Preamble
The ROFL is hereby formed in an effort to ensure the protection of Orbath, its colonies and its interests abroad, to allow for force projection, especially during efforts to aid civilians in instances such as natural disaster or rebellion and to provide advanced training to soldiers from nations around the globe. It follows some similarities of common foreign legions but also has its own unique differences.
Joining Requirements
Those applying to join must do so by their own free will.
Those applying to join must be upstanding citizens and hold no criminal record. (Petty crimes will be reviewed on case by case basis)
Those applying to join must agree to give up the rights and freedoms of their old nation and adopt the rights and freedoms and adhere to the laws of Orbath and/or the nation which they may reside in.
Those applying to join must agree to be stationed anywhere in the globe at anytime.
Those applying to join will be required to sign an individual contract of service. Breech of this contract is considered desertion and is punishable by death.
Other Information
Training is extremely rigorous and there is a high possibility of injury and a chance of death. Those injured will be treated at the appropriate local medical facilities.
Available Contracts
Several different types of contracts are offered to those applying to become legionnaires.
Contract Level 1 - Civilian To Legionnaire
This contract will be offered to a regular civilian from a nation wishing to become a legionnaire. A person signing this contract will be required to serve a minimum of 12 years.
Contract Level 2 - Civilian To Legionnaire - Return Training Program
This contract will be offered to governments wishing to provide training to civilians provided all civilians agree to join. It is designed primarily to allow the signee the opportunity to return to their home nation as a trained soldier A person signing this contract will be required to serve 2 years with the option to call them back to active duty any time within the following 3 years.
Contract Level 3 - Soldier to Legionnaire
This contract will be offered to any currently serving or recently serving member of a nations armed forces. A person signing this contract will be required to serve a minimum of 10 years.
Contract Level 4 - Solder to Legionnaire - Return Training Program
This contract will be offered to governments wishing to provide training to currently or recently serving members of their armed forces provided all soldiers agree to join. It is designed primarily to allow the signee the opportunity to return to their home nation as a soldier with advanced knowledge and soldiering skills. A person signing this contract will be required to serve 3 years with the option to call them back to active duty any time within the following 3 years.
Contract Level 5 - Officer Contract
This contract will be offered to any soldier, officer or not, wishing to become an officer within the ROFL. A person signing this contract will be required to serve 15 years.
Contract Level 6 - Advanced Officer Contract
This contract will be offered to any officer wishing to become a training officer within the ROLF. A person signing this contract will be required to serve 6 years.
*Stoklomolvi Contract
This contract has been established to deal with the massive influx of Stoklomolvi Liberals who have been displaced. Each signee will be tested, higher test scores will earn the signee officer positions, as will past military experience. Lower test scores will receive non commissioned member positions. Each signee will be granted refugee status then will be given a temporary citizenship. After serving a minimum of 5 years, during which time their pay will be heavily reduced, each signee will be provided with a house and the opportunity to pursue another career. Should they remain with the legion, they will be required to serve a minimum of 10 years (enlisted) or 12 years (officer). If they choose another job, they will remain on call for 20 years (based on physical condition).
*Please Note - Salaries will be established based on numbers provided by the first few applicants.
