After 3 years spent inactive due to internal affairs, notquiteaplace would like to reopen itself to trade and embassies, and reassert itself within this changing world.
3 years ago notquiteaplace faced a large scale economic depression and, due to it's nature, a state spread accross several islands, several pirate states formed in an attempt to oppress the people. The people of the state, already in the worst economic depression since our founding were divided and as much as 60% of the armed forces sided with the new "rulers". However, as it turns out these new rulers were not the bringers or wealth they promised to be and the tide turned as many of the forces turned back.
Notquiteaplace is a democracy and prides itself in being progressive and those who rebelled whether they turned back or not, have been let free with a few exceptions. Several leading figureheads of the pirates have been exiled. As a result of the rebuilding of the state's economy unprecidented growth has begun with most of the reasources barely allowed to gather dust before our return to work. And now the economy has grow to the point that we feel we can return to trading internationally and contributing as such too. As, while several months of revolution have cost us dearly, the people of notquiteaplace value what they have more than ever.
Our army has suffered worst, and while most of our military is alive and now very experienced, our equipment is in need of overhaul, repairs, and replacement, and as such notquiteaplace armed forces are offering several contracts to nations or companies willing to provide labour as well as early design (as having our military technology fully understood by another nation is not in national security's best interests, and should that information leak, the nation who helped us will be first to have a finger pointed at them, guilty or not). We presently require several thousand temporary ship building staff, production line works for heavy vehicles, aircraft and designers and technicians to create and rebuild our extensive misile/anti aircraft defense system.
