one religion is not favored over the other. In California, we are so diverse, we have Catholics, Protestants of so many kinds, Mormons, and of course Buddhists, Hindus, and Muslims, so being impartial helps a lot.

I really think that we do need more dialogue, and I cultures like these, reallt can learn so much from each other."
