The Sin City Universe has always fascinated me. The noir feel of the comic series and the film is just something that I love. That is why I want to try and start a Sin City rp. With you, the rper, we can make this a great experience. It's going to have explicit content with all that violence and hard dialogue that we love.

How will it work?

This rp will be set in the same fashion as the comic series. There will be episodes created by myself with a general plot outline and there will be plenty of room and freedom for each of us to develope the story and its' characters. You can also submit your own idea for an episode. Now, each of these episodes will be connected through either a similarity in plot or certain characters. It's going to be complex but it will work. Each participant can create their own sub-plot or story arc within the overrall arc.

How will you keep this organized?

There will be a main hub thread where you can put OOC comments as well as links to the other threads. I will monitor the rps for godmodding and other things. I'm always very open-minded during rps and everyone else can pretty much do as they please as long as they follow the basic plot.

What kind of characters can we have?

The Sin City Universe contains cops, criminals (blurred line), mercenaries, politicians, femme fatals, and anything in between. You know the basic character template and you'll need to fill that out. Now, here comes a bit of a hard part that will require the participants cooperation. your character may or may not be killed in an episode and may or may not appear in another. Other characters will make only cameos. Of course, if you're signed up for this therad, you are more than welcome to create another character for the upcoming episode. We'll all decide wether or not which characters will be reoccurring throughout the rp. Your can also be your own crime syndiacte if you so desire.

What's the first episode?

The first episode will be entitled Of Steel and Fire. It follows The Big Fat Kill. In this episode, anarchy is theratening to overwhelm Basin City and its' beligered and corrupt police force which seems incapable of dealing with the surge in violent crimes. Several vicious and new criminal organizations are banding together to bring the city under their influence and turn it into a true Sin City. A city that is fully run by criminal syndicates and where vice and sin are the norm. The Roark Family has decided to make an alliance with the syndicate and allow them to move in as long as Roark assets are not endangered. Now, the city is tearing in two. A thin blue line of determined police and a few vigilantes are all that lies between this powerful syndicate and total control of the city.

This is all open for questions, comments, and ideas. My ear is always keen to suggestions.

Name: Detective Jack Castner
Age: 35
Height: 6'

Hair: Dark, slight salt and pepper

Bio: Jack Castner is a hardened veteran of the Basin City Police Department. His mother was raped and murdered by criminals when he was a young kid and his father suffered from alcoholism as a result of this vicious crime. He grew up practically alone and spent most of his days on the streets. Seeing the rampant crime around him he joined the police department in the idealistic hope of making a change. Of course, the reality of police work in Basin City hit him hard. Refusing to take bribes, he became an outcast as he struggled on the streets an honest cop. One man lent him a helping hand. John hartigan became his mentor and the two became close friends. During The Yellow Bastard, he tried to clear Hartigan's name but was threatened and stone-walled by his superiors. upon hearing of his death, Castner vowed to uphold Hartigan's values and try and do his part to save the city from maddness and serve the law. Catsner has a wife and two children whom he'll do anything to protect.
Personality: He's cynical, tough, and determined. A major flaw is he's a recovering alcoholic who goes to AA.

Name: Sam "Screwdriver" Dixey

Bio: Sam Dixey is a small time gangster. As a child he was never far from trouble, although he was often disiplined by his over strict father Sam still continued to push the his father untill one day, his father disowned him. He was forced out on the street where he witnessed a bank robbery. This gave him the idea of money laundering, this failed when he sold his printing equipment to fund his gambling habbit. He then started to supply the more shaddy characters of Basin City with fire arms. To this present day he still sells guns, every thing from small mini uzi's to sawn off shot guns. His policy is "if it breathes then it needs a gun"
Personality: Sly, Inteligent, but has a very bad gamling addiction.

Do not give up hope just yet. People will come around eventually. I'm not going to let this rp sink into the abyss!
