Tokyo - Right Outside Imperial Palace Early Afternoon January 13th 2013

"I am Ayame Tanaka reporting live for Sakura TV outside the Imperial Palace. Word has been received earlier today regarding an official statement to be read by the Premier himself today regarding yesterday's grevious events. As word has been circulating, yesterday the nation of Tokyoni was attacked by a terrorist group representing the interests of the belligerent Southern region of the peninsula of Korea, resisting our justified annexation of the North. Though the borders of Tokyoni are currently closed to all non-diplomatic-status foreigners, for the protection of its citizens, and all non-diplomatic foreigners have been repatriated, it seems that the terrorists have operatives within our own nation.

Under Kira's just law, all citizens of Tokyoni must register their name and face in the public database for the safety and security of all, yet it seems that the dissidents involved in organizing yesterday's riot had falsified information on their files. All figures responsible are charged with high treason and capital forgery and when apphrehended will be subject to public executions for the glory of the state. The riots in Tokyo, Pyongyang, and Osaka caused a total damage of over three billion yen to government buildings, as well as the death of fifteen Tokyoni soldiers and thirteen civilians with injuries unconfirmed but likely into the hundreds. Sakura TV, the official news station of Kira's Party applauds the efforts of the government to restore order and security to our citizens. If anyone should know the real name or whereabouts of the men and women in question, do not hesitate to contact the National Intelligence Corps. A reward of ten million yen and a referral for a party position are offered to anyone providing information leading to the apprehension and execution of these enemies of the state.

In related news, the Premeir's speech today is expected to indicate his course of action in response to the nation of South Korea, who is suspected of having seeded such terrorists in our nation. Foreign Minister Suzuki has already risen the official status of South Korea to Strained, and has demanded an apology and reparations from the South Korean President. No word thus far on South Korea's response.

I..."

[The national anthem of Tokyoni begins to play. Instantly, the reporter falls into a salute as Premeir Raito Yagami makes his way to a balcony overlooking the crowded courtyard below.]

"Citizens of Tokyoni!" the young Premier called to the cheering crowds. "I thank you deeply for your deep applause, for your continued loyalty to the state and all which is just and right. The nation of Tokyoni has never been stronger than in this moment. The terrorists and enemies of the state have made attempts to cripple our great nation but their cause shall be in vain. The strength of Tokyoni is in its people! One people! One voice! One cause! Justice shall prevail, my comrades. There is nowhere our enemies can run to hide from us, nothing they can do to escape us. Our iron will of justice shall be brought forth and anyone responsible for yesterday's riots will know the taste of our vengeance.

I call to you people of Tokyoni, people of Japan, people of Korea. We have all suffered many burdens, all made many sacrifices, but we are stronger for it. Tokyoni has never been more mighty than in this day. It has been suggested to me that the government of South Korea is responsible for these attacks upon our sovreignty. For over two years now, the President of South Korean has resisted every diplomatic channel I have attempted to persue a course of action that would set the entire Korean peninsula on a course back towards unity.

He is a corrupt, uncaring man, caring only for his own wealth and nothing for the wellbeing of his own citizens. I call upon all Koreans now, especially those still trapped in the tyranny of the South, the People's Republic of Tokyoni hears your desparate cries for help. Our ears are never deaf to the plight of the people. No imperialist army shall stand against our cause. I applaud the efforts of the many brave Koreans who have risked their lives to sneak away from the tyranny of the South into the justice of the North.

My heart is set upon this matter. Mr. President, I present to you now my ultimatum. If you will not personally apologize for this attack, and immediately hand over the operatives responsible presently located in South Korea as well as cooperating with our own efforts to track down those traitorous citizens of our own nation responsible for this horrific and inexcusable terrorist attack, we will take such hostility as an act of war. This is my ultimatum to you.

To the world as a whole, I, as the chosen representative of the People's Republic of Tokyoni hope you can see the justice and honor of my cause and will stand by me in the defense of my people. I would do no less for you in your hour of need. Tokyoni is strong. Justice shall prevail, as shall all true to it."

[With this, the national anthem plays once more, the Premeir marching away regally as the entire group gathered saluted.]

"Simply amazing," the reporter stated breaking out of her salute and facing the camera, "It seems that the Premeir has, and rightly so, challenged the corrupt capitalist pigs of the government of the pirate state of South Korea. Only time shall tell what their response shall be. For further updates on this, and other pressing stories, stay tuned to Sakura TV - The official News Network of Kira's Party."

To: The Respective Head of State.

Dear Honorable Sir or Madam,

In an unthinkable tragedy, our sovreign nation, the People's Republic of Tokyoni was unprovokedly attacked by a radical terrorist group operating within our own borders under the sponsorship of the government of South Korea. Nearly thirty human lives were lost as a result, with over one hundred critical injuries, and a total damage to government property of over three billion yen.

The nation of South Korea has, throughout its history proven hostile towards the People's Republic of Tokyoni in the past - primarily drawing issue with our legal and justified occupation of the northern section of the Korean peninsula. Our honorable Premeir has offered to the government of South Korea an ultimatum in hopes of restoring diplomatic relations, though we doubt it will be well received.

In light of both our current diplomatic situation and the gravity of the terrible, unprovoked attack, it is my solemn hope that the international community will condemn the actions of the South Korean government and pledge their support to the cause of Justice led by the People's Republic of Tokyoni in the event of an outbreak of warfare. We will not ever forget the support of our true allies in these trying times, and will do everything in our power to repay you one day.

Please respond urgently.

Sincerely,
Katsuhiku Suzuki
Minister of Foreign Affairs.

While we disagree with the principles of communism, we still feel dismay over the recent happenings in the People's Republic of Tokyoni. Terrorism is a threat to all nations in our world, be they communist or capitaist, democracies or dictatorships, republics or monarchies. Those killed in the terrorist actions in Tokyoni were innocent people, the same husbands, mothers and children that make up the frame of all societies. Therefore, we urge the government of South Korea to investigate it's interference in this affair, and punish those guilty, because terrorism can never be tolerated. We also urge the Tokyoni government to try to solve this through diplomatic means, as violence just leads to more violence. To this end, we wish to send diplomats to mediate in this conflict.

Signed,
Marius Stee

Secret Message to the Tokyonian government

The government of South Korea has shown their true face. The world doesn't have place for another corrupt, terrorist-supporting country. Therefore, we are prepared to grant you monetary and material support should you wish to liberate the South from it's oppressors.

Secret Message to the South Korean government

The false accusations of the Tokyonian government is but an excuse to invade and force communism upon you. But rejoice, you are not alone in your strugge against the communist forces. We are prepared to sell you material at a low price, helping you withstand the red tide, and perhaps liberate the North from it's communist oppressors. The scourge of communism must be fought with all means.

TO: Marius Stee, Minister of Foreign Affairs of The Holy Empire of Zaheran.

The People's Republic of Tokyoni applauds your noble stand against the forces of terrorism and chaos to which many leaders in the past have backed down. Such an uncompromising stand alone will ever rid such destructive and harmful forces from the earth. The People's Republic of Tokyoni is not a belligerent state and is tolerant of the many diverse forms of government found across the world.

The only matter we cannot tolerate is that of terrorism - the willful disregard for human life and the sovreignty of another nation. Throughout our two years of existance, we have tried every diplomatic channel possible to resolve the tension with South Korea peacefully, to little effect. Their President is also an uncompromising man, but in a negative manner. He has shown complete disregard for the good of the international community as a whole.

We would welcome diplomats to mediate this matter, though hold little faith in the South Korean President's willingness to respond to such channels.

To: The Holy Empire of Zaheran

We thank you deeply for your pledge of assistance to us. The People's Republic of Tokyoni is a scourge upon the world. The relations with the North under its former leader Kim Jung-il were preferable to its current occupied state. There are reports daily of South Korean citizens being kidnapped and taken to the North. I fear our current military protection is barely enough to keep the nation internally secure. We cannot afford to fight a war now, especially one based upon false accusations. Premeir Raito is an inhuman monster caring only to invade and oppress the innocent. I hope for peace, but fear it may not be possible.

While we normally do not support the ideals of communism, the terrorist acts of South Korea cannot be ignored. This state-sponsored terrorism has killed innocent citizens! Reopening diplomatic communications with South Korea as soon as possible is vital to the survival of both your countries. Warfare will not be acceptable for your people nor the South Koreans. Only through peace can this dispute be resolved.

"You've called for me, my Premier?" an older middle aged, slightly balding, Japanese man dressed in a military-esque uniform asked, with a bow.

"Yes, please sit down." the younger man (http://www.animenfo.com/anime/character/image/8492_69137.jpg) stated, motioning for a chair opposite him at the ornate dining table. "Minister Suzuki, I'm not certain how to proceed. The nation of South Korea is a looming menace to the security of Tokyoni, constantly spreading the seeds of dissent into our citizens. As long as it exists my control over the people is in danger. The public opinion is, as I had expected, sympathetic to those injured and condemnatory of the South Korean government if they were involved. The general world consensus, however is toward diplomatic channels. I can't afford in the long term to leave the nation of South Korea intact. Its influence is too much of a danger to my position. It must be destroyed!"

"Patience, my friend." the older man said, "The negotiations have never worked in the past with South Korea. This trend will likely continue. And if it does not... as a last resort, fabricating new evidence against them would not be difficult. I will succeed in turning the public opinion so against South Korea that their President will fear his own family of supporting us. We will annex their territory soon enough; we must simply be wise and wait until the ideal time to strike, when the world is in support of our cause."

"I just wonder some times..." Raito continued more to himself than to Suzuki, "Would father approve of what I was doing? In life he opposed the workings of Kira, but that was perhaps only because of his legal constraints. If he had known what I was doing, if he had not been required by his duty of honor in his job to stop Kira, if he had known about my involvement on a merely personal level... do you think he would have been proud of me, and what I still do to this day?"

"Your father was an honorable man, Raito." Suzuki said with a look of some sadness in his eye, "He was truly the dearest friend to my heart. He was willing to sacrifice his own life to save yours and the world from Lawliet's tyranny. And I can see his honor in you, in your cause, in your desire to spread your banner of Justice to the world. You carry on the Yagami legacy, Raito. Soichiro would be proud to see what his son is doing. I am sure he looks down at you from the heavens with the greatest of pride."

"Thank you, Minister Suzuki." Raito said with a solemn nod. "We shall invade South Korea with honor - in the name of my father. From this moment henceforth, all military operations waged against South Korea in this great struggle shall be named 'Operation Soichiru' in his honor."

"Long may his name ring on the lips of the people of earth." Suzuki replied. "For a thousand generations tales will be told of our liberation of the Korean people in his name."

"Our cause will not falter, for it is just." Raito remarked solemnly, "Go now, Suzuki, and set the world upon a course of action that will cause them to rally to our cause and banner."

"At once, my Lord." The latter said with a bow, turning and leaving the room.

We thank you for your words of sympathy and support for our nation in the time of this great struggle. The people's Republic of Tokyoni has constantly been pressing for diplomatic, peaceful relations with the nation of South Korea for the past two years, though with limited success. This latest event has merely exacerbated an already strained relationship between our nations. It has always been our intent to remain in a state of peace with all the sovereign nations of earth, but we fear that if the nation of South Korea continues to support acts of terrorism and refuses to meet with us diplomatically, warfare be the last and only resort to such actions.

We hope that you would be willing to stand with us in any possible contingency.

We thank you again for your pledge of support to those standing for the cause of justice and civilization. As we have requested diplomatic relations with the Republic of Korea and been denied our request numerous times, we do indeed agree that foreign diplomats may be necessary to mediate in this affair. We would thus welcome your diplomats, though of course cannot speak for the Republic of Korea on this matter. As far as 'peacekeepers', please define the specific role and state of arms of such individuals. The People's Republic of Tokyoni is currently, for its own protection in light of this event, operating under a closed-border status to all non-diplomatic-relatd foreigners, but may be willing to make exception on this matter for your forces depending on their role, armament, and duty. We thank you for your willingness to try diplomatic means to serve this conflict. Hopefully the Republic of Korea will realize that a diplomatic solution is to be preferred to a war. As for the peacekeepers, we were thinking of a lightly armed force consisting of approximately 200 men, with their primary task being to observe the armed forces near the border so that a sneak attack from one of the involved parties can be avoided. We understand your concern against foreigners on your soil, but we can assure you that we have no ill intention against you.

Secret Message to the Tokyoni Government

A fake attack on the diplomats by a "South Korean national" would be a perfect excuse for you to declare war on South Korea. The "peacekeepers" would then, if you so wish, function as commandos in taking out important enemy facilities and/or political or military leaders. We could also apply diplomatic pressure on the South Korean government to resign and accept a referendum on the the question of a reunification with the north. With a little manipulation the results would then show that a majority of the population would accept to be under Tokyonian rule. A few "observers" from friendly nations would then certify that he results had not been manipulated and that they reflected a the views of a majority of the South Koreans. South Korea would fall into your hands without much blood being spilled. What do you think?

"This is Ayame Tanaka reporting live from scene as a joint military and police force is concluding its business of promoting security once more for the Glorious People's Republic. According to a statement from the Premier himself issued to all military personel, all employees of the Embassy of South are suspected of being involved in the terrorist attacks of the twelveth, and are currently being arrested and taking in for questioning. Any found to be innocent will be quickly set free and repatriated to their home nation.

The Premier has noted that in effect this detainment of the South Korean nationals will cause the South Korean embassy in Tokyo to no longer function. The Premier states he would still like to press for diplomatic relations with the Republic of Korea, but fears that the presence of South Korean nationals in the capital may be used for ulterior purposes by those who wish to do our citizens harm.

Diplomacy will therefore continue through the form of third-party diplomats. Yesterday the Holy Empire of Zaheran indicated its desire to send diplomats and peacekeepers to both our nations to resolve this growing situation with as little violence as possible. Peace in Korea?

Asia. Sources in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that a delegation of Zaheranian diplomats has been dispatched to Korea to try to solve the crisis which threatens to further destabilize the region. Earlier this week, the Tokyonian Premier, Raito Yagami, in a speech accused the South Korean government for supporting terrorist actions against targets in North Korea, which is under Tokyonian control. The South Koreans have refused to comment on the event, but a source in the Zaheranian government stated that "negotiations are going on" and confirmed that government officials "has been in contact with the South Koreans, as well as the Tokyonians". It was yesterday the South Korean president finally accepted that Zaheranian soldiers be sent to the region to uphold the peace. A team of diplomats will mediate between the factions, hopefully restoring peace and stability. The Imperial Court has refused to answer questions about the situation in Korea, but a spokesman for the government will release information on a press conferance later today.

The Commonwealth of Tolvan finds itself torn over the situation in Northeast Asia. While the Commonwealth has long been staunchly anticommunist, we equally abhor the cowards who result to killing civilians for political or social gain. However, we must protest the arrest of the South Korean embassy staff by the Tokyonian government. Such an act, a blatant violation of the diplomatic immunity granted by most civillized nations, only serves to strain tensions and bring further instability to a region of vital national interest to the Commonwealth.

In order to ensure stability and protect its interest the Commonwealth will be deploying forces to the region to monito the situation and act as we feel necessary. Bear in mind any attack on this force could be taken as an Act of War against the Commonwealth and dealt with accordingly.

"I am Ayame Tanaka, reporting live on location. The preliminary hearings for the South Korean Embassy employees suspected of involvement in the terrorist attacks of the twelvth has begun. Already, nearly two-thirds of the members have been deemed innocent by the Courts, and have been returned to the Embassy safely, earlier this morning. The remaining employees charged are primarily the more senior of staff, as it is believed they would have the significant needed resources at their disposal to arrange such an act of terrorism.

No convictions have been made at this point. Being a humane and caring leader, Premier Raito has determined not to repatriate any of the innocent back to South Korea as, in the possible outbreak of war, he would not wish to expose the innocent to violence. Further, he feels the embassy being intact is necesary to fostering any hopes of avoiding violence.

In related news, Hye-Su Kim, the elected governess of the North Korean Territory of the People's Republic of Tokyoni has released the following statement:

'People of Korea, rejoice, do not fear. The time of our suffering is at last drawing to an end. As birth pains give way to the joy of new life, so will these momentary sufferings give way to new hope and unity for the Korean people. There has always been but one Korea - aribtrary, foreign-imposed borders could never truly divide our people. It was still dark, but the base was already bustling with activity. Groups of Jaegers were already up, working on their morning exercises while the giant C-17s that would take them to Tokyoni was being fueled and loaded. There was no heavy equipment, partly because it might have given the South Koreans a hint of what the Zaheranians were planning to do, but mostly because the soldiers didn't need it. Theirs was the role of the commando, trained to strike fast at important enemy facilities and inviduals, then disappear into the night. Instead, the cargo loaded was what they would really need; sniper rifles, explosives, man-portable missiles and light mortars. They had the experience and training to stay hidden for weeks, most of the men being veterans from two or three wars. Many had killed in battle. The South Korean government would soon realize that these "peacekeepers" would keep the peace in ways most unusual...

It had been less than a day since the Prime Minister had decided to dispatch forces to monitor the crisis in NE Asia and the first units were already nearing the area. The Combined Staff had opted to deploy virtually the entire Third Fleet to the area in a massive show of force. This would be the largest concentration of Tolvanic military power since the Second Indochine War nearly forty years ago. All told nearly 100 ships were involved, deployed over a vast area. While the bulk of the forces deployed were naval units, the entire Fourth Marine Division was embarking on amphibous assault ships for deployment should they be needed. Additionally the air bases on Korick Island and the Baradack Atoll were swarming with additional aircraft as several squadrons of F-28 and F-194 fighters were deployed alongside a full wing of B-12C bombers.

Back in the Tolvanic Home Islands several rapid deployment units were placed on alert and the entire VIII Corps was alerted to prepare to embark assault transports should the situation warrant such a deployment.

Robert Neicher was a man loved by few, if any, and hated by many. He was a incompetent fool, made life a hell for his subordinates and washed once a year. In short, in the ideal world he would have been fired as fast as a paper could be signed. Unfortunately, he didn't live in a ideal world. His father was a powerful man at the Imperial Court, and it would have been a disgrace for him to have his eldest son fired. Because of that, Neicher thought that his position in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was as steady as any stone, at least until his father died. But what he didn't know what that many wanted him dead, and that Zaheran needed a victim to die in a "South Korean" terrorist attack. Neither did he now that his father had approved of the plan, accepting that having a son die as a hero in a foreign country was better than having him live as a example for the need of good upbringing at home. No, this didn't he know, sauntering to and fro, waiting for the airplane to arrive, swearing at everyone he saw. His fellow diplomats, most agents from the DSS, the feared security service, had learned to ignore his fits of rage and his long rantings about the unfairness of life. They all knew of the plan, and seeing the man intented to die, they all silently agreed with it.

War was their business, and business was looking pretty good at the moment.

On the lower-most floor of the Corporate Headquarters building was what was possibly the most important facet of the entire operation. The Intelligence Division was fairly simple, aside from a few field agents with extensive training in espionage, the bulk of this employment sector was comprised of people who simply sat back and reviewed dozens and dozens of news feeds, internet web-casts, and diplomatic comminiques concerning conflict, humanity in its purest form. When a suitable hot-zone was located, it was sent higher up the corporate chain for evaluation as a potential deployment area for a team of highly trained operators, and the surfer who located the hot-zone recieved a nice cash bonus.

The situation in Asia was looking to be a second Korean War, and something on that grand of a scale would mean big bucks if a contract was agreed on, by either side. South Korea was looking to be the most likely, however. Intercepted communications indicated that they weren't in any condition to fight a large-scale conflict, and in truth neither was Red Dawn International, the private military corporation for which they all worked. It didn't have tanks or scores of combat aircraft, nothing really in the way of conventional military assets. It did, however, have personnel drawn from the elite forces of numerous nations, to include the USA, Israel, England Germany, and even the country in question, South Korea. A few decisive strikes behind enemy lines against key supply points and fuel depots would render any sort of large-scale military campaign ineffective once the tanks and trucks ran dry and the troops started to suffer from low morale after they hadn't eaten a decent meal in several weeks. From there they could lure some of the more disgruntled soldiers away from their posts and form a guerilla movement if the opposing country was more stubborn than usual, but that hadn't happened in a long time. Usually that first crippling strike was enough.

One of the numerous net-scanners came across the mass-emailed message from the People's Republic of Tokyoni, which detailed a concern for South Korea and its meddling ways. While he'd never known South Koreans to meddle in anything, the scanner sent the email up the corporate chain of command for review. His mortgage was due for the month and he could use that extra cash bonus that might come his way.

Farther up the chain the email came to the attention of one of the guys in charge of deployments and contracts. It looked promising, so he contacted a few of the private contractors on the payroll for an interested individual. He had a few options in terms of who he could send, since most of these guys would jump at the chance for some action, but not all of them were useful for the same things. Tyson MacManus, for example, was an excellent lone-wolf killing machine, but wasn't as useful for insurgency operations as Jackson Davis, a former Green Beret and therefore an unconventional warfare specialist.

He'd have to wait for the guys on high to decide what course of action they were going to take, before he put together a team. They would probably wait until open conflict erupted before deciding how to act, and that would take a while. The contractors, for the most part, understood this. Some of the non-military guys, the ones in the 'Hired Gun' section, weren't as patient and were therefore sent on the more suicidal operations. Until you proved yourself a competent professional, you didn't get any choice assignments unless you had the military street-cred to back up your resume.

For now, he'd just compile a few stand-by teams and wait. There was a lot of waiting in this business these days...

The Commonwealth of Chemelnki will be neutral in this situation. While Chemelnki has long been staunchly anticommunist, we equally codone the cowards who result to killing civilians for political or social gain. However, the arrest of the South Korean embassy staff by the Tokyonian government can also be seen as such an act. This is a blatant violation of the diplomatic immunity. This only serves to strain tensions and bring further instability to this region.
Chemelnki although neutral will be deploying forces to the region to monitor the situation and act as we feel necessary. Bear in mind any attack on this force could be taken as an Act of War against Chemelnki and will be dealt with accordingly. Aslo any blatant fake terrorist attacks that could occur will make Chemelnki have to side with South Korea. Other members of the GLNNA (Genevan League of Noble Nations Alliance) may also get involved and side with South Korea.

While we applaud your stance against international terrorism, we feel that the Commonwealth of Chemelnki might have got carried away. While we agree that the arrest of South Korean embassy personnel might be a violation of diplomatic immunity, two-thirds of the staff have already been returned to their embassy. Also, we think that further troop deployments to the region might destabilize the situation even more. Therefore, we request the following of the Commonwealth of Chemelnki:

1. The number of deployed troops will be kept to a minimum, i.e., no more than 200 soldiers.
2. That all troop movements will be coordinated with the People's Republic of Tokyoni, the Republic of Korea and the Holy Empire of Zaheran.
3. That no actions is taken before the suspected terrorist affiliation of the ROK has been thoroughly investigated.

We also warn the Commonwealth of Chemelnki that accusing the Tokyonian government of planning "fake terrorist attacks" and threatening to side with South Korea, a state suspected of connections with terrorist organisations, might lead to suspicions that the "neutral" Chemelnkian government is planning an aggressive war. We warn you, should this happen we will use force to end the conflict. Such an action would also prove that the "Genevan League of Noble Nations Alliance" is not as noble as it pretends to be, a fact which will be announced to the world. Heed our warning. You do not want a conflict with the Zaheranian Empire, I can assure you of that.

North Side of the DMZ

"This is Ayame Tanaka, reporting live on scene from the DMZ, where Premier Raito has sent several thousand more soldiers in the interest of security of our Korean citizens. An intelligence document sent by the South Korean government was intercepted by our security forces yesterday, indicating that the South Koreans were massing troops in Seoul. For the security of our nation, therefore, the Premier has deemed great fortifications of the DMZ necessary.

I'm here now with Seung-Ju Lee one of the soldiers recently sent to the border. How are you sir?"

A young Korean private in a Tokyoni uniform smiles, addressing the camera, "Very well, thank you."

"Now tell me, Private Lee, as a member of the People's Army, how do you feel about the growing tension here in Korea?"

"I don't fear the enemies of the Premier. If any South Korean imperialists try to even set one foot north of the border, they'll have to get through me first." At this, the man takes out his automatic rifle, points it at the camera for a moment, then instead takes aim at a spot on the ground a few feet away, firing a few rounds.

Ayame laughed lightly for a moment, "Well all of us here in Tokyoni thank you for your brave service, Private Lee. Tell me, do you have a family in the area?"

"Yes," the soldier said with a nod, "My father is an employee of the People's Department of Agriculture, along with my mother. My family runs a farm around 60 km north of Pyongyang. I also have a younger sister, aged sixteen. I haven't seen my family in over a year with my military training, but I don't regret a second of it. I am fighting for their protection and the protection of all others."

"I'm sure your family must be very proud of you, sir. So what do you think of the rumors circulating about a possible order from the Premier in the days to come to annex the Southern region of the Korean peninsula?"

"If the Premier orders it, I would happily obey in a moment. I would give my life to allow Tokyoni's Justice to spread to the South. The lack of orders alone keeps me from marching across this border and firing bravely at the imperialist dogs to the South."

"Well, thank you for your time, sir." Ayame said with a smile, walking but a step away from the border itself and panning the camera towards the South Korean guard to the south of the border, standing at attention. Standing on the border with the South Koreans behind her, Ayame faced the camera.

"Perhaps soon this will be all one united nation once more; perhaps the Imperialists will one day be driven from this land. May the cause of Justice triumph, and may all remember to honor those brave souls in the People's Army. The nation of Tokyoni salutes all of you for your brave service in defending our land from the terrorists abroad.

Kingdom of Lynion answers the call to Toykoni.

In response to the call of peace keepers for North Korea, Kingdom of Lynion sent in numerous warships which make up the 5th Squadron. The squadron landed somewhere north of the DMZ to setup a military base and military port for the squadron of ships. Additional, the 2nd Assassin Company is due to arrive at the Lynion Military base within the week. Thier goal is to keep the peace in the region.

Colonel Jian was recently promoted to Sky Marshall Jian, is carefully scanning the coast for any piracy ships or ships threating the peace. The Lynion's are currently wanted for reports from Toykoni.

Clandestine Meeting Chamber, Imperial Palace, Tokyo

"You called for me, my Lord," Foreign Minister Suzuki asked, bowing, before the younger man motioned for him to rise and take a seat at the table.

"Indeed, I did." Raito said with a slight sigh, "I must say you've done a particularly remarkable job of getting allies to our cause."

"Always a pleasure to serve the state, my Lord."

"But..." Raito continued, "In some ways, it seems that the international pressure is more against us than even before. Not that I really care all that much what the fools in those ridiculously unstable 'democracies' think of me; but even a thousand ants if they work together can present something of a nuisance to a superior being. Not a threat, but a nuisance. What we need is another 'terrorist attack', to get the fools around the world on our side."

"But my Lord!" objected Suzuki, "There already were threats of opening warfare against our nation if we were caught faking a terrorist attack. The case against us already may be too strong."

"Then we make a real one!" Raito shouted, slamming a fist down on the table, suddenly switching to a rather aggressive tone, "My Death Note still functions, does it not? Most terrorists generally die in the act, so it wouldn't be questioned. I'll just write that a few South Koreans commit a terrorist attack as their means of death. With the second Death Note locked up, and the rest of the world believing it to be the only one in existence, it's exceedingly unlikely it could be even remotely linked to me."

"But my Lord, there are no South Koreans present in Tokyoni; and if the cause of death is impossible, they will just die from a heart attack."

"Oh, but there are South Korean nationals - right here in Tokyo." Raito said with a smirk. "Do you really think I would have released the embassy members that easily? I have the names and faces of all of them, and they're all right here in Tokyo. Too easy really."

Suzuki blinked, "But is it worth it; harming our own people?"

"They shall not die in vain, they shall have the highest honor - in dying to give honor to an expanding state. There is no higher good than that. For but a few deaths, the people of South Korea shall know true Justice and Security. Is that not worth the alternative?"

"Yes, my Lord," Suzuki said, bowing his head, "Forgive me for having questioned you."

"Granted," Raito said with a nod, "Now come, Suzuki, I trust in the days ahead you will have a lot of work to do. You might as well enjoy the few hours of relative peace."

Exiting the room, Raito was accompanied by two masked bodyguards down a hallway towards yet another room, the guards stopping as he entered, locking the room from the inside. "Whose name to write first..."

Outside the ruin of The People's Court of Tokyoni Building later that day

"Today is a day that will be one of sorrow for years to come in the hearts and minds of all true to the state. In an unthinkable act, a group of terrorists have attached bombs to themselves, blowing up important monuments of our great nation's culture and honor.

The Tokyo Central Police station was raided earlier today by a certain Hye-Sing Do, a South Korean national and one of the members of the South Korean Embassy released several days ago by the Premier's order. The man entered the station with a gun, and stated he had a bomb on him, ordering all police forces in Tokyo to return to the station or he would detonate it, killing the officers stationed there. The brave police officers stationed there were able in time to disarm and kill this enemy of the state, but through this distraction, their forces were diverted and drawn thin.

The police force normally set to guard this plaza was recalled temporarily to the police station to deal with the hostage situation. Shortly after, several other individuals were seen forcing entry to the People's Court Building, armed identically to Hye-Sing Do with weapons which matched those of South Korean design given to the guards in the South Korean Embassy.

The terrorists, after forcing their entry into the People's Court Building proceeded to split up into several groups, some covering the entrances to prevent anyone inside from escaping, others proceeding to set up bombs within the building itself. After dealing with Hye-Sing Do, the Honorable Ranks of the People's Police Force returned hurriedly to the People's Court Building to stop this horrible terrorist act.

Though the People's Police Force fought honorably and bravely, as true citizens of our great state, exchanging fire with the terrorists and enemies of the state, but in an act of cowardice, one of the terrorists detonated the bombs, killing Police, civilian, and terrorist alike. Search and rescue teams are currently searching the ruins for any signs of survivors, but are at this hour holding out little hope.

In hopes of finding some evidence as to the motivation and organization of the terrorists, the military once more went to occupy the South Korean Embassy, the single man found inside dead, apparently by suicide, though it seemed apparent at least one other person had beat him. The single man found inside was Kim Jo-sin, the South Korean Ambassador to Tokyoni who had been released three days ago after being found innocent of all charges against him.

Kim died leaning over on a desk, his own hand holding a knife through his heart, his upper corpse having concealed a letter he presumably wrote immediately prior to his suicide. The contents thereof are as follows:

'Will heaven ever forgive us for what we have done, what we have conspired to do? We have sought to bring death and suffering to those who had done to us no evil, who have offered to us the hand of hospitality and kindness. We have acted dishonorably, all of us.

The orders had come from Seoul, as soon as we were released from the Tokyoni Prison - orders to destroy all central Tokyoni governmental buildings and to kill all governmental officials inside. The three primary targets were the Imperial Palace, the Parliamentary House, and the People's National Court Building.

My heart was deeply troubled in the days between our release and today, thinking of these dishonorable orders. I have prior to this always been loyal to my nation's government, but my position was to be one that promoted peace, not death of the innocent. To my shame, it was through my hand, though unknowing at the time, that these orders passed on to the others.

I had held them in my office, in limbo between passing them on to the others and burning them. I had decided earlier today to burn them, but to my horror, it seemed my secretary had discovered them in their hiding spot and passed the orders on to the others.

I pleaded with them, tears coming to my eyes, for them to see reason, but they would have nothing of it. They were more animal than human, caring more about the orders from Seoul than human life. In desperation, I ran back to my office, locking the door behind me, and burning the security layouts for the Imperial Palace and Parliamentary House, rendering it impossible for them to attack those sites.

Yet the lock would not hold forever, and before I could sufficiently incinerate the layout of the People's Court, the lock was forced, and I was overpowered by the mob of them. I was beat to the ground as some of my former friends, now more animal than human, ripped the plans right out of my hands, cut the phone line with the Embassy to the outside world, making it thus impossible for me to warn the innocent of the great impending danger.

I ... I cannot live with myself now, knowing what information that has passed through my hands has caused. There is far too much blood upon my hands, intentional or not, for me to ever live at peace. I pray only that heaven can find it within their mercy to look upon a tired, anguished soul of mine, and grant it some small peace in the hereafter.

I pray as my final wish, as a human being, as a Korean, that justice will be sought. That if the monsters I once thought of as friends are not stopped, at least the evil, monstrous government operating out of Seoul will be. I am ashamed at ever being associated with such a dictatorial regime, and only hope heaven and Korea can forgive me.....'

The letter there ends, a large spot of blood covering it below, presumably from when he stabbed himself in his heart. Kim Jo-Sin was truly an honorable man; may his soul find peace in the afterlife, along with all those other brave and innocent souls who lost their lives today.

Such an act of terrorism is unthinkable and inexcusable. The Premier is expected to make yet another speech later today in a memorial service for all the innocent killed in this tragic event. Further, the Parliament currently taking up the matter of war with South Korea in vote. The vote is expected to pass. As troops mass along the DMZ, the time of justice may be at hand. May every imperialist dog pay ten-thousand times over for this blood which is upon their hands! May Kira bring Justice to them all!"

She faced the camera, tears streaming down her face, "I am Ayame Tanaka! I will be strong! Now more than ever, citizens of Tokyoni must remain strong and loyal to the state! We will triumph through these terrible trials! We will be stronger for it! No act of terrorism can frighten us into submission! The people of Tokyoni are strong and united! No foe can stand against us! Stay strong, comrades! We will survive to thrive once more!"

"This is Seoul, capital of the Republic of South Korea."

[The voiceover is male, deep and reassuring.]

[More shots of Seoul follow - streets bustling with activity, the Changyeonggung, families in a public park. Suddenly, with dramatic chords, the screen jumps to stock black-and-white footage of an empty street. Litter blows across the road. The screen switches back to Seoul daily life, but jumps back and forth to more black-and-white footage, this time of various North Korean soldiers on parade in Pyongyang, and eventually stays on one of these scenes.]

"This is Pyongyang, former capital of North Korea, now a city of Tokyoni."

[Stock Korean War footage is shown.]

"Sixty years ago, communist North Korea invaded its southern neighbour. The Korean War was to claim over a million soldiers' lives and countless numbers of Korean civilians. However, these people did not die in vain."

[Footage of clearly-marked North Korean tanks exploding.]

"The free world rallied to protect South Korean sovereignty from communist aggression, and they were initially successful."

[Return to footage of modern-day Seoul.]

"South Korea is now a prosperous, free and independent nation, and an example to the rest of the world. Today, though, all is not well on the Korean peninsula."

[Soundless scene of Premier Yagami calling to crowds.]

"Once again, communism and tyranny threaten South Korea. The People's Republic of Tokyoni, a successor state of the North Korean regime, is threatening war and forcible annexation of the South Korean Republic based on flimsy accusations of Southern hostility."

[Again switches between shots of Seoul and Korean War battles. End on same scene of deserted Pyongyang street and freeze.]

"This will not be allowed to happen. Let it be known that the Federal Republic of Hamilay fully supports its friends in the Republic of Korea in the eternal struggle against oppression. Hamilayan soldiers will defend freedom and democracy till the last man, the last bullet and the last drop of blood, for all the time the Federal Republic stands. To all allies of liberty in this struggle; Hamilay marches to your aid. Even now, hundreds of thousands of soldiers, tanks, ships and planes mobilise to safeguard South Korean independence."

[Stock footage of Hamilayan military aircraft, warships and tanks boarding transports.]

"The nefarious plans of the People's Republic will not, cannot be allowed to succeed. The day Hamilay allows free countries to fall to communist tyranny without action is the day every value on which the Federal Republic has been founded is tossed aside and burned. "Sky Marshall Jian," shouted an operator as the fleet docked in the port. "Ranakin has requested we relocate away from North Korea. The message was only sent three minutes ago,"

To: Sky Marshall Jian
From: Prince Ranakin.

It has come to my attention that if the North part of Korea turns against you, you won't be able to withstand a naval attack. We have sent a telegram to South Korea and we are granted land in the south western part of the land. That way you won't be trapped.

End of telegram.

Jian looked around and folded the telegram and placed it in his pocket for the time being. He was at least happy they haven't moved anything onto the land. He watched the ships anchor as a radio signal was sent out to the other warships. Jian could tell Ranakin had a bad feeling about their current position. They were right as well. For security reasons, they couldn't afford to lose the fleet in case they were attack by the Northern part of Korea.

The Lynion's would land in the south western part of South Korea and set up a base of operations. They were to serve the locals and be a camp of refuge should war be declared.

Lynion's have reloacted to south western part of South Korea. They are seen as a peace keeping force and have no intension of siding with either North or South Korea.

Your Majesty,

We currently have little information about the situation, and while we confess that we were planning a fake attack against our mediating delegation, we had no involvment in the recent attack. We do not know if it were the Tokyonians or the South Koreans who carried out the attack, but we will continue our (secret) support of the former. If you wish to do so, you should act quickly.

The Holy Empire of Zaheran is shocked and disgusted by the recent terrorist actions of the Republic of Korea. The ROK has finally been proven guilty of being a terrorist-supporting nation, and in our fight against international terrorism, we support the Tokyionian government in it's invasion of South Korea and liberation of it's oppressed people. The governments of the Federal Republic of Hamilay and the Commonwealth of Chemelnki, in their support of a corrupt terrorist regime, have shown their right faces. It is clear that their claims of "supporting freedom" and "protecting against communism" is but an excuse for neo-imperialism and protection of tyranny. Once again it has been proven that those who shout highest about "freedom and democracy" are the most corrupt and oppressing.

Thank you. I wasn't accusing you of the terrorist act. It just seemed strange of that attack and I ordered the 3rd Lynion Guardian Fleet to reloacte from the North part of Korea to the South part of Korea, South-West corner of South Korea. I had a concern about if the North would backstab us, the fleet wouldn't be able to get out in time before being bloackarded.

Half of the Chemelnki anti-terrorist group snuck into a building close to the South Korean Embassy while the other half snuck into a deserted building near the plaza.

"Comander I have some activity on the thermo-scope" said Dahen as he passed the scope to Cmd Sakingi. "Hmm thats interesting... those people should not be there. Hey whats that? Wow they killed a south Korean. Thats insaine. and they left a note. Hmm I wonder if we can get in when they leave. Okay team lets move out to location 2232-B." "Yes Sir!" said Dahen. The team moved out of the building and into the darkenss that surrounded the city. Sakingi was hoping that the other half of the anti-terror group was on time with their objective.

plaza

"Hey Geniki look at this." said Hejini the commander incahrge of this group. "What is this... North Korean's in South Korean security uniforms. That is interesting! what are they doing? here come the north korean police!" A loud explosion ripped though the night as Geniki, hejini and others of the chemelnki anit-terror group watch as the plaze was engulfed in fire and debre. "we need to leave now lets go men!" said Hejini as he lead the team from the roof of the building towards the front door of the building five stories below.
The team was on the second floor when a few North Korean police officers spotted them. One North Korean police officer was huridly talking on his radio but could not give his superiors the location of the chemelnki anti-terrorist group because a bullet made of ice penitrated his skull. The other three officers were also killed with 5 chemelnki anti-terrorist troops wounded. Hejini ordered his men to exit the back door and hurried to fixed a small but powerful non-chemelnki explosive to the boiler in the building. As Hejini was running out of the building it exploded sending hejini, his men and North Korean forces for cover. Hejini and his men then ran into the shadows of an alley and sent a highly encrypted mesage to the Chemelnki Naval group that was close by.
When that was done hejini and his men ran to their objective location 3451-A, maintaaining radio silence along the way, were a stealth helicopter would pick them up. The situation areound the building was total chaos.

OOC: So everyone knows, at least in the latest terrorist attack, it would be nigh impossible to find explicit proof of foul play. Premier Raito - taken from an AU version of the anime Death Note - is in possession of a Death Note, and therefore able to kill someone with just their name and face, and further specify exactly how they would die. So he simply collected the names and faces of everyone in the South Korean embassy and wrote out the exact manner in which they would die - thus causing the "terrorist act" to unfold under the supposed guise of the South Koreans' determination. As the world is pretty much convinced that he isn't in possession of another Death Note, it might be a fairly hard case to make.

IC:

That Evening, In front of the ruined People's Court Building

Armed by a full company of ceremonial guards, several battalions of military standing at guard, Premier Raito made his way, standing in front of the ruins.

"Today has been a dark day for our nation, a day which shall never be forgotten. Our nation has been attacked by a ruthless enemy, intent at destroying our civilization and culture. A plot was carried out to day to destroy and kill all entities of our great state's government, by a group of terrorists and cowards.

And, had it not been for the bravery of one truly noble soul, Kim Jo-sin, the former Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to our great nation, the enemy's plot would likely have succeeded. This truly brave man sacrificed his own life to bring salvation to our people, and his name will therefore live on forever in the memory of our people as a great hero. It is with the greatest of sadness that I, Raito Yagami announce to the world the death of Kim Jo-sin, truly one of the most honorable men on earth.

Ambassador Jo-Sin was betrayed and murdered by his former comrades who, acting under orders directly from Seoul proceeded to attack and bomb this once magnificent building and symbol of the Justice all citizens of Tokyoni hold so dear. The South Korean involvement in this attack -cannot- be denied by any rational observation of the facts. All weapons fired were of South Korean design, matching in caliber and armament to those weapons issued by the said government to their citizens in the Embassy here in Tokyo.

An autopsy on the corpses recovered at the site of ruin has identified the terrorists as former employees of the South Korean Embassy in Tokyo. By the honorable Ambassador Jo-Sin's own accounting of the matter immediately before his death, the orders to destroy our government, our security, our way of life were issued directly from Seoul - the capital of the corrupt, imperialist state of South Korea.

Such barbarism, such contempt for life, such cowardice can no longer go unpunished. I call upon all civilized nations upon the world, regardless of ideology or government, to stand with me in a united coalition against the forces of terrorism abroad. No civilized or just nation can stand to see such evil, such disregard for civilization, continue to prosper.

Until today I had thought that South Korea could be reasoned with, that there was some sensibility to be appealed to. Today, however, has been a rude awakening to the true, heartless, senseless nature of our foes. The South Korean government knows nothing of justice or honor, and only a fool would believe they will limit their actions to merely our own nation.

History has shown countless that those nations who play neutral or attempt to pacify imperialist regimes often eventually end up on the receiving end of such imperialism. Neutrality is not a possibility in this stand. To all the great nations of the world, there are but two choices - to stand for honorable civilization and justice, or for barbarism and terrorism. There is no middle ground!

Today, we the people, the citizens of Tokyoni stand to dedicate the souls of victims of this latest unprovoked terrorist attack to the afterlife in peace. The brave members of the police force who gave their lives today to protect our citizens from the harm these monsters wished upon them; the innocent civilians caught in the wake of such monstrous tyranny. These men and women were our people, our citizens. They were mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters, wives and husbands, sons and daughters. All now stand dead condemned to the hereafter by the terrorist actions of a cruel and uncaring group of our foes.

But I declare to you today, in the name of these souls, in the name of justice, action shall be taken! The government in Seoul will be made to answer for this outrage! An eye for an eye! A tooth for a tooth! Death to Terrorism and Imperialism! Kim Jo-sin's wish will be reached! South Korea shall lie in ruin before our superior Justice for this misdeed. The heavens are on our side, comrades. None shall stand before us and live!"

When the door was shut the director read the mesage and looked at a map of the region. "I think it is time to go to South Korea." He took his phone and dialed a number when he gave the person on the other end the information he disconnected and walked towards his office window. "I hope that I am right about this. 8 hours till Operation Tiger."

"They are all acounted for except for this one close to the ambassidor's desk. We recived this data link form Section A sir. We do not know who he is or why he is there."

"We do not know at this time sir. We think that it could have been staged. But we do not know. Everything was of South Korean design."

Section B South Korean Embasy

Section B were inside of the South Korean embasy. They used the sewer system to gain access to the boiler room. From there they made there way to the Ambasidor's office. They left no sign and no one saw them. They finally reached the Ambasidors office. Nothing was touched and everything seemed to be in order. "Let's go we cannot find anything." said Sakingi. As they were leaving the office something caught Sakingi's eye. The Ambasidor's laptop. "Senku grab the laptop and the rest of you take out all of the hard drives from the computers in this intire building. Let's go gentalmen."

There was a blurr of activity as Section B took out all the hard drives out of all the computers in the South Korean Embasy. They then put in other hard drives that were plank. No one would be the wiser. The group then went to the roof of the building were a stealth helicopter waited to take them to the Chemelnki Naval group.

South Korea undisclosed air strip

The CFS agents arrived in South Korea a little before dusk. They then left the air strip to an abandoned building in downtown Seol. There they set up their command center for Operation Tiger. Computers were set up that would copy all mesages they would leave and come into the region and also mesages that would be sent to other nations in the region. A map of the region was set up on a far wall were little green dots flashed to show were the Anti-terror Chemelnki group was and there were red dots that showed were all Tokyoni polices were in the region.

Thanks to satilites the CFS agents were also tracking the activity of millitary targets of the Tokyoni government and the government of the Holy Empire of Zaheran. They were represented by flashing orange dots (Tokyoni) and blue dots (Zaheran). Also some satilites are taking pictures of the Tokyoni capital city and the Zaheran Capital city. In a far corner were agents that are compiling all the information of the members of the selected goverments into little files that would be sent to the Naval task group. Everything was operational. Kinji then called the asset 1264-D.

Watashi Wa Zero Da!
I am Zero!
Free people of China! I stand before you today to announce this moment in history where a new country is born! People of China, People of the World! I bring you Vahley Cagi, a land of freedom and equality! Weakness is not a crime! No longer shall the weak suffer at the hands of the strong, no longer shall we allow the oppression, hate and torture created by the Chinese Government. From this day forwards, I declare Vahley Cagi a new nation, a nation that shall seek to unite the world in peace! A nation that shall defend the weak from the powerful. This shall be our nation, as people, as humans, as free souls.

This territory, which we have liberated from the oppressive Chinese Government is now ours. The warriors of the Black Knights have fought long and hard, for our land. The momentum has not been lost and the Chinese continue to fall back. However, I do not believe in needless slaughter! The Chinese have already lost, and our Knights have already won! Let all who would seek refuge here in our great nation, who seek freedom and justice, have it! Our gates our open! We shall destroy the old China not with force, but with mercy.
These cities, shall form the boreder of our territory: Jinan, Zhengzhou, Xi’an, Chengdu, Kunming, Nanning. Our capital shall be in the same place as our deposed foes, Shanghai! Let them cower in their new capital as their people slowly abandon their weak and oppressive government in favor of justice and freedom!

history
Roughly two years ago a unknown man under the alias of Zero began a revolution in China. He, with his incredible strategic expertise, was able to accomplish near miracles with limited resources. He, and his rebel army that became known as the black knights , were hailed as freedom fighters and liberators, protectors of the weak. In no time at all Zero’s armies swelled to huge sizes, and under his command cut swaths through the Chinese Loyalists. It was in this campaign that a new and highly advanced technology was first tested in combat; Nightmare Frames. These mechanical, humanoid, monsters became instantly unrivaled on the battlefield, as single unit force multipliers they could not be topped. Zero made expert use of these new tools.
The battles and wars were kept tightly under a veil of secrecy and thus the announcement above is the first to the national community.

Present
With the advent of these new weapons, and Zero’s ability to rally the people under his command, and command them far more effectively than any commander in memory: Zero has taken control of a portion of China, announcing his final victory to the world, the leaders from around it in tense contemplation.
Though China is not defeated, it is no longer in a position to initiate a proper counter offensive. Zero has called off the offensive to cease the bloodshed and to improve his popular image amongst the world, as leader of a new country. Vahley Cagi, Freedom Seekers.

Official Communique to the Holy Empire of Zaheran

No evidence whatsoever has been given of South Korea oppressing its own people. The casus belli of a terrorist attack is flimsy at best and an outright fabrication at worst. South Korea has a long history of domestic democratic freedom. Regardless of terrorism, the South Korean people do not deserve to live under a tyrannical communist regime for the actions of their government. As it has previously been accepted South Korea is an independent, sovereign state, Hamilay's defence of it is the exact opposite of imperialism, as opposed to the imperialist ambitions Tokyoni has for the South. We also find it amusing that a self-styled Holy Empire deigns to lecture us on imperialist policy.

However, we have no quarrel with you. Our presence in East Asia will be for defensive purposes of Korea only. If you do not display hostility to South Korean or Hamilayan forces, we will leave you unmolested. If you choose to do so, the consequences will be unpleasant indeed. Choose wisely.

As you may have noticed, Hamilay has announced its intention to defend your nation against PRT aggression. We do not intend to renege on our word. Based on Korean permission, of course, we will be deploying the 10th Fleet Battle Group to the region, along with 25th and 51st Armies and the 8th Air Force. Preparations are now underway.

However, it appears that the international community appears to be leaning towards supporting the communists. In the event that we are not successful in Korea's defence, we propose to evacuate your citizenry and offer indefinite sanctuary in the Federal Republic. Rest assured this is not an attempt to 'steal' your population; again, this is Korean land and your wishes will be respected.

You may rest assured that Hamilay will do everything in its power to preserve a free Korea.

Encrypted Communique to Prince Ranakin, Kingdom of Lynion

We admit the evidence against South Korea is strong. However, Tokyoni is much larger and more militaristic than its southern neighbour, with a firm belief in its right to control over the entire peninsula. South Korea would be extremely foolish to antagonise them, and they have refrained from doing so for decades. Already we see the obvious threat to South Korea which a terrorist attack on the north would create. Furthermore, if they wished to do so for some reason, any attacks would most certainly have been carried out discreetly, rather than by registered embassy personnel. The Federal Intelligence Directorate has not discovered any evidence of official orders from Seoul to the terrorists. At this stage, Directorate analysis gives the most likely explanation as the South Korean embassy staff being Tokyoni sleeper agents.

Even so, if the South Korean government did carry out these attacks, what of its citizens? The fact remains that the government has provided stability, freedom and prosperity which the rule of communist Tokyoni will fail to live up to in every respect. Regardless of the foreign policy of Seoul, its domestic policy as opposed to its northern neighbour is ample reason enough for free nations to defend it.

While we are not going to impose our will on South Korea, Hamilay does not tolerate its allies committing acts of terror. When South Korea's security is guaranteed, half a million Hamilayan soldiers will be within their borders. This will provide ample leverage for us to prevent any terrorism being sponsored from Seoul, and it will be far more successful than any Tokyoni aggression could be.

True justice cannot allow such unrepentant acts of terrorism, clearly supported by the government of the imperialist state of South Korea, to continue. I do not like needless bloodshed; I have attempted up until now to mediate this issue diplomatically. But my patience is at an end!" A certain nationalist fervor came over the Premier's expression, spreading throughout the crowd.

"I will not let our people die in vain! I will not let such terrorism, such wanton disregard for human life go unchecked! The current government of South Korea is an illegitimate regime, supporting terrorist actions abroad. Set up first by Western imperialists over fifty years ago, the nation's government has continued to be a thorn in the flesh of all Asian nations seeking peace, and by extension, the civilized world at large. I will not allow this threat to the security of mankind and civilization to continue any longer! My patience with evil is at an end!

My demands are as straightforward as they are just! To the current regime of South Korea, I demand all members of the government immediately step down from power, and that the President and all senior governmental officials of the said nation submit themselves peacefully to Tokyo to be tried for war crimes and crimes against humanity. I demand further that the South Korean citizens be allowed to reunite with their brethren to the North, and elect a government more representative of their true longing for peace and security.

If my request is not met, I will not refrain from using military force to ensure the security of South Korea; to ensure that its citizens may finally live at peace without the terrifying specter of a tyrannical, imperialist regime hanging over their heads. To the citizens of South Korea, you are not our enemies; to the contrary, our soldiers would give their very lives to allow you to live in freedom and unity with your brethren to the North. I give my word of honor that no South Korean citizen, unless he violently opposes our temporary military presence to liberate the nation, will be harmed. Our mission is one of liberation, not of imperialism.

To the world at large, I am aware that many nations have taken heed of these happenings on the Korean Peninsula, and in many ways, I am glad for it. I am glad that we, as civilized nations can sit down together and diplomatically discuss this troubling issue. I am truly glad to live in such a civilized world, in which nations will come together and offer peacekeeping forces to ensure that no civilians are harmed in this transfer of power back to a legitimate government. I deeply thank all such civilized nations offering their support to the cause of global peace, and salute the brave men and women of all nationalities stationed now in the Korean Peninsula in the interests of peace.

I must warn, however, as there are rumors the imperialist government of South Korea may be secretly amassing allies against us, that any such support of international terrorism will be dealt with by the sternest force from the nation of Tokyoni. Any nation who supports violence against our troops in their efforts to instate order and peace in the South will be viewed akin to South Korea's government as a terrorist state and dealt with accordingly. There shall be no distinction whatsoever between those nations who commit acts of terrorism and those who support them financially or militarily. Either you ride with the ranks of honor and justice, or with the ranks of terrorism and imperialism. There is no middle ground in this conflict.

The People's Republic of Tokyoni is strong! If the bastard regime currently controlling South Korea will not yield to our legitimate interests of peace and civility then it will be made to crumble before our might. If a man strikes a snake with a staff, will it not in turn bite him?"

An uproarus applause caused Zero to stop his speech, watching the masses below seethe with energy. His heart thumped as if filling his chest with pride and excitement, his hands shook slightly with the adrenaline.

as a parade of his closest fighters walked out onto the stage with him. As they did the roar became even more enhanced. Zero let it sink into those who had followed him that this was it, their final victory. Then he motioned for silence, and it came almost at once. His members stood just behind him in stoic silence, slightly in the shadow of some tall building nearby, still wearing their Black Knight Uniforms, still un-introduced to the populace at large, still masked.

People, I ask you now to see and approve our new government. I, as king and General Primus, to rule over it until my time has come. And when it does, as it certainly will, let there be a new leader, elected by the people to rule over them by their will and belief in justice!

People of Vahley Cagi I give you our first General Secundas, to provide me with council, to act as council and general of our militaries! People of Vahley Cagi I give you Kyōshirō, Tōdō!

Kyōshirō Tōdō stepped forwards alongside Zero, and pulled off his mask so that all could see his face, lined with the aging effects of war.

Kaname, Ōgi who will be our Minister of Foreign Affairs!

Ōgi too stepped forwards and removed his mask. The procession continued on as such until all the most important positions were filled and declared.

Diethard Ried as Head of Intelligence…..Lakshata Chawla as Chief of Science and Research…..

Finally when the announcements had finished, Zero gave one last word to the world before turning and returning to his castle.

We! The Vahely Cagi, are from this day forwards a complete and lasting nation!

"This is Hendroku from CBC. The Prime Minister of Chemelnki has openly sided with South Korea during his press confrence this morning. The PM has also warned Tokyoni and Zaheren that harming any South korean citizens or crossing into South Korea with armed forces will be seen as an act of war. As such Chemelnki will mobilize all armed forces even reserves. We have just learned that there are three Naval Carrier task groups that are in the South Korean region. 2 more Naval Carrier Task Groups may come later. 10 CCTs (Chelenki Comando Team 5000 troops total) have bee seen landing in the area around the South korean Capital. Anti-terror troops have become the bodyguards of all senior officials of the South Korean government. There are roomers that a no-fly zone will be put in place around the captital of South Korean. Senior offcials in the CAF have hinted that the no-fly zone could be over all of South Korea. Only aircraft from nations that support South Korea will be allowed to fly."

South Koreans were uneasy but glad to have Chemelnki help them. Chemelnki helicopters could be seen flying over the city and senior officals with Chemelnki bodyguards roaming the city streets. The Chemelnki Comando Teams were at every entrance and exit of the capital city, checking cars and buses and luggage from air ports. F-18 and F-14 conducted shorties around the country from the 3 Naval Carrier Task Groups. There were wispers that Chemelnki troops would be increasing the south Korean streangth at the DMZ. Now South Korea and Chemelnki waited for Tokyoni's and Zaheren's next move. 15% of Chemelnki Amred Forces pluss logistics personel were stationed around or in South Korea. Small Anti-terror teams 5 in all with 6 men each were around Tokyoni, lurking in the shadows reading for the call to war if Tokyoni or Zaheren started it. Other wise they would stay still and continue lurking around.

Meeting Chamber, Imperial Palace

"War is inevitable now; the Republic of Korea has been a threat to my control in this region far too long. There was never a question in reality regarding the truth of this matter, only one posed to the outside world. And we have tried, to partial success, to convey to the outside world, the brutal, imperialist nature of our foes. All we can do now is sit back and allow history to unfold, comrades." Raito spoke, sitting down at a table, with a number of others present - most notably Foreign Minister Suzuki, as well as prominent military leaders of both Japanese and North Korean military branches.

"Now, as for the first matter of discussion tonight, it would be unwise to move the military in immediately. There are nations, I fear, who know not to leave our own affairs on our people's birthright of the Korean Peninsula alone. Some have conspired to support the current regime in Seoul, and direct confrontation with their troops may indeed be resultant of immediate military action there. I cannot afford a long, extended foreign war; our troops are stretched thin enough as it is along the DMZ - something this war will help to alleviate. Therefore, direct military action for the moment, within the Korean Peninsula, below the DMZ shall not occur at present."

A slight murmur occurred between the staff members present until Raito waved them to silence, "That is not to say we shall take no action in this matter by any means; we will simply do nothing that will directly risk our nation being enacted into a state of war with a foreign power. The solution to our problem is simple. There is no genetic, linguistic, or major cultural difference between Koreans living either north or south of the DMZ. The civilians of one nation could easily pass as those of the other. Therefore, I have ordered many units of Red Guard to enter the South, through tunnels formerly considered as possible invasion routes. The Red Guard, are of course, in all technicality, civilians, having no direct relation to our nation's military. There exists therefore plausible deniability for our government to claim no responsibility for their actions as they act on our behalf. As the Red Guard are dressed in civilian clothing, they can easily blend in with the South Korean populace at large - thus making foreign nations occupying the South on behalf of the imperialists unable to know whether or not they can trust the general population. With the trust between the South Korean population, and its government and occupying military severed, the excuse can then be made for our legitimate military to enter, and the process of liberation can be carried out far more effectively."

"But sir!" exclaimed a Korean, "The Red Guard are civilians, can you really expect them to be able to carry out military-scale operations of this sort with any real effect?"

"That's just it," Raito said, "They don't need to. Their role is simply to ravage the morale of our adversaries, kill enough of the imperialists while dressed as civilians that the imperialists will fear for their safety in the streets -anywhere- on the Korean peninsula. The very fact that they are civilian in nature is what makes them so perfect for the role."

The men present nodded in approval, the Korean who had spoken last, and somewhat warily.

"Very well, it is decided then." Raito announced, "Already over one hundred thousand Red Guard units are present in the South, having been moved there in anticipation of this event over the past two years. Orders have been passed to all known Red Guard Battalions to strike at critical governmental and military sectors of the South Koreans and their allies tomorrow, posing as South Korean civilians. May our foes tremble before their Justice!"

“Ogi, I think it is time we contact Tokyoni, I would like you to open diplomatic communications with their government.” Zero said, looking at the large screen on the wall that connected all their main offices in a video conference. It was almost like working next to each other, even when several miles separated the various heads of state.
“Yes, I can do that. It’ll be done in just a bit.” Ogi said, spinning about in his chair to face his computer. “Hey Zero, don’t you think it’s time you showed your face to the world?” he said over his shoulder.
“No, Zero is the leader of this country, the man behind that mask is just a puppet for that persona. And if the media asks…”
“You’ll say just that.” Ried cut in a mischievous tone, completing the sentence and fulfilling his more clandestine role as Zero’s media relations advisor.
“Exactly!” Zero said, laughing as he pulled off his mask, to reveal a face different from most of the other members of his country.
They had long ago finished creating and establishing the country, and long ago been fulfilling their assigned roles. The Champaign bottles had already been opened, today had merely been the official declaration that the rebellion was complete. Things weren’t really any different than they had been for the past half year, yet an air of success filled the air regardless. It gave everyone a sense of strength and accomplishment, and maybe boredom as they began to settle into the routine of the peaceful running of a country. Soon the military police would be replaced by the civilian police, the unity that had currently made Vahely Cagi almost crime free would decline and crime would rise. The inevitable problems of a well established nation would begin to take their toll, but none the less they had succeeded.

A private message to the office of Minister Suzuki.
We the Vahely Cagi and our King: Zero, wish to open diplomatic relations with the nation of Tokyoni. Zero has requested audience with Prime Minister Raito in the hopes that our two leaders can come to an understanding and friendship.

As you are no doubt aware, the growing tensions on the Korean Peninsula are indeed consuming a good deal of the Premier's time and energy; however, I have presented the matter to Premier Raito, and he has stated he is more than willing to accept your request of a direct audience.

Rest assured, Tokyoni has no intent of military engagement against any neutral parties. Unlike the Republic of Korea, we are not an imperialist state. Your forces, so long as they do not prove directly hostile to our own will remain undisturbed.

For your own safety, it might be advisable to relocate outside of Seoul itself for the present. It has been indicated to me that there has been some degree of civil unrest there, and the situation may escalate. Realize that Tokyoni views all Koreans equally, and we will not allow Koreans on either side of the DMZ who are supportive or neutral towards our government to be harmed.

A group of five Koreans, appearing as any other civilians ran through downtown Seoul on foot. Their hearts raced, not solely from physical exertion, but with the anxiety and yet longing for the task set before them. The Red Guard was a paramilitary organization, not the most organized or central of groups. Most "squads" consisted of groups of young people who were close friends to one another and loyal to the state. Participation in the Red Guard was entirely voluntary; originally it was arranged as a sort of civilian defense corp against a possible invasion from the South.

And to the Koreans now running down the street, it seemed they were finally able to do their duty. They stopped for a moment, next to a bus stop, trying to appear as merely a group of college-aged friends. "Alright guys, we're about to go in." one of the young men spoke, "There's an active South Korean military compound just a few blocks further. The cowards are hiding amongst civilians, but that actually works to our advantage."

One of the members was visibly shaking from apprehension. He'd trained most of his teenage and adult life in his Red Guard unit, but they'd never actually seen real military action before. And almost certainly they would be severely outnumbered. The chance of returning from the mission alive; the chance to ever see their friends and family in the North again they knew now were very slim. But it was their duty, and no one questioned it.

Seeing his friend's anxiety, the man who had first spoken placed a hand on his shoulder, "We're serving the Premier's cause of Justice." he advised him, "There is no higher honor than this. Even should death overtake us, we will be given great honor, both in the form of great recognition in this world, and great prosperity in the spirit realm.

Now comrades, we either return from today's operation alive or dead. Not a one of us will be captured by those imperialist dogs alive; that is paramount to the success of the mission. If they try to hold you, pretend to surrender, then detonate the explosive charges on your body; and try to take as many of those imperialist bastards as you can with you."

"Alright," the second man spoke after taking in a deep breath, a look of commitment coming to his eyes; he could think of no better way to die than in the company of friends fighting for such a just cause as this. "For Justice!"

As if at some silent signal, all five began to run down the street towards the military barracks. As they approached down the street, they soon reached a barricade. A South Korean officer was standing guard. "This is a restricted zone, show some ID!" he ordered.

"Gladly!" the first man in the group stated, reaching into his jacket, and withdrawing a pistol instead of an ID, shooting the soldier with pinpoint accuracy in the head. Completely unaffected as the soldier dropped dead, the others quickly removed their own weapons, some semi-automatic rifles, but more importantly, grenades.

"For Freedom and Justice!" they shouted, each throwing a grenade towards the compound, each exploding with tremendous ferocity. As the South Korean military rushed towards the scene of the attack, the attackers rushed behind the barricade itself, firing a sea of bullets from the submachine guns at the imperialists, killing at least several dozen. Throwing a few more grenades into the compound for good measure, soon even over the sound of raging battle, the commander of the Red Guard squad was shouting to his men to retreat.

At once, the group began a mad rush down the alleyway they had come down, continuing to fire down it at their retreat. A few seconds later, the South Koreans had entered the alley, shooting down in the process one of the Red Guard. "NO!" shouted one of the other members, now drawn to tears at for the first time in his life having seen his friend be shot down by the enemy in real combat. The figure lay on the ground stunned; the wound itself was not fatal, but unless he could somehow escape from the South Koreans in time, it might as well be.

"Keep retreating!" the squad commander shouted to the other three, himself rushing kamikaze towards the oncoming South Koreans, firing his gun madly, filled with rage with what had happened to his comrade. Jumping to the ground instantly as he reached his friend's form, he pulled him to his feet, aiding him as they moved with something between a limp and sprint away from the scene.

A singular thought flowed through their heads. "In the main downtown, they would be safe." There were more than enough civilians to blend in with; from there, they would simply travel back overland to the North before the South Koreans could track them down and live as heroes for the rest of their lives.

And just as they were reaching the said destination, out of seeming nowhere, a shot flew through the body of the squad commander, a look of shock and agony coming across his face, as he shoved forward his friend, hoping the latter would make it.

"Long live a unified Korea!" he shouted as he dropped to the ground as the South Koreans approached. "And death to imperialist dogs!" Saying this, he detonated the explosive charge upon him, sending the South Korean soldiers flying back. He died with a smile on his face, knowing that he had died fighting for freedom and to save his friends. To him, there was no greater honor.

OOC: Chemelnki, several issues with your last post. Firstly, you can't godmode; you can't control my units, or by extention their armaments/orders/movements. It's just not good roleplaying etiquette. On that line, the Red Guard are all equipped with simple C4 explosive charges. Nearly every nation in the modern world has the capabilities to make them, and there's really not much variance to differentiate ones made in one country from another. Unless my troops were stupid enough to paint the Tokyoni flag on them or something (which they wouldn't be), there's nothing physically visible to differentiate there. Further, by definition, an explosive more or less destroys itself after use. All Red Guard were instructed to detonate the explosives if captured, destroying any evidence on the manufacture of such. C4s cause a rather complete explosion; there might be some chemical residue left, but not enough to really "identify the maker" so easily as you had it.

Secondly, Tokyoni has in fact two capitols, Pyongyang and Tokyo (and to a lesser extent Osaka as well); which of the two did you target? It really wasn't clear. Further, how did your troops enter Tokyoni in the first place with the quarantine against foreigners? I for one very specifically stated how the Red Guard got into South Korea, you said nothing really (unless I missed it) on how a military force somehow got into my nation undetected. Further, you roleplayed as my units in some parts of your post, not allowing me myself to control them; this is not good roleplay etiquette again. You stated there was "panic and terror" and specifically controlled my units while yours combated them.

With the following points in mind, I am asking you to edit your post accordingly. What currently exists will not do I'm afraid.

And as a note, knowing Raito's character he is NOT one to back down if he's attacked; it will just make him all the more likely to retaliate.

The Korean DMZ

"I am Ayame Tanaka reporting live on scene from the DMZ for the exciting developments of our Glorious Leader's attempts to bring justice and peace to the world. Earlier today, a South Korean terrorist attempted to cross into our sovereign territory, under order from the enemy, and opened fire upon our guards stationed at the border.

The skirmish was quickly resolved, as our forces went on to occupy the entire facility for our protection. The South Korean soldiers stationed at the border were escorted to a temporary holding camp in Pyongyang for their own protection, as it is believed they themselves were not involved in such events, and it is not Premier Raito's intent for harm to come to the innocent, regardless of their race or nationality.

The People's Republic of Tokyoni pledges to the world at large that none of these men shall be harmed; on the contrary, they are being housed for their own protection against the more violent citizens of their nation who might well do them harm in trying to overtake the border. The South Korean soldiers were given chance to contact their families and ensure them they were all alive and in good condition, as our Leader would not wish to worry the families of the innocent unnecessarily. The facility that the South Korean soldiers are being housed in is a former Tokyoni military base, and the South Koreans are being provided with every luxury afforded to our own military personnel. They were allowed to keep all non-military effects upon them; their arms and armaments were secured for safety purposes, and will be returned to them once this situation has pacified.

At the moment, the People's Republic of Tokyoni, in a show of strength against the forces of chaos and injustice, now stands strong, occupying both halves of the DMZ facility. The Premier has issued a statement that anyone not directly affiliated with either the Tokyoni military or the military of one of its direct allies attempting to enter the DMZ will be viewed as a terrorist against the People's Republic and dealt with accordingly. Security posts have been made to warn the innocent against approaching the facility.

The stricken snake marches forward with vengeance, citizens, ready to strike with venom against the next to attempt to do it harm. Our military presence on the very border of a state with such a record of terrible war crimes will demonstrate to the world that the People's Republic of Tokyoni will never bow down to terrorism; never slip from the duty of protecting the lives of its dear citizens. Justice will guide our cause, comrades. We will triumph.

I am Ayame Tanaka reporting live, on scene from the newly-secured DMZ. Long live Kira! This has been a broadcast of Sakura TV, the official news network of Kira's Party. For updates on this, and other pressing stories, stay tuned to Sakura TV."

Meeting Chamber

"My Lord, this is foolishness!" General Edo exclaimed, "If we know that the enemy is here, in our very nation, why can we not move in to intercept."

"Because," Raito said quite deliberately, "The world opinion of our nation currently hangs in the proverbial balance. It is our supreme duty to ensure that the world as a whole supports our annexation of the entire Korean peninsula. And what better way to ensure it than a truly unprovoked attack upon our nation. The former two were, in all technicality staged - though to such a degree I highly doubt the outside world would be in any way able to prove such definitively.

This attack though, from a direct pledged ally of South Korea, would promulgate the martyr status of our nation to such a degree, I would believe even most democracies abroad would favor our cause as one of pure self-defense.

Whoever takes the first hit appears the victim, whoever strikes first, the aggressor. So far, we have done nothing directly aggressive that can be linked directly to us. Even should individual Red Guard members be identified as North Korean nationals, because of the dis-organized nature of the Red Guard, we could plausibly claim that they acted of their own accord without any orders from governmental entities, and in that way claim innocence on the matter.

The matter of securing the DMZ is, indeed, a potentially contraversial one, but because I am going to such lengths to ensure that the captured South Korean soldiers are treated humanely, and publicizing it to a large degree, it is doubtful our adversaries will have much to make a case on in that matter.

Now, the beauty of this foreign attack upon our sovereignty is this: The force detected is relatively small; a few squads at most. I suspect they may be more well-trained than our own Red Guard, but they fight a very different battle. The purpose of the Red Guard is simply to cause chaos; the alleged purpose of these enemies is to attempt to destabilize our nation.

With such relatively small numbers, while I imagine that they will do some significant damage, it is nothing we cannot recover from, and the new allies it will bring to our cause will far outweigh any immediate losses from it. Further, as we know in advance they are coming, we can have military personnel standing by to apprehend them once they begin their attack. Presumably, like the Red Guard, their strength is in the element of surprise - something they unknowingly do not possess.

They will be disposed of quickly and efficiently, and in the process, we will discredit Chemelnki as an aggressor and imperialist, and present ourselves to the world as a true victim. This is nothing more really than the equivalent of allowing the other player to make the first move in the game of chess; and I assure you gentlemen, that I've never lost such a game."

A slight murmur had permeated the room near the beginning of the Premier's response, but by the end there existed only a certain stunned silence. His tactics seemed ... counter-intuitive to say the least, but there was indeed a certain strength in that.

"So we do nothing, my Lord?" General Edo asked.

"Oh, no, continue to track the enemy, and have your men standing by to intercept them. Just let the fools make the first move."

"H-Hai." the General nodded at last, not entirely pleased, but knowing well enough to avoid directly clashing with the Premier.

"As you were, gentlemen," Raito stated, rising to leave the room.

The Fascist Federation of The Grand World Order Response

The occupation of the DMZ HQ and the detention of South Korean citizens is a direct violation of South Korea's sovereignty. The Fascist Federation has gained authorization into South Korea (ROK is apparantly a non-player nation) to protect the Republic's interests and rights. We are deploying a total of 300,000 Army personnel, 150,000 Marines, 800 Special Tactics Force Agents, 40,000 Federal Guardsmen, and respective Naval personnel (Including Air Force members).

South Korea

The first slew of ships and aircraft were arriving from the nearby Province of Iodine (Northwest Coast of China). This group contained a total of 50 S.T.F. Agents, 20,000 soldiers of the Grand World Order Federal Army, 35,000 members of the Grand World Order Federal Marine Corps, 5,000 members of the Grand World Order Federal Guard, 32 F-22s, and 33 F-35s. The ships themselves were a Battleship, four Destroyers, five Cruisers, three Frigates, five Amphibious Assault Ships, and a Nuclear Supercarrier. Numerous C-130s flew above, mainly carrying Marines and their equipment. All 50 S.T.F. Agents were in a Sikorsky Sea Stallion.

The force had recieved authorization to enter the port of Inchon, while the 50 S.T.F. Agents were headed for Seoul.

When the S.T.F. Agents arrived in Seoul, they quickly suited up, loaded their weapons, and packed into several HUMVEEs supplied by the South Koreans, then headed off towards the DMZ HQ, using the cover of night to conceal the move. South Korea had not officially authorized what was about to come, they only had officially authorized the actual presence of GWO troops.

The Special Tactics Force is a 35,000-man force of extremely sociopathic soldiers trained from their birth to fight. They were noted as GRIFFITH-II's Private Army, though they were almost entirely an Infantry force. On average, about 25,000 newborns/clones ((Depends if you're today MT or 1990 MT)) are put into the 25-year long training program every year, but only about 250 of them actually live through training. Training consists of heavy brainwashing, advanced special forces training, the gaining of a Sociopathic mind, physical training, and even more training for 24 years and 10 months. During the next two months, the Agents are forced into a live-fire Wargames in the ruins of former New York City in the Province of Uranium. During this, thousands of them are slaughtered by their fellow cadets until one team wins. On average, only about 250 cadets will survive.

The HUMVEE convoy was still en route to the DMZ...

"Natiara, this had better be good," a familiar figure to the Kharanai royal family stated, for the moment entering a dark-lit cave, around nine guerilla-looking guards standing by the entrance, weapons loaded and pointed outwards, "As far as the public knows you died during our war for independence. It's just a few more years we have to keep this ridiculous pretense up, Nati, but we must do everything right."

"So cold," the young woman he addressed smiled, stepping forward. A petite figure, standing five and a half feet and most, she still held a certain imposing dynamic to her. Still, her demeanor changed one to one of strange warmth in the presence of the man before her now. "I'd have thought my own Ghastar would be a bit more pleased to see me for the first time in months. No matter, we have business to conduct."

Herself the leader of the A'Dhoraknor, the most radical sect of Kharanai society, on paper, Natiara had been dead since before Kharan even officially had its independence. Preaching the message of Kharanai isolationism and possible imperialism against threats, her message had been too radical for the royal family to (officially) support in these dark times. In reality, her status as living was well-known by the leaders of the Kharanai government, her organization funded in secret by them.

"I speak on behalf of the interests of the Kharanai people, as always." Natiara began, "For several years, I have believed in a course of action that was ... isolationist. And it seems that our Supreme Leaders agreed with me. Yet, it seems that a potential ally, one of the few in existence is in danger. We cannot allow this to continue.

Around a month ago, you see, the nation of The People's Republic of Tokyoni was targeted by a ruthless terrorists organization organized by the government of the bordering nation of the Republic of Korea. The citizens of Tokyoni are an honorable people, with a just and rational society; organized rather differently from ours, but still significantly superior to most other governments on the world of earth.

The mission is simple. A'Dhoraknor operatives are already present in the Republic of Korea, ready to strike on my signal. Key government officials and infrastructure points will be destroyed overnight. I want you to suggest the same course of action to the Supreme Leaders. Realize, however, whether or not they agree, we will move. That is all. So ensure that the Supreme Leaders are informed in time so that they are not too startled by this turn of events."

"I ... understand." Mokti nodded, "I will attempt to persuade the Supreme Leaders to see our point of view on this matter."

South Korea, President's Home.

"Mr President, your wife would like to see you." the knock came on the door. Since the outbreak of hostilities with Tokyoni, security had been increased tenfold.

"Send her in," he sighed, placing a hand on his chin. A moment or so later, the door opened, the figure of a tall Kharanai man, instead of the expected wife entering the room.

"Securit...!" the President cried, but before he could even finish the word, his face turned to a grimace as his head collapsed on his desk, dead, blood flowing out of the gaping hole in his chest where a poisoned dart had struck him.

A few seconds later, over a dozen South Korean guards arrived, but too late to save their leader, the poison having already worked its way through his system.

"In the service of the A'Dhoraknor, for the benefit of the people of Kharan and her allies! My duty is done, I enter Lotrikhol now with a pure soul!" the Kharanai man shouted, detonating an explosive on his body, leaving nothing but charred remains of the room behind.

"South Korea's president just got knocked off," announced "Jack" Reginald, the director of the Federal Intelligence and Reconnaisance Agency while storming into GRIFFITH-II's office.

"Go figure. Initiate Emergency Government for South Korea. We're now in command, their government is leaderless," replied the Grand Commander, not at all shocked by the recent event.

Near the Korean DMZ

The convoy of HUMVEEs had entered the DMZ, and the headquarters was just on the other side of one final hill. THe HUMVEEs slowly and quietly pulled to the top of the hill, so that the FHASAWs, MG3s, and Mark 19s could provide support once the attack began. There were 10 HUMVEEs, most outfitted with MG3s.

All of the S.T.F. Agents, except for those manning the vehicle-mounted weapons, silently disembarked. Their stark black armor made them impossible to spot in the night, combined with their skills in detection avoidance (Though they were not at all specifically stealth troops.)

The 40 Agents stopped and took aim at the TOkyoni guards in positions that could wreak havok on them once detected. The Mark 19s aimed towards the more fortified buildings, while the FHASAWs and MG3s aimed towards groupings of guards.

The Lieutenant in charge of the force said through the comms system in his gas mask, "Brothers, have you selected a target?"

"1st Element reporting, all members have targets."

"2nd Element reporting, Red Team is still selecting targets...selected."

"3rd Element reporting, I'm still selecting a target. I'll get the bastard at the gate near the machine gun on the left."

"4th Element reporting, all members have targets."

"5th Element reporting, we're ready to take out the lights."

"6th Element reporting, mounted weapons ready to annihilate."

"Alright, get ready to CQC after the exterior troops are taken. Initiate firestorm in five, four, three, two, one..."

As soon as the Lieutenant said "One", the team began firing at the targets they had selected. The Mark 19s were launching hordes of grenade shells towards the heavily secured areas, while the others simply aimed at their targets and any other TOkyoni troops that were near their firelines.

Across the rest of South Korea

Since the leader of the South Korean government had been killed, the ROK, though still peaceful, was labeled as a "Fallen Nation" by the GWO, and therefore, the GWO quickly claimed the land of South Korea for itself. The takeover was peaceful, and no real resistance was met from the South Koreans. The ROK military was added to the total military power of the GWO, though they would not do much in the invasion of North Korean Tokyoni.

Meanwhile, the bulk of the GWO force began massing near the DMZ, preparing to lash forward at the Tokyoni nation at any moment. Divine Tigers, MLRS vehicles, numerous artillery cannons (Including a few 800mm ones...yes, I know 800mm is extremely large, but the devastation it releases is worth it) infantrymen and their light vehicles, helicopters; it was all there. And it was about to launch a massive offensive onto Tokyoni territory.

"Who ordered the assassination of the South Korean President?!" Raito exclaimed, slamming his fist down on the table. "I needed that man alive as a scapegoat. Now those Fascist animals are going to use this as an excuse to take over. It will be worse than Rhee!"

"Patience, my friend," Suzuki advised. "The matter is not entirely so grim; fortune, it seems, always seeks balance. We too can use this matter to our advantage. After all, the war in Korea is no longer one between nations, but one between ideologies. The Fascists are ... rather barbaric peoples; the civilized world as a whole will not support them. It would be very easy actually to portray the war in general as a struggle of Democracy against Fascism. With the native South Korean government abolished, the South Koreans citizenry are therefore left with a choice between which of the two forces to support - a foreign force that brings nothing but destruction and tyranny, or one made up of their fellow Koreans who only wish to bring order and justice back to the world and live in peace and unity. We will be favored by the population. And the Fascists cannot long justify their incursion into the Korean peninsula. No, I feel the fools may have just given us the legitimacy we were looking for."

"You do raise an interesting issue," Raito conceded, "They have clearly proven themselves the aggressor after all. So the strategy from here forward should focus on unity for all Koreans against this foreign oppression. Indeed, the way things turned out, we even look like the liberators. Do you think we stand a chance against these barbarians though?"

"Their might is a thing of legend," Suzuki stated solemnly, "There will be many casualties on both sides. Korea will bleed many years even after the last gunshot is fired. But, they cannot succeed. It is an impossible task they have before them. History has shown that no Empire, no matter how strong its military can ever stand intact if the people themselves do not support it. The Korean people have known much suffering and injustice at the hands of foreigners over the past century. They are a strong people; they will not submit themselves to a new foreign tyranny. And so, they cannot hope to succeed; I only hope as many innocents may avoid death as is possible."

"Wise words, Raito, wise words."

Courtyard in front of Imperial Palace

(Sakura TV Broadcasting)

KOREAN (http://youtube.com/watch?v=kzpiP7OpaFE) National Anthem played as Raito marches outward to address the crowd, the Governess of North Korea at his side.

(In Korean, not Japanese)

"People of Korea, honorable members of the Korean race, which has existed for centuries of legend with its rich art and traditions - who have brought much hope and ingenuity to the human race. You have always held your traditions, your way of lives dear to you, and have always fought to defend your homeland from those who would wish to destroy your culture.

I admit, in the past, my own culture - that of Japan once held a deep animosity towards your own nation, and for several decades held your people under force. This was a terrible injustice, committed by a former regime that I had hoped to have erased from existence. It has always been my deepest wish that our two noble cultures would coexist in mutual peace and tolerance and grow higher and more mighty together.

The Korean Peninsula has, for over half a century remained divided; families, friends, lovers kept from visiting one another for all this time. It has always been an issue very dear to my heart to reunite the Korean people under one homeland - one of their own culture and identity; one free from all threat of foreign imperialism.

And, like my predecessors in Japan, the former regime in North Korea too was corrupt, opposing this dream of unity and peace and twisting it into one of violence and imperialism. Accordingly, I have attempted in my two years of unity with the Northern region of the Korean Peninsula, reduce corruption, and improve standards of living for Korean citizens of Tokyoni.

I have greatly improved the social order of the nation, executing many of the corrupt officials of the former North Korean government who were responsible for the slaughter of many innocent Korean civilians. Under Tokyoni, the standard of living of North Koreans has improved threefold by even the UN's estimates. It can be shown through the facts then that my desire is only for the freedom and self-determination of the Korean people - free from the oppression of foreigners.

The death of the South Korean President brings trouble to my heart. He and I rarely saw eye to eye on all issues, and he was suspect in a regime that provoked violence against civilians - yet even so, I would have wished he were given a fair and humane trial and sentence, not murdered savagely. Rest assured, no citizen or ally of Tokyoni killed the President of the Republic of Korea.

No, the answer is much more dire. A foreign power, calling itself the 'Grand World Order' has used the event of the President's death to try to claim for itself power over the Korean people - to try to steal your lands and traditions from you, and place all Koreans under a far harsher tyranny than even Japanese Colonialism.

In this moment, it seems a dark time for Korea, with such a Fascist foreign power seeking to destroy all Korean citizens hold dear. I call out to patriotic Koreans on both sides of the DMZ - regardless of what political affiliation you might hold - to stay true at least to Korea. The People's Republic of Tokyoni stands ready to defend all Koreans, all innocent peoples of the world, from unjust foreign aggression. The GWO is an Imperialist State, and has no place in a civilized world. Korea is a free and independent territory, and its people should be allowed self-determination in their own affairs.

We present this request to a candid and just world - that Korea be defended from this foreign invasion, and that the Koreans be allowed to select their own government - in the name of all that is just. To the brave and patriotic Koreans, know that your struggle is not in vain. The Red Guard and People's Army stand by your side, ready to fight and die for your freedoms. No imperialist regime shall ever take freedom from our hearts. Our cause shall triumph, for it is just.

Long live a free, united Korea!"

All across South Korea

Most would say that what the GWO turned the Former Republic of Korea into was simply repulsive. However, the GWO Government simply viewed it as another trophy.

Within hours of the GWO takeover, the Internal Control Department was having a field day. For some, the "shit hit the fan."

The former police officers of the Republic of Korea were being retrained to follow the GWO's form of law enforcement. All they had learned about respecting civil rights was to be thrown out the window; They would become collaborationist "thugs" who wouldn't hesitate to hospitalize a child by beating them with an electrobaton. Their dress-style patrol uniforms were being swapped out for body armor. Their handguns were replaced by MP7 SMGs, FSARS shotguns, Kriss Super Vs, and P-90s. Along with their firearms, they carried both a 3-foot longbaton and a 200,000-950,000 volt electrobaton. They were becoming the Seoul Provincial Metropolitan Civilian Control Unit, or SCCU for short.

The military had faced a major change as well. The troops were trained that it was perfectly fine to shoot civilians in enemy nations. Propaganda was being drilled into their heads, slowly giving many of them bloodlust. Their equipment was recycled and used to make their new equipment. The "Oppressor" uniforms were made with advanced ballistic and knife protection, as well as a severely intimidating look. The K1 tanks were melted down to create superior Divine Tiger MHBTs.

In the cities, construction crews belonging to the ICD began placing massive flatscreen propaganda TVs every few blocks, which would repeat messages to try to convince the South Koreans that they were happy, and that rebellion or collaboration with the enemy was a futile attempt at overthrowing the Order. The ICD Division of Media Control began monitoring all non-live broadcasts, making sure that no anti-GWO messages were being sent. The Seoul Province was put under the rule of Count Willhelm Richard III.

In the area around the border, massive amounts of GWO troops were mobilizing. Bunkers had been constructed facing North Korea. RAH-66 Commanches had begun flying patrols above the border, along with entire companies of ground troops. In the cities near the border, one would believe that a coup de'tat was in progress, as soldiers marched in formation through the streets, coupled with massive armored vehicles ranging from APCs to massive, lumbering HPACVs.

"My Lord Raito, it seems our cause has drawn some unlikely allies," Suzuki stated, "But war breeds such things. We've received word from a certain Kharan-Serenno Federation, who has promised us military aid against the Fascist aggression - calling it in their own words 'barbaric and inferior - action which will limit severely the progress of human societal evolution'. They have sent one of their top military officials, Andoris Sirava, the firstborn son of their own Supreme Leaders, Lagia Sunari and Ragoris Sirava. The weaponry of the Kharanai seems somewhat non-conventional, relying mainly upon what we might consider to be "medieval" weaponry, mainly staves and darts. They're a technologically advanced society, however, and their weaponry is made of such a metal that it's imbued with a certain quantum energy, allowing it to quite literally slice through any normal matter perfectly unhindered - causing, as you can imagine, quite devestating effects. General Sirava is scheduled to be landing in Pyongyang sometime this evening, where he will coordinate a defensive strategy along with our North Korean geneals...

And, interestingly enough, it seems we have strong allies on both sides of the border. Many high-level South Korean officers have defected from the Fascists' grasp, supporting revolution. The South Korean people suffered for decades under military dictatorships, and therefore know firsthand the terrible suffering they can bring. Chief among these defectors in terms of rank is former five-star General Yeung Sam Choi of the Republic of Korea. He has declared publically, at great risk to his own person, to the Korean people that we are 'the force most likely to restore peace, order, and democracy to the Korean Peninsula'. To his personal agreement, in fear for his safety, the Red Guard has coordinated his silent escape through a former North Korean invasion tunnel, into a region now north of the DMZ. By all estimates, he too should be arriving in Pyongyang before nightfall. Pyongyang seems by all estimates the most effective place to mastermind and coordinate a strategy for a war of liberation. With the combined efforts of the People's Army, the Red Guard, our Kharanai allies, and much of the former South Korean military supporting us, together with the will of the Korean people for peace and democratic reunification, it stands to reason that we cannot fail."

For one of the first times in his political career, Raito stood almost stunned. Suzuki truly has a brilliant man for having orchestrated this. Even he could find no flaws in the strategy. This war now, seemed very realistically winnable.

"I want to fly to Pyongyang immediately, as soon as my jet is ready," Raito announced, "To meet with these other brilliant minds who will win this war for us, and thank them personally in advance." Raising a glass of wine to the other few members of the room in a toast, he shouted, "To victory, comrades!", repeated enthusiastically by all present.

((OOC: I do have to call out the antimatter weaponry. The CERC, which is the leading organization in quantum physics, can only make Antihydrogen, and estimates that it'd take 100 billion years for them to create a gram of it.

Also, storing antimatter requires a near-perfect vacuum, as it automatically annihilates with matter on contact. In addition, antimatter annihilates, as said before. This means that the antimatter and matter neutralize each other, like negative numbers and positive numbers. Even a far FT nation would have to respect that, as it complies with Newton's Laws of Conservation.))

Matter is mainly open space after all. So it stands to reason that it should be able to pass right through other matter completely effortlessly. I should, theoretically be able to reach my hand right through my keyboard or computer screen without any resistance. The only real reason that I cannot do this is simply because my matter is on the same 'frequency' as the matter in either of the other objects.

If, however, matter could be polarized at a quantum level to another frequency, it would still hold together quite well, the laws of 'normal' physics would still apply to it in every practical application - it simply would have the property of being able to pass through other matter unimpeded. Official Statement of the Federal Republic of Hamilay

We are pleased that the Fascist Federation of the Grand World Order has chosen to take up the fight against communist aggression and tyranny. However, we note with interest that the GWO has decided to fill the power vacuum left by the tragic assassination of the South Korean president. Your efforts in galvanising the Army of the Republic of Korea to resist the North are laudable, but we trust that the control of the Republic of Korea is only a temporary measure and that control will be returned to the legitimate Korean government after the threat from the North is neutralised.

Please note that the Federal Republic has pledged to defend the Republic of Korea's sovereignty from any external threat. We do not wish hostilities between our two nations, and reiterate that we welcome an ally in the struggle against communism. However, we are sorry to say that any nation attempting to establish control over the Republic of Korea will face highly unpleasant consequences.

The Republic of Korea has shown no resistance to our rule, and once the matter is over, the Republic of Korea will still be a province of ours. However, do note that our provinces are almost completely sovereign nations. They are granted their own proportional military forces. They are granted the right to make their own laws, as long as they stay within the laws of the entire nation.

Another twenty five weapons systems had fired off their four payloads of DMOABs at the Korean capitol. These would be aimed at government buildings, not any civilian or military sectors. This would be used to confuse their people quickly. The next stage was prepping a force of five hundred C-130Js for the attack that imminent. Two hundred thousand Marines had finally made it to Congaree soil. From there they would board the Congaree vessels and be moved to a specific location.

The Grand World Order's definition of 'sovereign' is, quite frankly, bizarre, if a 'sovereign' state must also follow the laws of of the Fascist Federation, which are culturally incompatible with much of the world. Again, we warn you that the Federal Republic has pledged to safeguard an independent South Korea by any means possible, and we do not expect that, when faced with a choice between freedom and fascism, the citizens of a proud liberal democracy will choose the latter. Once more and for the last time, we ask for a guarantee of an independent South Korea post-war.

We are sorry to see the fascist takeover of the Republic of South Korea, and frankly would rather see a unification of both states under the People's Republic. However, we cannot allow either of these to happen. Thus, the Federal Republic proposes a ceasefire deal - Hamilayan troops will not fire upon Tokyoni forces, nor advance across the DMZ. Once stability in the region is regained, we will return to the status quo, with independent North and South Koreas. Hamilayan troops will remain based in South Korea, and will be able to eliminate the remote possibility of state-sponsored ROK terrorism against Tokyoni. Please respond if this arrangement is agreeable to the People's Republic.

We would first like to clarify the structure of our own government. While we may derive some of our philosophical basis from the teachings of classical Marxism, our economic and governmental systems are far removed from that which has historically been referred to as "communistic". While corporations in and of themselves do not exist within our nation in the same direct manner they do in yours, and while inheritance is effectively non-existent - we are a meritocratic nation in nature. Individuals are allowed to fall and rise according to their own potential and dedication, and in such there is an effectant social stratification, similar in most respects to what would be known as "classes" in other societies. Further, while there are no traditional corporations, and all necessary industries - defined as that which is directly necessary to support human life - are government property, individuals are allowed to hold very senior management positions within such industries on a personal level, acting independently of direct government supervision. Such elements of a 'free market' and its competition are a core component of our own nation's industry and success. We merely oppose the devise elements of corporations and inheritance which serve to diminish the efficiency at which individuals of the greatest potential can truly rise to the highest positions in society. In conclusion, we are not communist in any traditional, historical sense of the world, and would find the terms of 'meritocratic' or 'technocratic' far more directly applicable. Our only real common ground with communism is our despising of the areas in which capitalism seems to promote disunity and inefficiency. In a similar manner, we oppose the irrationality of communism in rewarding all citizens equally regardless of their potential or dedication.

Further, our nation does quite clearly allow for democratic elections. Premier Raito was, himself, elected democratically into office, originally as Prime Minister of Japan, by consent of the Japanese people. His political actions to amend the Japanese Constitution were all entertained legally and through referendum, with full support of the majority of the Japanese population, as stipulated by law. To portray us, therefore, as being undemocratic is a blatant falsehood and slander, and we take the deepest of offense to such things.

On a further level, in its present state, the People's Republic of Tokyoni has brought new life, freedom, and vitality to the people of North Korea, who legally consented to our annexation. Under our rule, women's rights achieved new highs in the region, direct, democratic elections for the governor of North Korea were allowed by all citizens of it - most interestingly, a woman herself winning the said election. Local elections are commonplace and respected in all regions of our nation, and the right of the people to elect representatives to national councils and petition the government directly with their greivances is an honored tradition that our government has gone far to enforce.

Finally, our wish, in light of following the true principles of Juche, not those twisted by xenophobia and hatred, is for all peoples, all cultures to live in true freedom and self-determination. We oppose any and all acts of imperialism worldwide. Our cause in this conflict is simply to allow the Korean people themselves to elect a form of government of their own choosing, not one brought about by Fascist Imperialists. We would certainly cooperate with any international efforts to move to demilitarize the Southern region of Korea from foreign troops, and cooperate in an international peacekeeping effort to allow the South Koreans themselves to vote on the most important issue of the future of their own nation.

It is our goal to respect and cherish all human life, to protect it from forces of evil and imperialism. Freedom, justice, order, cultural self-determination. These virtues are the heartbeat of our nation, the virtues we will fight and die to protect. We only hope you will see that we mean you, and the Korean people nothing but peace and tolerance, and a bright future.

With best regards for peace,
Suzuki Katsuhiku
Minister of Foreign Affairs.

We understand entirely your position, and thank you deeply for your support of a peaceful resolution to this matter. The Korean Peninsula has been divided long, separating families, friends, and lovers from each other; yet perhaps such suffering is unavoidable in the name of greater peace. We would support this action if necessary, though, ultimately we would wish the sovereign Korean people to decide for themselves the future of their nations. It is not right for their fate to be decided by foreigners, and we fight only to protect their rights as a people and cultural identity. Whatever decision they themselves make as to the fate of their land, we will respect.

We have decided to hold a provincial vote open for South Korea's people. The vote will cover the following subject: Should South Korea become a GWO Province? The ballot will have two answers; Yes, and No.

Secretly, the Federation was going to rig the election completely. The polls would be electronic. Officially, this would be to save money and make it much more convenient for South Korean citizens, as they could simply reach their nearest Informational/Promotional Terminal. Secretly, this would make it much easier to rig.

Official Statement of the Federal Republic of Hamilay

The Grand World Order has repeatedly ignored our demands, and has no cultural, geographical or legal basis for annexation of the southern Korean Peninsula. However, in the interests of international cooperation and self-determination for the population of the ROK, we are prepared to work with elections for the Korean people to join the GWO given the following conditions:

The elections will be organised by the civilian government apparatus of South Korea only and supervised by neutral, international observers to ensure fairness.
If the option for joining the GWO does not receive a majority number of votes, the GWO will renounce all territorial claims to the Korean Peninsula.
The South Korean people are given a third option - reunification with the North - on the same ballot.

We have no objection to a peaceful, democratic reunification of the Korean peninsula, as we have now shown in our recent international declaration, and would be prepared to accept your wishes in the form of internationally supervised referenda with an aim to reunification to be held amongst the population of the North and South. However, we are not confident that efforts to convince the GWO to see reason will be successful, and military action to liberate the South from their control will be necessary before any such steps can progress. The Hamilayan command in the East China Sea is now moving to this end. We are willing to put aside our petty political differences with your nation in the interests of the Korean people, and are willing to cooperate with the People's Republic to fight Fascism and its allies.

Thus, Hamilay proposes a partnership with the People's Republic of Tokyoni to sweep tyranny from South Korea.

The old admiral strode the bridge of the 7th Fleet Group's flagship, a frown on his face. The flagship in question was the RHS Vehement, a brand-new Longsword-class right off the Lyran docks, and it showed in the spotless bulkheads and pristine electronic equipment. The bridge crew were the same, straight out of the National Naval Academy, the best cadets of their classes but cadets all the same. Fleet Admiral Holland, forty-year veteran of the Hamilayan Navy, felt out of place. He stared out the wide bridge windows at the dark mass of the RHS Defender. The old Nagato-class dreadnought was a relic from a bygone age, as Holland was feeling in this environment. All the Nagatos were due for scrap or reserve fleet duty in the next ten years, with the international mood abandoning the battleship for good, but the two with the 7th Fleet had been allocated to this mission for what would likely be their last hurrah. Holland felt more at ease on the Nagatos, which he had served alongside for decades.

This whole expedition was unsettling to him. Ironically, it had began as a throwback to Cold War days - the Second Korean War - but now the North was looking friendly and it was the South to be invaded, having been bizarrely taken over by fascists. The Korean Peninsula was no longer the stable region it once was, with the political situation changing at the drop of a hat. Well, fighting fascists was something Holland could understand and do well enough. He had precious few Marines with which to land on the peninsula, but the Army liasion had assured him the 96th Guards Airborne would be able to do that job well enough, and the enemy had little time to prepare defences. Two corps of Marines plus more land forces were being mobilised back home for deployment to the theater, so he was told, but they wouldn't be here for several days at best.

Worrying about the ground war, though, was not his problem, as every Hamilayan naval officer told themselves all too often. If intelligence was accurate, the 7th Fleet vastly outclassed all hostile naval forces in East Asia, with three supercapital warships (albeit two outdated in both equipment and in doctrine) and ten aircraft carriers and escorts of Questarian design, the best there was to be had.

The vessels of the 7th Fleet would protect the two brigades of Marines rustled up from the various ships and one Army airborne division in landings to the west of Busan, which would then probe into the city to determine what resistance, if any, would be faced. Ideally, the transports would then sail into the city harbour and begin offloading their troops, but otherwise, they would have to make do with unloading on the beaches whilst a struggle for the city was fought. Once the landing grounds were deemed secure, the fleet would divide, the bulk sailing east into the Sea of Japan to protect the Tokyoni mainland.

The task force that had left Qingdao was now just 200 miles away from the Senkaku islands, preparing to land a force there and slowly sweep up through the Ryukyu islands. A task force from another nation lay on the horizon, noticed by several sailors on a frigate. They soon saw that it was a Hamilay task force, and identified it as neutral. They would have to fear Tokyoni task forces as they got closer, though, and thus called in for support from Task Force Catfish for her support as she snaked up to Korea.

Modified Styx (changed to be surface-surface) missiles on the shore of Karufuto rained out towards the coastal defenses in Hokkaido by the dozens, attempting to clear what Tokyoni defenses were there. In addition, seven SCUD- C missiles were shot towards downtown Sapporo. They were each armed with 600 kilogram high-explosive warheads. In addition, shore-launched regular Styx missiles were aimed to be fired at any Tokyoni ships near the Strait of La Perouse ,wether civilian or military.

The Yellow Sea

The Yellow Sea was wedged in between two GWO Provinces; the Province of Iodine, which was where most of the "invasion" troops came from, and the GWO's newly acquired Seoul Province (The entire nation of South Korea was renamed Seoul).

As such, the GWO had claimed most of the Yellow Sea to be under their control. Thus, ships ranging from the newly-christened Super Dreadnought FWS Nirvana to easily over 300 Marine Attack Boats.

Of course, chances were that the actual Provinces themselves would serve to be more of a challenge for invading fleets; Both of them had hundreds of anti-ship and anti-air batteries, turning the Yellow Sea into a naval meat grinder. Due to the recent events regarding Tokyoni, both Provinces were put on Maximum Alert. While Busan wasn't a city bordering the Yellow Sea, the two fleets would be able to swing down from the East and hit an invading force from the side. Additionally, some of Iodine Province's power could reach Busan.

When one of the GWO's satellites spotted Hamilay's fleet, the Naval High Command of the region got to work. They would pretend that they didn't know about Hamilay's approach, giving them a false sense of security. Then, the fleet could hit them from the side as they deployed their troops. This was all based on the idea that nobody would be foolish enough to actually take their chances against the GWO in the Yellow Sea without over ten fleets if they knew about the firepower locked away there.

We owe our very lives to the Grand Commander, and we thank him every day for his wise actions.

For your appeasement, the Seoul Provincial Management Department will be completely running this vote, with permission from the Spire itself. The data will be transferred to our Provincial HQ. The only involvement from the Federal Government will be the protection of such data; the Spire's elite force of computer wizards, commonly referred to as "Telecommandos" will be filling this role, along with 70 Agents from the Special Tactics Force to protect the physical hardware storing the data.

As you request, the reunification with North Korea option will be added to the info-terminal based ballots. The servers running these are all in one undisclosed floor in our HQ, as to make protection much easier.

((OOC: Hooray for completely brainwashed officials from South Korea.))

The Telecommandos were actually going to be used to not only protect the vote from unauthorized access, but to change the data without leaving any footprints. The Special Tactics Force Agents were to prevent Hamilay or Tokyoni spies from uncovering the Telecommandos while they manipulate the servers. The final vote results were to be rigged to the following:

70% Stay with GWO
15% Stay Sovereign
15% Unify with North Korea

Official Statement of the Federal Republic of Hamilay

The Grand World Order, through its refusal to allow international observers into this election process and its lack of response to our communications, instead delegating its illegal South Korean puppet government to respond in its place, unfortunately leaves us with no choice. As of this moment, a state of war exists between the Federal Republic of Hamilay and the Fascist Federation of the Grand World Order, as well as all allies of the GWO who attempt to preserve its illegal rule in South Korea.

Fleet Admiral Holland's reverie was interrupted by one of the bridge crew. It was the communications officer, a Lieutenant Smith or some other painfully average name, Holland couldn't quite remember. The young man marched up and saluted, his trepidation poorly masked by his stiff demeanour.

"Message for you from Sayenna, Fleet Admiral sah. Vice-Admiral Ballantine is also on the line, she states the enemy has been sighted."

Holland raised an eyebrow. "Put Ballantine on."

"Admiral Holland?" An indistinct electronic voice emananted from the radio transmitter the lieutenant handed him.

"I'm listening, Vice-Admiral."

"Pickets have sighted vessels to the west, positive ID as East Congaree forces, probably out of Qingdao. Mostly transports, a few escorts. Permission to launch fighters and move to engage?"

The lieutenant pushed the communique towards Holland, starting to speak. Holland snatched it from his hand and glared, causing the younger officer to jump and scurry away. He glanced over the first few lines and his lips creased into a smile. Ballantine was in luck - strictly speaking, orders were to hold fire until the official declaration came through, and here it was.

"Sir?"

"Permission granted, scramble your planes. You may move to engage with surface vessels if necessary."

"Yessir, thank you sir."

Three minutes later, the flagship of the 19th Battle Group, the carrier RHS Divine Intervention, swung west, closely followed by its twenty escorts. The first planes of Intervention's carrier air group, forty-four F-194A 'Pandora' strike fighters and forty F-48C 'Peregrine' air superiority fighters were in the air. On their fourteen hardpoints, the Pandoras carried anti-shipping missiles and laser-guided bombs, with a pair of R-73s each for self-defence. The Peregrines would likely not be needed on this attack, with no enemy carriers, but it never hurt to be prepared. They carried ten R-77 and R-73 missiles, plus a pair of their own laser-guided bombs and two Aequatian Maverick-II air-to-surface missiles, not dedicated AShMs but still more than able to ruin a smaller vessel's day.

Meanwhile, as the main fleet continued towards the Korean coast, ninety Tu-160 strategic bombers and a hundred and twenty F-48 escorts flew overhead, targeted on major population centres in South Korea. The Blackjacks were not part of the initial deployment but had been flying from Hamilay since the GWO coup, their 40,000 kilogram bomb bays loaded with a special cargo.

Having previously assured the Republic of South Korea of support through private channels, the Union is highly dismayed to see the Republic attacked by the Grand World Order under such flimsy excuse as the assassination of an official with no connection to the Order. Where we come from, countries don't lose their sovereignty if an elected official happens to die.

To the government of the Grand World Order, the Union harshly condemns the Order's actions in Korea - the latest episode in a long string of belligerence on the international stage. Whilst a peaceful solution for all involved would be more than ideal - with the interests of the South Korean people first at hand - we must give warning that should the Order refuse to come to the negotiating table over the fate of South Korea, Manthian response will involve more than just strong words.

You may consider this a formal ultimatum. Indicate your government's willingness to attend a series of talks - with, at a minimum, involvement on the other side of legitimate representatives of the South Korean government and participation of Manthian observers, and the topics of South Korean sovereignty and territorial integrity on the table - within the next forty-eight hours. Failure to comply with this ultimatum will be met with swift consequences.

Finally and on a related note, any citizens of the former Republic of South Korea who can make their way to Manthian borders are welcome to stay within the Union for the duration of the occupation. We take this opportunity to request that the Order not interfere with any such movement of citizens.

It was true, the two Provincial Command Centers DID know about the Hamilay forces.

Before the Hamilay aircraft even reached the GWO's waters, Seoul Province had put nearly a thousand SAM missiles of different designs and guidance systems into the air, forming the initial wave of anti-air defense. 140 F-22s, F-23s, and F-35s took off, staying over GWO territory. The 140 planes were simply quick-response aircraft, as the two provinces housed 1,800 fighters, with more being built and sent to Northeast Asia every day to complete Seoul's Air Defense Garrison.

A collection of GWO satellites positioned themselves within striking distance of Hamilay's Capital (I don't know what it is. Sorry.). Each of these satellites were essentially boxes with communications equipment.

However, each one had a deadly cargo. They were God Rod carriers of both sizes: "Crowbar" and "Telephone Pole".

Another satellite sat hundreds of miles away from Hamilay. This was F-DS-5, a much more complex vehicle. It actually had a crew on board to maintain it. The satellite was armed with counter-missile technology and a giant designator. This was being used to tell the God Rod satellites where their target was.

The God Rods began making their preparations for the massive orbital strike on Hamilay's Capital. Each was targeting the down town area, except for two that specifically targeted Hamilay's capital building.

The countdown was set at 30 minutes, or until a satellite was destroyed by ASAT munitions.

We would first like to say that we did not "Attack" South Korea. We merely deployed a force to protect them from the nation of Tokyoni, who has been caught attempting to buy weapons-grade Uranium for a nuclear weapons project SPECIFICALLY for use against South Korea, as said in an unencrypted message ((omglink)) (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13726942&postcount=46) to a nation selling Uranium. Fortunately, their order was denied by the seller. During our presence, the South Korean President was murdered, presumably by Tokyoni assassins. This was a morale destroyer for South Korea's people, and would definately lead to an easier invasion attempt from Tokyoni.

We annexed South Korea peacefully. During an investigation into South Korea's political actions, we found that the former method of government was highly unstable and inefficient. Their military and police forces were horribly outdated. They were essentially ASKING for an invasion, and rather than let their people die in a war they would never have a chance of winning, we PEACEFULLY annexed them. They have prospered since our rule. They have provided great scientists to help develope greater technologies alongside our own, more land so that our population, them included, could recieve more food, and have supplied more resources for our great nation. In return, we have set up an efficient government, completely upgraded their defense forces, upgraded their economy, and allowed them access to our scientific achievements. In addition, we protected them from a brutal Communist invasion that could have gone nuclear.

We, too, wish to see the South and North united once again. Unfortunately, Tokyoni won't just give away North Korea. Until all foreign forces against our own leave, the Koreas will remain divided. Nobody wants to see that, we're sure.

As for your meeting, we unfortunately cannot send our leaders. Instead, we will be sending a citizen (Who's name does not matter) with a PDA to any sort of meeting. The PDA will be turned into a telephone, essentially. Both the Grand Commander and Count Richard will be visually present on the PDA, so we do hope you will have a projector at the meeting.

On a final note, we would like to remind you that South Korea is bordered by one nation, and one nation only: Tokyoni. From what we have seen, Tokyoni is an unstable and corrupted Communist nation with a delusional leader. Intelligence even suggests that they sneak hallucinogens and sedatives into the populace's water to strengthen their grip on them. We don't believe a South Korean citizen would be able to reach your nation without being murdered by Tokyonis.

Whilst harboring extreme misgivings about your statements, we are pleased that the Grand World Order has committed to negotiations, and will forbear until those talks have begun to bring up our concerns. Diplomatic personnel aboard the Union Navy warship Delos, operating in the South China Sea, are prepared to receive your diplomats, and while the presence of your national leaders is not required at this time - a diplomatic delegation of whomever you should choose to send, as long as they are empowered to negotiate over the issue of South Korea, will be sufficient - personal attendance by diplomats would likely make the talks more productive. However if you insist on proceeding via video there will be no need to take a citizen of yours aboard the ship, as the Delos is quite capable of setting up such communications remotely.

We would like to note that the obvious method for any South Korean national to reach Manth would be by sea to one of the Union's bases in Southeast Asia, or merely by direct sea voyage to the Red Sea seaports. Not only that, but the sea has its hardships, as we all know.

We will not try to stop our citizens from leaving, so long as they do not leave to hostile or Communist/Anarchist nations (Unless they are mercenaries fighting against such a nation). Thus, we will not stop our citizens from leaving to New Manth.

We do persist with a video conference, as your ship seems dangerously close to Hamilay's invasion force, and as said before, our leaders cannot depart to another nation or ship unless the said rendezvous area is allied or firmly under our control. They were escorted by two MiG-23M fighters, who planned to go with them as they launched the missiles at the carrier who had attacked the East Congaree Qingdao Task Force with its aircraft. When they got within range, the high-explosive ordinance anti-shipping missiles would dash towards the Hamilayan carrier.
