Terrorists attack military barracks in Eureka Islands capital
Early this morning, at approximately 6 am, an unknown force penetrated the outer perimeter of the army's 25th regiment barracks. It is unclear exactly what followed, but 13 members of the regiment were killed by an explosion in one of the buildings housing the soldiers, and 38 more injured. At this time the army is refusing to allow the media to interview the survivors, or even film the barracks from the outside. whatever is happening, the government want to keep it well hushed up.
Outside of the barracks, present time
"I bet it was those bloody rebels again. They hit our outpost in the south a few years ago, and now there making a comeback. Maybe this time the government will allow me and the 2nd army to crush them entirely this time!" spat Field Marshal Charles Hayden
"Lets not jump to conclusions sir. For all we know it could have been a special forces unit from anywhere. from what ive been told by the survivors these "terrorists" as we have labelled them worked like special forces operators, and i dont see how the rebels could have had the training or resourcefullness to pull this off". Haydens 2IC, Brigadier General Mark Hawthorne said with a hint of concern.
"You may be right, but whoever it was will be brought to justice. Me and my boys will see to that"
"We will indeed sir" replied Hawthorne with as much conviction as he could muster.
The field marshall then strode off to his waiting jeep, leaving Hawthorne alone.
"If only he knew what is about to happen" Hawthorne said darkly, and with a grin.
Feel free to add to this in whatever way you would like, but i think Hawthornes knowledge of the incident is obviously more than he is letting on ;).
