Hear ye!
As of this day - April the First, 2008 Anno Domini - the Federated States of the Kostemetsian Islands are hereby formed.
Government
The Federated States shall be a parliamentary democracy and federal constitutional republic led by an executive President. The legislative branch of the Federal government shall be a Parliament, which shall have two houses: the lower House of Representatives (elected by preferential vote), and the upper Senate (elected by proportional representation through the single transferable vote).
Area
By the consent of their respective governments, the Australian divisions of Queensland and the Northern Territory, the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste (or East Timor), the Republic of Indonesia, the Kingdom of Malaysia, the Republic of the Philippines, the Republic of Singapore, and the State of Brunei are officially allied states of our grand Republic. All their peoples shall retain both their home country's citizenship as well as Federated States citizenship.
Diplomacy
The Federated States are happy to open diplomatic channels with any other nation at any time.
