The Heartbroken fighter incorporates thrust vectoring, with a range of +30 degrees. The cockpit is a glass cockpit design without any traditional analog flight instruments. The leading features of the cockpit include simple and rapid start-up, light helmet, and highly integrated warning system. Other main features include the large single-piece canopy and improved life support systems. The swept back angle on the wings is 45 degrees. The airframe is comprised of mainly aluminum-titanium alloys and carbon fiber reinforced plastic. The engines have a coating of Zirconium Dioxide (http://www.popsci.com/military-aviation-space/article/2008-03/fake-diamonds-are-turbofans-best-friend) to protect from dust and debris. The aircraft has two tailfins slanted away from the fuselage at 40 degrees. The engines are low by-pass turbofans that produce 20,000 kg each and weigh 2,000 kg each. The aircraft is controlled by a fly-by-wire system. Three LED touch screens show the pilot, remaining weapons, a GPS map of the battlefield, an infrared view of the battlefield, and engine status.

The Heartbroken Fighter was designed to combat with the Sango-12 fighter, because it was rumored it would be a success. But, the failure of the Sango would be a threat to the success of the Heartbroken Fighter, cutting 50% of the funding.
