I was thinking that there might be an interest for an "Amazing Race" style RP here on II.
For this kind of thing to be a success, i'll be needing a lot of help from those who decide to participate (in particular if someone could make a scorinator for this). I would think that this could be done with anywhere from 6-18 teams.
For those of you who don't know what The Amazing Race is, you can get a good idea from this site: http://alpha.cbs.com/primetime/amazing_race12/faq.shtml
We'd also be needing places for the people involved to go; and things for them to do when they are there.
Here is a sign-up form if you are interested:

Would your nation be willing to host a leg of the race?:
If so, then explain the nature of the location and challenge proposed in your nation for the race:
I will offer up my country for a portion of the race. Seeing as there are no cars in Kurona, people will have to make it from coast to coast by their own means. Be it renting a horse, walking/running, hitching rides with bikers, farmers etc. They would also have to sail in.
What kind of challenge/places to see/place to stay at could the contestants expect in Kurona?
Northern Rangeria

The Principality of Northern Rangeria also volunteers to host a leg of the race. A route proposal:
Arrival from the earlier pitstop to the capital city of Halsanki, where they have to find the statue of Tapio Matsela, where they will receive their next clue.
(Common task): From the statue of Tapio Matsela, the teams must find their way to Haime Street 26, the birthplace of artist Eero Kolmarkha. Once there, they must drink a common Rangerian drink, tea laced with vodka. Once they have done so, the guide will give them their clue: to take one of two/three available boat rides along the coast to Turka, 200km west.
Lock or load (Crossroads task): In the Turka Castle, overlooking the city it gave its name to, the teams have a choice between two tasks, each with its pros and cons.
Lock: In this task, the teams have to go through the prison cells of the castle, each with a heavy bolted door, to find a prisoner (dressed as a 16th-century rebel), who will give them their next clue. The task is not physically demanding, but going through the more than three-hundred individual underground cells might prove a grueling task.
Load: In this task, the team must carry a total of fifty cannon balls from the castle courtyard to the cannoneers on the castle walls. The task is physically demanding, but with two people acting together and carrying the cannon balls on the handbarrows, it can be done quickly. Only when the gunnery master has counted the fifty balls, will they receive their next clue.
Clue: Drive to Sakila Garrison in Sakila.
Who likes to play with knives? (roadblock): In the village of Sakyla, located 90km north of Turka, one of the team members must participate in a common practice and pastime among Northern Rangerian soldiers: knife-throwing. Throwing the combat knife at 20 paces, the team member must hit the target dummy in the orange zone (much of the upper body) so that the knife sticks. If he hits the red zone of the dummy - hearth, throat or genitalia - they will be driven with a speedboat across the lake, giving them a good headstart for the run to the pit stop: a villa overlooking the Lake Sakila.
I'll work up a proposal tomorrow of tasks and locations
Still looking for more interested nations, as well as participants.
Is anyone else interested?
I was hoping for more of an interest than this.
